- 2:05Speaker 7: listening to the voice, Come on now, gig me one
- 2:09Speaker 7: of only Steve Harvey got what radio show man? What
- 2:15Speaker 7: you're doing with it? Trying to do the very very
- 2:18Speaker 7: best I can with it? I really am. You know,
- 2:21Speaker 7: I get tired sometimes on my journey. I'm not gonna
- 2:24Speaker 7: kid you. Trying to make something about yourself is a task.
- 2:33Speaker 7: If you want to attempt to do something, and and
- 2:37Speaker 7: understand going in that that the if the thing you're
- 2:41Speaker 7: trying to do is to improve yourself, to better your position,
- 2:47Speaker 7: to better your relationship, your family, anything, you're trying to
- 2:52Speaker 7: be a better you. You're trying to make more money,
- 2:56Speaker 7: you're trying to get it together, you're trying to change
- 3:00Speaker 7: if any of those things are in your hopes and dreams.
- 3:06Speaker 7: Know this right here, you are about to face some challenges.
- 3:12Speaker 7: But you might as well go ahead anyway and face
- 3:15Speaker 7: those challenges, because if you don't, you have a whole.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Other set of challenges to face.
- 3:21Speaker 6: You know.
- 3:22Speaker 7: It's an amazing thing, man, how people sit around and
- 3:26Speaker 7: they watch other people strike out to become successful. They
- 3:30Speaker 7: sit in the stands watching these people play out these games,
- 3:34Speaker 7: and they and they and they criticize, They boo, they
- 3:38Speaker 7: laugh at their efforts and everything, and they talk about
- 3:41Speaker 7: the failse he missed that game when he shop boy,
- 3:44Speaker 7: he suck man, he did this. He ain't worth that.
- 3:48Speaker 7: I hear people who sit in stands who criticize people
- 3:54Speaker 7: who are out there on the playing field. Now, when
- 3:58Speaker 7: you're on the plane, feel you have a set of
- 4:02Speaker 7: challenges in front of you. You're going to be open
- 4:04Speaker 7: to criticism. You're going to be open to ridicule. You're
- 4:09Speaker 7: going to be talked about when you don't know the
- 4:12Speaker 7: people who are talking about you. Now, here's the upside
- 4:20Speaker 7: to being the player on the field that's facing all
- 4:23Speaker 7: the challenges, to criticisms, the laughing, the joke, to being
- 4:27Speaker 7: talked about. He has something going for him. This person boy, woman,
- 4:36Speaker 7: child girl man has an opportunity to win. They have
- 4:42Speaker 7: an opportunity to win. And in the game of life,
- 4:48Speaker 7: just because you lose one of the games, or you
- 4:51Speaker 7: lose one of the matches, it don't mean you've lost.
- 4:55Speaker 7: You don't get put out. You keep playing. And when
- 4:59Speaker 7: you playing, here's the upside. You have the opportunity to win.
- 5:05Speaker 7: But guess what, You're gonna win some of the matches.
- 5:08Speaker 7: You're gonna win some of the points. You're gonna make
- 5:09Speaker 7: some of the dunks. You're gonna hit some of them
- 5:11Speaker 7: over the wall. You're gonna hit some out the park.
- 5:14Speaker 7: You're gonna score some goals. You will if you're playing
- 5:18Speaker 7: the game. Here's the problem with the people who don't
- 5:23Speaker 7: face criticism, who nobody boos or cheers for, who sits
- 5:29Speaker 7: in the stands and knows neither victory nor defeat. Those people,
- 5:37Speaker 7: without realizing it, are facing a set of challenges also.
- 5:42Speaker 7: And the challenges they're facing is how I'm gonna live
- 5:46Speaker 7: with myself, What I'm gonna do? Now, what direction am
- 5:54Speaker 7: I going in? Where am I gonna live? Wonder what
- 6:00Speaker 7: job will hire me? Wonder if I can get paid
- 6:06Speaker 7: for criticizing.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Ah woe is me.
- 6:12Speaker 7: I can't find the purpose in my life. And man,
- 6:16Speaker 7: I'm just waking up in a state of confusion. I
- 6:18Speaker 7: don't know what to do. Now, let me ask you something,
- 6:23Speaker 7: which one of them set the challenges you'd rather be
- 6:25Speaker 7: faced with? Because if I'm on the flow playing, if
- 6:29Speaker 7: I'm on the field playing, if I'm out on the
- 6:32Speaker 7: court playing, then guess what I got a chance at winning?
- 6:37Speaker 7: But guess what I'm doing every day while I'm playing.
- 6:39Speaker 7: I'm strategizing. I'm waking up with a purpose. I'm waking
- 6:43Speaker 7: up trying to come up with another angle. I'm in
- 6:48Speaker 7: pursuit of a goal every single day. Versus the people
- 6:54Speaker 7: in the stands who know neither victory nor defeat. Get
- 7:03Speaker 7: in the game, face the challenges. Better yourself, better your wife,
- 7:09Speaker 7: better your children, better your condition, better your employment status,
- 7:12Speaker 7: better your job, better your career.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Take a shot.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Come on, man, what you waiting on?
- 7:17Speaker 7: Because the alternative is to watch other people play the game?
- 7:23Speaker 1: You know what I just do? Sometimes Sometimes I just I.
- 7:26Speaker 7: Get Forbes magazine or Money magazine, or sometimes I still
- 7:31Speaker 7: grab a copy of the rob Report. I just flip
- 7:34Speaker 7: through it just to see I used to get this
- 7:37Speaker 7: book called Unique Homes. Unique Homes is a magazine that
- 7:41Speaker 7: just has a lot of extravagant houses that's on sale.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Across the country, across the world. I used to flip through.
- 7:47Speaker 7: Man, let me just see, man, what the people that's
- 7:51Speaker 7: playing the game out there doing. Stop watching other people
- 7:55Speaker 7: become successful when you could very easily be you if
- 7:59Speaker 7: you make the decision. But when you make the decision
- 8:02Speaker 7: to become successful, get ready for a series of challenges.
- 8:07Speaker 7: I think it's more difficult not to accept the challenge.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I think it's for me. This is just for me.
- 8:14Speaker 2: It may not be the case for you.
- 8:15Speaker 7: For me, I think it's far more difficult to wake
- 8:18Speaker 7: up and just see how life gonna go today, because man,
- 8:20Speaker 7: it could just deal you any kind of hand today.
- 8:24Speaker 7: You understand, I don't like, you know, spades. Let's talk
- 8:30Speaker 7: a card game for tim, the game of spades. Really, man,
- 8:34Speaker 7: it ain't a whole lot you can do if you
- 8:35Speaker 7: don't get no spades. Really, it's a little couple of
- 8:39Speaker 7: little strategies you're gonna do. But you can have all
- 8:41Speaker 7: this age, king, queen, diamond all you want. But man,
- 8:43Speaker 7: you ain't got no spades. They cutting them. You're in trouble.
- 8:47Speaker 7: Be it with different game. You can create what's in
- 8:51Speaker 7: your hand. You got dealt a hand too, But you
- 8:55Speaker 7: can create a hand. You can call a trump. You
- 8:57Speaker 7: can make diamonds your space. You can make hard to
- 9:01Speaker 7: clubs your spades. That's what I'm saying. You can do
- 9:04Speaker 7: something with it. It's a different game, man. You can strategize.
- 9:08Speaker 7: I would rather have a say so in my life
- 9:10Speaker 7: than to wake up every day and just see how
- 9:12Speaker 7: it's going. I think it's more difficult to not accept
- 9:16Speaker 7: the challenge to be something than it is to accept
- 9:18Speaker 7: the challenge to be something. I think it's more difficult
- 9:22Speaker 7: to sit around and not be nothing. I think it's
- 9:24Speaker 7: harder to watch everybody life going somewhere but mine. I
- 9:28Speaker 7: think it would be very difficult for me to sit
- 9:30Speaker 7: here and hear them talking about other people that never
- 9:33Speaker 7: mentioned my name. It would be difficult for me to
- 9:35Speaker 7: see everybody rise and getting promotions accept me. That would
- 9:39Speaker 7: be difficult for me. It may not be for you,
- 9:42Speaker 7: but for me it would be quite challenging. I would
- 9:44Speaker 7: rather accept the challenge of making something out of my
- 9:47Speaker 7: life than to sit there and criticize those and then
- 9:51Speaker 7: watch and see how my life just may go.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Okay, just a thought.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Today you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Ladies
- 10:04Speaker 1: and gentlemen, let me have your attention please.
- 10:06Speaker 8: This is a divorce of Junior as a deep base
- 10:11Speaker 8: money everybody.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Wow, that's not much difference.
- 10:20Speaker 7: I hope y'all off to a great start today. I
- 10:23Speaker 7: really do.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I hope you.
- 10:24Speaker 7: Didn't forget to tell God how much you appreciate today.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I really do. It's the best way to start your day.
- 10:31Speaker 7: Gratitude affects your attitude, which is in direct correlation with
- 10:35Speaker 7: your altitude.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Come on, y'all, be grateful. Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:39Speaker 7: Shelley Strawberry calling for real Mississippi Monica, Julia Jennie.
- 10:45Speaker 2: What's on your mind?
- 10:46Speaker 1: Man?
- 10:46Speaker 9: Let me ask you this up man, Can you talk
- 10:48Speaker 9: to us this morning about something? I know you have
- 10:50Speaker 9: a lot of experience here by being patient in this
- 10:53Speaker 9: process while you're on your journey. You know, we want
- 10:56Speaker 9: everything that happen right now, and we want to do
- 10:58Speaker 9: it because maybe some people doubt of us, maybe some
- 11:00Speaker 9: people didn't believe in us, and we want.
- 11:02Speaker 8: To show him.
- 11:02Speaker 9: But we impatient in this process. How do you how
- 11:05Speaker 9: did you have to deal with that.
- 11:07Speaker 7: Well, I'm impatient too, I'm I'm in I'm I'm very human.
- 11:13Speaker 7: I'm just like everybody else when I get through praying
- 11:15Speaker 7: for something I want. When I'm praying for it is
- 11:19Speaker 7: you because I won't it and I and I and
- 11:22Speaker 7: I want it immediately. What I've had to learn, though,
- 11:27Speaker 7: is I have to I had to learn to trust
- 11:30Speaker 7: in his timing of it. He heard me, he knew
- 11:35Speaker 7: what I wanted before I asked him for you, so
- 11:40Speaker 7: and and He's boxed it up and he shipped it's
- 11:42Speaker 7: on the way. But when God boxes it up and
- 11:46Speaker 7: ships it to you, the thing he will not do
- 11:49Speaker 7: is tell you the date that the package is going
- 11:51Speaker 7: to arrive, because that would destroy the one thing that
- 11:55Speaker 7: you all have to have in this relationship, which is faith.
- 11:58Speaker 7: Faith is a belief in things that you cannot see.
- 12:02Speaker 7: So you have to trust in his timing. That's the
- 12:06Speaker 7: thing you have to learn. You're gonna be impatient because
- 12:10Speaker 7: you're human. Lord, where you at, like for okay, for
- 12:15Speaker 7: giving an example, you're praying for a financial breakthrough because
- 12:20Speaker 7: you really want it, because you're tired of the struggle,
- 12:22Speaker 7: right and in the process of waiting on this financial breakthrough,
- 12:28Speaker 7: you have to realize, hey man, I'm actually surviving right now.
- 12:34Speaker 7: I'm actually still paying my rent, I'm still making the
- 12:38Speaker 7: car note. It may be hard, but I still keep
- 12:41Speaker 7: coming up with it. And in that you have to
- 12:44Speaker 7: show some form of gratitude. See, but what happens to
- 12:49Speaker 7: people is we ask God for this financial overflow and
- 12:56Speaker 7: I don't get here, and we study complaining about that,
- 12:58Speaker 7: and we forget that we're still making it somehow, that
- 13:03Speaker 7: if you look around, you ain't lost nothing. You ain't
- 13:06Speaker 7: had to sell nothing, ain't nobody repold nothing. You ain't
- 13:08Speaker 7: got no eviction notices on nothing, you quit. You failed
- 13:12Speaker 7: to look at that because you're so focused on what
- 13:14Speaker 7: you don't have yet. But looking at what you don't
- 13:18Speaker 7: have cannot allow you to lose sight of what you
- 13:22Speaker 7: do have. And if you could get those two things
- 13:26Speaker 7: to line up correctly, bam man, you can be all
- 13:30Speaker 7: right and trust in his time and then know that
- 13:31Speaker 7: God ain't ever been late.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Tell me the last time he was late.
- 13:36Speaker 1: God's perfect timing. Steve, you're right all right. Coming up
- 13:40Speaker 1: in thirty two minutes after we'll run that praying back
- 13:43Speaker 1: with Junior in for the nephew. Right after this, you're
- 13:45Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hey everyone, quick health question.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Even though you're still thriving, still loving, still connecting, did
- 13:58Speaker 1: you know your immune systems with age. That's where vaccines
- 14:02Speaker 1: come in. They help train and strengthen your immune response
- 14:05Speaker 1: to fight off certain respiratory illnesses like flu new Macaco, pneumonia, RSV,
- 14:10Speaker 1: and COVID nineteen this fall, ask your doctor which vaccines
- 14:14Speaker 1: you need and visit vaccisist dot com that's vaexsist dot
- 14:18Speaker 1: com to schedule one or more of vaccines sponsored by Pfizer.
- 14:23Speaker 1: It's time now to run that prank back with Junior
- 14:26Speaker 1: in for the nephew. What you got for is.
- 14:28Speaker 8: Junior guys ours ministry.
- 14:30Speaker 6: Come on cat, Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Clarence.
- 14:33Speaker 10: Clarence. How you doing, Clarence. This is Statius man. I'm
- 14:38Speaker 10: over at the church man, my Baptist church where you
- 14:41Speaker 10: a member of?
- 14:42Speaker 2: Right?
- 14:43Speaker 11: Oh yeah, hey, okay, hey, I'm with the Gems man
- 14:47Speaker 11: and you you you actually came to uh gems the Gims'
- 14:52Speaker 11: that's God's as missionary And basically what we do is
- 14:58Speaker 11: we watch what's going on on in the church.
- 15:01Speaker 10: Who's coming, who hasn't come? You know, I don't mean
- 15:04Speaker 10: any harm, but if my records indicate me right through
- 15:08Speaker 10: my God's eyes, minister, the gems looking at my books,
- 15:12Speaker 10: looks like you this is your first time at the
- 15:14Speaker 10: church this year?
- 15:15Speaker 6: Correct?
- 15:16Speaker 12: Yeah, I mean what can I do for you?
- 15:18Speaker 6: Okay?
- 15:19Speaker 10: Now, when Pastor asked for all the visitors to stand,
- 15:21Speaker 10: you actually did not stand?
- 15:23Speaker 6: Correct?
- 15:25Speaker 10: Because you remember there we go. Now you you still
- 15:27Speaker 10: work for uh you you you work for them?
- 15:31Speaker 6: Yeah? Okay, Now what we've done is we've averaged it
- 15:34Speaker 6: out that you.
- 15:34Speaker 13: What what I mean?
- 15:37Speaker 12: What is this about?
- 15:37Speaker 6: Okay, I'm on my way to it.
- 15:39Speaker 10: So so you probably are you averaging about what between
- 15:43Speaker 10: forty and fifty thousand dollars on a yearly basis over.
- 15:46Speaker 12: There with I mean, I mean, yeah, something like that.
- 15:49Speaker 10: But you know, go ahead, problem see what we're looking
- 15:52Speaker 10: at since you are member, because see you did not
- 15:54Speaker 10: stand when he said all members says you did not
- 15:57Speaker 10: stand up, which which you right there of making the
- 16:01Speaker 10: you know, you're you're you're clarifying that you are a member,
- 16:04Speaker 10: and you're making about we're gonna roughly say about forty
- 16:07Speaker 10: five thousand dollars a year, which means ten percent in
- 16:09Speaker 10: forty five hundred. Now we looked at the books and
- 16:14Speaker 10: notice that you put in fifty dollars in the church
- 16:17Speaker 10: on this past Easter on Sunday. See when you're gonna
- 16:20Speaker 10: start cutting into this forty five hundred dollars that you
- 16:23Speaker 10: ought to be paying your tithes? Will a man rob God?
- 16:26Speaker 10: Yet you have robbed me well in tied that would offer.
- 16:29Speaker 1: See you you you you.
- 16:30Speaker 12: Are wait a minue, hold on, hold a second. You
- 16:32Speaker 12: got all this stuff going on to the church. You
- 16:34Speaker 12: you got h you got hungry people, you got people
- 16:38Speaker 12: that need salvation and whatever. But you calling me about
- 16:42Speaker 12: about some money that I haven't given to the church. Well, well, see,
- 16:45Speaker 12: and what your minister does y'all y'all spend all morning
- 16:49Speaker 12: calling people.
- 16:50Speaker 10: My job, sir, as a gym God's eyes ministry, My
- 16:55Speaker 10: job is to keep an eye on what's going on
- 16:58Speaker 10: at the church. Now, when are you gonna start cutting
- 17:01Speaker 10: into your tie? You forty five hundred dollars a day?
- 17:04Speaker 10: We see, this is why we can't get the extra
- 17:06Speaker 10: wing that pastor wants to put on because people like you.
- 17:10Speaker 12: This is why listen, I don't even have to explain
- 17:12Speaker 12: this to you. But let me explain something to you.
- 17:14Speaker 12: This is a one job household. My wife don't work,
- 17:17Speaker 12: but my wife comes to church every Sunday and she
- 17:20Speaker 12: pays the tide as the gym ministry have y'all looked
- 17:23Speaker 12: at her tie.
- 17:24Speaker 10: Her tides ain't got nothing to do with you.
- 17:28Speaker 6: You understand you have to pay your ties.
- 17:31Speaker 10: Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed. You're
- 17:35Speaker 10: making forty.
- 17:36Speaker 12: Five five dollars somebody from the church. I don't know
- 17:41Speaker 12: if that is something. I'll tell you that who is, Yes,
- 17:46Speaker 12: I have, but that's not none of their business. That's
- 17:49Speaker 12: I know, I know, I know. What does it have
- 17:51Speaker 12: to do with him calling people and asking them if
- 17:53Speaker 12: their pantings? I got this, I got this ham?
- 17:57Speaker 13: Yeah, you know I got it.
- 17:57Speaker 12: I got it, I got it, I got it, I
- 17:59Speaker 12: got I know, I don't.
- 18:01Speaker 6: I don't know who was that, sir.
- 18:03Speaker 12: That's my wife has been paying. That's my wife in
- 18:05Speaker 12: being I tied.
- 18:05Speaker 1: That's right, Oh okay.
- 18:09Speaker 10: I don't have nothing in my books that say y'all
- 18:12Speaker 10: pay three hundred dollars.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Not undergo.
- 18:15Speaker 12: If she said we paid three hundred dollars, we paid
- 18:17Speaker 12: three hundred dollars.
- 18:18Speaker 6: Okay, when are you gonna start cutting into this party?
- 18:21Speaker 6: Five with a man? Rob God?
- 18:24Speaker 1: Yet you have robbed me.
- 18:26Speaker 6: That is what you are doing, sir, Well you know
- 18:28Speaker 6: what you robbing.
- 18:29Speaker 12: Me right now? You robbing me right now at my
- 18:31Speaker 12: time where I could go out, I gotta be work.
- 18:34Speaker 12: I can't even go get dressed right now because I'm
- 18:36Speaker 12: on the phone with you. I have to be at
- 18:38Speaker 12: work in half an hour. You robbed me right now
- 18:41Speaker 12: of my time.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Let me ask you something.
- 18:43Speaker 10: Can you bring your tax return into the to why
- 18:45Speaker 10: I can take a look at it?
- 18:47Speaker 12: My tax return? You know, I tell you what. I
- 18:49Speaker 12: bring my tax return. If everybody else bring their tax return.
- 18:52Speaker 12: If you bring your tax return and pass to bring
- 18:54Speaker 12: your tax return, then I'll bring my tax return. We
- 18:57Speaker 12: can have a tax return party.
- 18:59Speaker 6: When will your tech return? When? Can you can you
- 19:02Speaker 6: fax it to me?
- 19:03Speaker 12: Are you serious? I mean, I mean, I mean if
- 19:06Speaker 12: it's is, if.
- 19:08Speaker 10: It's not too much to ask for, Listen, I'm gonna
- 19:11Speaker 10: be honest with you. The next time you do come
- 19:13Speaker 10: to church, were gonna pat you down?
- 19:14Speaker 12: Oh hold on, you gonna pat me down next time
- 19:17Speaker 12: I come to church?
- 19:18Speaker 2: And then lay hands on you.
- 19:19Speaker 12: Okay, let me ask you this. Do you are you
- 19:21Speaker 12: on salary at the church?
- 19:23Speaker 6: Yeah? But what does but what that? What does?

- 21:19Speaker 10: show in the land.
- 21:20Speaker 12: Obviously Harvey Morning Show.
- 21:25Speaker 1: We're back, all right, Junior, thank you. Coming up next,
- 21:30Speaker 1: it is asked the COLO our chief love Officer, Steve
- 21:32Speaker 1: Harvey in the building right after this, you're listening to
- 21:35Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hi, this is Shirley's Strawberry
- 21:44Speaker 1: and I'm partnering with the leave. Let me tell you
- 21:46Speaker 1: it couldn't have come at a better time. I'm with
- 21:48Speaker 1: some furniture around last weekend in my new place. It
- 21:51Speaker 1: turns out that was a really bad idea because all
- 21:54Speaker 1: that bending and lifting and pretending I'm still twenty five
- 21:57Speaker 1: didn't agree with my knees. So I leave because when
- 22:01Speaker 1: my body pain shows up, I need something that lasts
- 22:04Speaker 1: with just one pill a lead last up to twelve hours.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Don't let those aches and pains hold you back from
- 22:09Speaker 1: doing what's important to you. Use as directed. Coming up
- 22:13Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. In entertainment news, there's
- 22:16Speaker 1: a new twenty thousand dollars robot that does household chores.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Where have you been on My Life?
- 22:22Speaker 8: I love it?
- 22:23Speaker 11: Yay.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Asap Rocky will receive a Fashion Icon Award this year.
- 22:29Speaker 1: We'll tell you about that and a factory worker got
- 22:32Speaker 1: an extra eighty seven thousand dollars on his check and
- 22:36Speaker 1: his company wants the money back. That is all coming
- 22:39Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour whatever, But right
- 22:42Speaker 1: now it is time to ask the COLO. Our chief
- 22:45Speaker 1: Love Officer, Steve Harvey. This is from Omari in Hoboken.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Omari writes, I met a woman at our homeowners meeting
- 22:52Speaker 1: and she asked me out. But she's out of my
- 22:55Speaker 1: league and off limits because she lives close to me.
- 22:58Speaker 1: It's probably not a good idea, but I want to
- 23:01Speaker 1: see what's up. Is that a terrible idea or should
- 23:05Speaker 1: I go for it?
- 23:06Speaker 7: Well, I'm assuming he's married. Yeah, that's what I'm assuming.
- 23:14Speaker 7: Ain't a lot of single.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Dudes live nowhere where they got a homeowner's association.
- 23:20Speaker 7: Ain't a lot of single dudes going to homeowners association meetings.
- 23:25Speaker 7: It just ain't a lot of dudes. Now women, yes, dudes. No,
- 23:30Speaker 7: So your particular marriage self down there. You didn't want
- 23:33Speaker 7: to put that in the letter, and you say the
- 23:36Speaker 7: problem is she stays too close, which means it's gonna
- 23:41Speaker 7: be hard for you to go over there without your
- 23:43Speaker 7: wife's seeing you.
- 23:46Speaker 6: Dog.
- 23:46Speaker 7: This has disaster written all over it. This got disaster
- 23:52Speaker 7: written all over it. Now, Uncle Steve gonna advise you
- 23:55Speaker 7: to ignore this, get this out your mind, and go home.
- 24:00Speaker 2: That's my advice to you.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Good advice.
- 24:03Speaker 7: Well, because you're in your thirties going over there and
- 24:06Speaker 7: see what's having what? Yeah, so you can learn this
- 24:12Speaker 7: lesson the hard way, because see, sometimes you just can't
- 24:15Speaker 7: tell people. I'm told him what he needed to do. Yeah,
- 24:18Speaker 7: I strongly advise you, brother, let this go and go
- 24:21Speaker 7: on home. But you're thirty something. You wrote a letter.
- 24:24Speaker 7: It's on your mind so heavy, and you ain't got
- 24:27Speaker 7: nobody to even run this by. You might even be
- 24:31Speaker 7: in your forties, but see, you ain't had nobody hit
- 24:34Speaker 7: on you in a long time.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Because she asked him out.
- 24:38Speaker 7: Is that?
- 24:38Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 24:38Speaker 2: You're thirsty? Thirsty?
- 24:41Speaker 1: She's thirsty because she asked him out.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Really he's thirsty.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Oh he's thirsty? Okay, yeah, all right? Moving on to
- 24:50Speaker 1: celestin Tacoma Celestrites. I got married when I was nineteen
- 24:54Speaker 1: and it didn't last but one year. I got married
- 24:57Speaker 1: again when I was twenty five, and that that's a
- 25:00Speaker 1: five years. I'm only thirty two and on my third marriage.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Any advice for me.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's probably gonna last seven years.
- 25:09Speaker 1: If you care about advice, that's a predications.
- 25:12Speaker 7: I'm just basing on the ratio you've been biting it.
- 25:15Speaker 7: I've got seven on this one.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I got five on it. Yeah.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Is she picking wrong?
- 25:24Speaker 2: Not necessary? Yeah, yeah, you've picked wrong. Yeah.
- 25:28Speaker 7: Well, the first time you shouldn't have been nobody's wife,
- 25:31Speaker 7: this is nineteen is just you know, you don't even
- 25:33Speaker 7: know you right. The next time you was twenty five,
- 25:37Speaker 7: you still ain't really got you all the way together.
- 25:41Speaker 2: So this is the first time you could, you could
- 25:43Speaker 2: know who you are.
- 25:43Speaker 1: This could last though, at thirty two.
- 25:47Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah, put the work in, put it in, put
- 25:50Speaker 14: the work in.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe marriage counseling. Yeah, all right. Going on to
- 25:57Speaker 1: Thurmon in Montgomery, Thurman writes, my daughter in law told
- 26:02Speaker 1: my wife that I make her uncomfortable. My bad. But
- 26:06Speaker 1: if she comes around me in her tight dress dressed
- 26:09Speaker 1: with parts of her fat belly out, I'm going to
- 26:11Speaker 1: look at her. Trust me, it's not in a lustful way.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Should I bust her bubble or not? He says, trust me,
- 26:18Speaker 1: it's not in a lustful way.
- 26:20Speaker 7: Br br br bruh. Come on, man, wait, you you
- 26:25Speaker 7: so far out of line in this letter. Yeah, trust me,
- 26:30Speaker 7: if she walk in front of me with right there,
- 26:33Speaker 7: bro what you're talking about bruh, you so far out
- 26:36Speaker 7: of line with this with and trust me, is not
- 26:39Speaker 7: in a lustful way.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Okay? Well what you're staring at her fault?
- 26:43Speaker 1: What way is it? I don't know? Is it is
- 26:46Speaker 1: he disgusted because her belly?
- 26:48Speaker 10: Is that?
- 26:49Speaker 1: I mean?
- 26:49Speaker 7: But you make her uncomfortable and she just said that
- 26:52Speaker 7: to your wife. Bruh. He's just in there, just bruh,
- 26:57Speaker 7: you got it, Bruh. You gotta do something completely.
- 27:00Speaker 2: This is on you. This is on you.
- 27:03Speaker 7: How she walking around in front of you and all
- 27:05Speaker 7: this here, bro, this on you, brother, you finish? Okay,
- 27:08Speaker 7: all right, let me tell you what's getting ready to
- 27:10Speaker 7: happen or whoever this woman is you married to, you
- 27:14Speaker 7: Finn to lose her unless you change your this all bruh.
- 27:17Speaker 2: You gotta take accountability for this one here.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Yeah, he doesn't seem to get that, my bad.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Bruh.
- 27:24Speaker 7: You sitting up in here talking about if you come
- 27:26Speaker 7: in front of me dressed like this and you got
- 27:28Speaker 7: your stomach out, I'm I'm looking at her, but trust me,
- 27:32Speaker 7: it ain't in a lustful way.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Brow what way is it? Yeah?
- 27:38Speaker 2: Man, hey man, let me just say this right here.
- 27:41Speaker 2: It's some real, real mixed.
- 27:44Speaker 7: Up people out there who are on the verge of stupid,
- 27:48Speaker 7: who really have convinced themselves that they okay. But when
- 27:53Speaker 7: you write this, let you write a letter into somebody
- 27:56Speaker 7: who's not connected to it and can hear it for
- 27:58Speaker 7: what it is.
- 27:59Speaker 2: I'm telling you, brother, you're not okay.
- 28:02Speaker 7: You're out of line on this one and this one
- 28:04Speaker 7: don't sound right, and right now it sounds like you
- 28:07Speaker 7: make the girl uncomfortable.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Well that's what she said. Yeah, and then he's gonna
- 28:13Speaker 1: ask should I bust her bubble or not?
- 28:15Speaker 11: What?
- 28:16Speaker 14: And so she told the wife his wife. She didn't
- 28:20Speaker 14: tell her husband because his daughter in law, so obviously
- 28:24Speaker 14: her husband is his son. Yeah, so she didn't tell
- 28:28Speaker 14: her husband. She told the wife her mother in law.
- 28:32Speaker 2: What I'm not understanding, So.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Yeah, this this is his daughter in law. So she's
- 28:42Speaker 1: married to his son, right, And she, the daughter in law,
- 28:47Speaker 1: told her mother in law his wife, her husband makes me.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Your husband, my father in law makes me uncomfortable when
- 28:55Speaker 1: I come around.
- 28:56Speaker 7: This is his son's wife. Yes, way out of line.
- 29:01Speaker 7: You way out of line. Oh, dog, you even further.
- 29:05Speaker 7: This is your boy's wife.

- 29:11Speaker 1: he said, my daughter in law.
- 29:13Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 29:14Speaker 7: But see, but I don't know why I heard step daughter.
- 29:17Speaker 7: I don't know why I was thinking of the daughter
- 29:20Speaker 7: of the woman he's married to. This is the daughter
- 29:24Speaker 7: that's married to his son.
- 29:26Speaker 3: He said, she'd have told the father.
- 29:29Speaker 2: A dog, you dog, I don't know how you looking
- 29:31Speaker 2: at this woman, but you had.
- 29:33Speaker 1: A line, partner, he said, not in a lustful way.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Okay, why she uncomfortable? Dad?
- 29:42Speaker 1: He says, she has tight dresses with parts of her
- 29:45Speaker 1: fat belly out.
- 29:48Speaker 14: And she told his wife, her mother in law, and
- 29:52Speaker 14: the mother in law told her husband probably stopped looking.
- 29:55Speaker 1: At her like that.
- 29:56Speaker 15: Bro, that's so crazy. Yeah, even tell you how crazy
- 30:01Speaker 15: that is. Yeah, And then he says, not in a

- 53:19Speaker 7: about when they was getting the N word abolished. He
- 53:21Speaker 7: went in there and talked to Butch Lewis and told
- 53:23Speaker 7: him how the word had to stop and when he's
- 53:25Speaker 7: gonna stop using it. But Lewis looked at him and said,
- 53:29Speaker 7: N word please.
- 53:31Speaker 12: Wow.
- 53:33Speaker 8: Didn't they have a Didn't they have a funeral for
- 53:35Speaker 8: the N word? Remember? They put the N word in
- 53:37Speaker 8: the ground, covered it up. It's like a ceremony.
- 53:40Speaker 1: I don't remember that.
- 53:41Speaker 7: But I I'm dealing with the N word ghost then,
- 53:45Speaker 7: because he.
- 53:48Speaker 2: The ghost of Yeah, he visited me all the time.
- 53:55Speaker 1: I know.
- 54:00Speaker 6: It gives you.
- 54:02Speaker 9: Up when you say it to me. I know when
- 54:04Speaker 9: you say it to me sometimes I see, I see.
- 54:07Speaker 8: But see, I will.
- 54:08Speaker 7: I know how people feel about the use of the word.
- 54:11Speaker 7: For me and where I grew up at, you know,
- 54:15Speaker 7: it was different, and I understand and I'm agreeing with
- 54:19Speaker 7: anybody who wants to abolish the work.
- 54:21Speaker 2: I'm in full agreement with it.
- 54:23Speaker 7: I think you should just I'm not gonna be able
- 54:26Speaker 7: to participate with.
- 54:27Speaker 9: You, so you're speak nothing like that.
- 54:32Speaker 7: Fifteen of them gonna be coming to my ranch this year.
- 54:37Speaker 2: As soon as they get off the bus, I gotta
- 54:39Speaker 2: let them know.
- 54:42Speaker 7: I'm glad to see all y'all.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Go in front of all these sentences. How you being?
- 54:49Speaker 7: It goes front and after my complete the sentence, they
- 54:55Speaker 7: can't get off the bus, and I just.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Go, my, what's that's empty?
- 55:01Speaker 11: All right?
- 55:02Speaker 3: Coming on?
- 55:03Speaker 2: He's been in the whole sixty four years.

- 56:45Speaker 9: Letter with my good friend Shirley Strawberry.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Thank you junior. Subject to keeping a secret always backfires.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Dear Stephen, Shirley. I'm in my late twenties and I
- 56:54Speaker 1: got married two years ago. My husband is eleven years
- 56:58Speaker 1: older than I am, and he's a great man, but
- 57:00Speaker 1: he went through a brief period of ed before we
- 57:03Speaker 1: got married. I was young and care free at the time,
- 57:07Speaker 1: so I did something very stupid. I had gone for
- 57:10Speaker 1: close to three months without sex with my man, and
- 57:13Speaker 1: I went to a wedding back in my hometown and
- 57:16Speaker 1: had sex with my ex boyfriend from high school. All
- 57:20Speaker 1: of the feelings I had for him came flooding back,
- 57:22Speaker 1: and I had an affair with him for two months.
- 57:25Speaker 1: He flew in to see me during the week and
- 57:27Speaker 1: I would leave work and spend the afternoon with him
- 57:30Speaker 1: at different hotels. Then he ghosted me without any explanation,
- 57:35Speaker 1: and I was deeply hurt. I confided in one of
- 57:38Speaker 1: my closest friends, and she kept it real with me
- 57:41Speaker 1: and said I needed to get over it and marry
- 57:44Speaker 1: the man that's in love with me. I got engaged
- 57:48Speaker 1: and this close friend wanted to be a bridesmaid, but
- 57:51Speaker 1: I had to choose my fiancee's sister instead of her.
- 57:55Speaker 1: She told me that she understood, and I was relieved
- 57:59Speaker 1: until one of our other friends told me that the
- 58:01Speaker 1: girl was calling me a lucky bee behind my back.
- 58:04Speaker 1: I thought she was jealous because she was single, so
- 58:07Speaker 1: I let it slide. I got pregnant on my wedding night,
- 58:10Speaker 1: and my life has been NonStop since then. I ran
- 58:14Speaker 1: into my old friend and she was very bitter. I
- 58:18Speaker 1: went to hug her, and she pulled back. She said
- 58:21Speaker 1: I ghosted her after I got everything I wanted, and
- 58:24Speaker 1: my husband should know who I really am in love with.
- 58:27Speaker 1: I insisted that I do love my husband and that
- 58:30Speaker 1: affair I had was a mistake. She walked away smirking
- 58:34Speaker 1: and said, have a nice life. So I try to
- 58:38Speaker 1: fix our friendship so she won't tell my secret. Well,
- 58:42Speaker 1: I say no, because she's not your friend, and she's
- 58:45Speaker 1: not anyone that you need in your life right now.
- 58:47Speaker 1: I mean, you know, not with all the negative energy
- 58:50Speaker 1: she's got around her. I would stay as far away
- 58:53Speaker 1: from her as possible. I mean, you said, it's been
- 58:56Speaker 1: two years since you got married, got pregnant in more
- 58:59Speaker 1: than two years since the affair. I say, you're a
- 59:02Speaker 1: major mom with serious responsibilities now and what she's talking
- 59:07Speaker 1: about is petty and more than that, it's over. It's
- 59:10Speaker 1: done with, so continue to live your NonStop life like
- 59:14Speaker 1: you've been doing. This girl is bitter because you didn't
- 59:17Speaker 1: put her in your wedding, even though she said at
- 59:19Speaker 1: the time it was cool. You didn't ghost her. It's
- 59:22Speaker 1: just that your life changed so drastically after marriage. You
- 59:25Speaker 1: had a husband and a baby and very little time
- 59:28Speaker 1: for anything else. I think a real friend would have
- 59:31Speaker 1: understood that. But now she's threatening to use some two
- 59:35Speaker 1: year old before you were married affair against you, which
- 59:39Speaker 1: means she hasn't moved on and you have. She's still
- 59:42Speaker 1: upset and she hasn't forgiven you. I think she was
- 59:45Speaker 1: gonna If she was going to use this infosts, she
- 59:47Speaker 1: would have done it before now. And I just think
- 59:50Speaker 1: you need to, you know, keep it pushing, keep moving forward,
- 59:54Speaker 1: and let her stay behind where she needs to be
- 59:56Speaker 1: and out of your life.
- 59:57Speaker 7: Steve Well, Shirley's correct, But let me say this to you.
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: Let's just start with the subject keeping a secret always backfires.
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: One of my favorite lines, shit shit mouth all secrets.
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: That's why they call them a secret, because a lot
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: of people do keep secrets.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: There are a lot of secrets. That's secrets in the ocean.
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: Now.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: You can dive down there if you want.
- 1:00:29Speaker 7: You try to discover them, but you're gonna die because
- 1:00:35Speaker 7: there are secrets that you have to carry to your grave.
- 1:00:39Speaker 8: I have to.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: They're going with me.
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: I don't even have the urge to tell them. I
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: don't have like moments where my guilty bothering me and
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: stuff washing over me.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: I don't even have that.
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: What that's my secret that you in your late twenties.
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: You got married two years ago. Your HUDs were eleven
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: years old. You he had some erectile dysfunction before you
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: got married, so you was carefree. Y'all, didn't have sex
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: with three months and you just got horned. You went
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: to your ex hometown and ran up in your ex
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: boyfriend out of wedding, and all the feelings you had
- 1:01:14Speaker 7: for him came back, and then you had a fair
- 1:01:17Speaker 7: with him at the wedding before you was married.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: That's your secret. The problem is you ain't keeping the secret.
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: You told somebody I don't know what the hell you
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: told somebody folk, but you did, so you had the fire.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: For two months, he flew in to see me during
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: the week.
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: I would leave work and spend the afternoon with him
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: at different hotels. That boy was flying in bringing it.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: It was convenient.
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: Then he ghosted me without any explanation, and I was
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: deeply hurt. Well, you showed up at the wedding with
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: no explanation. You had fiance, You did something without explaining
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: to him, so he ghosted you.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Ain't no big deal. You were hurt. Here's the mistake
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: you made.
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: You confided in one of your closest friends, who we
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: will refer through to throughout the rest of this letter
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: as the skank. You you confided in your skank, you say,
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: as your closest friend, but we will refer to her
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: from the rest of this morning show as that skank,
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: the skank All.
- 1:02:35Speaker 8: Skank highlights number three.
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: Yeah, she kept it real with me and said I
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: needed to get over it and marry the man that's
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: in love with me. I got engaged in his close
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: friend wanted to be a bridesmaid, but I had to
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: choose my fiance sister instead of her. That's why you
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: made a mistake. And when we come back, I'll tell
- 1:02:57Speaker 7: you what you should have told your fiance.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: All right, we'll have part two of Steve's response coming
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: up at twenty three minutes after the hour of the
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: subject of today's Strawberry letter. Keeping a secret always backfires.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:03:48Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: and finish up with your response. Let's go.
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: This young woman in her twenties had a man eleven
- 1:03:57Speaker 7: years old say we're gonna get married. He experienced on
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: me ed and erectile dysfunction, and she needed to get
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: herself fixed. So she went to her ex boyfriend who
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: lived in another town.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: She was at a wed, ran up into him.
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: They had feelings and they had sex, and then she
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: ended up having her a fam for two months who
- 1:04:16Speaker 7: used to fly in town, and she leave work early,
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: go down to the hotel and get rached, you know,
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: and just things are just happening down there. The word
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: is ranched. You ain't ever been ranched before. I recommend
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: it happened before you die. It's very cleansing. So she
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: went out there and she got ranched, and just oh, oh,
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: you're ranching, just ranching off in new You know, it's
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: a it's a it's a derivative of rents.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: It's a country way of saying.
- 1:04:48Speaker 7: Wrist like you know, rint that out range, that out
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: range that means harder when you ranch it.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: It's harder.
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: If you get a wrench, that's one thing, but if
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: you get that ranch, that's a whole nother thing, you
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: know what I'm saying. So yet to do like that,
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: So now yeah, I'm just what we do here?
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: We educated So now.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: And so now.
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: You come back and he's been at that hotel take
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: care of business, and then out of nowhere, he ghosted you.
- 1:05:24Speaker 7: Why you were surprised about that, I don't know. And
- 1:05:27Speaker 7: you were deeply hurt. So you confide it in the skank.
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: You told skanky, and skank kept it real with you
- 1:05:40Speaker 7: and said I needed to get over it and married
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: a man that's in love with me. Now, skank was
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: right about that. Now, so you did what skank said.
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: I got engaged, and this skank wanted to be a bridesmaid,
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: but I had to choose my fiance sister instead of her.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: No, you did it. It is your wedding.
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: You let the fact that he was eleven years older
- 1:06:08Speaker 7: than you and his sister want to be in the
- 1:06:11Speaker 7: wind because she sang, I ain't never been in no wind.
- 1:06:13Speaker 7: You know, nobody never asked her to be in no win.
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: She want to be in the wind so she can
- 1:06:17Speaker 7: get in the line, catch the bouquet, because ain't nobody
- 1:06:20Speaker 7: fit to ask her ugly to marry her at tall
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: So she figured I know she ever because she forced
- 1:06:26Speaker 7: herself in the wedding. Ugly people always pushing themself in
- 1:06:30Speaker 7: weds and stuff. Uther people know how to barge in,
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: you know, keep people go oh, I'm not selecting. Okay,
- 1:06:35Speaker 7: well good luck, you know, but ugly people. Are you
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: gonna want me? I'm gonna tell my brother put me
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: in your wed. Now we have to get all this
- 1:06:43Speaker 7: extra fabric to make her dress. Now she down there
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: with meal. She'd had a special cut to put it
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: in the dress because she big. Now she got the
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: stomach out and both side panels out. She didn't even
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: look like rest of drides me. But anyway, she got
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: in the wed. Now, the problem you had was your
- 1:06:59Speaker 7: skin thought that she should be in the wed because
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: y'all was cool. This is what happens when you cool
- 1:07:06Speaker 7: with a scake. So skank told you she understood. I
- 1:07:11Speaker 7: was relieved, And to one of your other friends told
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: you that the skank was calling you a lucky bee
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: behind your back. I thought she was jealous because she
- 1:07:21Speaker 7: was single, so I let it slide. Then you got
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: pregnant on your wed at night, and your life is
- 1:07:27Speaker 7: non stop every since you ran into your skank. You
- 1:07:31Speaker 7: ran in the skank cat, let's give her name. You
- 1:07:33Speaker 7: ran up in the skank cat, skank kettle. You ran
- 1:07:37Speaker 7: up in the scan ketto and she was very bitter.
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: I went to hug and she pulled back. That's cause
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: she skanked. She said, I ghosted her after I got
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: everything I wanted, and my husband should know who I'm
- 1:07:54Speaker 7: really in love with. I insisted that I do love
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: my husband, that that affair was a mistake. She walked away,
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: smirking and said, have a nice life. Do I try
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: to fix our friendship so she won't tell my secret?
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: Sureley's absolutely correct, Absolutely not. You don't try to fix
- 1:08:11Speaker 7: this relationship with escape. This ain't your friend, she's escaped.
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: Why would you want to fix it with escape? What
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: you got to do is fix her. See stop being
- 1:08:21Speaker 7: the victim all the time. Naw, she's gonna threaten to
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: go to your husband with this news. Couple of things
- 1:08:27Speaker 7: you need to do. First of all, do what men done.
- 1:08:32Speaker 7: I mean, look just as surprised, Sureley, I want you
- 1:08:35Speaker 7: to be the girl coming to tell my husband what
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: you know. Start and I'm gonna show her how she.
- 1:08:41Speaker 6: Need to be.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Okay, Clarence, Hi, you remember me. I'm Betty your wife friend.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: I want it to be what you over here for
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Betty Well to come over because you know there's some
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: things about Betty that you don't know, and I wanted
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: to let you know that I know something about her
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: that I think you Yeah, I think you should know
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: this about her.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: Okay, No, we all need to tell something. Go ahead.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Well I don't I don't know anything about that. I
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: just know what I know.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: What is that?
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Well? You remember like there was a period of time
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: like three months before you guys got married where you
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: guys didn't have sex. You remember that? You don't remember that.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: You're trying to say Clas had d.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm trying to say Clarence had e D Clais.
- 1:09:37Speaker 18: How does Heffer? How does Heffer know you had I
- 1:09:40Speaker 18: E ed? That's healf fa No, you had e D

- 1:14:23Speaker 2: First.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: I can go visit him at her house, but I
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: can't stay overnight because he sleeps on the couch. His
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: mom is still number one in his life. And by
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: the way, nothing is wrong with mom. She's just a
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: self centered b Should I continue to patiently wait for
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: my husband to come home or should I call it
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: quits and get divorced?
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: Wow, I don't know. I don't know how you married.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, Surely she had known something right, You.

- 1:15:17Speaker 7: the couch and you can't spend the night over there
- 1:15:19Speaker 7: because she asked him to stay with her to December one.
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: What happens on December second? Yeah, I'm just trying to
- 1:15:30Speaker 7: figure out what happened.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: Well, he's supposed to come home to his wife, go
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: home to his wife. It's something else that's crazy.
- 1:15:40Speaker 7: But but but but she said that mamma ain't sick
- 1:15:43Speaker 7: of that. Ain't nothing wrong with him?
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, she said. She did say she's just a self
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: centered b though no strong.
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: Word she's a self centered b. Is that your husband
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: is a mama's boy.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Boy.
- 1:15:59Speaker 7: You done married this boy hoping he would be a man.
- 1:16:02Speaker 7: But it's hard to be your mama's boy and your
- 1:16:05Speaker 7: woman's man.
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: That's hard to do.
- 1:16:10Speaker 7: Do you need to hear that again? It's hard to
- 1:16:13Speaker 7: be your mama's boy and to become your woman's man
- 1:16:19Speaker 7: are two different requirements.
- 1:16:22Speaker 14: They never will go together.
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: They can't exist at the same time. You can't be
- 1:16:29Speaker 7: a boy and a man at the same time.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: You just can't.
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: It's impossible.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Yes, sir, So that's her question. Should she continually wait
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: patiently for her husband to come home or should she
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: call it quits and get divorced?
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: How long they been married, Shirley?
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Did she say they just got married last month? They
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: just got married last month?

- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, exactly if you.
- 1:16:55Speaker 7: Wait for him to come home. So I'm assuming home
- 1:16:58Speaker 7: is your house.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Uh M, she's not sick, she said, mom with the
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: mom nothing. She says, she's just a self centered be
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: wooh strong words. Wow. All right, moving on, we have
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: time for another one. This is from Deonce in Colombia.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: Deyonce writes, I did you say Beyonce, I said, Dionce,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: oh Deonce? Yeah. Deonce says, I am twenty four years
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: old and I love playing flag football. My dad has
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: a big problem with it. He said it's not girly
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: and he wants me to be in my soft girl era.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: He said, I'll never get a husband like this. But
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: why I keep my nails done, my wigs are always
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: on point, and I dress like a lady when I'm
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: not playing football. Why can't I switch it up and
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: get down and dirty on the football field? Is this
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: here's her question? Is this a turnoff for men?
- 1:17:57Speaker 7: Well, Deonce, let me explain some tea. If your name
- 1:18:03Speaker 7: is gonna be Deonce?
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: Okay, right there?
- 1:18:06Speaker 7: Uh huh, two things. Let me just say this. You
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: wasn't fine enough for them to name your Beyonce?
- 1:18:14Speaker 13: You know what?
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: No, I don't do that.
- 1:18:17Speaker 7: So I'm assuming there's gonna be a serious drop off.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: She says, she keeps her nails done, and her wigs
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: are always on point, and she dresses like a lady.
- 1:18:29Speaker 7: Yeah, but she played football though. Now we need to
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: find out what position, because now it's gonna take.
- 1:18:38Speaker 6: Now.
- 1:18:38Speaker 7: If she ain't got no flag, then we know what's happening.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Is this a turnoff for men that's blocking?
- 1:18:45Speaker 7: Well, you know, if you play defensive end on the
- 1:18:48Speaker 7: flag football team, it's a it's a it's a turnoff
- 1:18:51Speaker 7: for me.
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: And your name Deonce.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: So coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll

- 1:25:46Speaker 9: the career, you got everything. Why are you still striving
- 1:25:50Speaker 9: this hard at your age?
- 1:25:52Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:25:52Speaker 8: People your age is not doing what you're doing.

- 1:26:01Speaker 7: really know another way to be. I was thinking about
- 1:26:04Speaker 7: this the other day. I just don't know. I was
- 1:26:10Speaker 7: talking to my wife the other day. She said, you
- 1:26:13Speaker 7: know what it is about you, Steve. You just don't
- 1:26:16Speaker 7: know how to go no where and sit down. I
- 1:26:19Speaker 7: just don't, man, I really really don't. I don't know
- 1:26:23Speaker 7: what I would do if I wasn't striving. I really
- 1:26:29Speaker 7: really don't know what I would do if I wasn't
- 1:26:34Speaker 7: striving and trying to accomplish. Because I have made that
- 1:26:38Speaker 7: such a way of life. It's habit for me, and
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: it's just a habit. I would recommend the habit to
- 1:26:49Speaker 7: people if you want to accomplish some things, whatever that is.
- 1:26:55Speaker 7: It's not to be me. That's not what I'm saying.
- 1:26:58Speaker 7: It's to accomplish whatever it is is you want to
- 1:27:01Speaker 7: do at one point in time. I'm telling you right now,
- 1:27:06Speaker 7: in order to get to where you want to be,
- 1:27:08Speaker 7: you're gonna have to be relentless. You're going to have
- 1:27:12Speaker 7: to be relentless. You're going to have to be dogmatic.
- 1:27:18Speaker 7: You're going to have to be unstoppable, and you have
- 1:27:24Speaker 7: to be unbeatable. I know people who have set out
- 1:27:29Speaker 7: to defeat me. I know them. I know them personally.
- 1:27:35Speaker 7: I know people who have.
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: Who have put together schemes to defeat me.
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: I know people who I've never had a real conversation
- 1:27:47Speaker 7: with go online and openly say they gonna destroy me.
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: I had a guy one night told me and saying,
- 1:27:55Speaker 7: I'm going to destroy your whole comedy career. He told
- 1:27:59Speaker 7: it to me. I just looked at him. But you
- 1:28:04Speaker 7: know what he didn't understand. I'm unbeatable. You cannot beat
- 1:28:12Speaker 7: me because of two reasons. Number one, I have God
- 1:28:18Speaker 7: on my side, and number two, I ain't gonna quit.
- 1:28:25Speaker 7: So now what you're finna do what you're finna do
- 1:28:29Speaker 7: to me? How you gonna beat me? When number one,
- 1:28:33Speaker 7: I have God on my side, God is with me.
- 1:28:38Speaker 7: If God is.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: With you, who can be against you? Now? You can
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: say you against me if you want to.
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: But I must forewarn you when you come over here
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: to get me, I ain't by myself.
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: Now. I'm just gonna give you that warning.
- 1:28:51Speaker 7: You come over here to get me, I ain't by
- 1:28:54Speaker 7: myself now, as long as I keep that theory in mind. Now,
- 1:28:58Speaker 7: every now and then i'm human, I get out there,
- 1:29:02Speaker 7: and I get in the way of the God in me.
- 1:29:04Speaker 7: I will I take some matters into my own hands.
- 1:29:08Speaker 7: Sometimes I've done that before. It didn't really work out right,
- 1:29:13Speaker 7: but I've done that. But you can't beat me.
- 1:29:19Speaker 6: My head is blooded.
- 1:29:21Speaker 7: But unbowed. I will never ever quit. Do you understand me?
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: My head is bloodied, unbowed man, out of the night
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: that covers me, black as the pit, from pole to pole.
- 1:29:39Speaker 7: I think, whatever God may be for my unconquerable soul.
- 1:29:43Speaker 7: In the fail clutch of circumstance, I have not winced
- 1:29:47Speaker 7: nor cried aloud under the bludgeonings of chance. My head
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: is bloodied beyond, but unbowed beyond this place of raft
- 1:29:57Speaker 7: in tears looms but the horror of the shade. And
- 1:30:01Speaker 7: yet the menace of the years finds and shall find
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: me unafraid. It matters not how straight the gate, how
- 1:30:10Speaker 7: charged with punishment the scroll. I am the captain of
- 1:30:15Speaker 7: my faith. I am the master of my soul. I
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: am the master of my faith. I am the captain
- 1:30:21Speaker 7: of my soul. Invictis, Lord, have mercy. I can't tell
- 1:30:30Speaker 7: you how many times that poem that kept me, and
- 1:30:33Speaker 7: that ain't even a scripture, But if you understand, it
- 1:30:37Speaker 7: got a lot of God in it. Yeah, Man, I
- 1:30:41Speaker 7: don't bruh. I don't know how to be no other way.
- 1:30:47Speaker 7: I just don't, Junior. I don't know what I would
- 1:30:49Speaker 7: do if I wasn't striving. I'm just cut like that,
- 1:30:57Speaker 7: and I thank God. But it's a practice. You have
- 1:31:00Speaker 7: to practice being this way. You're not born this way.
- 1:31:03Speaker 7: It's a choice you have to make. You know, you're
- 1:31:08Speaker 7: not born to be relentless. You are born to make choices.
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: Everybody gets to decide. Everybody you can decide I'm gonna
- 1:31:21Speaker 7: be a positive person, I'm be a negative person. You
- 1:31:24Speaker 7: can change your mind in the middle of your life
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: and go the other way. I know some people man
- 1:31:28Speaker 7: that used to be such positive people, and now every
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: time you hear them something negative coming out, they mouth,
- 1:31:34Speaker 7: that's a decision they made. I make the decision to
- 1:31:39Speaker 7: be positive. I choose to be relentless. I choose to
- 1:31:44Speaker 7: be in pursuit of my vision and dreams. And I
- 1:31:49Speaker 7: choose to keep God at the forefront of my life
- 1:31:53Speaker 7: because without God, I would be nothing.
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: And that is as clear as a way.
