Latest / Mindful You / Unlocking The Magic of Self-Transformation: The Huna Philosophy And The Power Of Pattern Recognition, Forgiveness, And Thought Energy With Tina Erwin
Transcript
- 0:00Alan Carroll: Hello, everybody. Welcome back to the mindful you
- 0:06podcast. I'm Alan Carroll. I'm your host. And today I
- 0:13interviewed Tina, Erwin. And Tina is a psychic. Meaning that
- 0:25there's the physical world and the metaphysical world. And she
- 0:31is able to go back and forth from the physical world to the
- 0:40metaphysical world. And for the last studied metaphysics for
- 0:49gaining insight into mystical Worlds of Magic, spirituality.
- 0:55She's written eight books on metaphysics. And her writings
- 1:00come from a intense desire to know and understand the hard
- 1:06science, not the woowoo science, but the hard science, behind the
- 1:12unseen world of action and reaction, combined with his
- 1:17sincere desire to share this understanding with other
- 1:21knowledge seekers. And so that's part of her biography. Another
- 1:28part of her biography is, she was an officer in the United
- 1:33States, submarine, Navy sub submarines for 20 years. She was
- 1:40one of the first female officers on submarines. And she said,
- 1:46often, she would notice that a lot of the decisions that were
- 1:53made by captains are sometimes intuitive, not by the book, like
- 2:00they were able to connect with something greater than
- 2:03themselves. So she combines that military discipline and show me
- 2:08facts. And she combines that and marries it to the metaphysical,
- 2:13wonderful, healer, wonderful insights. And so it is just
- 2:21exciting to be able to have her on on the show, and for her to
- 2:26be able to share her wisdom from years and years of experience.
- 2:32So please welcome Tina Irwin to the mindful you, podcast. Thank
- 2:38you. Tina, welcome to the podcast. Thank
- 2:47Tina Erwin: you so much, Alan, for having me. I'm really
- 2:49delighted to be here.
- 2:51Alan Carroll: Oh, the opportunity of having a
- 2:54conversation with someone who has such rich experiences is a
- 3:01gift. And in our conversation we had before, we were talking
- 3:08about the importance of of the discipline. And that came from
- 3:11our conversation of you being a career military officer. So you
- 3:16have that background and just like to jump a little bit into
- 3:20your background, and then sort of let our audience feel a
- 3:25little bit of the evolution that you've gone through that has
- 3:28brought you to where you are right now and this level of
- 3:31awareness and consciousness.
- 3:34Unknown: Well, thank you for that opportunity. I joined the
- 3:38Navy in 1972. Because you really couldn't get hired at a decent
- 3:45salary. You know, I graduated with a degree in Industrial
- 3:49Relations, and nobody would hire me. And I didn't want to be a
- 3:53martyr. Martyrs lead a really awful life. And I wanted to have
- 3:56some fun. And so I thought, gee, I'll see if I can join the Navy.
- 4:02And I did. I was their first female officer and in a really,
- 4:07really long time from the state of North Carolina where I was
- 4:09living. And my first day at my first duty station, I met my
- 4:14husband, and we were both stationed at submarine base, New
- 4:19London, and I received it for all the crypto gear for all six
- 4:23CDA class new construction submarines. And then eventually,
- 4:27I was the first female officer in the history of submarine
- 4:29school. I taught the sealed authenticator system which tells
- 4:33the commanding officer of a submarine how to authenticate
- 4:37the message that says to launch a missile. So the Navy provides
- 4:42you with an astonishing amount of responsibility really, really
- 4:46early. And you get to meet some of the most remarkable men you
- 4:53could ever imagine. real patriots. People who care
- 4:57brilliant, brilliant minds. And I mean, if you're pretty weak,
- 5:01they just eat you for lunch. So I had a blast. And I learned
- 5:09that when you are on a submarine, you have to feel the
- 5:17ship. It doesn't matter whether it's a submarine or a surface
- 5:21ship. These are men who have gut instincts. And it's those gut
- 5:27instincts that save lives. They, these are men who listen to
- 5:34something, they wouldn't call it a higher self, or they don't
- 5:38have a fancy name. But it's the same thing. And I have a deep
- 5:45and abiding respect for these men, including my own husband,
- 5:49just spent 42 years at Sei. And these men would tell you, I had
- 5:55a bad feeling about this, or I knew something was gonna happen.
- 5:59And some of them told me, some of them actually saved. i
- 6:03There's one astonishing story where this guy saved 129 lives,
- 6:09because he listened to something that was not quantifiable. And
- 6:15he changed history. And when you are observing these things, you
- 6:21don't go oh, well, that's neat. You go, but wait a minute. That
- 6:24is amazing. These aren't psychic guys, they would never use such
- 6:29a term. And I, I wouldn't use that term with them. I would
- 6:35respect that they had a feeling and that they, they paid
- 6:41attention to it. I had one captain of a submarine knew I'd
- 6:43known for years and years. I mean, I, I made friends with all
- 6:47these guys. Because they taught me so many things. Gosh, I mean,
- 6:51when a school house. And he said, You know, I knew my
- 6:57navigator was bad. I did everything in my power to remove
- 7:00him from my ship. I told Admiral Rickover, I documented it. And
- 7:06when we hit that Russian submarine, I had a bad feeling
- 7:10something was gonna happen. And so when you start listening to
- 7:15what these men experienced, you know, without saying, Oh, well,
- 7:20I don't know if I believe that, instead of discounting it. You
- 7:25listen on another level. And you learn how, when you deliberately
- 7:32submerge a billion dollar vessel with 100, between 125 to 150
- 7:39lives depending on whether it's a fast attack or ballistic
- 7:42missile submarine. You had better know what you're doing.
- 7:46You could better feel your crew. What is that if it's not a
- 7:52spiritual part of you, that is not quantifiable. And so that's
- 7:58what got me started. I've always been a psychic person from the
- 8:02time I was a little kid. It's not like you're running around
- 8:05talking about it, especially in the military, people think
- 8:07you're crazy. But there are, there are a lot of really,
- 8:12really intuitive human beings that are in the military. And
- 8:17one of the most famous was a General George C. Patton.
- 8:23Patton, frequently spoke to God, Patton had Patton had amazing
- 8:28experiences. And I am a student of history. And when you look at
- 8:34the how so many of these men in horrendous situations, called
- 8:40upon God, not spirit, but God, God, please help me in this
- 8:47moment. It is amazing. I also studied survivors, I studied the
- 8:55stories of survivors of the Holocaust, and World War Two.
- 9:00And when I, there were some of those, especially men who were
- 9:05futurists, they had to believe there was going to be a future
- 9:11beyond the moment they were in. And they held on so tight to
- 9:18that spiritual future. They survived when others gave up and
- 9:25died of depression, loneliness, and terror because the Nazis
- 9:30were terrifying. Have a frog in my boots voice?
- 9:37Alan Carroll: No worries. No worries. Take a breath.
- 9:43Unknown: Ah, so that's how I got started on this path because I'm
- 9:50a person who studies everything. How does the submarine work? How
- 9:54does the mind work? And my mother worked for a psychiatrist
- 9:59for seven years. And she discussed every single case with
- 10:01me when I was in high school. So I have a somewhat unusual
- 10:07background, which really benefited me in the Navy.
- 10:12Because I could, I could quickly identify a variety of different
- 10:16types of character disorders. And or whether or not someone
- 10:21was psychotic and whether or not they were dangerous. So that
- 10:24when I referred them to, you know, a professional, you know,
- 10:29in a military hospital, I could speak a language, that would
- 10:32mean I would be taken seriously. And this person would receive
- 10:36the help that they needed. The military is only about people.
- 10:42And it's only about how people relate to a belief in
- 10:46themselves. And if you have no belief, beyond that, there's
- 10:51nothing else but this, there is a loneliness that pervades the
- 10:55soul. And I, I began to see that and what the military gives
- 11:01people is a belief in something greater than yourself.
- 11:08corporations can't do that. People who have private
- 11:12businesses or consulting firms or private practice, they
- 11:17believe in something more than themselves, especially their
- 11:19clients. I have a lot of private clients than when when you are
- 11:29part of a team and I love that I love my wardroom I loved I had
- 11:33150 men work for me at any given time. Sometimes I had a lot of
- 11:37women too, but mostly it was just men. And they had the same
- 11:44problems that anybody else has. They had an illness in the
- 11:47family or their wife had a problem or somebody has an
- 11:49alcoholic or there's a drug problem, or they were sexually
- 11:53abused or fill in the blank. And what they need, it isn't
- 12:00necessarily a military solution. It's a human solution. And I'll
- 12:06give you one of my favorite examples. I was executive
- 12:10officer for a submarine training facility in San Diego. And we
- 12:15had this guy who's a big guy. I mean, he had muscles, he had the
- 12:19slips his sleeves. He's such a big man, who's our sailor of the
- 12:23quarter. He just beat the bejesus out of his wife. Well,
- 12:28we sent him to anger management school, we sent him to
- 12:32psychiatric care, and we did all of these things. So one day, he
- 12:37comes in, he sits at my desk and he says, Commander, what's the
- 12:41big deal? So I beat my wife, nobody's perfect. And, and the
- 12:48female in me, wanted to just reach out and strangle him. That
- 12:51would be the that's the truth.
- 12:56But the better part of me sat back. He wasn't being
- 13:01disrespectful to me. In that moment, he was honest. And I
- 13:10said, petty officer, whatever your name is, did your daddy
- 13:13beat you?
- 13:14He said, Yes, ma'am. He beat me every day, but good. And I said,
- 13:19Did your grandfather beat your dad? Yes, ma'am. Hey, Tam, his
- 13:24huddle. He used to tell me how badly he was beaten. And then I
- 13:29waited, you know, you know, way to beat and he looked at me and
- 13:32he said, Doesn't everybody get beaten when they grow up? I
- 13:39said, No, it's called assault. And if somebody beat your wife
- 13:43on the street, like you beat her, they will be put in prison
- 13:47for assault. And if you continue to beat your wife, and you have
- 13:51an adorable little girl, for 1000 years, your family will
- 13:57continue to beat each other. Unless you have the power and
- 14:00the courage to change. And I can send you to 1000 schools, but
- 14:05that change has to come from inside of you. You have to want
- 14:09to change the future for 1000 years. Do you have the courage
- 14:14and the strength within you to do that? And he looked at me and
- 14:19he blinked and he said I I never looked at it that way. Nobody
- 14:25ever explained it like that. Why did they ever talk to me like
- 14:27that? I said, I don't know. But I I can hear you. I can hear
- 14:34that you're not a bad man. You're just part of a pattern.
- 14:39And it's the bad pattern that has to be changed. So if you
- 14:44separate the goodness of the person from the pattern, then
- 14:50you give the individual the opportunity to save enough face
- 14:55to be able to change. Now I would love to tell you that he
- 14:59never He his wife again. But two weeks later, he got transferred.
- 15:03And I don't know what happened. But I like to believe that
- 15:06perhaps in that moment, something shifted for him. So
- 15:12that's how I got started on all this.
- 15:14Alan Carroll: That's a That's a beautiful story. tears coming to
- 15:24my eyes very, very beautiful. You, you said the ability to
- 15:32separate yourself from the pattern. Let's talk about the
- 15:38level of awareness, you have to be to have the realization that
- 15:43you're in a pattern in order to separate yourself from the
- 15:46pattern.
- 15:52Unknown: I liken it to having a starfish on your forehead like
- 15:56this. You have a starfish on your face, you're so used to
- 16:01looking around the arms of the starfish, you can't see it's
- 16:06kind of sucking you dry. So you need someone outside of yourself
- 16:11to come up and say, excuse me, you got a starfish on your head?
- 16:15Can I help you with it? Let's take it off and and put it down
- 16:19over here. Now what's your view like? Oh my gosh, I can see so
- 16:24much better. And if I work with a client, I help them go back
- 16:32and back and back to understand the longevity of the pattern,
- 16:43what their victimization and or role is in the pattern and what
- 16:50steps they can take to change it. And this is spiritual
- 16:57progress. Because many times a pattern has gone on for
- 17:02lifetimes I do past life regressions do. People are
- 17:07murdered by the same person life after life. They're raped by the
- 17:10same person life after life after life. I studied Edith
- 17:13theories work and Raymond Moody and Bruce Kohlberg. All these
- 17:17amazing people. When you look at what that historical foundation
- 17:25is, we can change our future if we can create an awareness that
- 17:34we have that power
- 17:37Alan Carroll: can create, we can change the future if we have
- 17:39awareness that we have the power, the power to do what
- 17:43Unknown: the power to recognize the pattern, and then change it.
- 17:49So
- 17:50Alan Carroll: to be able to recognize something going on in
- 17:54this moment of now requires you to be able to be a space between
- 17:59you and the something that you're that you're looking at.
- 18:02Unknown: That's correct. Okay. And it also requires someone to
- 18:08gently point out that what you thought was real, might have a
- 18:18different interpretation. And I've had so many clients who are
- 18:23so abused, I have a lot of women who never had children, because
- 18:27they were so horribly sexually abused that they, they needed to
- 18:31heal themselves. So I give them a great deal of credit for not
- 18:37wanting to perpetrate additional abuse on a child when they
- 18:40hadn't healed themselves. Because the subconscious of an
- 18:43individual is frozen at their earliest trauma. That's a really
- 18:51powerful statement, which I have been working with the
- 18:54subconscious of, you know, 1000s of clients. If the subconscious
- 18:58of a person is frozen at the age of their earliest trauma, and
- 19:02I'll use my father as an example. When my father was six,
- 19:08his father went to Paris for the National Exhibition or the Paris
- 19:13World's Fair. And he died there. So his father died, he never saw
- 19:19him again. His mother came to America to set up shop, and he
- 19:25was given to his grandmother who beat him every day. My father
- 19:30was frozen at the age of seven. He didn't have either parent for
- 19:36a long time, and the grandparent he had was abusive. And he was a
- 19:44child in a big body, so much of his life. And God bless him. He
- 19:51tried, he really tried. And the insecurity he felt was so
- 20:00difficult to overcome. He's one of the one of the things we all
- 20:04have to understand is the impact our parents have on us. There
- 20:07are no perfect parents. I love Mitch albums book, the five
- 20:10people you meet in heaven. And in the early stages of his book,
- 20:15he says all parents damaged their children. Just some
- 20:17parents do it worse than others. I'm sure you've heard of Mitch,
- 20:21remarkable author. I read a lot of authors. And it's everyone
- 20:26offers you something.
- 20:28Alan Carroll: That's right. That's right.
- 20:30Unknown: And when I'm, I look at my father, or I look at the
- 20:35things that happened to my mother, and they they were in
- 20:38resonance with each other. She was abused as a child, her
- 20:42father was horribly abusive. Her mother was a private duty nurse,
- 20:46and she was always gone. So here you have two people who were
- 20:50abused, they had the same resonant frequency of somewhat
- 20:54of abuse. Now they're married. They did not abuse their four
- 21:00children, for which I am truly grateful. I didn't mean we had
- 21:05perfect childhoods. But to their credit, they really, really
- 21:09tried to provide us with better childhoods than they had You
- 21:14bet. And so to a degree, they were able to separate what
- 21:22happened to them for perpetrating it on all of us.
- 21:28And isn't that the hope each of us have, when we have children
- 21:32will, we'll be able to provide more or better or more stable
- 21:37for our children than we had. So when I'm working with a client,
- 21:46especially someone who has been abused, and sexual abuse is the
- 21:50Hmong, the most hideous and if we're going to talk metaphysics,
- 21:55sexual abuse is an initiation into the dark side. Because it
- 21:59is a it is a power center in the body. And if you study all of
- 22:06the elements that come with metaphysics, you also have it's
- 22:11like a doctor has to look at germs, bacteria, viruses, and
- 22:15mold. How do they infiltrate the body? And what's the long term
- 22:21effect? The long term effect of child abuse, especially sexual
- 22:27abuse, is that it separates the child from their higher self. It
- 22:36separates the subconscious is the gatekeeper to higher self.
- 22:42If you have frozen that subconscious at the age of that
- 22:45hideous trauma, that subconscious sometimes hides,
- 22:51very difficult for that subconscious then to connect to
- 22:54higher self. Because the subconscious is the gatekeeper.
- 23:00And this was astonishing to me, because I, you know, I work
- 23:03with, I help people understand they have a conscious and
- 23:06subconscious and superconscious. And if you want to be on the
- 23:10spiritual path, you have to know how to contact your
- 23:13superconscious your higher self. This is some great mystical
- 23:18thing. Not really, it's much more straightforward. I mean, it
- 23:24doesn't have to be mystical. I mean, you can make it mystical.
- 23:26But if you're really honest, it's pretty straightforward. And
- 23:33the process I use goes back to a tradition that goes back to the
- 23:39original 12 tribes, which is Hoonah. Have you ever heard of
- 23:43Hoonah? Ah, una? No. I actually brought this book. It's called
- 23:50Hoonah. A Beginner's Guide by Enid Hoffman. I don't know what
- 23:56beginner she's talking about, because this is not for the
- 23:58faint hearted. But one of my teachers introduced me to
- 24:03Hoonah. There is only one sin in the Hoonah tradition, which is a
- 24:08Hawaiian tradition, the great Kahuna. It goes all the way back
- 24:16to the original, some of the original beings on the planet.
- 24:22And the laws that they set down for human beings to follow to
- 24:27lead happy and prosperous lives, included the element of
- 24:32spirituality, and continuing to connect to the higher self and
- 24:38our connections to God. I'm not a person who uses the word
- 24:42spirit. Spirit is alcohol. If you're going to if you're going
- 24:47to connect, be specific. So in the Hoonah tradition, there's
- 24:52only one sin and that's hurting one of the three selves, your
- 24:56conscious, your subconscious and your superconscious. If you
- 25:00You're constantly saying I'm dumb, I'm stupid. You know, I
- 25:05knew a mom who was constantly telling her a little girl, she
- 25:07was a fatty, she was a little hippo, she's a baby elephant. So
- 25:10the girl was enormous. She grew up to be what her mother
- 25:14believed about her. And when the conscious self can't see itself
- 25:22as, as whole, perfect and complete, that's a problem. The
- 25:27job of the subconscious is to keep you alive, your eyes,
- 25:30blink, your heartbeat, the blood to flow. And the conscious self
- 25:36develops all the plans for your life, I'm going to go do this,
- 25:42I'm going to go do that. But you don't get very far unless you
- 25:45have a relationship with your subconscious. And one of the
- 25:50things I teach clients is how to build that relationship with
- 25:53their subconscious. Your subconscious helps you remember
- 25:58things, your subconscious warns you don't do that. And as you
- 26:02begin to honor that part of you that unsung hero inside of you,
- 26:09you get this door opening to the light of the Divine and higher
- 26:14cell. As you engage in more prayer, this is outside the
- 26:20confines of religion and dogma and scripture, this is the most
- 26:26basic element of the priesthood of all believers, you should be
- 26:31able to pray to God without an intermediary, that thank you,
- 26:36Martin Luther for that. And when a client is able to understand
- 26:42that they have that power, and you have reinvigorated their
- 26:47subconscious, and you've worked to heal their conscious self,
- 26:52then the client can begin to make some powerful changes. Not
- 26:57everyone can do that, it requires a great deal of insight
- 27:00and willingness to face some really tough things. But if you
- 27:05can do it, you can change your life
- 27:12Alan Carroll: so so rich, so rich, like eating cake. Very,
- 27:17very rich, and also very, very clear. It's I liked I liked the
- 27:20clarity of your of your speaking about something that's abstract,
- 27:24that's really a, it's really a gift to be able to frame it in
- 27:28different ways. And I, I, I'm a big fan of the creating the
- 27:37buffer zone of space. And to me, the creation of space requires
- 27:43you to have to take something out in order to create the
- 27:47space. And so that's the but the key is observation of what what
- 27:55that something is outside of the pattern. And my favorite movie
- 28:00is the is the matrix one where they use the red pill in order
- 28:05to get Neo outside of the thought of the matrix to wake
- 28:10up. And to me waking up is like a lucid dream. Where you dream
- 28:17at night dream a dream a dream and then once in a while home
- 28:21you wake up in the dream and that was a altering of
- 28:27consciousness that was just gave me tingles, I always thought
- 28:32it'd be nice to have lucid dreams and I when you were
- 28:35talking about the the captain of the ship, intuitively, I use the
- 28:41word intuitively sensing something beyond the physical
- 28:45reality of logic to me it's the more still you become in
- 28:51speaking the more still you become physically the calmer you
- 28:57are and it's like the leaves are settling down and the wind is no
- 29:02longer blowing and things are settling and settling down and
- 29:07and then that to me creates a word curtain comes up in my
- 29:13mind's eye a curtain between myself and the the metaphysical
- 29:17that curtain begins to fade away and in my ego seems to fade away
- 29:20to as I as I shift from that and when I was reading your bio i i
- 29:26was i want to do talk about the black magic and the white magic
- 29:31and and you also you introduced it a little bit earlier saying
- 29:36the dark side the the child sexual molestation of children
- 29:40is is part of the dark the dark side. And so I'd like to just
- 29:45hear you talk a little bit about white magic and black magic.
- 29:50Unknown: Well, all thought is energy. Basically all thought is
- 29:57a form of magic because it's it crea ate? What do you think you
- 30:03create? And what's
- 30:10Alan Carroll: going on? I know you want to go slow on that one.
- 30:13That was like a home run. So I want to I want to make sure
- 30:15people understood that was this a home run? Go ahead and spend
- 30:20some more time.
- 30:22Unknown: When you are thinking about something, it is part of a
- 30:26creative process. I started with a remarkable man named Dr.
- 30:32Abraham Kareem. He was the founder of biogeometry. I just
- 30:36adore this man. And he talked about creation. In a way I'd
- 30:44never heard anyone discuss it. I'm an art freak, I have
- 30:49hundreds and hundreds of paintings. And there is a
- 30:53creative element to all of the art that surrounds me. And what
- 30:58Dr. Karim explained, and I am trying to be really careful, I
- 31:02give credit to the people whose original idea of was. So if
- 31:06someone wants to look it up, they are certainly welcome.
- 31:09Don't just believe me, do your own due diligence. When you
- 31:15create, you connect to God. My father was a furniture designer.
- 31:22And when he was designing beautiful furniture he would
- 31:26have on Mozart and Chopin and Schumann and Bach, Beethoven,
- 31:31because the frequency of the music, it's like it opened up
- 31:35the pathways for him to feel the divine, live within him. And he
- 31:40created beautiful things. And when that happened, he was an
- 31:47amazing designer. And so when I look at every piece of art I
- 31:52have on the wall, whether it's a photograph, or a painting, or
- 31:56sculpture or bronze, the artist is sharing with me their
- 32:02connection to the divine, that thought that creation is divine.
- 32:12And the more beautiful it is, the higher the frequency.
- 32:17There's a whole dissertation on frequency. And when you are
- 32:22thinking, your thoughts, program, your cells, and the
- 32:29person who did the work on this, who also worked with Dr. Karim,
- 32:33briefly, was Dr. Masaru, Emoto, who wrote messages from water.
- 32:38And Dr. Emoto proved that words impact the water in our cells.
- 32:48And when we say You are beautiful, or your work is
- 32:51wonderful, or I love you, the cell, the water in the cells is
- 32:57charged with light. But when someone says I hate you, or
- 33:02they're abusing you, or it's a terrible word, Dr. Emoto proved
- 33:08that it causes a distortion of the water molecules. This is
- 33:13about as hard science as you're going to ever get. So all
- 33:18thought is energy. How am I doing so far? Oh, I
- 33:21Alan Carroll: love it. I use the paintbrush on the canvas, trying
- 33:28to explain that if I can control the thoughts, I control the
- 33:31paintbrush that paints the 35 millimeter slide that then I
- 33:35project onto the reality in which I'm looking at. And that's
- 33:38exactly right. Yep. So go I'm right with you. I love it.
- 33:43Unknown: Well, when you are creating a thought, If all
- 33:50you've ever heard as a child are negative things. And one woman
- 33:55who was just her father beat her every day, she was six one, the
- 33:59tall, she's beautiful woman just tall. And I do a group. I did it
- 34:07for years, a monthly group called Light times and we would
- 34:09come and discuss metaphysical topics. And I wrote all the
- 34:12handout I wrote 70 different notes for all different topics.
- 34:18And as she was leaving, I heard this voice say ask her if she
- 34:21wants an appointment and and I kept my foot on the line of
- 34:25spiritual law because you can't tell somebody they need to have
- 34:29an appointment with you. But someone said, If she leaves,
- 34:33she'll kill herself. You have to say something. They said, Have
- 34:38you have you ever considered maybe we should work together? I
- 34:40have an opening next week and she said yes. Yes. Oh, I would
- 34:46love to do that. said okay. And she went home. She didn't kill
- 34:51herself at night. And she told me that was her plan let him
- 34:54years later. And in this woman's story, she had been so abused by
- 35:00her father, he was this horrible, horrible man. And
- 35:03she'd been to I don't know how many different people for help.
- 35:08And they all told her her husband was the problem. So I
- 35:13asked her if I could speak to her husband, and she adored him.
- 35:18He was the sweetest, kindest man. And I just didn't
- 35:20understand why everyone kept saying he was the problem. He
- 35:22wasn't. Her father and her mother were the problem. And I,
- 35:28when we're sitting, talking face to face, I asked her, I said,
- 35:34when your father beat you, what did your mother do? She didn't
- 35:39say anything. And they said, when your father was beating
- 35:43your sister into mental retardation because of Shaken
- 35:47Baby Syndrome, which he did, which he should have been sent
- 35:50to prison for assault, what did your mother do? She just stood
- 35:54there. When I was crying in the closet, she would come and stand
- 35:59over me and say, I must have deserved it. Because that's why
- 36:02he beat me. I said, Did she ever once comfort you in any way? No,
- 36:08she'd leave him sometimes. But we'd always come back. I grew to
- 36:12be six foot one, and he couldn't beat me anymore, because I was
- 36:15taller than he was. And only then, but he leaves me alone. I
- 36:21was covered with black and blue marks. And this principal and
- 36:25the teacher were horrified. But my mother begged them not to say
- 36:29anything. And then he just kept beating me. And I said, I need
- 36:35and she said, you know, and I just love my mother so much. And
- 36:39I so I, I'm going to kind of break this bubble a little bit.
- 36:42Problem is not your husband. And ironically, it's not your
- 36:46father. Your mother is the biggest abuser because it's the
- 36:51sin of omission. She stood there and watched him brutalize two
- 36:57children. And she did nothing, absolutely nothing to defend
- 37:03you. And she always came back for the abuse. Your mother is
- 37:10the largest abuser. And I have a feeling you've been angry at her
- 37:15for a really long time. And it's like, you know, I pulled a
- 37:20little thing out of the dam, and bam, all this emotion came out.
- 37:27And I said, Do you have any photographs of your father as a
- 37:31child? She said, I do. I don't do this with every client. But I
- 37:37did it with her. She brought all of her family photos. So we went
- 37:41back a couple generations, and we look at the children. And we
- 37:45can identify the date, the age, they all all of the abuse
- 37:49started because I said do you see it in their faces? This is
- 37:53generational. And it's wrong. All of this is wrong. What they
- 37:59did to you was wrong. She said really? And and then I did this
- 38:05odd thing. I said, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, this happened to
- 38:11you. You didn't deserve those things. And again, it's like I
- 38:15pushed a button and the tears came. I want you to know I think
- 38:20you are the finest, most wonderful person, the sweetest,
- 38:24kindest person and you didn't beat your children did you know
- 38:28and I said, and you're such a good person that you married the
- 38:32finest husband, you could have married, he's been with you.
- 38:35He's been loyal and true to you. And it hasn't been easy. And
- 38:41it's just this acknowledgement of how hard it's been for her.
- 38:47It's just feeling that she could be loved. And that what her
- 38:52mother did was not love. It was the worst abuse. She never stood
- 39:01up to him. And I said that was your mother's challenge. That
- 39:05was one of the biggest things she was here to do in this
- 39:07lifetime. She just didn't choose to do it. She didn't choose to
- 39:13take that opportunity. That is not your fault. You gave her
- 39:18ample opportunities. And so did your sister who's now in a group
- 39:21Oh, because she, her brain is fried. And you have been a loyal
- 39:28sister to her. And we resolved so many issues. There were
- 39:36lawsuits or all these horrible things and one by one. As she
- 39:40healed all these other separate little things began to heal.
- 39:45Slowly but surely. In an age time, I would remind her because
- 39:51it was the truth. I'm not making this up. She's a really good
- 39:55person. She was a wonderful wife, a loving mother A genuine
- 40:01friend. And as she began, it's like I'm healing all those
- 40:06little water molecules inside of her with the gentleness of
- 40:10words. Her husband had been trying to do it. He needed
- 40:16someone in his court and he and I started to work together, like
- 40:22a, a combined action. And their marriage became significantly
- 40:29better. Her happiness became better. They began to go out to
- 40:34do different things, and she did not ever kill herself. And that
- 40:42sounds like a small accomplishment, but for her to
- 40:45have live for her to live a whole life. And she said to me,
- 40:52do I have to forgive them, and I said, I'm not the forgiveness
- 40:56place. Forgiveness, calm, comes at a moment in time, when you're
- 41:04ready, you can't order it, you can't legislate it. It has to
- 41:08happen at a time and place that works for you. The Jews forgave
- 41:15the Nazis, because they said it set them free. They weren't
- 41:18forever the prisoner of the Nazis. But they didn't forget.
- 41:23And that's a key point, just because forgiveness isn't a free
- 41:27pass, oh, well, I forgive you. So you could do it again, and
- 41:29understand what that means, means you set yourself free,
- 41:33what that person did earn them the karma of their actions, your
- 41:38forgiveness doesn't change the karma that is earned for that
- 41:43particular set of actions. So that's where I'm going with
- 41:50that.
- 41:51Alan Carroll: The, the idea of sin, and the idea of salvation,
- 41:57the forgiveness of sin, is clearly stated several places
- 42:02all over in the Bible. And the key to forget, the key to
- 42:06salvation is forgiveness, forgiveness of what, for me, it
- 42:11must be in my movie that I'm painting in my mind, I have
- 42:16these brown spots where I hold grievances about what happened
- 42:21to me. And, and that becomes my identity. And, and I'm in the
- 42:26preservation of my identity business, not the letting go of
- 42:29my identity business. So how do you get people to the letting go
- 42:34of the identity in order to practice the forgiveness when
- 42:37it's appropriate?
- 42:39Unknown: I would say that's a real challenge. And no one lives
- 42:45a life without being hurt, without being betrayed, without
- 42:51being abused in some way, without experience. When you
- 42:58don't need an experience anymore, it just stops
- 43:00happening. I mean, that's kind of a spiritual law. You have
- 43:05experiences so you can learn from them. When you've taken
- 43:09every last ounce, you feel like you can learn from them, then
- 43:14you can recount as difficult as it was the value of the
- 43:22experience. When you are conscious of the value of the
- 43:26experience, then it opens a doorway for you to then forgive
- 43:34the person that perpetrated it. And I like I said, I don't know
- 43:41if anyone who can go through a mortal life, or multiple lives
- 43:46and not have difficult experiences. And we live life
- 43:50after life after life so that we can work through them all. And
- 43:55remember, I was so angry one time and my one of my teachers
- 44:01said, you have to get this right this lifetime, you have to
- 44:03resolve this. I was really angry at my mother in law. Because I
- 44:09knew I had conscious memory that she was responsible for my death
- 44:14in a previous life. And it was crystal clear. It wasn't like
- 44:19somebody told me and I could see it when a lot of people have
- 44:23memory of previous lives.
- 44:24Alan Carroll: But that's a psychic quality psychics are
- 44:26able to do things like that. Yes, well, I
- 44:29Unknown: have that. I have somewhat of that ability. Yes.
- 44:33And, but I didn't tell her that she just hated me on site. And I
- 44:39saw I saw her I started vomiting. And it was not. It was
- 44:46my subconscious recognizing a previous threat. So because of
- 44:54all of the studies and then I was working with my teacher He
- 45:00said, How many lifetimes are you going to go before you come to
- 45:03terms with this woman? You have to figure this out. And I
- 45:09realized I was holding rage. No one is exempt from this
- 45:14certainly not me. I was holding this rage from a past life. And
- 45:20she wasn't much better this life. What she was turned out to
- 45:25be an opportunity. You there are certain again, spiritual laws,
- 45:31you can't change anyone else, you can only change yourself.
- 45:35You can't want something from someone else that they don't
- 45:38want for themselves. And you can't want something from
- 45:42someone they have no capacity to give you. Those are those are
- 45:46given hard, fast rules. And what I realized, took me to working
- 45:54with him, it took me a little while and then I realized that
- 45:58she really had no power over me anymore as wearing the ruby
- 46:03slippers, and I forgot that I had them on.
- 46:07And that she had no power anymore. And that she wasn't
- 46:12going to kill me this lifetime.
- 46:16She's just didn't like me, okay, I wasn't her choice. I get it.
- 46:23And we hadn't spoken to her in 14 years, as my daughter says, I
- 46:27gave new meaning to timeout, she did something I felt was pretty
- 46:31unforgivable. So what we, what we did was, I didn't like who I
- 46:38was, when I was near her, it's like, my whole personality
- 46:41changed. And I felt that if we didn't have contact, that I
- 46:47could find some way to come to terms with who she was, and how
- 46:52to have a relationship with her. in cosmic time, that's actually
- 46:56pretty quick. And we did, we, we did reach out to her, set up
- 47:04some ground rules, and we rebuilt the relationship with
- 47:07with each other that my husband and and she and I. And we were
- 47:14able to establish some ground rules that worked. And she was
- 47:19able to tell me that she loved me. And I was able to say that I
- 47:23loved her too. And it turns out, she was very generous to our
- 47:27children. And she, she changed, not because I made her change,
- 47:36but because I changed, right. Right. And, and I'm sharing that
- 47:40story because, you know, and I didn't go to perfect school, I
- 47:45came to mortal school. And that makes that makes a difference.
- 47:50She, she didn't say she was still pretty hard with my sister
- 47:54in law. But we helped, we helped her by managing the estate when
- 48:00my mother in law died. And for which my sister in law was
- 48:04deeply, deeply grateful. And in a lot of families you have
- 48:09fighting over in a state there was no fighting, there was 100%
- 48:12agreement with everything. And when you do that, it makes
- 48:17everything so much smoother. So now when I look back on that
- 48:22experience with her, the Tibetans say your enemy is your
- 48:27greatest teacher, and I want you to know I got a PhD from her
- 48:35Alan Carroll: it's the ability to see something terrible, and
- 48:41be able to paint it one way in your mind and therefore that's
- 48:45what you see. And then being able to change the way you are
- 48:54interpreting what you are seeing. And then all of a
- 48:58sudden, when you watch the movie outside, the movie matches the
- 49:03what you see. And and that to me, we mentioned before is a the
- 49:10power of observation, the power of being a witness to what's
- 49:14going on. And to me that's like a lucid dream. It's just like
- 49:19waking up in a dream world the the dream of thought that we
- 49:23don't even know where to dream the thought was like a dream of
- 49:25thought, but you don't know you're in a dream with thought
- 49:27until you can wake up from the dream of thought. And to me
- 49:32that's that space you talked about the the ability to create
- 49:36that metaphysical space because Spaces Spaces is bits not
- 49:41physical spaces a metaphysical and
- 49:44Unknown: yes, it's beyond the physics we think we know that's
- 49:47exactly right.
- 49:49Alan Carroll: But and it's available. And it's there's five
- 49:53elements earth air, fire, water and space. Yes, people sort of
- 49:57space do I That's not that important, well spaced has been
- 50:02told to be the mother of the other four elements, because
- 50:06something comes out of nothing and nothing is going to be
- 50:09space. And so the key is that ability to create the space. And
- 50:17new has certainly, and when you create the space, you can, you
- 50:22can have a frequency that that allows you entry into a portal
- 50:29that's available to everybody is the way I see it. And you talked
- 50:33about frequencies. And if I remember, frequencies are magic
- 50:39things if you have the right frequency, abracadabra, ba, ba,
- 50:42ba, ba, ba, ba, you're doing a frequency with your words and
- 50:45opens up the lock. And so you mentioned frequencies. And I
- 50:52know I need to get to the completion of our of our
- 50:55podcast, because it's just a it's just, there's so many
- 51:01avenues that are that are tickling my body. And the
- 51:06frequency conversation, I think is a really important
- 51:09conversation. And you seem to be a subject matter expert on
- 51:13frequencies. So I'd like to suggest if this works for us,
- 51:17we'll schedule another podcast.
- 51:19Unknown: We'll be really, that'd be awesome. I've written two
- 51:22books on frequency. So yeah, so
- 51:26Alan Carroll: perfect. Perfect. Now, before we complete this
- 51:30podcast, is there How does one connect with you and the work
- 51:38that you're doing?
- 51:40Unknown: I actually have two websites, Tina irwin.com, it's
- 51:43urban with an E, or ghost helpers.com. Because I do teach
- 51:48the living to help the dead, it's another one of the little
- 51:50things I do. And to help the dead without immediate you
- 51:54shouldn't have to pay a medium to help your loved one. And the
- 51:59opportunity to to help someone is really the whole purpose of
- 52:04moral life is to be of service to others is is truly the bottom
- 52:08line. And and I'm so grateful that you gave me an opportunity
- 52:13to share some thoughts today and maybe something that we said,
- 52:18will trigger something in another person and we will have
- 52:20helped someone today and that that is really what I live for.
- 52:28Alan Carroll: I started the beginning for the podcast with a
- 52:33prayer. And the prayer was das divine light to become president
- 52:44and allow us to manifest something with the divine light
- 52:47of our conversations today. So we're we're on the we're on the
- 52:51same frequency. Awesome. Well, thank you very much. I enjoyed
- 52:56the conversation. Obviously Tina, and I look forward to the
- 52:59next opportunity. We have to sparkle the space.
- 53:03Unknown: That was fantastic.
- 53:04Alan Carroll: Thank you. All righty.
