- 2:12Speaker 1: radio show? What God doing? Y'all? Huh? What are you doing?
- 2:16Speaker 1: What are you doing in your life? He's doing something,
- 2:18Speaker 1: He moving, he working. Don't lose your patients though, so
- 2:22Speaker 1: I did that before. Don't lose your patience. Don't don't.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Don't get so sick of waiting that you take matters
- 2:30Speaker 1: into your own hands. Don't do that. Boy, you're blowing it.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Listen to me. You're listening to somebody who's done it
- 2:38Speaker 1: that way. I had a dream, I had a vision,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I had some hope, I had some faith. I had
- 2:44Speaker 1: some aspirations, but I got a little impatient waiting on it.
- 2:49Speaker 1: So I tried a couple other things move it along.
- 2:52Speaker 1: But I can't tell you how I messed it up.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Then I messed it up. Then, because God gave me
- 2:56Speaker 1: the power of decision, what I had to do was
- 2:59Speaker 1: then after I took matters into my own hand, messed
- 3:02Speaker 1: it up. Now, guess what, He still got something from me.
- 3:06Speaker 1: But now I gotta fix all the mistakes. Now I
- 3:09Speaker 1: gotta straighten them out. I gotta I gotta suffer some consequences.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I gotta pay for my transgressions, all of that, All
- 3:16Speaker 1: of that, it's gotta go down. You can't do something
- 3:20Speaker 1: wrong and not pay for it. It's just it's you
- 3:23Speaker 1: call it, Calma, call it whatever you wanna call it.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Every action has an equal and opposite reaction every action.
- 3:32Speaker 1: If it just stays sunny all the time, you might
- 3:35Speaker 1: think it's cool, but there's gonna be a reaction to it.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Ain't no dark, ain't no shade, ain't no break, ain't
- 3:40Speaker 1: no rain. Gonna be hard if it's your sunny all
- 3:43Speaker 1: the time, vice versa. So you need you need the opposite,
- 3:49Speaker 1: You need the darkness. So you can get your break
- 3:51Speaker 1: from that sun. You need to rain so you can
- 3:54Speaker 1: nourish the roots, so so that sun can it can
- 3:57Speaker 1: soak up the sun and get the benefit of the sun.
- 4:00Speaker 1: If you don't get the opposite, you you got a problem, man.
- 4:03Speaker 1: And it happens throughout nature, it happens throughout your life.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Don't think that you can do wrong and not have
- 4:10Speaker 1: to pay for that. See somebody as we're just going
- 4:14Speaker 1: to get with that now, because that's it. You reap
- 4:18Speaker 1: what you sold. That's it. That's that's that's standard. That
- 4:23Speaker 1: that that's a rule, that's the law of nature, that's
- 4:26Speaker 1: God's law. You can't get around that. I don't care
- 4:29Speaker 1: who you are. You want to be the world's greatest
- 4:32Speaker 1: drug pin You're gonna die just like that. You read
- 4:36Speaker 1: misery on other people's lives, misery coming to your life.
- 4:40Speaker 1: You can justify it and call when I'm in a gang,
- 4:43Speaker 1: this is my hood. You call it whatever you want
- 4:45Speaker 1: to call it. With that foolishness, you file and you
- 4:48Speaker 1: out of line, and you're gonna pay for that. Do
- 4:51Speaker 1: you think this is man? We we we we think
- 4:54Speaker 1: man because we'd have made a decision that we think
- 4:56Speaker 1: is best for us, and no matter how to fect
- 4:58Speaker 1: nobody else, we got right to make that call. No
- 5:01Speaker 1: you don't, No, you don't. Whoever is telling you that,
- 5:05Speaker 1: whoever's misguiding you into the gang life, telling you, yeah, man,
- 5:09Speaker 1: you need to be this a way to be down
- 5:10Speaker 1: with us. I'll tell you what. Get yourself stuck on
- 5:13Speaker 1: chuck with that gang. See how many of them be
- 5:14Speaker 1: there for you. Oh, they'll go around the corner with
- 5:17Speaker 1: you and start shooting. But okay, when it's time to
- 5:20Speaker 1: do some time and and and they can lessen their centers,
- 5:23Speaker 1: you're gonna get that time. They're gonna point their finger
- 5:25Speaker 1: dead at you. I watched for eight hours all the time, man,
- 5:28Speaker 1: I watched a lock up row all the time, all
- 5:31Speaker 1: the time, man, all the time. Ain't no real cold
- 5:34Speaker 1: dudes out there, just holding to the mantre and sticking
- 5:37Speaker 1: to it. Even the mob turns stateside, evidence go fed
- 5:41Speaker 1: all that. Now we are in the other hood. We
- 5:44Speaker 1: didn't created this ignorant mess called no snitching. With that
- 5:47Speaker 1: ignorant mess, you don't even understand. No snitching was created
- 5:50Speaker 1: by criminals as a code of honor. If you do
- 5:53Speaker 1: dirt and you get busted doing the dirt. Don't bring
- 5:56Speaker 1: my name up if I was with you. That's a
- 5:58Speaker 1: code of honor amongst the thieves. Had so many code
- 6:01Speaker 1: of honor thieves that then came out of prison. They
- 6:03Speaker 1: ain't got no honor. They then bought that stuff back
- 6:05Speaker 1: to the street. Now that's all in the neighborhood. No snitching.
- 6:08Speaker 1: No snitching, you gotta be crazy. That's for people who
- 6:11Speaker 1: disobey the law. That's who people have made a code
- 6:15Speaker 1: of honor amongst themselves as thieves. Hey, man, if you
- 6:17Speaker 1: get busted, don't drag me down. What you just do
- 6:19Speaker 1: your time? Oh man, you can't bring that stuff out
- 6:22Speaker 1: here to me. I'm a law biding citizen. Dog. I'm
- 6:26Speaker 1: trying to live right over here. Man. I don't want
- 6:28Speaker 1: to crack house up street from my mama's house. I'm
- 6:31Speaker 1: trying to do right out here. Man. You can't do
- 6:33Speaker 1: wrong and expect wrong not to come to you. You
- 6:36Speaker 1: gotta make a decision every day to do right. Ask God.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I was watching this thing on TV. This gang down
- 6:42Speaker 1: in Miami. They say a prab before they go out
- 6:45Speaker 1: and do a hit. What what? What? You're crazy? Who
- 6:50Speaker 1: who have you? Let tell you? This hottest work, got
- 6:54Speaker 1: something ritual they go through. Man like God going honor
- 6:56Speaker 1: them and protect them on on some dirt. God ain't
- 6:59Speaker 1: got no protection you on dirt. You got what you
- 7:02Speaker 1: got coming. You made a decision. You go down there
- 7:06Speaker 1: to get something you you might got get got See,
- 7:10Speaker 1: we got to come on. I'm talking to so many
- 7:13Speaker 1: men out here right now. I should have said that
- 7:15Speaker 1: didn't men getting but a conversation and kind of got
- 7:17Speaker 1: away from me. I was gonna talk to you about
- 7:19Speaker 1: something else this morning. But that's just only man. Because
- 7:21Speaker 1: our communities. Man, it's just going to the pot man,
- 7:24Speaker 1: cause it ain't nobody can about nobody else. Don't nobody
- 7:29Speaker 1: care when they see that young dude over there doing wrong?
- 7:31Speaker 1: Look at them foods over that man, Go over there
- 7:33Speaker 1: and talk to one of them. Put them to the side. Man,
- 7:37Speaker 1: you might not be able to approach the group, but
- 7:38Speaker 1: you can approach an individual. Come in, young man, Let
- 7:42Speaker 1: me talk to you. I saw you the other day. Man.
- 7:43Speaker 1: You look like you got something going on in your life.
- 7:45Speaker 1: What's happening with you? Let me talk to you, man,
- 7:47Speaker 1: Let me share something I learned. I was doing what
- 7:50Speaker 1: you was doing. You know, it's like timey did a
- 7:52Speaker 1: prank phone call one time as a limo driver, and
- 7:57Speaker 1: the dude the prank was he called this limo company
- 8:00Speaker 1: to ask this limo driver to take him to this
- 8:04Speaker 1: location late at night, and the limo driver got a
- 8:07Speaker 1: young business he going, yeah, okay, I got you. I
- 8:09Speaker 1: don't normally work like that. But how long you need it?
- 8:12Speaker 1: He said for just about an hour. He said, well,
- 8:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to charge you for the full three though,
- 8:16Speaker 1: because a three hour minimum. Tommy told him, now, I
- 8:19Speaker 1: just needed for one hours. He said, okay, I'll give
- 8:21Speaker 1: you a break, young man. You're trying to do. So
- 8:23Speaker 1: where you want to go? He gave the address. The
- 8:25Speaker 1: man stopped writing. He said, that's a bank. He said, yeah.
- 8:30Speaker 1: He said, you want to go to the bank at
- 8:32Speaker 1: twelve thirty at night. He said yeah, and I'm gonna
- 8:35Speaker 1: being for a few minutes, and when I come out
- 8:37Speaker 1: that bank, I need for you to flow it that
- 8:41Speaker 1: to do with the limo. He stopped writing. He said,
- 8:43Speaker 1: hold hold on, hold on, man, you want me to
- 8:47Speaker 1: take you to a bank twelve thirty at night. You're
- 8:50Speaker 1: gonna be in there for a few minutes and you're
- 8:52Speaker 1: gonna come out and you want me to float it.
- 8:56Speaker 1: He said, sir, I don't do stuff like that. He said,
- 8:58Speaker 1: you got the wrong company. He said, what may you
- 9:00Speaker 1: call here? He said, hey, man, don't worry about that.
- 9:02Speaker 1: You're limo come to you just dry. He stopped and
- 9:05Speaker 1: took the time out. He said, young man, let me
- 9:07Speaker 1: tell you something. He said, I've been down before, I've
- 9:11Speaker 1: been locked up before. It ain't pretty. He said, that's
- 9:14Speaker 1: what's wrong with you young people today. Instead of going
- 9:17Speaker 1: to get a job, trying to work your way, you're
- 9:18Speaker 1: always looking for some fast money. He's I'm gonna tell
- 9:21Speaker 1: you what I already know. Don't go down they're messing
- 9:23Speaker 1: with them people's money like that because they love that
- 9:25Speaker 1: money where more than they love you, and they're gonna
- 9:27Speaker 1: do something to you down now. Now, you stop this foolishness.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And I'm not caring you nowhere, but I'm gonna take
- 9:33Speaker 1: a little bit of time out to tell you something.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Don't go down here with messing with these people's money,
- 9:39Speaker 1: because it ain't gonna go good. They're gonna take care
- 9:41Speaker 1: of their business where they come to that money. Tommy
- 9:43Speaker 1: kept insisting to this man to pick him up in
- 9:45Speaker 1: the limit. It was a playing phone call. But the
- 9:47Speaker 1: point I'm making is the man took out time. He
- 9:50Speaker 1: could just hung the phone up. But you know what
- 9:52Speaker 1: he's said, he's a hold up, young man. Let me
- 9:54Speaker 1: hip you to something. Because the brother had been locked
- 9:57Speaker 1: up before. He said, no, no, no, I see I've
- 9:59Speaker 1: done that when I was. Now I'm gonna stop and
- 10:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna take some moment out to tell you. I'm
- 10:02Speaker 1: gonna here, working man trying to earn an honest living.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I ain't going back down there because I don't. I don't.
- 10:08Speaker 1: They make you eat what they want you to eat.
- 10:09Speaker 1: You don't want the food. You gotta get up when
- 10:11Speaker 1: they say get up. You gotta stay where they say stay,
- 10:13Speaker 1: live with who they say live. He said, man, you
- 10:15Speaker 1: don't want that, and he just tried to talk to
- 10:18Speaker 1: young man out of it. You can change a young
- 10:20Speaker 1: man's mind with a conversation. A conversation can change a
- 10:24Speaker 1: young man's man. Most of these young men that are
- 10:27Speaker 1: misguided ain't having conversations with real men. They're just not
- 10:31Speaker 1: having them. And it's up to us, who know what
- 10:33Speaker 1: man who it is is, to start delivering the message
- 10:36Speaker 1: the problem that we have in our communities. We could
- 10:39Speaker 1: solve ourselves. It's in escalated to a point because we
- 10:42Speaker 1: who are men won't stop on our corporate climb and
- 10:45Speaker 1: our day to day making money and trying to bawl out.
- 10:49Speaker 1: We won't stop and grab some of these young soldiers
- 10:51Speaker 1: and tell them the truth about manhood. That's the real deal. Okay,
- 10:55Speaker 1: So I went there. I don't know where they came from.
- 10:57Speaker 1: You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, may have your undivided attention, please. Yeah,
- 11:08Speaker 1: this is my special request. What's about to go down
- 11:13Speaker 1: in some parts of the world will be considered illegal,
- 11:19Speaker 1: if legal. So here it is. Let's begin. Shirley Strawberry
- 11:26Speaker 1: has Steve callin for Rell. Good morning crew, Junior Morning
- 11:33Speaker 1: duck Javin by what's going on? King of PRIs top
- 11:41Speaker 1: of the moaning of the Steve ladies brothers. What's happening? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 11:46Speaker 1: everything good to get ignorant. I was thinking about how
- 11:52Speaker 1: to start it off. Okay, here going one? Who ready
- 11:58Speaker 1: for the yes? Yes that I know that will win.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I got one. I got one paper. Since we're getting in,
- 12:14Speaker 1: you want to hear that it needed to get it
- 12:19Speaker 1: Come on o. J okay, okay, okay, okay, okay in
- 12:47Speaker 1: the back seat. If you don't that that's the same
- 12:51Speaker 1: sound junior head when he passed your ass and that
- 12:53Speaker 1: fart shut he I'm going to man, when I got one,
- 13:06Speaker 1: got one, be shooting everybody, shoot something else in that
- 13:12Speaker 1: back seat. Get your shot, pie one more time. Let's say, Tommy,
- 13:25Speaker 1: that's what I'm trying to put up. My fun didn't
- 13:33Speaker 1: do me after the sound effect. I don't believe you
- 13:39Speaker 1: don't lost my damn. Oh man, it was so deflated
- 13:52Speaker 1: after that race were on camera though, Oh my god.
- 13:56Speaker 1: When I tried to tell y'all about yourself, y'all denied it. Yeah,
- 14:00Speaker 1: yes we did. And you don't have any proof in
- 14:02Speaker 1: that moment. Oh I had. We didn't know that. This
- 14:10Speaker 1: is a small example of ignorance on the radio. Please
- 14:13Speaker 1: if you call it here to find out what happen.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Mostly and then I didn't watch it. Oh it's a
- 14:20Speaker 1: lot unbelievable. Oh yeah, well, Steve, another crazy ignorant day
- 14:30Speaker 1: at the White House yesterday and the president, the President
- 14:35Speaker 1: went on another crazy ignorant tweeter tam Trump. Okay, and
- 14:39Speaker 1: we'll talk about it when we come back at thirty
- 14:41Speaker 1: two after the hour. You're listening to the Steve Show. Well, Steve,
- 14:47Speaker 1: another day, another something wild at the White House, but
- 14:51Speaker 1: this time it could literally be striking the Trump administration
- 14:54Speaker 1: at its very core, more like a stabbing in the back.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I would call it as his own team, the President's
- 15:02Speaker 1: own team, Steve. That's because someone is said to be
- 15:06Speaker 1: a who said to be a senior White House official
- 15:08Speaker 1: is speaking out against President Trump in an anonymous up
- 15:12Speaker 1: ed published in The New York Times, and the newspaper
- 15:15Speaker 1: says they've confirmed it, but are granting the person and anonymity.
- 15:20Speaker 1: As the Times puts it, quote, we believe publishing this
- 15:23Speaker 1: essay anonymously is the only way to deliver an important
- 15:27Speaker 1: perspective to our readers. The writer wants people to know
- 15:30Speaker 1: that they understand the frustration of many. It could be
- 15:33Speaker 1: cold comfort in this chaotic era, but Americans should know
- 15:37Speaker 1: that there are adults in the room, says the writer.
- 15:40Speaker 1: We fully recognize what is happening, and we are trying
- 15:44Speaker 1: to do what's right, even when Donald Trump won't. President
- 15:48Speaker 1: Trump is calling. Now he's mad when I tell you
- 15:50Speaker 1: he's fired, Oh, he's He's calling for the head of
- 15:55Speaker 1: the anonymous author who wrote who wrote this uh up
- 15:59Speaker 1: ed piece about the administration He's calling for his head
- 16:02Speaker 1: or her head. Soon after its release, um Trump tweeted,
- 16:06Speaker 1: calling the author gutless and insisted that the Times must
- 16:10Speaker 1: for national security purposes. I love this. Turn him or
- 16:13Speaker 1: her over to the government. At what you're gonna have
- 16:21Speaker 1: to turn over? Benion asking people to turn stuff over? Well,
- 16:29Speaker 1: you know who they think it is, Steve who they
- 16:31Speaker 1: think the VP? That would be really good because they're there.
- 16:41Speaker 1: They were talking about invoking the twenty fifth Amendment, which
- 16:44Speaker 1: says that, um, if the president seems unfit or whatever,
- 16:48Speaker 1: then the vice president. Yeah, well the vice president could
- 16:51Speaker 1: step in and take over. So I didn't even know
- 16:54Speaker 1: that was an amendment. Yeah, I just knew it right
- 16:57Speaker 1: after I heard him talking. Yeah. And and see in
- 17:00Speaker 1: the op ed, this is a clue. The word loadstar
- 17:03Speaker 1: was used, and it's one that Pence uses regularly, so
- 17:07Speaker 1: that could be a clue. It could be Mike Pence,
- 17:09Speaker 1: but he, along with John Kelly and and and uh
- 17:13Speaker 1: Ben Ben Carson and a bunch of people have denied
- 17:17Speaker 1: writing it. So I think I know who wrote it,
- 17:20Speaker 1: the same people who was telling him Obama wasn't born
- 17:23Speaker 1: in this country. Invisible people. You know. It's just a really,
- 17:33Speaker 1: really strange narrative that we're having to hear from this administration.
- 17:37Speaker 1: It's never been like this before in the history of anything.
- 17:41Speaker 1: No one has any recollection of this type of chaos
- 17:44Speaker 1: coming from the White House. But he brought it on himself.
- 17:48Speaker 1: What he doesn't have is any governing qualities at all.
- 17:53Speaker 1: The problem he has is that he has to govern
- 17:56Speaker 1: people who are the people, who are the masses that
- 17:59Speaker 1: make up the country. He's never been a part of
- 18:02Speaker 1: the masses. He's never had a job, he's never ever
- 18:08Speaker 1: financially struggle, and he's been protected his entire life. First
- 18:13Speaker 1: he was protected by his wealth and his father, then
- 18:16Speaker 1: he was protected by his fame as a star, and
- 18:20Speaker 1: now he's protected by the Office of the Presidency. If
- 18:23Speaker 1: he was anybody else saying any of this stuff, he'd
- 18:26Speaker 1: be out of work. Man. They called him a moral
- 18:29Speaker 1: sty in the memo. Can't sleep here right now? Yeah, right? Ian,
- 18:37Speaker 1: he maters hell. He he's sonset man, you know he does.
- 18:43Speaker 1: He's sons He the color sunset, you know, he got
- 18:47Speaker 1: that fiery red going with that touch of orange, and
- 18:51Speaker 1: it's just he's sonset. Man and everybody, everybody he sees.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Before they leave the room, he says, I know it
- 18:58Speaker 1: was you. It was you, everybody, foreign ministers coming up.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I think it won't Sarah Huckaby. I thought of her.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I thought, yeah, saying if you watch her closely, it
- 19:14Speaker 1: ain't much alone. You keep saying that's coming undone. So
- 19:18Speaker 1: I've been writing about this ship resigned Sarah look older,
- 19:25Speaker 1: hey man, because it's wearing her down. Last. So, Steve,
- 19:28Speaker 1: here's a question for you. If one of us on
- 19:32Speaker 1: your on your team broke one of these up eds
- 19:35Speaker 1: for a newspaper about you, who would you think it was?
- 19:43Speaker 1: You didn't have time to think about it. Junior, Tommy
- 19:49Speaker 1: Ink and Jake cain't write now to get somebody who's
- 19:55Speaker 1: got some intelligence but two degrees and always trying to
- 19:59Speaker 1: hold order, caller cher cuffs. First, let me tell you
- 20:05Speaker 1: about this blanket. Yeah, surely ain't gonna do no such
- 20:09Speaker 1: a thing. She just said, you all are hurting my feelings.
- 20:13Speaker 1: It would have to be Monica over that slide and
- 20:17Speaker 1: hear his ass. Hey about to see the article in
- 20:22Speaker 1: the New York Time. It got you in it. Yeah,
- 20:28Speaker 1: but then the key words and that and let you
- 20:30Speaker 1: know where's hurt. Well, it wouldn't be me. I ain't
- 20:33Speaker 1: got no place else to go, so you ain't got
- 20:35Speaker 1: to worry about me. Damn. The last stop, just the
- 20:39Speaker 1: last stop, just the end of the line. There's the
- 20:43Speaker 1: key words that you know it's Monica having multiple degrees.

- 40:03Speaker 1: He stands on the bowl a little bit. Do you
- 40:12Speaker 1: know what a little whoa? Yes, you're so talented. Stay
- 40:22Speaker 1: double Dutch bus for me because us what you sounded like?
- 40:28Speaker 1: All right? Coming up next at thirty four, after the
- 40:31Speaker 1: Hour of the Colin Kaepernick, Nike adds Steve that aired
- 40:34Speaker 1: last night during the NFL season opener. We'll talk about
- 40:37Speaker 1: it at thirty four after the hour right after this
- 40:40Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, last night,
- 40:44Speaker 1: the heavy rain delayed the Atlanta Falcons versus Philly Eagles
- 40:48Speaker 1: NFL season opener. Excuse me, world champ Philly Eagles NFL
- 40:52Speaker 1: season opener. Yes, shout out to Philly's own boys. Two men.
- 40:57Speaker 1: They sang and harmonize the national anthem. They were great. Yeah,
- 41:01Speaker 1: they really were. Nike premiered their Colin Kaepernick Nike thirty
- 41:06Speaker 1: anniversary Just doing it. Man. The voice and the face
- 41:12Speaker 1: of the ad is none other than former San Francisco
- 41:15Speaker 1: forty Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The ad featured professional athletes
- 41:19Speaker 1: like Serena Williams, Lebron James, and more. Following the announcement
- 41:24Speaker 1: that Nike was using Kaepernick, numerous groups called for a
- 41:27Speaker 1: boycott of a company, including videos being posted on social
- 41:30Speaker 1: media of people burning their own Nike products and anger. Uh, Steve,
- 41:36Speaker 1: I know you saw it. What do you think? Here's
- 41:38Speaker 1: the deal. I just want to talk about the protest.
- 41:41Speaker 1: I think that Nike is absolutely what a brilliant marketing
- 41:45Speaker 1: idea also just to share something with you just in
- 41:52Speaker 1: views alone. Uh the way Nike set it up on
- 41:56Speaker 1: social media. Uh, Nike's may aid, I was told by
- 42:01Speaker 1: a goddess in that line of work that Mike Nike
- 42:04Speaker 1: made in one day forty three million dollars. So, now
- 42:09Speaker 1: here's the deal. The protesters who are setting their Nike
- 42:13Speaker 1: shoes on fire. I watched this one kid put his
- 42:17Speaker 1: three pair of Nike shoes in a wooden pit, open
- 42:20Speaker 1: pit and set it on fire. You're you're you're wasting
- 42:24Speaker 1: your money. You're burning your clothes and shoes for the
- 42:28Speaker 1: wrong reason. You have allowed this president to take what
- 42:33Speaker 1: this young man did, his protests had nothing to do
- 42:37Speaker 1: with the flag, nothing to do with the military. It
- 42:45Speaker 1: was to draw attention of the social injustice, physical injustice
- 42:50Speaker 1: that African American man suffer at the hands of police brutality.
- 42:57Speaker 1: That's it. That's what it was for. So those of
- 43:00Speaker 1: you that are setting your shoes on fire, you're setting
- 43:04Speaker 1: your shoes on fire for the wrong reason. See, just
- 43:10Speaker 1: if you keep saying enough times that something ain't true,
- 43:14Speaker 1: that don't ever stop it from being true. You can
- 43:18Speaker 1: say it as many times as you like. We know
- 43:21Speaker 1: the facts that our president used this as a way
- 43:27Speaker 1: to get to his base, to get some more cheering,
- 43:31Speaker 1: and it's just ridiculous. It's it's so sad. This is
- 43:35Speaker 1: so sad with they've done. It's so sad. It sends
- 43:38Speaker 1: the wrong message. Then he said, I don't know if
- 43:41Speaker 1: y'all heard him say this. You know, freedom of speech
- 43:44Speaker 1: is very important, freedom of protest is important. But they're
- 43:48Speaker 1: sending the wrong message. No, you you actually you're sending
- 43:57Speaker 1: the wrong message. You took a message, twisted it, turning
- 44:02Speaker 1: into something that you could use as a rob rossis
- 44:05Speaker 1: boom Bob two And that's what you did. Everybody knows it,
- 44:09Speaker 1: including Nike. Now you're in your base. Can hate the
- 44:14Speaker 1: guy all you want. He's absolutely correct. He's absolutely correct. See,
- 44:20Speaker 1: freedom of speech is only good to this president when
- 44:24Speaker 1: it is him doing it exactly. Yeah, do you know
- 44:29Speaker 1: if I use the term retarded on this radio show?
- 44:32Speaker 1: Do you know what would happen the flat that I
- 44:36Speaker 1: would be under he's president of United States? He says
- 44:39Speaker 1: that nothing happens to me. He can spread dissension. But
- 44:44Speaker 1: you know, it just goes back to so many basic
- 44:46Speaker 1: things because he's not a servant of people. And he's
- 44:50Speaker 1: never been any of the people. He's not a servant
- 44:53Speaker 1: of people on any capacity he does it. He only
- 44:58Speaker 1: serves other rich people if he thinks he can benefit too.
- 45:02Speaker 1: He's just that guy. I'm sorry, man, we just have
- 45:05Speaker 1: a guy in there that's never going to come around
- 45:08Speaker 1: in terms of treating people family. So we go on
- 45:11Speaker 1: and let him set the shoes on fire. Just have
- 45:14Speaker 1: them on when you do it, though, how about that?
- 45:16Speaker 1: I thought it was brilliant of Nike to get Colin
- 45:19Speaker 1: Kaepernick to be the face of that ad. Brilliant. Just
- 45:22Speaker 1: do it, Nike. Yeah, absolutely, all right, coming here, that's
- 45:28Speaker 1: right coming up next, it's the nephew with the prank
- 45:31Speaker 1: phone call for today. Right after this, you're listening to
- 45:35Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top of
- 45:38Speaker 1: the hour. Right about four minutes after it is today's
- 45:41Speaker 1: strawberry letter, the subject my marriage is stable but stale.
- 45:46Speaker 1: But right now, yeah, right now, it is the nephew
- 45:48Speaker 1: here with today's prank phone call. But you got King
- 45:51Speaker 1: of friends, you stole them? TVs. H you stole them TVs.
- 45:56Speaker 1: If you tell about Uncle Jr. Yeah, do you have
- 46:00Speaker 1: an uncle? You stole them? TVs is Hello, Hello, how
- 46:08Speaker 1: are you? I'm trying to reach a Sharon Police. My
- 46:13Speaker 1: name is Paul Paul because I'm head of security here.
- 46:16Speaker 1: How are you? This is yeah? You, Um, you actually
- 46:21Speaker 1: came out and you I think you were here on Friday. Uh,
- 46:25Speaker 1: and you came out and purchased four flat treen televisions
- 46:29Speaker 1: forty forty two inches? Am I correct? Yeah? But what'd
- 46:34Speaker 1: com be fun? Right? Well, Um, what I was giving
- 46:37Speaker 1: you a call for sharing is that we got a
- 46:38Speaker 1: bit of a problem now when you purchased these actual
- 46:42Speaker 1: flat treen televisions on on Friday, so to speak, it
- 46:46Speaker 1: seems that we've got them. Um, well, your your purchase
- 46:51Speaker 1: went through successfully, I will admit that, but there should
- 46:54Speaker 1: have been a red flag that have gone up because
- 46:57Speaker 1: we're we're we're going back over trans actions of the
- 47:01Speaker 1: past two three days here and we're realizing that your
- 47:05Speaker 1: your purchase should not have been successful. It should have
- 47:08Speaker 1: been for your credit card is actually not valid at all. No, no,
- 47:13Speaker 1: now my credit card because we got paid on Wednesday,
- 47:16Speaker 1: so my money was there. Well, actually, ma'am, what I'm
- 47:21Speaker 1: what I'm trying to explain to you is that it
- 47:23Speaker 1: is coming up in valid now and we're having a
- 47:27Speaker 1: problem with it. So I wanted to reach out to
- 47:29Speaker 1: you and give you a call and see if we
- 47:31Speaker 1: could probably you know, uh, it was. It was valid
- 47:34Speaker 1: when I was at their ratist because it went through
- 47:36Speaker 1: I gotta receive everything I imployed to that extended warranty
- 47:40Speaker 1: on Alpha UM, so it was valid on Friday. I
- 47:43Speaker 1: don't know what's wrong with it today, but it was
- 47:45Speaker 1: good then, and I understand that. I understand that that,
- 47:48Speaker 1: you know, just being at the register and you purchasing
- 47:51Speaker 1: and and no problems at all happening. That's pretty much
- 47:53Speaker 1: the thought process that you're gonna have. What I'm letting
- 47:55Speaker 1: you know is on the on the back part of
- 47:57Speaker 1: it when you came into the store. What we're getting
- 48:00Speaker 1: the day the day after is that it was pretty
- 48:04Speaker 1: much invalid. It wasn't good at all. Your credit card
- 48:07Speaker 1: was not good at all. But you need to call
- 48:09Speaker 1: your bank then, because I don't know what to tell you.
- 48:12Speaker 1: You know, I had the money in there the day
- 48:15Speaker 1: I went about them, and that's it for me, So
- 48:18Speaker 1: I don't know who you need to call. But don't
- 48:19Speaker 1: call me because you know that ain't been in my problem. Okay,
- 48:23Speaker 1: you know what, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna raise
- 48:25Speaker 1: this to be a major problem. You know, We're gonna
- 48:27Speaker 1: try to rectify it and get it taken care of. Yeah,
- 48:30Speaker 1: do what you need to do. Okay, listen, Now here's
- 48:33Speaker 1: what we're gonna do. You know what. I wanted to
- 48:35Speaker 1: try to work this out as smoothly as we can. Well,
- 48:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to ask you to do so we
- 48:40Speaker 1: can talk this thing out. Can I get you to
- 48:42Speaker 1: come back up to the store and bring all four
- 48:45Speaker 1: televisions with you? Know? Now you sure can't. Baby, Look,
- 48:50Speaker 1: I bought them for TVs. I have read one of
- 48:52Speaker 1: them up this under the tree from my hus my
- 48:54Speaker 1: mama early. She already got the other TV we hunted
- 48:58Speaker 1: up for home, say when we was watching movie, so
- 49:00Speaker 1: it didn't really ain't no way we're gonna bring the
- 49:02Speaker 1: folk TVs back. I think you should go back to Wealth,
- 49:05Speaker 1: process your credit cards and tell them that they that
- 49:08Speaker 1: I don't know what you're gonna tell them, but you
- 49:10Speaker 1: need to go back to them. I ain't got time
- 49:12Speaker 1: to be running back and forth to this story. I
- 49:14Speaker 1: don't want to. I don't want us to create a
- 49:16Speaker 1: problem here. I don't want to do that. You need
- 49:19Speaker 1: to lower your voice. Okay, but you need to go
- 49:23Speaker 1: back to wherever do your credit cards because they went
- 49:25Speaker 1: through when I was at the stop. Correct. I don't
- 49:28Speaker 1: want to that's a no. I told you that it
- 49:32Speaker 1: went through. Explain you ain't got no business on my
- 49:35Speaker 1: damn phone. They don't call me with this bull no
- 49:37Speaker 1: mouth hold one. I don't want to get this rectified.
- 49:40Speaker 1: And what I don't want to have to do. I
- 49:42Speaker 1: don't want to have to come out to your home
- 49:45Speaker 1: and confensate you. I wish you would come after my
- 49:49Speaker 1: Maybe we will beat you into bad health. You're bad.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Not bring your over here. Look, you need to call

- 55:18Speaker 1: Subject my marriage is stable but stale. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 55:23Speaker 1: I have a testimony and I need some solid advice.
- 55:26Speaker 1: In the past, my husband was a scam artist and
- 55:29Speaker 1: I am an ex stripper and call girl. We both
- 55:32Speaker 1: got caught up and ended up doing time, and our
- 55:35Speaker 1: family took care of our children. I got I got
- 55:38Speaker 1: released from prison first, and I started to rebuild our lives.
- 55:42Speaker 1: When he got out, I put him through school. After that,
- 55:45Speaker 1: I continued my education and now we make decent money
- 55:49Speaker 1: and have a stable home life. My husband used to
- 55:52Speaker 1: be a natural hustler, but now he does not share
- 55:55Speaker 1: my desire to work hard and earn more money. Besides that,
- 55:58Speaker 1: he has gained one hundred pounds and has turned into
- 56:02Speaker 1: a couch potato. I am stuck being the dreamer, the planner,
- 56:06Speaker 1: the motivator, and the brains. But my problem gets deeper.
- 56:10Speaker 1: The worst part is our sex life. In the past,
- 56:13Speaker 1: I was used to getting gratification from multiple men, and
- 56:16Speaker 1: now I'm not getting my itch properly scratched. I could
- 56:19Speaker 1: step out and get great sex from other men, but
- 56:22Speaker 1: I have a conscience. I don't want to keep on
- 56:25Speaker 1: being miserable in this marriage with mediocre income and sex.
- 56:29Speaker 1: I have talked to my husband about the sex and
- 56:31Speaker 1: he apologized for not being able to satisfy me, and
- 56:34Speaker 1: that was it. So what am I supposed to do?
- 56:37Speaker 1: Do I leave and start over, taking the kids away
- 56:40Speaker 1: from their stable home with their father, or should I
- 56:42Speaker 1: go ahead and cheat on my husband and stay in
- 56:45Speaker 1: this stale marriage. I know I can, I can tell
- 56:52Speaker 1: your torn I think you know. But oh good and
- 56:58Speaker 1: and I can't wait to hear yours. Thank you? Uh
- 57:05Speaker 1: oh oh oh it sounds like you want to talk
- 57:08Speaker 1: to her. Okay, here we go. These are questions really
- 57:10Speaker 1: only you can answer. I mean, seriously, you've been in
- 57:13Speaker 1: this marriage for a while. Uh, you guys have a
- 57:17Speaker 1: sorted pass scam artists, uh, stripper call girl all that.
- 57:22Speaker 1: But um, you know you did you paid your dues,
- 57:24Speaker 1: you did your time, and now, like you say, you're
- 57:26Speaker 1: rebuilding your lives, which is a good thing. Everyone deserves
- 57:30Speaker 1: a second chance. Now you put your husband through school,
- 57:33Speaker 1: so he has an education. There's no excuse for him
- 57:35Speaker 1: not working. Um, and then you continue do yours. You
- 57:39Speaker 1: make decent money. Now you have a stable home life.
- 57:42Speaker 1: But your your your husband sounds like he's just not happy,
- 57:45Speaker 1: this natural hustler in him. Uh, he's not happy. So
- 57:49Speaker 1: he gained a hundred pounds, he's turned into a couch potato,
- 57:52Speaker 1: and now the sex is horrible. You're saying again, these
- 57:55Speaker 1: are questions only you can answer. Should you leave him?
- 57:57Speaker 1: The question to you is what do you want? I mean, really,
- 58:00Speaker 1: what do you want? You can have what you want,
- 58:02Speaker 1: but you can't change anyone but yourself in this situation.
- 58:07Speaker 1: If you want to stay there, you gotta deal with
- 58:10Speaker 1: trying to get your husband out of this funk, or
- 58:13Speaker 1: helping him get back on the right track. If he's
- 58:15Speaker 1: gained a hundred pounds, you know, start meal planning, helping
- 58:18Speaker 1: him do things like that, work out things like that,
- 58:21Speaker 1: find out what's going on with him, go to the
- 58:23Speaker 1: doctor why the weight gang, talk to him about it.
- 58:26Speaker 1: When you did talk to him about it, you said
- 58:28Speaker 1: he just answered you or apologize and nothing happened. I say,
- 58:31Speaker 1: that's if you want to stay with him, if you
- 58:33Speaker 1: love him and all that. But if not, if you
- 58:35Speaker 1: want to walk, you know, that's what you're gonna have
- 58:37Speaker 1: to do, because it doesn't sound like he's interested in
- 58:39Speaker 1: the marriage. Only you can make this, make this change.
- 58:42Speaker 1: If you feel like your marriage is worth fighting for
- 58:45Speaker 1: and you'll have something after you fight, then you stay.
- 58:48Speaker 1: If not, you're gonna have to walk. Steve, I don't
- 58:51Speaker 1: really want to answer now my whole answer. I want
- 58:58Speaker 1: to take a whole another approach. A matter of fact,
- 59:01Speaker 1: let me just say, Shirley gave you the best advice
- 59:04Speaker 1: you can get. Now, let me just do what I want.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Just do it. You don't need permission. I have a testimony.
- 59:13Speaker 1: Testimonies are normally giving in church. You bypassed the church
- 59:18Speaker 1: part because y'all probably don't know where the church at
- 59:23Speaker 1: the past. Well, in the past, my husband was a
- 59:28Speaker 1: scam artist. I'm an extrapper and a call girl. We
- 59:36Speaker 1: both got caught off and he ended up doing time,
- 59:39Speaker 1: and our family took care of our kids. I got
- 59:41Speaker 1: released from prison, first started to rebuild our lives. When
- 59:45Speaker 1: he got out, I put him through school. After that,
- 59:47Speaker 1: I continue my education, and now we make decent money
- 59:50Speaker 1: and have a stable home. Like that's good. People are
- 59:54Speaker 1: allowed to make mistakes in the congratulations. My husband used
- 59:58Speaker 1: to be a natural hustler, and now he does not
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: share my desire to work hard and eary more money.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Besides that, he has gained one hundred pounds and turned
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: into a couch potable. All right, let's start hire. The
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: reason he didn't gain this hunted pounds, it is because
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: he stopped scam. That's all it is. He was fitting
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: his hands, was getting round the run. He was on
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: his feet, and it's hard to gain weight when you
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: scared because you don't squal as much food when you're scared.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Scam and asked, was on edge all day. He was
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: just like a little crackhead, just nervous, slim in shape,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: fast talking, went to prison. He don't want to go
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: back to prison. So now you know, stay his ass
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: on that couch and picked up a hunted Now, Shirley said,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: get on the meal. Playing A hundred is too five?
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: You know what you know? Here, damn couch potato. He's
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: a potato couch. He's a sack of potatoes. He's a
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: whole bunch of potatoes. He's one fat ass break potato
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: because he done. He's sitting on that couch with that
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: dry ass life. He don't know what to do. Hell yeah,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: I used to be married to a strip of and
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: a call girl, and I was a stone cold hustle.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: You know, set up here, took a stupid ass to school,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: mess around, got a damn education. How we think we
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: some damn suburban people. I don't want this. Where are
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: my scams at the weighing? More fun that we didn't
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: hear punching clocks going to work? Man, I'm eating picked
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: up a hunted Oh man, Now this lady say she's
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: stuck being the dream of the plan of the motivator
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: and the brain you left out you to cook and
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: you personal shop, all right? Hold it right there, Steve,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: hold it right there. Well that part two of your
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: response with twenty three after the hour right after this
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: you're listening to show, all right, Steve, Come on, let's
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: recap today's strawberry letter, the subject my marriage is stable
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: but stale. Yes, stale, because ain't nothing happening no more?
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: Because according to him, the way he acted, he had
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: a good life. He just messed up and got caught,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: but that prison knocked his ass down a little bit.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: He ain't trying to go back in there, so the
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: play is safe. Can't scam from this couch right here?
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Come out here listening to the universe where I went
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: to school. I should have been out scamming. I'm in
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: nice school trying to get it. Damn g the hell
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I need that. I don't want the top scam artists
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: in the country. Now I'm just sitting there being with
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: my fat Ain't all I do is eat baked potatoes.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Now you wanna call me a couch pretender potato chips. No,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: I'm not really trying to help him. But my problem
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: gets deeper. The worst part is our sex life. In
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: the past, I was used to getting gratification from multiple
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: men Damn, that sounds nasty. But okay though, and now
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: I'm not getting my itch properly scratch. Try not to
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: call it edge because you need multiple men, and you started,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: and that ain't necessarily start off. I know if I
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: ever been with a lot of women and I started,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: and I would go down to the clinic because sometimes
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: you ain't got to get your itch scratch. You got
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: to get your itch taking care of. It's some damn pendicella.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: You better hope it's just an itch because they got
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: something now ain't no pendicella fall So no, I'm doing you.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: I didn't want to do this letter. The worst part
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: is our sex life. I could step out and get
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: some great sex from other men. Well, I guess what
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: you will be then though, you're bout to be in
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: the car girl and the striple. You don't want that, lady,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: don't do that, she said. But I have a conscious
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: and that's good. I don't want to keep on being
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: miserable in this marriage with mediocre income. And see fat
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: boy ain't what he used to do. Let's just break
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: it down. Fat as got up and got that hunted
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: on it. But love making got to be stressful. His
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: big ass over here, ain't making no money in some
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: side sex, and there's something got to have if you're
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: gonna have, sorry, sex and leaders, let her go shopping. Yeah,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: at least let her go shop. What you can't do
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: is be sitting up in there complaining, and then when
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: she asked you about the sex, your response is I'm sorry,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I'm sill, sorry, but I ain't gonna do nothing about it.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I got this extra hundred on me what you want
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: me to do? So I was not gonna be good
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: with this letter. I knew it when I read it.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Miserable in this mediocre marriage with sex and income. I've
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: talked to my husband about it. Here apologize. What am
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I supposed to do? Do I leave and start over,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: taking the kids away from the stable home and their father? No,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: don't do that. Don't do that? Or should I go
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: ahead and cheat on my husband and stay in this still? Well,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: here's a suggestion that might be able to kill two
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: birds with one store. You could get your husband back
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: off the couch by getting him back into the hustle game. Huh,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: that's what he want to do now, but this time
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: he hustling and scamming. What are you doing he working
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: with you to scratch your in. Let him go out
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: and get to me and that you need to be satisfied,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: and then let him have a cut. Then he'll feel
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: better like he back hustle, You get all that scratch
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: at you out the way, you'll be back in business.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: But you have a conscious. But if he gives you
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: the permission to do what you could do, I don't
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: like this. I'm good with it. But they but the
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: dude then gave up. Yes, a hundred pounds a lot,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: that's a lot, farty, you make a comeback, a hunted.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: But but where was she? Yeah when he gained the
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: first five or or thirty or fifty, Yeah, she was
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: looking at him at fifty. Okay, do you get out
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: of jail, you'd be ripped and yeah, wow, you ain't
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: nothing to do in jail. Butt lift weights. You ain't
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: over eating it now. It's not healthy right, Oh, they
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: ain't got nothing healthy for you. It ain't no gluten free.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: You may get top rumming in the sink. You can't
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: gain no weight over that man, and not a yeah,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: I mean only these are questions only she can answer.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: She wants to stay. She's you know, do I leave
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: and start over, taking the kids away from the stable
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: home with their father. I would say no to that,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: or should I go ahead and cheat on my husband?
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: And see? Her options is if I stay with him,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: because I say it, stay with him and don't take
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: the kids with when they stay home. All her auntsie
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: is if I stay with him, I'm gonna have to
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: cheat on him. Yeah, that's all that. That's her response.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: So now I'm telling her include him in the cheat.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: All right, we gotta got email us or Instagram. That's
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: your thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter, at Steve Harvey f

- 1:26:16Speaker 1: you do? You do? You do? You do? All right,
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: we'll be back with more. We'll be back with more
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. But right now
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: it is time for entertainment news. Well, Steve, I think
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: you knew him. Um you've met him a few times.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Actor Burt Reynolds, Um. Well, he died of a heart
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: attack yesterday morning at a hospital in Florida. This is
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: according to TMZ. Burt Reynolds was eighty two years old.
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: He was transported to a Florida hospital after going into
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: cardiac arrest. His family was by his side when he passed.
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: Burt Reynolds has had heart problems for years. He underwent
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: major heart surgery back in February of two thousand ten.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: It rep tells us that Bert had appeared extremely frail
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: recently after being in and out of the hospital. Bert
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: was a star in movies and on TV, appearing in
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: classics like your Favorite, Steve Smokey and the Bandit. There's
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: no way that you could be from My Loaning Beautiful Teachers.
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: You know, he was on my show. I've only made
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: him once. He was on my show just last season
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: for the first time. It was really an honor to
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: meet him because I was such a fan. Yeah, who
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: was such a huge fan of Burt Reynolds. Man. King
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: was bust dash and everything. Yeah, you're the first, uh
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: male nude magazine centerfold was Yeah. And you know the
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: thing I'm happy about for him was when I was interviewing,
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: He's talking about the thing he was most proud of
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: is that his son was proud of him, and that
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: meant more to him. And he had a full run.
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: He lived his life. Man. Yeah, he was the box
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: office king. I mean, you know, he dumped it all out. Yeah,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: you can't mad when God let you do it all,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: do it all. I heard an interview about him and
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: he said, you know, he didn't really take hisself serious
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: as a serious actor because he turned on the James Bond.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: He turned on a lot of stuff that he just
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: said I couldn't. I don't think I should do. But
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: when he did Deliverance, I mean he was really a
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: really good that he got a Golden Globe and nomination
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: for a Bookie Night's Best Factor nomination. I thought he
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: was gonna win with book Yeah, and he said he
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: almost turned that down too. They had to talk him
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: into doing smoking classes, class and the moment the longest Oh,
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: what's the one with the race timming man? Nothing else
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: about no race shows machine James. Oh yeah, yeah, I
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: can't name all that stuff. I just smoke in the band. Yeah,
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: that's them. He would come over to man, I'm looking
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: forward out law. He brought seven law. What was eating?
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: I'm neither Diablo sand I'm just the Cross County line
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: got him from kidnapping, running from the law. He got
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: a girl in the car. I think it gives a
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: wheel when I get my hands or that Jackie Gleason
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: said this next and he knew that was here. He
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: just shot him. So r I P. Burt Reynolds. Yeah,
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: we'll miss you. Thanks for the movies though, man, Thank you. Yeah,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: all right, thank you. Steve will be back at forty
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: nine after the hour with our closing remarks. We can't
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: let a day go by without those. We'll be right back.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Show. Here we are, Steve.
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: Last break of the day, last break of the week.
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: It's been a great week, a quick week to huh.
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: As we get into your closing remarks, we talked about
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: millionaires and uh, how they live their lives and they
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: surround themselves with positivity and positive people. And I think
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: you definitely agreed with that in your life and how
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: you live your own you know, it's it's it's hard
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: to do for us as people sometimes because we suffered
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: from guilt. But you've got to cultivate to guard, you've
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: got to prune the tree. You've got to extract the
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: bad energy around you. And sometimes times sometimes this is
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: family and friends, and I'm sorry, but that's the way
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: it works. Just because they're your family member does not
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: mean they're good for you just because this person is
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: your so called friend. These so called friends are friends
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: when the sun is shining. These so called friends are
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: sometimes good in certain situations, they're not good for you
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: as a whole. You got to cultivate to God and
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: you've got to prune the tree. You've got it. You've
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: got to rid yourself of people who are not like minded.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: And that's a big part of it. The like mindedness
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: helps you with surrounding yourself with the same attitude. Does
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: that help, Shirley? Absolutely? That helps. I mean, you know,
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: there's an old saying, birds of a feather flock together
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: all of that, you know, yeah, I mean, and and
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: this world you need that because there's so much hate
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: out there, you know, and people don't understand, and we
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: get stuck with our relatives sometimes, and we get stuck
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: with our so called friends because you're paying loyalty to
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: the term of friendship when actually the friendship it's supposed
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: to mean something. But how many times have you found
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: that your your friends do not honor the code of friendship?
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: How many times? So now you've got to recognize that
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: that loyalty has an expiration date, and oftentimes it's the
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: people around you have stopped being loyal to you long
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: before you ever considered not being loyal to them. Yeah.
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: And I just want my friend Steve to be as
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: happy for me when good things happen. Is I am
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: genuinely for them when and if they're not. And if
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: they're not, you need some new friends. And it's okay
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: because I have friends in my life that were just
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: for a season of time. Oh Man, we was cool
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: back then when we was doing this that that. But
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: at this level right here, man, some of them I
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: can't exposed. And I still got some friends I grew
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: up with, Man, I can bring around me. We can
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: go places, we could chop it up. But I got
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: some friends, Man, I had to let go with them.
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: Two wasn't they wasn't ready for this hill. Yeah. And
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: you know what you mentioned something earlier, Steve about guilt.
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: You know a lot of times that holds us back
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: because we feel guilty, you know, letting them go, and
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: guilty when we don't help them. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: because you can't help them all with the other thing
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: that Steve says a lot is that sometimes we take
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: stuff off of our friends and families that we wouldn't
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: normally take from a stranger. And we just let it
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: go on and on and on, and you just have
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: to get in that mindset that it's time to go.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: Is in the hood, there's a said, you gotta keep
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: it real. Yeah, you gotta keep it real. You man,
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: don't forget where you come from. You know all this
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: right here? Hey man, don't don't don't forget about us now, yeah,
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: you know now, you thank you all that. No, no,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: listen to me. You're supposed to keep it moving, but
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: you know what, I'm supposed to keep it moving. I'm
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: guilty of making my friends and family problem my problem.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: You know, well, we all do that. Everybody does that.
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: We take on way too much. And it's not your responsibility.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: You are not responsible for another man who is responsible
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: for his family. That's not your job. Man. You are
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: in charge of your family, your wife and your kids.
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: That's your number one priority. Everybody else is a distant,
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: third and fourth a distant and me helping you can't
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: take away from my family and something they gotta have.
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: I can't deny my children access to great programming. Trying
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: to help your child to get out of jail, No
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: hold up, now what what well? WoT WoT partner? I
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: can't help you make your house note if it's gonna
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: cause my house note to be delinquents. It doesn't It
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: doesn't make any sense. But people use manipulation and guilt
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: to hold you to a set of things that's only
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: beneficial to them. And it's amazing how they how they
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: change the narrative to get you to feel guilty about
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: what the decision that you made. It's ridiculous, man, Stop
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: allowing people to do that to you. If you're constantly
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: finding yourself having to explain yourself to your friends, excuse
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: them for something they said, always aiding them. You need
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: some new friends, and it's okay to get some new friends.
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: You just gotta stop being their friends. Pull back. You
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: ain't gotta you ain't gonna snatch your head out the
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: line's mouth. Sometimes I just got ease it out slowly.
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: STI let a couple of phone calls come through that
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: you don't return. Just try the message starts getting in.
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: Just don't answer a couple of texts I got battling,
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: change your number and then send it to j Okay,
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: I'm telling that takes care of that. We did the
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: closing remarks that way the day we did the closing remarks,
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: and like a question period kind of helps me get
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: some thoughts, thought starters. Maybe that to help somebody. Pretty
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: sure a lot of you out there dealing with some
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: of these same things. So keep your head up. God
