- 2:13Speaker 1: I feel it's necessary to explain what I.
- 2:16Speaker 6: Say in the morning because somebody asked me, what do
- 2:18Speaker 6: you mean by that when you say that in the morning.
- 2:21Speaker 6: When I say, uh huh, it's in response to David
- 2:26Speaker 6: Hollister opening the song by saying, go ahead, big Daddy,
- 2:30Speaker 6: go ahead, I said, uh huh, I show will. Then
- 2:34Speaker 6: I say good morning everybody, because I was raised a rage.
- 2:37Speaker 6: You're supposed to speak when you come in the room.
- 2:39Speaker 6: I'm coming in y'all's room, whether it's your bedroom, the
- 2:43Speaker 6: room in your house, your car, your office, you know,

- 2:49Speaker 6: I say, good morning, everybody. You are listening to the voice.
- 2:53Speaker 6: And then I got to introduce myself because as a performer,
- 2:57Speaker 6: I always felt my best when I was introduce. No,
- 3:01Speaker 6: why would you walk out on stage anybody introduce you.
- 3:04Speaker 6: You can't get a round of applause. It's just it's horrible.
- 3:07Speaker 6: So I say, you are listening to the voice one
- 3:10Speaker 6: and only Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now. Now
- 3:14Speaker 6: that's old school. I got that, but that's I was
- 3:17Speaker 6: once again, dig me Now is I want you to
- 3:20Speaker 6: feel what I'm about to say. That's all I'm saying.
- 3:24Speaker 6: That's not a bragging thing. You know, you are listening
- 3:28Speaker 6: to the voice one and only Steve Harvey. Come on,
- 3:31Speaker 6: dig me now. I'm just asking you to feel what
- 3:33Speaker 6: I'm saying in the morning because it's part of a
- 3:36Speaker 6: promise that I made to God. See a long time ago,
- 3:39Speaker 6: I told God if he allowed me to make it,
- 3:43Speaker 6: that when I got there, I would tell everybody I
- 3:46Speaker 6: know how I did it, and I wasn't gonna shortcut
- 3:49Speaker 6: it or shade him on it. I said, if you
- 3:51Speaker 6: allow me to make it, if you give me the strength,
- 3:55Speaker 6: the courage, the wisdom you gave me a gift if
- 3:58Speaker 6: you let me apply it, don't destroy myself in the process.
- 4:03Speaker 6: Forgive me for my sins along the way, continue to
- 4:07Speaker 6: hold and rock me when I need it. When I
- 4:10Speaker 6: make it, I promise you Lord, when I get there,
- 4:13Speaker 6: I will tell everybody how I made it.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Well.
- 4:18Speaker 6: This started back in LA when I got on the
- 4:21Speaker 6: radio and I was making it okay. I was doing okay,
- 4:27Speaker 6: but I had to keep my promise to God. My
- 4:30Speaker 6: promise was, if you allow me to make it, I'll
- 4:33Speaker 6: tell everybody how I got there. I have to tell
- 4:37Speaker 6: you that every day because if it was not for
- 4:41Speaker 6: that grace and mercy, I wouldn't even be here able
- 4:44Speaker 6: to fulfill my promise, because I've done enough dirt in
- 4:48Speaker 6: my life. Man to not be worthy. He could have
- 4:51Speaker 6: easily walked away from me a long time ago because
- 4:55Speaker 6: I had show walked away from him. See, and I
- 4:59Speaker 6: didn't walk away from from him once. I walked away
- 5:01Speaker 6: from him a bunch of times. But guess what he
- 5:05Speaker 6: forgave me a bunch of times. I'm a living example
- 5:10Speaker 6: of hundreds of chances. His forgiveness and his mercy is
- 5:16Speaker 6: available for everybody. It's the only reason I get on
- 5:20Speaker 6: this show every day. It's the only reason I have
- 5:22Speaker 6: the blessings that's come in my way. It's the only
- 5:25Speaker 6: way that the things that keep happening in my life, man,
- 5:28Speaker 6: that I have no explanation for, is because of His
- 5:33Speaker 6: grace and mercy. See, anytime something good happens in my
- 5:37Speaker 6: life and I can't explain it, that's usually him, he
- 5:42Speaker 6: exhibits to me. Remember, I'm a forgiving god.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Man. Remember, So when you fall, Steve, don't lay down there.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Don't you lay down there. Don't you let the devil
- 5:52Speaker 1: fool you that because you'd have made some mistakes that
- 5:55Speaker 1: you ain't that you can't do it because everybody gonna
- 5:59Speaker 1: make them unperfect. No, not once.
- 6:01Speaker 6: So get up, keep moving, keep pushing, step on what
- 6:06Speaker 6: you're laying there for. Your daddy didn't raise you that way. Look, man,
- 6:11Speaker 6: my father was just about manhood. I'm gonna just tell you.
- 6:14Speaker 6: My daddy never had a conversation with me about church.
- 6:17Speaker 6: He beat me for not going, but you know a
- 6:20Speaker 6: couple of times, but he wasn't about that wasn't his message.
- 6:24Speaker 6: That was my mama's job. My mama taught me about
- 6:27Speaker 6: being saved about loving the Lord, about giving your life,
- 6:30Speaker 6: about the teachings of Jesus Christ. My mama was a
- 6:33Speaker 6: Sunday school teacher, so I got all of that from her.
- 6:36Speaker 6: My old man ain't had none of that for me.
- 6:38Speaker 6: My old man talked to me about one thing all
- 6:41Speaker 6: day long, hard working manhood, and well, you're gonna get
- 6:44Speaker 6: that if you don't get nothing else from me. He
- 6:46Speaker 6: gave that to me, so I got it. See, so,
- 6:50Speaker 6: my father, you say, excuse my language, but you ain't
- 6:52Speaker 6: gonna sit there like no little punk up in here.
- 6:54Speaker 6: You ain't what you're finna do. You finna get up
- 6:56Speaker 6: and go do what you're supposed to do. Now, stop
- 6:58Speaker 6: all that whine and like so little punkin gone get
- 7:01Speaker 6: the movie. That's how my father talked to me. Now,
- 7:02Speaker 6: I'm just telling you real. It worked for me, though,
- 7:05Speaker 6: And before you start emailing me, that had nothing to
- 7:08Speaker 6: do with homosexuality at all. It's just that was his
- 7:12Speaker 6: term for a man not acting like a man. That's
- 7:15Speaker 6: all it was he had. It was not a gay
- 7:17Speaker 6: reference at all. I want you to understand that before
- 7:19Speaker 6: you started emailing me, So my daddy wasn't calling. That
- 7:22Speaker 6: was not a sexual reference for him. My father talked
- 7:25Speaker 6: to us. That's what he meant. I knew exactly what
- 7:27Speaker 6: he meant. He couldn't admit nothing if he ain't even
- 7:29Speaker 6: know nothing about that. My man clueless when it come
- 7:31Speaker 6: to that right there. So when I was getting down
- 7:35Speaker 6: and feeling bad about myself, my old man, he taught
- 7:38Speaker 6: me this toughness. Man, he gave me this grit, this doggedness,
- 7:42Speaker 6: this go to work and work hard. That's why today,
- 7:45Speaker 6: when God does bless me with something, he ain't got
- 7:48Speaker 6: to worry about me not working hard because that's in me.
- 7:53Speaker 1: And when I get tired, I asked that.
- 7:56Speaker 6: Same God for strift to keep on doing so I
- 7:59Speaker 6: can do the blessings he got for me. So when
- 8:02Speaker 6: you ask me how you gonna do all this, Steve Harvey,
- 8:05Speaker 6: I don't know. I ain't got to figure that out.
- 8:08Speaker 6: All I got to do is show up with the
- 8:10Speaker 6: same amount of faith of being showing up with God
- 8:12Speaker 6: handled the rest of it. See y'all, hey man, let
- 8:16Speaker 6: me tell you something. I don't see how you do it.
- 8:18Speaker 6: I don't either, can I get you, hey man?
- 8:21Speaker 1: Newsflash?
- 8:22Speaker 6: Let me hear I don't see how you doing all that,
- 8:24Speaker 6: Steve you doing this you doing that?
- 8:26Speaker 1: You can I tell you something I don't either.
- 8:28Speaker 6: I just wake up with the faith man and trusting
- 8:31Speaker 6: that if He gonna bless me with it, he must
- 8:33Speaker 6: be gonna show me a way how to get it done.
- 8:35Speaker 1: See I ain't tripping on that part.
- 8:37Speaker 6: See, once you take yourself out the how to business,
- 8:41Speaker 6: you can go on and get with it. But see
- 8:44Speaker 6: if you gonna trip yourself out with the how to,
- 8:46Speaker 6: you can't think like God can think. You can't figure
- 8:49Speaker 6: like God can figure. So now you sit up in here,
- 8:51Speaker 6: God Lord, I want this to happen for me. Then
- 8:54Speaker 6: I don't know how I'm gonna do all that. Well,
- 8:56Speaker 6: guess what?
- 8:57Speaker 1: You in the way? Now, see you? Now you in
- 8:59Speaker 1: the way because see God ain't asked you to figure
- 9:02Speaker 1: out how to?
- 9:03Speaker 6: He said, ask and believe. Then he said faith without
- 9:09Speaker 6: works is dead. That's my solution. That's the concoction that
- 9:13Speaker 6: I'm functioning on.
- 9:15Speaker 1: All I got to do is accept the blessing, keep
- 9:18Speaker 1: the faith, be willing to work and believe God can
- 9:22Speaker 1: do anything but fail. Why would God bring me this
- 9:27Speaker 1: far to leave me? Why would He bring you this
- 9:31Speaker 1: far to leave you?
- 9:34Speaker 7: So?
- 9:34Speaker 1: Why I get up every morning?
- 9:37Speaker 6: I have no choice. I got to get up in
- 9:40Speaker 6: here to rest. When I'm running late, Man, I try
- 9:42Speaker 6: to plow through here.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Sometime I don't make it. Man, I got to do
- 9:44Speaker 1: a rerun. But I plow through here because man, Steve,
- 9:47Speaker 1: you're gonna run out something to say. Na, I'm gonna
- 9:49Speaker 1: just keep thinking. Now. You can't run out of that,
- 9:51Speaker 1: can you? Because you owe him that?
- 9:53Speaker 6: Matter of fact, when I get through talking, I really
- 9:56Speaker 6: ain't thanked him enough.
- 9:57Speaker 8: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 6: Ladies and gentlemen, everybody, whoever you are, If you can
- 10:10Speaker 6: hear me, I want you to understand something. You are
- 10:14Speaker 6: blessed and highly favored. If you are listening to me,
- 10:20Speaker 6: it is for a reason. Start with blessed and highly favored. Man,
- 10:26Speaker 6: listen to me, y'all, that's really good news. Have you
- 10:29Speaker 6: ever thought about that? Just the fact that you are
- 10:32Speaker 6: awake and alive today put you over there in the
- 10:36Speaker 6: favorite column. Claim that and then act like that's what
- 10:42Speaker 6: I do. I act like I'm one of his favorites.
- 10:45Speaker 6: And man, I just watched stuff happen. I started doing
- 10:49Speaker 6: something of late. I want to suggest to you all.
- 10:53Speaker 6: I want you to start professing things into your life,
- 10:57Speaker 6: projecting them into your life, drawing them into your life.
- 11:00Speaker 6: I want you to start by using the words I am.
- 11:05Speaker 6: I am. When you say I am, that's a claim.
- 11:11Speaker 6: I am healthy, I am saying I am one of
- 11:19Speaker 6: God's favorites, I am a man of God, I am prosperous,
- 11:25Speaker 6: I am. Just say it, just say I am. I'm
- 11:28Speaker 6: telling you it's a game change. I'm just telling you.
- 11:30Speaker 6: I'm just telling you because if the word is true
- 11:33Speaker 6: that a man is as he thinking, I get to
- 11:36Speaker 6: thinking that if I was Hugh. That's just a suggestion.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Ladies and gentlemen, Shirley Strawberry calling for real Mississippi Monica Jr.
- 11:44Speaker 6: And the legend that he is Nephew Tommick Junior.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Are you up?
- 11:48Speaker 6: Man?
- 11:49Speaker 2: You talking about the I am? Do you when you
- 11:51Speaker 2: just start something like this, do you?
- 11:53Speaker 1: Did you know what you say to do?
- 11:55Speaker 2: Are you are well supposed to be aware of that?
- 11:56Speaker 2: You know that I am and everything you.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Just said what you mean.
- 12:00Speaker 9: So it's like a mindset that has to go with that,
- 12:02Speaker 9: and you have to really believe that part.
- 12:05Speaker 6: Well, you know, you got to practice mindset. You have
- 12:08Speaker 6: to practice being a positive person. You have to practice
- 12:13Speaker 6: eradicate negativity from your mind.
- 12:16Speaker 1: And man, we live in a fallen world.
- 12:18Speaker 6: We live in Instagram, we live in social media, we
- 12:21Speaker 6: live in clicks and baits dog. We live in evil times.
- 12:25Speaker 6: And if you're not careful, that stuff premates through your mind.
- 12:29Speaker 6: You have to make a conscious effort of the things
- 12:33Speaker 6: you think about. You can't control what's going on in
- 12:37Speaker 6: this world today. You can control how you cope with it.
- 12:42Speaker 6: You can control how you think about it. You can
- 12:46Speaker 6: control your relationship with God to keep you in a
- 12:51Speaker 6: state of peace in the midst of all turmoil. So
- 12:55Speaker 6: it's a practice, man, It's not an automatic, you know.
- 13:00Speaker 6: It's just like anything else you children are taught to hate.
- 13:06Speaker 6: If you put children on the playground of all different colors,
- 13:10Speaker 6: you know what they do. They play together. They're just
- 13:13Speaker 6: going out there and make it work. But if one
- 13:16Speaker 6: of them kids has been taught that this other kid
- 13:20Speaker 6: over here because of the way they look, it's different
- 13:23Speaker 6: from you, and you ought to act different than here.
- 13:25Speaker 8: It come.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Other than that.
- 13:28Speaker 8: Man.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Kids just go out there and make it happen. But
- 13:31Speaker 6: positivity is a practice. Man, you gotta practice at junior.
- 13:35Speaker 8: I am all right, guys, thank you. Coming up at
- 13:38Speaker 8: thirty two minutes after the hour, we will hear from
- 13:40Speaker 8: the nephew as he runs that prank back right after.
- 13:43Speaker 1: This and I am sexy.
- 13:46Speaker 8: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Have you

- 14:45Speaker 1: Okay, far great? Great?
- 14:47Speaker 7: Now I am the accident and condition coordinated the last
- 14:51Speaker 7: person that it goes to before actually issuing out a check,
- 14:54Speaker 7: and just wanted to give you a call and see
- 14:57Speaker 7: how everything is going going. Have you Have you been
- 14:59Speaker 7: to the doctor on your fall and just wanted to
- 15:01Speaker 7: do a follow up with you and make sure everything
- 15:04Speaker 7: is okay.
- 15:05Speaker 10: Yeah, everything is just fine.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 15:07Speaker 7: Have you needed to do any rehabilitation work or anything
- 15:10Speaker 7: like that. This is just a random procedure of all
- 15:13Speaker 7: the notes that I have to write down, and like
- 15:14Speaker 7: I said, this is the final step of getting you
- 15:17Speaker 7: out of check. Now, the last I heard, you were
- 15:20Speaker 7: offered two thousand dollars? Is that correct?
- 15:22Speaker 10: If you work there? You going to supervisor? You would
- 15:26Speaker 10: know all that if you were there.
- 15:28Speaker 7: Okay, Well, I'm just looking at the file that I have. Man,
- 15:30Speaker 7: I don't have everything You've.
- 15:32Speaker 10: Got that wrote down? That's what they offer.
- 15:35Speaker 7: Okay, Well listen, here's what we're doing. I've also been
- 15:39Speaker 7: brought some other records. Is this the first time you've
- 15:42Speaker 7: actually had an incident like this? Is this the first
- 15:46Speaker 7: time you've had an incident of actually falling?
- 15:49Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, that's my first time.
- 15:52Speaker 7: Okay, Well, actually, what we're doing looking over the records here.
- 15:57Speaker 7: I've got some actual incident that it seems like you've
- 16:01Speaker 7: actually fallen several times in other places. And Uh, what
- 16:05Speaker 7: I'm having to do here, ma'am, is let you know
- 16:07Speaker 7: that I am not going to sign off on this
- 16:11Speaker 7: at all. So the money that this meant offered to you,
- 16:13Speaker 7: I am no longer going to be. I'm not going
- 16:16Speaker 7: to confirm this check to go out to you. I
- 16:18Speaker 7: don't think that there's anything wrong with you. I don't
- 16:21Speaker 7: think that you have a problem. I think that there's
- 16:23Speaker 7: something that you deliberately did in one of our stores.
- 16:27Speaker 10: I could cure less of that. What you think what
- 16:30Speaker 10: happened was that was on the floor. I feel I'm
- 16:34Speaker 10: day gonna have to pay for the claim either way
- 16:36Speaker 10: it go.
- 16:37Speaker 7: No, we're not going to actually, ma'am. What I'm gonna
- 16:39Speaker 7: have to do is get you to come down and.
- 16:41Speaker 10: Sign an agreement nowhere.
- 16:44Speaker 7: Yes, I'm gonna need you to come down and sign
- 16:46Speaker 7: an agreement that you actually made this whole thing up,
- 16:49Speaker 7: and I need that in Roy.
- 16:51Speaker 10: I'm not coming nowhere.
- 16:52Speaker 7: Look, ma'am, I don't care if you come down or
- 16:54Speaker 7: I have to come down and haul your in because
- 16:57Speaker 7: I'm not signing over a check to you for somebody
- 16:59Speaker 7: to liberately laid down in the floor and act like
- 17:02Speaker 7: something was.
- 17:02Speaker 10: Wrong with them, deliberately done.
- 17:06Speaker 8: How exactly did it was?
- 17:09Speaker 10: Witnesses? You need to talk to them.
- 17:11Speaker 7: I've spoken to every witness and you know what, ma'am everyone.
- 17:14Speaker 10: Thank you to every witness. Because my friend was there,
- 17:17Speaker 10: have spoken to her.
- 17:18Speaker 1: There's a lot of people that assume that you're lying.
- 17:21Speaker 10: Well, I don't care what they assume.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Man, let me explain something. We can take this thing further.
- 17:27Speaker 7: I even have you on video actually deliberately laying down
- 17:31Speaker 7: in the middle of the floor as if you have.
- 17:34Speaker 8: No.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I am not ma'am.
- 17:37Speaker 7: We're not going to give you two We're not going
- 17:40Speaker 7: to give you two dollars.
- 17:42Speaker 1: My name is Brad with the A n C Department.
- 17:45Speaker 10: Well, you want him job too much? Wrong because you're food.
- 17:48Speaker 1: No, No, I'm not a fool. I want to make
- 17:50Speaker 1: sure that you understand. I want to make sure that
- 17:52Speaker 1: you understand that this is not something that you can
- 17:57Speaker 1: do or continue to do. Now.
- 17:59Speaker 7: I want to hear that out of your mouth. You
- 18:00Speaker 7: tell me, did you lay down in that floor deliberately?
- 18:03Speaker 10: You crave them? You think I'm finished seting here and
- 18:06Speaker 10: tell you I deliberately laid down in the floor.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Am I crazy? Am I crazy?
- 18:12Speaker 10: For you to sit here and tell me to track
- 18:14Speaker 10: them to sell that it as all?
- 18:17Speaker 7: No, deliberately laid down on that floor, and you're deliberately
- 18:21Speaker 7: trying to get two thousand dollars worth of money that
- 18:23Speaker 7: does not belong to you.
- 18:24Speaker 10: What you just review? Damn kate then and uh you

- 29:23Speaker 8: He wants to shut down the office and do the

- 30:26Speaker 8: It's at the top of the right off office entertainment news.
- 30:30Speaker 8: Right after this, you're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. According
- 30:39Speaker 8: to ABC seven in Detroit, Bishop Marvin Whinings of Perfecting
- 30:44Speaker 8: Church hosted a Day of Giving on Sunday this past Sunday,
- 30:48Speaker 8: asking members to donate one thousand dollars and raise another
- 30:51Speaker 8: thousand dollars to help finish the new Sanctuary in Detroit
- 30:55Speaker 8: and support community programs. Pastor Marvin Winings received a lot
- 30:59Speaker 8: of back from a video that's gone viral claiming that
- 31:03Speaker 8: he rebuked a church member for her twelve hundred dollars
- 31:06Speaker 8: gift instead of two thousand dollars. That he requested the
- 31:10Speaker 8: congregation member and Pastor Winand spoke to ABC seven in
- 31:14Speaker 8: Detroit to try to clear things up. Take a list.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Then the woman in that viral video, he did not
- 31:19Speaker 2: rebuke you.
- 31:20Speaker 12: He absolutely did not rebuke me. Now there's a difference.
- 31:24Speaker 12: There was a correction because let me clearly state that
- 31:29Speaker 12: pastor gave instruction on the lines to get into.
- 31:33Speaker 13: I was calling because the whole church was giving, and
- 31:36Speaker 13: it was our day of giving, and the whole church
- 31:38Speaker 13: was coming, and we didn't want people standing, the mothers
- 31:41Speaker 13: and all that.
- 31:42Speaker 1: So I was calling them.
- 31:43Speaker 13: By increments and we had someone that had given out
- 31:49Speaker 13: of before and I corrected it, and I told everybody
- 31:53Speaker 13: to listen and come when you call, and that's all
- 31:56Speaker 13: that was.
- 31:57Speaker 1: So that's all that was, y know. I grew up here.
- 32:03Speaker 1: It up for me. Anybody I grew up in church.
- 32:06Speaker 7: Normally the whole side stand and you go and that
- 32:09Speaker 7: side goes up and put their money the way it
- 32:11Speaker 7: was back in the day.
- 32:13Speaker 6: So what we're talking about, we're not doing that no more.
- 32:17Speaker 6: I'm giving instructions. Now, you come up in here. When
- 32:20Speaker 6: I asked you to come up in here with their mind,
- 32:23Speaker 6: I asked you to come up in here with Now
- 32:26Speaker 6: I said a thousand and.
- 32:28Speaker 7: A thousand, okay, So if I ain't got five hundred,
- 32:31Speaker 7: what well.
- 32:32Speaker 1: What is you up here for?
- 32:33Speaker 8: A dollar line?
- 32:35Speaker 6: So you need to be and you ought to be
- 32:37Speaker 6: used to this. You need to be in the shop line.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Because I got five hundred.
- 32:44Speaker 6: And you know, it's like it's like this for social media.
- 32:55Speaker 6: Social media gonna make everything how they want to kin
- 32:58Speaker 6: look windings they that family been dynamic for a.
- 33:02Speaker 8: Long time, years and years.
- 33:04Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, I don't think he's a bad guy
- 33:07Speaker 6: at all. I don't appreciate what he said about the
- 33:10Speaker 6: frats and all that. But you know, because I'm not
- 33:12Speaker 6: going to Hell because I'm a cute, I'm just gonna
- 33:15Speaker 6: put that out.
- 33:16Speaker 7: I'm not going because i'm.
- 33:17Speaker 6: A I'm not going to Hell because I'm a cute.
- 33:21Speaker 6: I'm gonna just trust me. It's some capitals in Hell
- 33:27Speaker 6: I'm that's I had a bigger problem with that, didn't it?
- 33:33Speaker 7: George?
- 33:34Speaker 6: What I tell you to bring up here?
- 33:38Speaker 5: What I asked you?
- 33:42Speaker 1: Going on for twenty years?
- 33:44Speaker 7: Huh, they've been building on this trip for twenty years.
- 33:48Speaker 6: But hey, Tom, what building fund at my church from
- 33:53Speaker 6: time I was eight till I left it twenty seven?
- 33:56Speaker 1: And we hadn't put a doknob.
- 33:59Speaker 8: You gotta start somewhere and you go until it's finished,
- 34:04Speaker 8: all right?
- 34:05Speaker 6: But then my church I went back to visit my
- 34:07Speaker 6: sister and a brand new church was there.
- 34:11Speaker 1: See look what year was that? How were you when
- 34:14Speaker 1: you went back to visit your sister two years ago?
- 34:20Speaker 6: Church?
- 34:25Speaker 10: Well?
- 34:25Speaker 8: In other h other news, according to TMZ, one of
- 34:30Speaker 8: Ditty's closest friends, that Diddy was attacked at the Metropolitan
- 34:34Speaker 8: Detention Center in Brooklyn. Where did he woke up with
- 34:37Speaker 8: a knife pressed to his throat? Did He's friend didn't
- 34:41Speaker 8: say if did he fought the inmate or if the
- 34:43Speaker 8: guards broke it up as we previously told you did.
- 34:46Speaker 8: He was sentenced to fifty months in federal prison. So, yeah,
- 34:50Speaker 8: this was something that happened.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Got to get to this prison, he got to get
- 34:55Speaker 1: out there.
- 34:56Speaker 11: So he's safer yet waiting over this with this shank
- 35:03Speaker 11: on your.
- 35:03Speaker 8: Throat, Yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
- 35:06Speaker 6: And then if he don't know, if he fought back,
- 35:09Speaker 6: if you got a knife on your throat.
- 35:10Speaker 1: If the guards broke it up.
- 35:12Speaker 11: Well, the friend doesn't know. The other friend, the friend
- 35:15Speaker 11: that's telling the story, he said he doesn't know.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Or if so, let me ask you this, who told
- 35:20Speaker 1: the friend what happened?
- 35:21Speaker 8: Step for well speaking. They reported Monday that President Trump
- 35:29Speaker 8: was vacillating on whether to grant Diddy clemency. However, a
- 35:32Speaker 8: White House official told NBC News, quote, there is zero
- 35:37Speaker 8: truth to the TMZ report, which would have we would
- 35:40Speaker 8: have gladly explained, have they reached out before running their
- 35:44Speaker 8: fake news? The president non anonymous sources is the final

- 38:35Speaker 8: Have you have you, guys, ever secretly calculated how much
- 38:39Speaker 8: your partner spends on stuff you'd spend zero on. First
- 38:45Speaker 8: of all, let's do that question. Have you ever calculated,
- 38:48Speaker 8: like added up what your partner spends on stuff and
- 38:51Speaker 8: why you would never spend any money on that.
- 38:56Speaker 6: No, I've calculated and had to go lay down calculate.

- 39:13Speaker 7: Trees and shrub for my backyard shed? She said, if
- 39:16Speaker 7: you buy another tree, we gonna have problems. Don't buy
- 39:18Speaker 7: nothing else. Don't go down to that nursery getting nothing else.
- 39:22Speaker 7: That's my problem. Stay steady, just creating a beautiful backyard
- 39:26Speaker 7: with a fence.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Yeah, you just had to throw that in.
- 39:31Speaker 8: Huh yeahs waiting on the h o A Steve, what
- 39:35Speaker 8: about you? You have a lot of money.
- 39:40Speaker 7: He'll buy a watch and shock all of us, just one.
- 39:46Speaker 6: I've been a long time since I bought a watch, though,
- 39:48Speaker 6: really long time. We have a different arrangement now, to
- 39:52Speaker 6: be honest with you, our arrangement is so much better.
- 39:56Speaker 6: When I first got married, I was still shot from
- 40:00Speaker 6: I had baggage from my previous relationship, and so I
- 40:04Speaker 6: guarded the money differently because I was afraid what happened
- 40:08Speaker 6: to me before would happened again. And then I had
- 40:11Speaker 6: to learn that I had a real partner. I wasn't
- 40:14Speaker 6: trying to hurt me, that was really trying to help
- 40:16Speaker 6: me get over the top. And so then I was
- 40:18Speaker 6: able to relax about its. Well, I didn't loosen the rains.
- 40:23Speaker 6: I just quit. Count Martin is not really a person
- 40:28Speaker 6: you can like put the reins on. I'd like to
- 40:36Speaker 6: see you going there and saddle hub, you know, get
- 40:40Speaker 6: a bride on and try to hook it on my
- 40:42Speaker 6: mouth and ask her to he quiet.
- 40:45Speaker 1: That ain't not ain't who I'm married to.
- 40:48Speaker 8: Here's the other question, how does your spending compare with
- 40:51Speaker 8: your spouse?
- 40:51Speaker 7: Is?
- 40:52Speaker 8: Does your spouse spend more or do you spend more?
- 40:54Speaker 1: Oh, it ain't even close. It ain't spre you spend more.
- 41:00Speaker 1: That's been more to my wife.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, I have been more in my relation. Yeah,
- 41:06Speaker 2: I'm it's here.
- 41:07Speaker 6: Well, we wouldn't have that coming up.

- 41:28Speaker 8: Steve It's time now to check your voicemail at eight
- 41:30Speaker 8: seven seven twenty nine, Steve. You can call us and
- 41:33Speaker 8: leave a message and you just might hear your call
- 41:35Speaker 8: on the air. This is from Selena Steve who left
- 41:39Speaker 8: a message about grief.
- 41:40Speaker 15: Take a listen, Hey, Steve. My name is Selena. I'm
- 41:43Speaker 15: thirty four years old and I recently lost my mom.
- 41:47Speaker 15: It is about to be a year in December, and
- 41:50Speaker 15: I find myself really like homaging into Green's and just
- 41:55Speaker 15: having that like, dang, you.
- 41:57Speaker 16: Really lest me girl.
- 41:59Speaker 15: You seem to give really good advice and I want
- 42:02Speaker 15: you to do it, to see you all. But so
- 42:05Speaker 15: I was just calling because I wanted to know if
- 42:08Speaker 15: you can give me some advice because I know she's
- 42:10Speaker 15: nine times out of seeing and she would agree with
- 42:12Speaker 15: what you had to say.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 42:14Speaker 6: Well, you know, grief is different for everybody. There's no
- 42:21Speaker 6: manual for grief. Grief is oftentimes just the missing of
- 42:28Speaker 6: love and that I don't know that that goes away.
- 42:32Speaker 6: I still grieve the loss of my mother, and it's
- 42:35Speaker 6: been twenty eight years.
- 42:38Speaker 1: I still grieve that.
- 42:40Speaker 6: Here's what you have to do, though, and I learned
- 42:43Speaker 6: this at my mom's funeral. I was sitting there and
- 42:48Speaker 6: I was at the most broken moment I've ever been in.
- 42:53Speaker 6: And the pastor stood up after everybody had talked, and
- 42:56Speaker 6: he was talking to the five of us, the six
- 42:59Speaker 6: of us, father and the five children, and he said,
- 43:02Speaker 6: I know this is the worst day of your life,
- 43:04Speaker 6: but I want you to take a moment to turn
- 43:06Speaker 6: around and look at this church. And for the first
- 43:09Speaker 6: time I turned around and looked at the church. It
- 43:12Speaker 6: was packed. The balcony standing room only. He said, we
- 43:16Speaker 6: got the overflow room downstairs. It's packed too, There's no
- 43:21Speaker 6: more room.
- 43:22Speaker 1: He said.
- 43:23Speaker 6: We have put speakers outside because people are in the
- 43:27Speaker 6: parking lot on the street to come to pay respect
- 43:32Speaker 6: to your mother. Your mother has been in the soul
- 43:36Speaker 6: saving Sunday school business for forty years.
- 43:39Speaker 1: He said.
- 43:40Speaker 6: She Dodne taught every hustler, gambler, pimp, servicemen, congressman and
- 43:48Speaker 6: mayor to come through this city. He said, Now, as
- 43:51Speaker 6: you sit there and you grieve the loss of her,
- 43:55Speaker 6: I want you all to think of all of the
- 43:57Speaker 6: lives that she affected. Why this church is so full
- 44:01Speaker 6: right now, he said, Remember all the great things she
- 44:04Speaker 6: taught you. He said, now listen to this When you
- 44:08Speaker 6: do that, joy and depression cannot reside in the same space.
- 44:15Speaker 6: And for that brief moment, for the first time in
- 44:17Speaker 6: a week since my mama had died, I smiled.
- 44:21Speaker 1: I had not smiled the entire week.
- 44:24Speaker 6: And then he was right because I looked at the
- 44:26Speaker 6: procession of people that was coming around to view my
- 44:28Speaker 6: mama's body. Gangsters, hustlers, pimp, dope boys, I mean, hey man,
- 44:34Speaker 6: and they all stopped to my brothers. They was my
- 44:38Speaker 6: big brother's friends. A lot of them was mine. Hey man,
- 44:40Speaker 6: your mama tried to save me. Man, I appreciate your mama.
- 44:44Speaker 6: Your mama told me about the Lord. Is that the
- 44:46Speaker 6: only reason I'm still here. I had a dude come
- 44:50Speaker 6: see my mama. Been on the run thirty years. He
- 44:54Speaker 6: came back to Cleveland to see my mama and then
- 44:56Speaker 6: he had to get up out of town.
- 44:58Speaker 1: He's still on the run.
- 45:01Speaker 8: Good to see you.
- 45:02Speaker 1: No, chrom brother stood up and husband and they missed it.
- 45:06Speaker 1: That was a gangster moment.
- 45:07Speaker 6: But to her, think of the joyous thing she has
- 45:12Speaker 6: taught you and smile about it, and you're still gonna
- 45:16Speaker 6: share tears about it. Everybody on this show. Shirley Carler
- 45:23Speaker 6: the lost they mama. They will tell you Tommy lost
- 45:26Speaker 6: his dad. It ain't that ain't going nowhere now. Every
- 45:30Speaker 6: day it's gonna be dazed, man. But as the time
- 45:34Speaker 6: gets only been a year, it's gonna get better for you.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Just hanging that.
- 45:39Speaker 8: Yeah, hopefully Selena can take something from that. You.
- 45:43Speaker 6: And here's one other thing. This is just a little
- 45:45Speaker 6: gangster thing to keep with you. This is what keeps me.
- 45:49Speaker 6: If anybody say anything about my mama, I slapped all
- 45:53Speaker 6: the flavor out they mouth on sight on sight to
- 45:56Speaker 6: this day. I don't care who you ought. Open your
- 46:01Speaker 6: mouth if you want to. I'm gonna give you somebody's
- 46:04Speaker 6: grief today.
- 46:08Speaker 8: All right, Coming up next, have a good day, Selena. Yeah,
- 46:13Speaker 8: thank you for your call, Selena, and our condolences of course.
- 46:17Speaker 8: Next it is the nephew with a prank phone call.
- 46:19Speaker 8: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 46:28Speaker 8: Coming up at the top of the hour. Right about
- 46:30Speaker 8: four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for today, and
- 46:34Speaker 8: the subject is he shut me down. We'll get into
- 46:38Speaker 8: that find out what that's all about in just a
- 46:40Speaker 8: few because right now the nephew is here with today's
- 46:44Speaker 8: prank phone call which you got for his NEPH.
- 46:47Speaker 7: The title Shirley, is you prayed for a job? You
- 46:53Speaker 7: prayed for a job, cat dog, if you would from
- 46:59Speaker 7: the book.

- 47:26Speaker 7: the church and I heard that you were talking about
- 47:29Speaker 7: you were going through some bad times. Oh well, your
- 47:33Speaker 7: job supposedly got rid of the department that you're in
- 47:35Speaker 7: and you're now seeking a new type of work.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Am I right?
- 47:41Speaker 7: Just work period, because you're looking for a new occupation
- 47:43Speaker 7: and you I was there when you asked everybody to
- 47:45Speaker 7: pray for you. Have you Have you found anything yet?
- 47:49Speaker 17: I've been praying. We prayed again today. I asked for
- 47:54Speaker 17: the church's prayers again today, and I there are things
- 47:57Speaker 17: gonna work out, because you know he said you take
- 47:59Speaker 17: one step, you're gonna take that's right. I'm prefer and
- 48:02Speaker 17: I know it's going to happen.
- 48:03Speaker 5: I know.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Well, listen, I think I may be able to be
- 48:05Speaker 1: of some help to you.
- 48:06Speaker 7: I actually own my own company, and I'm thinking that
- 48:10Speaker 7: you could be the perfect person for a position that
- 48:12Speaker 7: I have available. Uh now, what what type of work
- 48:15Speaker 7: would you doing in the past. Give me some of
- 48:17Speaker 7: your job qualifications.
- 48:18Speaker 17: I'm an executive secretary, administrative assistant, anything like that, because
- 48:22Speaker 17: every whereas the mead, uh even take the old star shorthand.
- 48:26Speaker 17: I want to do it all and you just tell
- 48:28Speaker 17: me what you need and I can do it. Church
- 48:30Speaker 17: out your executives to come through the office, anything that's needed,
- 48:33Speaker 17: travel expenses, That's what I do.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Attitude, What type of hours are you used to?
- 48:40Speaker 17: Working nine to five? Sometimes I'll come in at Hey,
- 48:43Speaker 17: I don't know if I'm be coming at eight. I'm
- 48:45Speaker 17: coming even earlier if you need me to come in earlier.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Are you opposed to working at night?
- 48:49Speaker 17: No, I don't know. I'm working at night. I mean,
- 48:51Speaker 17: it just it just depends, you know, right. My burgers
- 48:54Speaker 17: can't be choosing I ask him and being given to me.
- 48:57Speaker 18: Okay, Well, what kind of.
- 48:59Speaker 7: You looking at I have an offer for you that
- 49:02Speaker 7: it would be Thursday Friday and Saturday night.
- 49:05Speaker 1: You will only be working three days a week for me.
- 49:07Speaker 8: Okay, Now, I'm.
- 49:09Speaker 17: Just I was looking for several female hours a female days,
- 49:12Speaker 17: any like full time. I will family well do it
- 49:15Speaker 17: to day.
- 49:15Speaker 7: Right right right, I understand, But listen, I think the
- 49:18Speaker 7: actual amount will suffice for that. Now, I'm going to
- 49:21Speaker 7: offer you seven hundred and fifty dollars per night for
- 49:25Speaker 7: three nights a week. That's that's two thousand, two hundred
- 49:28Speaker 7: and fifty dollars for those three days for one week
- 49:34Speaker 7: for line seven hundred and fifty dollars a night, and you're.
- 49:39Speaker 17: Making around two thousand something.
- 49:42Speaker 1: You're making so a week, ma'am.
- 49:44Speaker 7: And if you do the math on that, that that
- 49:46Speaker 7: adds up to about nine thousand dollars four.
- 49:49Speaker 16: Months for good to be true.
- 49:52Speaker 18: But now I put riding his hands.
- 49:54Speaker 17: I turned it over.
- 49:55Speaker 16: That's we started it.
- 49:56Speaker 17: I did it and turning seven hundred fifty dollars a nine.
- 50:00Speaker 18: Okay, I mean what I'm.
- 50:01Speaker 17: Doing cheap books, you know, because I do the accountant too.
- 50:05Speaker 7: Well, let me say this now. The reason why I
- 50:07Speaker 7: say it's at night is because I own a nightclub
- 50:10Speaker 7: and you would be working at the night club for me.
- 50:12Speaker 7: So you will put in about four or five hours
- 50:16Speaker 7: every night and for three nights a week like I
- 50:18Speaker 7: stayed at Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and and of course I'll
- 50:22Speaker 7: pay you seven hundred fifty. Matter of fact, I'll actually
- 50:24Speaker 7: pay you your first two weeks in advance.
- 50:28Speaker 18: And I need that.
- 50:29Speaker 7: No, I'm sure you You know you've you've lost your balance.
- 50:31Speaker 7: You need to get back on your feet and everything.
- 50:33Speaker 17: Yes, yes, yes, okay, So you know I'll be doing
- 50:37Speaker 17: it because I'm sure, Like I said, I can do
- 50:39Speaker 17: office work. I'm good. That's accounting front door right.
- 50:42Speaker 7: Well, no, not necessarily, I don't need you to work
- 50:45Speaker 7: the front door. I'm actually going to have you in
- 50:48Speaker 7: the club working. Okay. So I mean, how you how's
- 50:53Speaker 7: your physical condition? Are you able to get around? And
- 50:56Speaker 7: you don't get tired quick?
- 50:57Speaker 1: Do you now? Are you in good physical shape?
- 51:00Speaker 17: Let don't get tis shave, don't get talk quick at all.
- 51:02Speaker 17: You wanna do something like do you able to broad
- 51:04Speaker 17: tenders or something? And work to the bottom make sure
- 51:06Speaker 17: the money is here and nobody's stealing money from you something.
- 51:09Speaker 1: No, no, no, you're not at the bar either.
- 51:11Speaker 7: See, because what I'm gonna do Now, have you ever
- 51:13Speaker 7: done anything like, you know, anything close to dance or
- 51:16Speaker 7: anything like that.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Have you done that in the past?
- 51:18Speaker 17: Well, I do a little ballot when I was younger.
- 51:21Speaker 17: Uh trel squat, I mean the dance, and he had
- 51:26Speaker 17: go out every once in a while. You know, you
- 51:27Speaker 17: do her dancing here and there.
- 51:29Speaker 16: Okay, that's a problem with moving around.
- 51:31Speaker 7: Okay, Well that's good because see what what I wanted
- 51:33Speaker 7: you to do is I want you to do a
- 51:35Speaker 7: little bit of dancing in the club, something like something.
- 51:38Speaker 17: Like ballroom dancing or something, or you need the teacher.
- 51:41Speaker 17: I don't know how to do the ballroom dance, so
- 51:43Speaker 17: I can't work with nobody on.
- 51:44Speaker 12: That stuff like that.
- 51:45Speaker 7: No, I'm not asking you to do any ballroom dance
- 51:49Speaker 7: and anything like that.
- 51:50Speaker 1: What I need you to do, I want you to
- 51:51Speaker 1: dance on the pole. On the pole. See I have
- 51:56Speaker 1: a strip club. I want you to dance on the pole.
- 51:59Speaker 2: Pattern.
- 52:00Speaker 18: What the reds you mean in your brands and my part?
- 52:03Speaker 7: Well, actually I own the silk Stocking, which is a

- 52:07Speaker 18: Oh I'm not a silk Stocking. Look done me. You
- 52:11Speaker 18: don't want to dress nothing?
- 52:12Speaker 17: You know that you're gonnatch your mind.
- 52:16Speaker 18: I'm been asking my part for my body. We can
- 52:19Speaker 18: turnt that paying mister with the name you can.
- 52:26Speaker 7: Don't you want to make this money? I got seven
- 52:28Speaker 7: hundred and fifty dollars a night for you.
- 52:29Speaker 18: I don't know there's some money. I'll tell you right now.
- 52:32Speaker 18: You're in a pair of dance. You can part the
- 52:35Speaker 18: pa shoved pets. You have my business calling me. I
- 52:38Speaker 18: got no birk on my partner I got.
- 52:41Speaker 7: I'm trying to get you a job. Maybe they told
- 52:43Speaker 7: me that you was in need of a job.
- 52:45Speaker 1: So I'm just saying to me.
- 52:46Speaker 18: That I'm not meaning they're turning jay. I'm not meaning

- 55:57Speaker 8: They helped train and strengthen your immune response to fight

- 56:43Speaker 1: It could be yours. Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 56:45Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is Strawberry LETTA.
- 56:48Speaker 8: Thank you nephew. Subject he shut me down. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 56:53Speaker 8: my husband got a promotion at work and he's really
- 56:56Speaker 8: feeling himself lately. He stays out late at night and
- 56:59Speaker 8: has a lot of new friends that he said he
- 57:01Speaker 8: met at networking events. We are almost sixty years old,
- 57:05Speaker 8: so making new friends is not an option for me.
- 57:08Speaker 8: I have a few associates, but I don't call them friends.
- 57:12Speaker 8: I used to go to events with him, but the
- 57:13Speaker 8: last time I was preparing to go to a gala,
- 57:17Speaker 8: he said that I need to buy nicer dresses and
- 57:20Speaker 8: consider getting a weed. He also said that I should
- 57:23Speaker 8: dye my real hair because he can see my gray roots.
- 57:26Speaker 8: I'm trying to figure out what this man got when
- 57:29Speaker 8: this man got fashionable or fly because he was wearing
- 57:32Speaker 8: suits that were old and too tight. When I met him,
- 57:35Speaker 8: I polished him up and got his haircuts so I
- 57:37Speaker 8: could take him around my family back in the day.
- 57:40Speaker 8: Now he acts brand new and doesn't talk business with
- 57:43Speaker 8: me anymore. He talked about us going to Korea, but
- 57:46Speaker 8: I can remember begging him to go to Florida on
- 57:49Speaker 8: vacation with the kids for many years. I think he's
- 57:52Speaker 8: trying to keep up with the Joneses and using all
- 57:54Speaker 8: of his extra money to fit in. I'm not with it,
- 57:58Speaker 8: so I've started rebellionell and I told him that he
- 58:01Speaker 8: can go to Korea without me. We've been at odds
- 58:04Speaker 8: for a while now, and I stopped having sex with
- 58:07Speaker 8: him because he's on his high horse. This morning, after church,
- 58:11Speaker 8: he was talking to the reverend and I went to
- 58:14Speaker 8: speak my husband put his hand in my face and
- 58:17Speaker 8: shut me down in front of our pastor later he
- 58:20Speaker 8: told me that I should never interrupt two men when
- 58:23Speaker 8: they're talking. Who does he think he is? Does he
- 58:26Speaker 8: think he's better than me now? Or is something else
- 58:29Speaker 8: going on with him? I don't know you know what
- 58:32Speaker 8: the something else is you're thinking about, but yes, something
- 58:36Speaker 8: like that. I mean, it looks like since he got
- 58:39Speaker 8: his new job and he's meeting new people making more money,
- 58:41Speaker 8: he's a different person. But my colleague Steve Harvey once
- 58:45Speaker 8: told me that money makes you more of who you
- 58:47Speaker 8: really are. So he hasn't changed. He's just being his
- 58:50Speaker 8: authentic self now. And he's, you know, come up and
- 58:54Speaker 8: he has a glow up and everything, and you as
- 58:57Speaker 8: his wife, he wants you to be the same way.
- 59:00Speaker 8: I'm supposing unless he's ashamed of you. I mean, how
- 59:03Speaker 8: bad are these dresses? In your hair and all of that.
- 59:07Speaker 8: I think in his case, it is not a good
- 59:09Speaker 8: thing because he is acting like he's ashamed of you,
- 59:13Speaker 8: and that's what he means when he says get better
- 59:15Speaker 8: clothes and get a weed. He's starting to talk kind
- 59:18Speaker 8: of crazy to you. He shouldn't have put his hand
- 59:22Speaker 8: in your face when you came to speak to the pastor.
- 59:24Speaker 8: That was very rude. And of course the gress always
- 59:27Speaker 8: looks greener on the other side. It just does, especially
- 59:31Speaker 8: when you start feeling yourself, and you said he is
- 59:33Speaker 8: feeling himself. It sounds like too, he's got some sort
- 59:37Speaker 8: of late life prices going on. Well, you just need
- 59:40Speaker 8: to talk to him. You got to call him out
- 59:42Speaker 8: on what you consider his bad behavior, how he's acting
- 59:45Speaker 8: towards you. Now, you guys got to decide from there
- 59:49Speaker 8: where this marriage is heading with mister brand New, because
- 59:53Speaker 8: this letter says he's tripping a bit since he got
- 59:55Speaker 8: this promotion.
- 59:56Speaker 6: Steve, Well, for me, this letter is all over the place.
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: I you know, it's some of it I got. Especially
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: in the middle of this letter. I just got one
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: question that I want to know. And you got a
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: husband that and got this promotion at his job. Now
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: he brand New. Now he must be making some more money.
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: He's staying out late at night. He got some new friends.
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: You know, you ain't really got no friends. You got
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: some associates and used to go to events with him.
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: But the last time you was getting ready to go
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: to the gala, he said, I need to buy a
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: nicer dress and consider getting a weed. Okay, now, something
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: going on now. I don't know what dress you was
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: fitting to put on, and I don't know how your
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: hair was looking, but it then drew some attention. See,
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: you're probably trying to wear that dress, the one you
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: woree down to the VFW hall when y'all had that
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: Christmas ball four years ago, you know, with the you
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: know that with the sequence on it. Yeah, but some
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: of them had fell off in the back. That's the
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: one he was probably trying to put on now and
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: consider getting a weave. You know, he don't want to
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: go with the natural no more.
- 1:01:17Speaker 8: So.
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: I think he got some issues that he got to
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: deal with on his own. He said, you need to
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: dye your real hair because he can see my gray roots.
- 1:01:26Speaker 6: Well you can too, and they're sixty. Yeah, your hair
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: gonna have some gray in it at sixty. I'm here
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: to tell you that I'm trying to figure out when
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: this man got fashionab on a fly, because he used
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: to wear tight suits when I first met him. You
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: polished him up, got him a haircut so you could
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: take him around your family back in the day.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Now he brand new.
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: Now hit a part in the letter that threw me,
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: and I really don't know what it helped you with this.
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: He talked about us going to Cold Real, but I
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: can remember begging him go to Florida on vacation with
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: the kids for years.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: I can't.
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: I think he's trying to keep up with the Joneses.
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: I told him he can go to Korea without me.
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: But let's stop for a minute. All y'all is listening
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: to me on this radio show. Everybody on this show,
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: when the last time you heard two black people talking
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: about going to Cooreea?
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Where hell he get coreel from?
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: Who you know?
- 1:02:37Speaker 8: Wanna go to Corea?
- 1:02:40Speaker 6: You have skipped over the the mare Dees, You have
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: skipped over Thailand.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Bin, Come you don't wanna go to real? Man, you
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: ain't like to come back. I'm gonna enjoy him.
- 1:02:55Speaker 8: Hang on, we'll have part two of your response coming up.
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: Steve at A twenty three minutes atter the hour Today's
- 1:03:02Speaker 8: Strawberry letter subject he shut me down. We'll get back
- 1:03:05Speaker 8: into it right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:03:14Speaker 8: Hey everyone, quick health question. Even though you're still thriving,
- 1:03:18Speaker 8: still loving, still connecting, did you know your immune system
- 1:03:21Speaker 8: weakens with age. That's where vaccines come in. They help
- 1:03:25Speaker 8: train and strengthen your immune response to fight off certain
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: respiratory illnesses like flu new Macaco, pneumonia, RSV, and COVID
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: nineteen this fall, ask your doctor which vaccines you need
- 1:03:36Speaker 8: and visit vaxsist dot com that's vaexsist dot com to
- 1:03:40Speaker 8: schedule one or more of vaccines sponsored by Pfizer. All right,
- 1:03:45Speaker 8: come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: is he shut me down?
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: You know, listen, I noticed lady has a problem. They've
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: been married, she's sixty years old. Husband got a new
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: promotion and all of a sudden, he didn't change heatn't
- 1:03:59Speaker 6: flips DoD dressing different, you know, getting bullsh You got
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: some new friends he hanging out with, and now ain't nothing.
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: She doing good enough. They've getting ready to go to
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: the gala. One night, he said, are you you ought
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: to get another dress? Well, he probably right about the dress,
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: because you're trying to wear that dress that you wore
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: three years to go down to the VFW ball with
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: the sequence on it. And then seaquestion. Come on, but
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: now he in your hair? He said, he think you
- 1:04:26Speaker 6: need a wig because your great roots is showing. Okay,
- 1:04:33Speaker 6: now who he been looking at with weave on? See,
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: you got to ask yourself that question. Now why now
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: all of a sudden he know about weaves. Okay, so
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: now we're going good. And then he acts brand new,
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: he don't talk berz Is with you anymore. And then
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: here was the stunner for me. He talked about us
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: going to Coria. I can remember begging him go to
- 1:04:59Speaker 6: Florida on vacation with the kids for years. I think
- 1:05:02Speaker 6: he's trying to keep up with the Jones. And then
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: you and all this extra money fit in. I'm not
- 1:05:06Speaker 6: so with it that I started rebelling. I told him
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: he can go to Korea without me. Let's park this
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: letter right here.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: That is bothering you?
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: Who you know?
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Who do any of you know black people?
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:05:26Speaker 6: That then ever talked about going to coke reea fuck
- 1:05:31Speaker 6: what Fiji Islands?
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: You know, Thailand.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Over there with Russell? You know you go bang Cock,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: you know, you go to Malde.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: It's a hole.
- 1:05:48Speaker 6: You go to Philippines, a whole lot of places you
- 1:05:50Speaker 6: go what black people? It's talking about going to Korea?
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: And then you got to make sure you buy the
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: right ticket because you got North Korea and you got
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: South Korea.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Okay, nump over that fly to the wrong Korea. Okay, Okay.
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: Now you're over there with that dude with then with
- 1:06:13Speaker 6: that ball haircut and the big suits that we used
- 1:06:17Speaker 6: to wear on the Kings of comedy.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: You're over there with him, and now you can't get back,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: are you for real?
- 1:06:26Speaker 7: Right?
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: He's over there in the militarization zone that they here
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: with your camera. They don't love care over there. You
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: took your black to the wrong Corea. So now you
- 1:06:38Speaker 6: in Coreel.
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: Kim Jo.
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: Him you're up there with and now listen to this
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: hill Kim John and hearing the bad move that day.
- 1:06:50Speaker 6: You know his daughter talking about taking over to it.
- 1:06:53Speaker 6: You don't really really know her. You don't know nobody's names.
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: You're over there calling people by the wrong names. You
- 1:06:59Speaker 6: ain't got none of these titles, His Highness the Shaker.
- 1:07:06Speaker 6: You don't know what you're doing. You got the titles wrong.
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: Now you're in a Korean prison. You don't speak Korean.
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: You over there, you don't know what's to eat. You're
- 1:07:20Speaker 6: trying to figure out. I'm just telling you you got
- 1:07:24Speaker 6: to know what to eat. This just further goes to
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: show you why these black people don't need to go
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: to Korea. And you're right for fighting your husband about
- 1:07:34Speaker 6: going to Korea.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Don't go. Let him go, and he probably won't return
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: because he going over there only job with some white.
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: Folks he'd have met, and they gonna they're gonna handle
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: him different than Korea. So anyway, you just stop having
- 1:07:55Speaker 6: sex with him because he on his high horse. And
- 1:07:59Speaker 6: this good morning after church, he was talking to the pastor.
- 1:08:02Speaker 6: You went up to speak, your husband put your hand
- 1:08:05Speaker 6: in your face and shut you down.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: Lead on. He told you you don't interrupt two men
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: when they talking. I don't know. No woman i've been
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: involved with that I can do that too.
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: None.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: I just don't know.
- 1:08:25Speaker 6: So does he think he's better than me now or
- 1:08:29Speaker 6: something else going on with him? Well, there's a couple
- 1:08:31Speaker 6: of things going on. Yes, he does think he's better
- 1:08:34Speaker 6: than you now. He thinks you need to upgrade your
- 1:08:37Speaker 6: clothes because he's upgrading his. He's already told you need
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: to get a weave because you can see the gray
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: roots in your hair. I think he does think he's
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: a little bit better than you, And I think he's
- 1:08:49Speaker 6: hanging around some people that he thinks is better than you. Ye,
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: So this is the way I think you should get
- 1:08:57Speaker 6: back at him. Agree to take the trip to co
- 1:09:03Speaker 6: Reel and then don't go.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: What is that going to prove?
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: Well, then when he packed his bag, put some cannabis
- 1:09:16Speaker 6: oil in his luggage and some hemp oil and we're
- 1:09:21Speaker 6: going to run his bag through the detector in Cooreea,
- 1:09:25Speaker 6: he won't be coming back.

- 1:13:50Speaker 8: my girlfriend and I have been together for almost six years,
- 1:13:53Speaker 8: and she recently told me something that really hit me hard.
- 1:13:57Speaker 8: We were talking about how we felt distant lately, and
- 1:14:00Speaker 8: she casually says, quote, I love you, but I'm not
- 1:14:02Speaker 8: attracted to you like I used to be. When she says,
- 1:14:05Speaker 8: I'm her best friend and she doesn't want to lose me.
- 1:14:08Speaker 8: But since that conversation, everything feels weird between us. Even
- 1:14:13Speaker 8: just giving her a hug feels empty. Now, we started
- 1:14:16Speaker 8: going to therapy together to try to figure out if
- 1:14:19Speaker 8: we can make it work, and I'm trying to stay
- 1:14:21Speaker 8: positive about it, but honestly, this really hurts. I don't
- 1:14:25Speaker 8: know if I should keep trying to fix things or
- 1:14:27Speaker 8: is it over?
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Bill Wild your girlfriend? Yeah? Women, women, I'm going to
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: therapy with my.
- 1:14:37Speaker 8: Girlfriend of almost six years.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: Yeah almost a yeah six years.
- 1:14:42Speaker 8: Yeah, they've been boy sixteen years.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: I'm going to therapy with my girlfriend. I don't think so.
- 1:14:52Speaker 6: If we can't be born friend a girlfriend, yeah, how
- 1:14:56Speaker 6: we gonna be man and wife?
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: Hello?
- 1:15:00Speaker 6: You need therapy to be a boyfriend and a girlfriend.
- 1:15:04Speaker 6: Something wrong with this relationship? Y'all trying to put a
- 1:15:07Speaker 6: square peg in a circle, and that's not how it worked. Hey, dog,
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: if you're not attracted to me, that's cool. I'm gonna
- 1:15:14Speaker 6: get another girlfriend and let her get another boyfriend that
- 1:15:21Speaker 6: she is attracted to. You're not finna tell me you're
- 1:15:25Speaker 6: not attracted. See I've been scarred like that. Yeah.
- 1:15:29Speaker 8: I was gonna say what happened, and I'm not going
- 1:15:30Speaker 8: to the story, tell the story what happened to you.
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: And triggery to the.
- 1:15:39Speaker 6: Junior prom prom And she said, And she said no,
- 1:15:47Speaker 6: And I just decided to ask her why.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: I just wanted to know why, if you could do
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: something to change And she said, because I don't like
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: your facial features.
- 1:16:04Speaker 14: No, I be.

- 1:16:28Speaker 1: like this. No more.
- 1:16:29Speaker 6: You couldn't get a no y'all you get was a
- 1:16:33Speaker 6: face lift back. Then you can just get your whole
- 1:16:36Speaker 6: face pulled back behind your ears. They have your ears
- 1:16:39Speaker 6: on the back of your head somewhere.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: That's all I had. And she told me, I don't
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: like your facial features. Oh guess what I had to do.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: I had to move on and now you have to move.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: She's not attracted to you. Yeah, that's what she said.

- 1:17:06Speaker 8: did say I love you. She did say that.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Yeah. But but it don't matter. Yeah if it ain't
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: and it don't.
- 1:17:15Speaker 8: Matter at that point, you've already been.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: If if our co.
- 1:17:20Speaker 6: Host Tommy, you just go in the bathroom mirror and
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: look close and just look close and analyze and walk
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: away and say the truth.
- 1:17:34Speaker 8: But no one ever said that I'm gonna be oh.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, oh oh, somebody has said it to you.
- 1:17:42Speaker 8: No one's ever said that to him. He's never said.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: It ain't what people say, it's what people do.
- 1:17:48Speaker 6: Ask him when the last time he walked in the
- 1:17:51Speaker 6: room and a bunch of women said, god, dog, he
- 1:17:54Speaker 6: find when.

- 1:22:11Speaker 8: Which one?

- 1:22:15Speaker 8: Would you rather stay at the age physically you are forever? Okay,
- 1:22:21Speaker 8: you got it. Stay at this age physically forever, or
- 1:22:25Speaker 8: financially where.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: You are forever. That's the same age. It's about your look,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: by how you look now.
- 1:22:34Speaker 11: Would you want to say that forever or would you
- 1:22:37Speaker 11: rather just keep the money that you're making forever?
- 1:22:40Speaker 8: You want to stay how you look? Uh physically right
- 1:22:44Speaker 8: now or financially?
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: I want to keep this money so you can age.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: You're okay with you? I want to keep this money.
- 1:22:53Speaker 9: You haven't made all the money. Yeah, sure, I haven't
- 1:22:55Speaker 9: made all the money I want to make. I haven't
- 1:22:57Speaker 9: made a kid. I'm going to have to make some
- 1:22:59Speaker 9: more money.
- 1:23:02Speaker 8: So you want to be you want to age, that's fine, Okay.
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: I don't look my age now, No, you do not, Steve.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: No, I'd rather I rather uh stayed away, I look right.
- 1:23:15Speaker 8: Now, okay, because you got the money.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: So that was I'm gonna make some more money, okay,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:23:22Speaker 8: Would you rather have a lifetime supply of Reese's or

- 1:23:48Speaker 6: But yeah, yeah, if I eat a handful of candy
- 1:23:52Speaker 6: corn now, it'll make me go to sleep.
- 1:23:55Speaker 8: Yeah yeah, it's too sweet now, sugar. All right, we
- 1:24:00Speaker 8: gotta go anyway, Thank you, guys. That's today's round. Would

- 1:24:12Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:24:42Speaker 8: one fifty four hundred or Globelifradio dot com. All right, guys,
- 1:24:47Speaker 8: here we are last break of the day on this Thursday.
- 1:24:51Speaker 8: It's been a fun day and we want to say
- 1:24:53Speaker 8: thank you, as we always do, to our audience for
- 1:24:56Speaker 8: listening every single day, loyally, loyally for twenty years.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Loyalty, loyalty.
- 1:25:03Speaker 8: We appreciate that. All right, Steve, so earlier, we had
- 1:25:08Speaker 8: a phone call from a federal worker who was very
- 1:25:13Speaker 8: much affected by the government shut down. You know, this
- 1:25:15Speaker 8: is like the sting. Yeah, the second longest government shut
- 1:25:19Speaker 8: down in the history of our country. So here's what
- 1:25:23Speaker 8: she had to say. Take a listen what they had
- 1:25:26Speaker 8: step morning.
- 1:25:27Speaker 16: I was watching listening to your morning show this morning,
- 1:25:31Speaker 16: and while we're talking about the government shutdown and as
- 1:25:34Speaker 16: a sea, we're working. I'm actually a federal teacher and
- 1:25:39Speaker 16: we are not getting but we still have to fill
- 1:25:41Speaker 16: up to work. He supplements that income. What some of
- 1:25:46Speaker 16: our friends and myself has been doing, we have been
- 1:25:51Speaker 16: doing doordad and lift, but we still we're still coming
- 1:25:55Speaker 16: to work every day with smiles on our feet. But
- 1:25:58Speaker 16: late at night when we did we're doing door dash
- 1:26:01Speaker 16: and doing lift and things like that. So it's really
- 1:26:03Speaker 16: really sad that we have to come to bid.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I feel for you, I really really do.
- 1:26:10Speaker 6: I can only sympathize with you because I'm not in
- 1:26:14Speaker 6: that position that you're in, because I don't have a
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: job where you're gonna not pay me and I'm still coming.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: I don't have that type of position.
- 1:26:23Speaker 6: The moment, the moment family feud or this radio show,
- 1:26:31Speaker 6: or anybody else for that matter, tells me, Steve, we
- 1:26:34Speaker 6: don't have your money, immediately after you say that you
- 1:26:39Speaker 6: don't have me. So I can't even I can't even
- 1:26:44Speaker 6: really wrap my mind around at how unfair this is
- 1:26:48Speaker 6: to these federal workers, how unfair it is that this
- 1:26:51Speaker 6: government is shut down. The part that I don't like
- 1:26:54Speaker 6: about any of this is all politically based. None of
- 1:26:59Speaker 6: this is for the good of the people, because if
- 1:27:02Speaker 6: you listen to the Republicans, the Democrats shut the government
- 1:27:05Speaker 6: down because they needed at least twelve of the Democrats
- 1:27:09Speaker 6: to agree to keep it open and they didn't. So
- 1:27:12Speaker 6: they're blaming the Democrats. The good Democrats are blaming the
- 1:27:16Speaker 6: Republicans because they're saying in this bill and the way
- 1:27:19Speaker 6: they want to craft this thing is that it's going
- 1:27:23Speaker 6: to hurt a lot of people's health care if they
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: allow this to go down the way it's going down,
- 1:27:29Speaker 6: and they're saying, let's negotiate, well, the Republicans are saying,
- 1:27:34Speaker 6: open the government and let's negotiate, Well, all your negotiating
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: power is gone. At that point. You do know that,
- 1:27:41Speaker 6: you do know that you can't. So either way, you
- 1:27:45Speaker 6: look at this. It's the Democrat's fault and it's the
- 1:27:49Speaker 6: Republican's fault. But guess who pays for this? The people
- 1:27:55Speaker 6: the House and the Senate. They still getting they check
- 1:27:59Speaker 6: and why. And Mike Johnson has sent everybody home during
- 1:28:06Speaker 6: the shutdown. They should be at work trying to resolve
- 1:28:10Speaker 6: this thing. But you all listen to me. This is
- 1:28:15Speaker 6: a very very different political climate we're in. We're in
- 1:28:19Speaker 6: a political climate where rules don't matter anymore. Normality is
- 1:28:24Speaker 6: gone out the window, judges, orders are disrespected.
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: Nothing is the same anymore. Nothing is the same.
- 1:28:34Speaker 6: We're living in a time now where we have a
- 1:28:38Speaker 6: president that has supreme rule and command and we have
- 1:28:45Speaker 6: to grapple with that. And I mean, and it's going
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: down whether you like it or not. And they can
- 1:28:52Speaker 6: shape this anyway they want to. They can say this
- 1:28:55Speaker 6: is not what we're doing, but this is exactly what
- 1:28:58Speaker 6: we're doing. And this is exactly what's happening. And for
- 1:29:02Speaker 6: anybody to be okay with this. And the thing that
- 1:29:05Speaker 6: I'm afraid of most is is it has redefined the
- 1:29:08Speaker 6: way politics will be played in this country from now on.
- 1:29:11Speaker 6: Because Donald Trump has laid down a blueprint that has
- 1:29:15Speaker 6: worked and if you don't think the next one coming
- 1:29:18Speaker 6: along is gonna follow that exact same blueprint, you are
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: sadly mistaken. It's because politics is just replication. They look
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: before and see what work that got them where they are,
- 1:29:32Speaker 6: and that's what they're gonna do. The Republican Party is
- 1:29:36Speaker 6: forever changed, forever change, and the Democratic Party has changed also.
- 1:29:43Speaker 6: And if the Democrats don't become the same gangsters that
- 1:29:47Speaker 6: the Republicans are, they gonna get gangsted right out of business. Yeah,
- 1:29:52Speaker 6: because Democrats cannot show weakness. The only two people I
- 1:29:58Speaker 6: see three four really, these are the four people that
- 1:30:02Speaker 6: I think have a chance in the Democratic Party. Jasmin Crockett, Hakeeen,
- 1:30:09Speaker 6: Jeffries Moreland out of Baltimore, out of Maryland, Moreland, and Gavin.
- 1:30:18Speaker 8: Newsom out of California.
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: Them the only four that I see that have the
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: the the guts to stand up. Now. Is any of
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: it working? I don't know how it is.
- 1:30:37Speaker 6: Gavin Newsom seems to be the one closest to making
- 1:30:41Speaker 6: the most noise with it, but he gonna need a
- 1:30:44Speaker 6: running mate, and one of them brothers would be it.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: Yeah, were not Wes Moore. Yeah, I like Wes.
- 1:30:53Speaker 6: I like West a lot, and I like Hakeen Jefferies
- 1:30:56Speaker 6: when he speaks tough. But we need somebody tough man.
- 1:31:01Speaker 6: And because you ain't gonna beat Trump, because Trump is
- 1:31:04Speaker 6: gonna run again in twenty twenty eight, I don't know how,
- 1:31:07Speaker 6: but you don't.
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: You know their preparing to do rule.
- 1:31:10Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, there's nothing you can do about it, hey, y'all,
- 1:31:14Speaker 6: But either way, guess what, I'm gonna have a great
- 1:31:17Speaker 6: life because I serve a great God and ain't nobody
- 1:31:21Speaker 6: in charge of me but Him. So now I invite
- 1:31:24Speaker 6: y'all to do the same. Have a great day today,
- 1:31:26Speaker 6: y'all talk to God. He would absolutely love to hear
- 1:31:30Speaker 6: from you today. Y'all stay in peace.
