- 0:24Speaker 1: listening to together for Steve, I don't joy. You gotta
- 0:59Speaker 1: use that turn out very You gotta turn to turnout,
- 1:42Speaker 1: turn got to turn out to turn turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water. Come come on your baby, uh huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: show will good morning everybody, y'all listening to the VARs
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now wanting on it. Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show, Man on Man on man, grateful
- 2:14Speaker 1: for it comes with a huge amount of responsibility. I
- 2:18Speaker 1: didn't really know I was gonna have to be this responsible,
- 2:21Speaker 1: you know. Um, can I share something with y'all? I
- 2:24Speaker 1: started out to Finally I had gotten on track and
- 2:28Speaker 1: was able to see a way to even pursue my dream.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It has been a long, a long trip that I've
- 2:36Speaker 1: been on, and I've gone through so many phases of it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: It is rewarding along the way to accomplish your dreams.
- 2:45Speaker 1: What I'm saying is this, let me, let me put
- 2:47Speaker 1: it together, because I got so much running through my
- 2:50Speaker 1: head right now. You know, it's it's one thing to
- 2:53Speaker 1: accomplish your dream, but there's joy in the process of
- 2:58Speaker 1: achieving it. See, some people are so caught up in
- 3:03Speaker 1: the goal, the final goal, that they find no joy,
- 3:09Speaker 1: no enjoyment in the process. If you have found what
- 3:15Speaker 1: it is you want to do and you strike out
- 3:19Speaker 1: on that journey, please understand you are far more blessed
- 3:24Speaker 1: than the average person to know what it is you
- 3:28Speaker 1: really want to do. To find your work in life,
- 3:32Speaker 1: your purpose, to find out what direction you want to
- 3:37Speaker 1: go in is such a blessing. The average person, if
- 3:40Speaker 1: you sit down and talk to them, oftentimes don't have
- 3:45Speaker 1: their life on track. And it'd be some people that
- 3:47Speaker 1: you're looking at you think God are going on because
- 3:49Speaker 1: of their appearance, their swagger, or they walk like it,
- 3:54Speaker 1: they talk like it, they look like it. But if
- 3:56Speaker 1: you sit down and talk to the average person, the
- 3:59Speaker 1: average person man does not know what their purpose is,
- 4:04Speaker 1: has not discovered what they want to do, and have
- 4:08Speaker 1: no idea how to get there. If you are on
- 4:10Speaker 1: the other side of that, if you understand your purpose,
- 4:15Speaker 1: if you have an idea of what you wanna be
- 4:17Speaker 1: and you are on your way there, you are truly blessed,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and in that blessing, you must recognize it as a blessing.
- 4:27Speaker 1: You must recognize the fact that you are on the
- 4:32Speaker 1: right side, and that there should be a sense of
- 4:34Speaker 1: accomplishment and a feeling of pride in you that you
- 4:38Speaker 1: are on track to accomplish your goal. See what used
- 4:42Speaker 1: to happen was sometimes I used to keep my nose
- 4:46Speaker 1: so on the grindstone that I wouldn't even look up
- 4:50Speaker 1: and realize. Man, hey, man, I know you're trying to
- 4:53Speaker 1: get here, but Steve, hold on, man, can't you see
- 4:56Speaker 1: what you've done so far? Can't you find just some
- 5:00Speaker 1: joy in the process. See, a lot of us lose
- 5:03Speaker 1: the joy of the blessings God has given us because
- 5:06Speaker 1: we're looking at the end. Tomot, I ain't there yet.
- 5:09Speaker 1: You on your way. I'm gonna give you an example.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I had a friend who told me that they wanted
- 5:16Speaker 1: to be a million now, and they asked me some
- 5:19Speaker 1: questions and I told him, so they started the process,
- 5:23Speaker 1: and I am telling you, this dude works extremely hard.
- 5:30Speaker 1: So about a year later we were talking. He had
- 5:34Speaker 1: found this business, he had set his goal, and he
- 5:41Speaker 1: was working towards it. Then about two years later, I
- 5:44Speaker 1: ran up into him again. We were talking about it
- 5:46Speaker 1: and everything. It's a man. Really really appreciate the advice.
- 5:49Speaker 1: He said, Man, but this is all jacked up, man,
- 5:53Speaker 1: because I still ain't made that million I was talking about.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I said, well, hey, man, just just keep at it.
- 5:59Speaker 1: It's coming. He's a man. Keep at it. Man. You
- 6:02Speaker 1: know how long I've been doing this? Been two years now.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And I didn't say that to him, but I said
- 6:07Speaker 1: to myself, yeah, two years. He said, Man, I've been
- 6:10Speaker 1: grinding so long. Man, it's just it ain't having it
- 6:13Speaker 1: from me. I said, wait a minute, man, hold on,
- 6:16Speaker 1: hold on. I said, about how much you're making right
- 6:18Speaker 1: now a year? Man, about two hundred and fifty thousand.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I quit breathing. I said, well, my man, two years
- 6:29Speaker 1: ago you didn't have a clue. Two years later, you're
- 6:34Speaker 1: making a quarter of a million dollars. I said, man,
- 6:38Speaker 1: do you understand how blessed you are? I said, man,
- 6:41Speaker 1: your family was about to get put out two years ago.
- 6:46Speaker 1: You don't bought a house? Yeah, man, but this ain't
- 6:48Speaker 1: the house. I really won't. Ohoa Pardner, whoa I got that?
- 6:53Speaker 1: I got that house. You really won't make Mike call
- 6:56Speaker 1: five eight million. I don't know, but man, y'all out
- 7:00Speaker 1: of house. You're making the payments, you drive it. You
- 7:02Speaker 1: ain't out no more. I said, holder. Man, you got
- 7:04Speaker 1: to stop. I said, you got to stop. I said, man,
- 7:07Speaker 1: because right now, man, you you coming across as real
- 7:09Speaker 1: ungrateful to me. And so he said, man, why are
- 7:12Speaker 1: you tripping like that? Man? Man, you act like don't
- 7:15Speaker 1: nobody want to have nothing but you? I said, whoa man,
- 7:17Speaker 1: where are you going with this conversation? I said, Oh,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I didn't come to you. I just came to you
- 7:21Speaker 1: and ask you how you doing. And I'm trying to
- 7:23Speaker 1: point out to you that the journey that you started on,
- 7:27Speaker 1: that you are on your way, and you are in
- 7:29Speaker 1: the process of accomplishing your goals. And can you not
- 7:32Speaker 1: feel some joy and some pleasure in your accomplishment. Quit
- 7:36Speaker 1: tripping on the fact that you ain't made the million yet.
- 7:39Speaker 1: You on your way. You don't went from your He thought,
- 7:42Speaker 1: this dude was making fifteen thousand dollars a year. You
- 7:44Speaker 1: making quarter of a million dollars in two years. May
- 7:46Speaker 1: come on, man, can't you see? Can't you see? So
- 7:50Speaker 1: he said eventually, a man, I kind of see what
- 7:53Speaker 1: you're saying, but that ain't about nothing to me, because
- 7:55Speaker 1: I ran up into him a year and a half later.
- 8:00Speaker 1: How you doing, man, man, I showed, wish I'd appreciate
- 8:04Speaker 1: it my life when I had it like that? I said,
- 8:06Speaker 1: what you mean? Had it like that? Man? Just fell
- 8:09Speaker 1: on some hard times. Man, I'm right back why I was.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And then we talked. I said, ain't man, don't worry
- 8:15Speaker 1: about it. I said, Once you know how to accomplish something,
- 8:18Speaker 1: I said, you just reapply the same principles and start
- 8:20Speaker 1: on over again. Man, you know how hard it is
- 8:23Speaker 1: or be to start over. Okay, my man, hold up, Pardner,
- 8:26Speaker 1: you can't do yourself like this again. First you wasn't
- 8:29Speaker 1: grateful for what you had. Now you're looking at the
- 8:31Speaker 1: fact that you might have to start over, and you
- 8:33Speaker 1: know how hard it is to start over. Maybe God said, okay,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you ain't happy with this, Okay, didn't handle it your way?
- 8:42Speaker 1: You obviously ain't happy with the way I'm bringing it
- 8:45Speaker 1: into your life. You want to handle it your way,
- 8:47Speaker 1: Go ahead and handle it because he will let you
- 8:48Speaker 1: have it your way. Can I tell you that he
- 8:51Speaker 1: will let you do it exactly the way you want
- 8:53Speaker 1: to it because he gives us all the power of choice.
- 8:55Speaker 1: So then maybe he said, Okay, you don't appreciate the
- 8:59Speaker 1: way I'm doing it. You don't like the favor I'm
- 9:01Speaker 1: showing you. You think it's take it too long. I'm
- 9:03Speaker 1: gonna let you do it your way. I'm not gonna
- 9:05Speaker 1: turn my back on you. I'm just gonna let you
- 9:07Speaker 1: do it your way. Just just say. Maybe he said that,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and now he right back where he was. So what
- 9:13Speaker 1: I try to get the young cat to understand was, man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: appreciate your life for what it is. Because like life,
- 9:20Speaker 1: Jenny's got that song that he got out off this album.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Still I still believe it could have been worse. And
- 9:26Speaker 1: now that it is worse, what's on your mind now, Folks,
- 9:31Speaker 1: if you are on that side of life where you
- 9:34Speaker 1: have figured out what you want to do, you know
- 9:36Speaker 1: how you're gonna get that, and you know your purpose.
- 9:38Speaker 1: You're accomplishing what the majority of people never ever do.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So be grateful for your process. Don't tumble yourself, don't
- 9:45Speaker 1: throw yourself off the cliff. It's gonna be all right.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Success takes a measure of time. It is not easy.
- 9:52Speaker 1: If success were easy, everybody would be successful. You're listening,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. It is upon us another great day,
- 10:05Speaker 1: another opportunity, to another blessing from our heavenly father man.
- 10:08Speaker 1: To show is good to wake up, y'all. It show
- 10:11Speaker 1: is good to get off work, y'all. It show is
- 10:13Speaker 1: good to have any measure of health, y'all. It show
- 10:16Speaker 1: is good to be breathing. It show is good to
- 10:18Speaker 1: be given another chance, another opportunity. It is a blessing
- 10:24Speaker 1: to be in the land of the living, and living
- 10:27Speaker 1: in the land. I'm all of that, Thank you, Heavenly
- 10:30Speaker 1: father man. I'm good today. You know what I feel
- 10:34Speaker 1: really really good about today. Let's get it on. Shirley
- 10:37Speaker 1: Strawberry calling for real Mississippi Monica Junior government name kill
- 10:44Speaker 1: space the legend that is, nephew Tommy Junior. Yes, sir,
- 10:51Speaker 1: what's on your mind today? Let me ask you this up.
- 10:55Speaker 1: You know, you sixty five, you've been in this business
- 10:57Speaker 1: a long time. How do you learn how to deal
- 10:59Speaker 1: with criticism? All a criticism you've had over your career.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Get better at it. You're not good at it in
- 11:07Speaker 1: the beginning because you you you you know, you know,
- 11:10Speaker 1: in the early on you got a train for this.
- 11:13Speaker 1: You know, it's like a fighter. When you first get
- 11:15Speaker 1: in you don't duck all the blows. It's some simple
- 11:17Speaker 1: blows that be hitting you when you first get in
- 11:19Speaker 1: the ring as a fighter. Then after you get hit
- 11:21Speaker 1: you start learning. Women. Hold up, now, I need to
- 11:24Speaker 1: start some weaving and some bob and so I can
- 11:26Speaker 1: duck some of these punches. And then it's like being
- 11:30Speaker 1: in the gym. When you first get in the gym,
- 11:33Speaker 1: you can't lift as much weight as you can later on.
- 11:37Speaker 1: It's just timing. I wish I could find this, Uh,
- 11:42Speaker 1: wish I could find this thing. I'm trying to find
- 11:44Speaker 1: it on my phone to show you a description of
- 11:48Speaker 1: how I really am, and I'm gonna find it. As
- 11:52Speaker 1: I look under my motivational page, I think I still
- 11:56Speaker 1: have this, but I want you all to understand that
- 11:59Speaker 1: it is. It's a picture of a puppy with one
- 12:04Speaker 1: arrow in him, laying on the ground bleed. And under
- 12:08Speaker 1: that picture of that puppy that baby wolf should, I say,
- 12:12Speaker 1: with one born arrow in his back in a little
- 12:15Speaker 1: puddle of blood. And it says, under that picture the
- 12:18Speaker 1: old met Then next to him is a wolf standing up,
- 12:23Speaker 1: a full grown wolf standing in the same puddler of
- 12:28Speaker 1: blood with about forty arrows in his back, and he
- 12:32Speaker 1: looking down at the little puppy, and the caption over
- 12:35Speaker 1: him says, life, don't get in the easier, you just
- 12:38Speaker 1: get stronger. So as as I suffer the slings and arrows,
- 12:43Speaker 1: the older you get, the better you get at handling it.
- 12:47Speaker 1: And like I was just looking this morning, amazing you
- 12:50Speaker 1: asked me that an old video of me on one
- 12:54Speaker 1: of my on my talk shows saying that I don't
- 12:57Speaker 1: even let what people say about me bother me no
- 13:00Speaker 1: more because I've been I've been ripped up on that
- 13:03Speaker 1: end of that man over the years. Now I don't
- 13:06Speaker 1: even care, because I have discovered that you actually have
- 13:13Speaker 1: no power, position, authority, or say so or rule over
- 13:20Speaker 1: my life. You have none unless I give it to you. Yes,
- 13:26Speaker 1: so the person I've given that to us, God Almighty,
- 13:29Speaker 1: the rest of everybody else. Man, miss me, you might
- 13:31Speaker 1: as well quit throwing rocks and me. I'm too high
- 13:33Speaker 1: on the wall now, I'm all right. Steve coming up
- 13:36Speaker 1: in thirty two minutes after the hour, Frank back with
- 13:40Speaker 1: the nephew right after this. You're listening all right in
- 13:46Speaker 1: its time now for the nephew to run that prank back?
- 13:49Speaker 1: What you got for us now? Day? Well, I had
- 13:53Speaker 1: it yesterday and I have it again today. Yeah. This

- 14:49Speaker 1: Who bring it to your attention? Right? Don't worry about that,
- 14:52Speaker 1: don't worry about who told me. But everybody said, you
- 14:54Speaker 1: always eating people's stuff out the damn break room and

- 15:49Speaker 1: I always eating everybody's stuff up. They can't say whatever
- 15:52Speaker 1: they want to say. That don't mean that I was

- 22:25Speaker 1: he's still sleeping with me? Would I be wrong to
- 22:27Speaker 1: tell her? Whoa? Who? Did you not just say y'all
- 22:35Speaker 1: was just close friends? That's what she said? Oh how
- 22:38Speaker 1: many times I gotta tell y'all about this. I'm not

- 25:21Speaker 1: all this kissing and see what else he do? Yeah?
- 25:23Speaker 1: That's how it was. Yeah, yo, brother's wife. Yeah, it's
- 25:30Speaker 1: too crazy out here. This this isn't just not right,
- 25:33Speaker 1: It's just too crazy, all right. Moving on to Opel
- 25:37Speaker 1: and Harrisburg, Opel says, I'm a thirty six year old
- 25:40Speaker 1: divorced mother of twins, so I am busy with work,
- 25:44Speaker 1: with school events and with church. I don't have time
- 25:47Speaker 1: to date, but I do have time for sex. My
- 25:52Speaker 1: maintenance man was at my house and my twins caught
- 25:55Speaker 1: him sneaking out early Saturday morning. Do I owe my
- 25:58Speaker 1: eleven year old twins an explanation? He was in there?
- 26:03Speaker 1: Just tests tell the truth? What is the truth? He
- 26:07Speaker 1: was in? Now, your mama pipes listen to me, baby,

- 26:19Speaker 1: in there all night clearing these pipes out, and then
- 26:22Speaker 1: he left this morning. That's all you got to do
- 26:24Speaker 1: is tell the eleven year old. But if I have
- 26:27Speaker 1: another comment, If you're thirty seven and your name is Opal,
- 26:31Speaker 1: who named you? It's what I want to know? Why Opal?

- 27:48Speaker 1: with the female that needed help financially, so I helped
- 27:51Speaker 1: her out. She didn't keep up her end of the deal,
- 27:54Speaker 1: and she blocked my number and disappeared. I found her
- 27:58Speaker 1: at her parents house. Her dad offered to pay me back.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Do I take it? Yeah? Yeah, because you're not gonna
- 28:05Speaker 1: get the sex you wanted. Yeah. Yeah. She didn't keep
- 28:10Speaker 1: up her end of the deal, but daddy offered to
- 28:12Speaker 1: pay me due. I take it, yes, because you're not
- 28:14Speaker 1: getting the safe. So lead on to get your money now.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Felix or another name name Felix. We got out of
- 28:28Speaker 1: the age for a minute, to Mek to Mek, Yeah, DeVante,
- 28:35Speaker 1: we got out of that for a minute. I don't
- 28:36Speaker 1: know what they're doing with these kids now. They're doing
- 28:38Speaker 1: this your kids name now, like space name seven No,
- 28:43Speaker 1: all that pupid, you know they're all they're doing space names.
- 28:49Speaker 1: You know, you know Galaxy. You know they're doing space
- 28:55Speaker 1: names now. We always get on trends and stuff for
- 28:59Speaker 1: two day when they you know, get back to Steve
- 29:04Speaker 1: not just name your name your kids after Beard Coors,
- 29:08Speaker 1: bo paps. Why would you do that? Corona do everything else?
- 29:17Speaker 1: All right, you know Miller Lite Nickelo Miller. All right,
- 29:22Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. Thank you, Ciella.
- 29:24Speaker 1: We'll have some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 29:27Speaker 1: You're listening to show well. Democratic Senator Rafael Warnock defeated
- 29:38Speaker 1: challenger here. Thank you, George. Yeah, give it. That's the
- 29:45Speaker 1: same thing said. You're welcome. We did it down hill, Yeah,
- 29:52Speaker 1: showed up, showed out. Thank y'all for going to the polls.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Thank you for representing Yeah, thank you for standing in
- 29:59Speaker 1: the line. Thank y'all, Thank y'all. For turning back the
- 30:05Speaker 1: all the acts of voter suppression. Thank y'all man for
- 30:10Speaker 1: standing up and being thank you for your early votes. Yes,
- 30:13Speaker 1: early votes saved us. Yes yes, and then thank those
- 30:17Speaker 1: are stood in line on the day of Thank y'all man,
- 30:21Speaker 1: Thank you, yeah, thank you. It gives Democrats a fifty
- 30:24Speaker 1: one seat majority now in the Senate, and it allows
- 30:27Speaker 1: Senator Warnock, the first flag senator from Georgia, a full
- 30:31Speaker 1: six year term, so we won't have to vote for
- 30:33Speaker 1: him again for six years. Senator Warnock thank to supporters
- 30:37Speaker 1: in his victory speech, stating, after a hard fought campaign
- 30:41Speaker 1: or should I say campaigns, it is my honor to
- 30:45Speaker 1: utter the foe most powerful words ever spoken in a democracy.
- 30:50Speaker 1: The people have spoken. His speech ended. Surely, surely all
- 30:55Speaker 1: that is really good. What we're really excited about is
- 31:00Speaker 1: herschel Walker's ignorant ass would not be in the Senate
- 31:04Speaker 1: representing Georgia. Let's get that out. I don't know what
- 31:07Speaker 1: you're fitting the saint, but that's what we over George about.
- 31:10Speaker 1: You fit to do all these wonderful fun political facts
- 31:13Speaker 1: and all that, and I appreciate your well. Now let
- 31:18Speaker 1: me take over ass speak you bang on a second,
- 31:30Speaker 1: I know you got a lot to say, all right. Uh. Anyway,
- 31:33Speaker 1: His speech ended with a strong message of hope. Take
- 31:36Speaker 1: a listen. I'm ready to keep doing this work. I
- 31:40Speaker 1: can hear my dad if blessed memories, they got up,
- 31:44Speaker 1: Yeah dressed, put your shoes off. Yeah right it are
- 31:50Speaker 1: you right a Georgia. I want it started up, for
- 31:56Speaker 1: workers starting up, for women to stay on the four children,
- 32:03Speaker 1: to build a stronger Georgia. God bless you, keep the
- 32:07Speaker 1: faith and keep looking up. All right, warnock in there.
- 32:16Speaker 1: That's beautiful to love that. That's what we do. That's
- 32:19Speaker 1: the high road speaking. Yes. Now for those of us
- 32:24Speaker 1: that dwell where I dwell from time to time, you know,
- 32:30Speaker 1: for those of us that have other I couldn't have,
- 32:33Speaker 1: I think we got the right man in there, because
- 32:35Speaker 1: see high hell of it. But let me tell you
- 32:38Speaker 1: what really good though, your ignorant, self proclaimed cool love himself.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Take all them ignorant ass statements, them dumb ass stories,
- 32:56Speaker 1: Take all that werewolf vampire bulls up and over the fish,
- 33:01Speaker 1: three pregnant chickens, take all that mess you was saying,
- 33:05Speaker 1: and man, take your ass back to Texas. And I
- 33:08Speaker 1: don't get man, please man, I us turning back that
- 33:13Speaker 1: moment of embarrassment that the Republicans tried to push off.
- 33:16Speaker 1: I was watching CNN. I was watching one of the
- 33:18Speaker 1: Republicans say he went to the polls and he's a
- 33:22Speaker 1: staunch Republican, been a conservative his whole life. He said that.
- 33:27Speaker 1: He said he got his voting card and he went
- 33:30Speaker 1: into the boot. Yeah, and he said he printed his
- 33:36Speaker 1: bad ballot out by not voting and turned it in. Wow.
- 33:42Speaker 1: He said. I did not vote for Senator war Knock
- 33:48Speaker 1: because I don't particularly don't agree with his value. This
- 33:52Speaker 1: is a conservative talk, he said. But I could not
- 33:56Speaker 1: vote for herschel Walker. I couldn't. We may of mistake
- 34:01Speaker 1: and judgment and character in the person that we put
- 34:06Speaker 1: up to represent the conservative And that's what I was hoping.
- 34:11Speaker 1: That's just that some of them would come to the
- 34:13Speaker 1: realization of how ridiculous this type of candidate was. And
- 34:19Speaker 1: I'm so proud of Georgian's for going to the polls
- 34:22Speaker 1: and turning it back. And it was it was close,
- 34:26Speaker 1: But I don't even worry about that. I knew it
- 34:28Speaker 1: was gonna be close because I understand how deeply seated
- 34:35Speaker 1: the need for power, position, money, and and and and
- 34:40Speaker 1: bigotry is in this country. I know that there are
- 34:44Speaker 1: people who will sacrifice everything they really believe in to
- 34:48Speaker 1: maintain their power, their position, and their money. I know
- 34:52Speaker 1: people who will do anything except vote for the other person,
- 34:58Speaker 1: even if they write. And you saw that in Georgia
- 35:01Speaker 1: because it was way too close. Like I said, you know,
- 35:03Speaker 1: congratulations for Senator Raphael war knock Man. He was out
- 35:08Speaker 1: there fighting because he'd been campaigning for the runoff the election,
- 35:12Speaker 1: the Friar election. Uh. That man's uh sustainability and and
- 35:20Speaker 1: and and perseverance as outstanding. So congratulations to him, uh,
- 35:25Speaker 1: you know, uh, and and just congratulations to the voters
- 35:28Speaker 1: to Georgia. Man. I know it was close. I know
- 35:32Speaker 1: it was closer than we wanted it to be. But
- 35:35Speaker 1: it's all right. Close close ain't got nothing to do
- 35:38Speaker 1: with it. It's a lot of close calls in life.
- 35:41Speaker 1: You know, you that car almost hit you. You know
- 35:44Speaker 1: you almost stepped off that curve, You almost that later
- 35:48Speaker 1: in the grocery car it almost ran into your baby,
- 35:51Speaker 1: almost fell down him. Still almost We won the election.
- 35:56Speaker 1: That don't matter how close it was. He is our senator.
- 35:59Speaker 1: For the next thing, years for the next six years.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Congratulations Georgia, and you welcome the United States. Welcome. You'll
- 36:10Speaker 1: be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 36:13Speaker 1: right after you welcome. You're listening show well. In an
- 36:20Speaker 1: interview on the Tammy Talks podcast, actress Jennifer Lewis delivered
- 36:25Speaker 1: a stern message to Kanye West when asked what she
- 36:29Speaker 1: thinks about his ongoing shenanigans. Take a listen. I'm sick
- 36:32Speaker 1: of Kanye. I was sick of him before he did
- 36:36Speaker 1: all this. I don't care what he's dealing with. Shut
- 36:39Speaker 1: you off. Now, you go sit down somewhere. All them
- 36:43Speaker 1: kissed that look up to his ass. Get Hey, Kanye,
- 36:48Speaker 1: my name is Jennifer Lewis. I'm famous, too, namous as you.
- 36:55Speaker 1: That does not excuse you from doing what you should.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Go get hell the children. I'm looking at you. You
- 37:04Speaker 1: hushed now, Okay, yeah, hush Yeah. That's why all of
- 37:14Speaker 1: us have heard that and went to where it said.
- 37:15Speaker 1: I asked down. Yeah, the rest of the day. Yeah,
- 37:21Speaker 1: becauld say something. I just think, Uh, Kanye, at this point, man,
- 37:28Speaker 1: he's just headed and he's not even attempting to turn around.
- 37:32Speaker 1: He's just doing podcast interviews. People ain't got no problem
- 37:36Speaker 1: giving him that platform because he's clicked baked and now
- 37:40Speaker 1: he's just he's digging the hole even deeper. And for
- 37:44Speaker 1: those that want to run out there and support him,
- 37:47Speaker 1: it look just because you can say something don't mean
- 37:53Speaker 1: you should. The culture and the climate has changed. Now.
- 37:58Speaker 1: You've got to be smart enough to stay with it. Man.
- 38:04Speaker 1: That always to handle and address all situations. But a
- 38:09Speaker 1: lot of times, sometimes you can kick the front door win.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Sometimes you gotta go brown back. Sometimes you gotta go
- 38:16Speaker 1: through the window. But you cannot make the announcement that
- 38:20Speaker 1: I'm coming to take this. You can't do that no
- 38:23Speaker 1: more because all you do is set them up to
- 38:25Speaker 1: tear you down. And and and and and and I
- 38:29Speaker 1: think what's happening now, man, with this anti Semitic thing
- 38:33Speaker 1: that's going on. It's it's as rich as the counsel
- 38:36Speaker 1: culture and it always has been. Kyrie Irving just got
- 38:39Speaker 1: took off his Nike deal. I don't know how many
- 38:42Speaker 1: times if you can apologize or whatever, you still have
- 38:46Speaker 1: to pay. We are in a dangerous time, you are.
- 38:51Speaker 1: And you know, if if if they're waiting on you
- 38:53Speaker 1: to say something against anything, then sometimes you don't need
- 38:57Speaker 1: to say it. It's other ways to do it. You
- 39:00Speaker 1: gotta do some covert actions. You got to you gotta
- 39:03Speaker 1: release your delta force. You gotta get your special services,
- 39:07Speaker 1: your special ops services out there. You cannot just go
- 39:11Speaker 1: about it the way we've been going about it, because
- 39:14Speaker 1: they will silash you with the council culture and you
- 39:20Speaker 1: just got to find another way to do it now.
- 39:22Speaker 1: You gotta be smarter, real creative. Yeah, thank you Jennifer
- 39:28Speaker 1: Lewis for speaking out all right. Coming up at thirty
- 39:31Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour, Cedric the Entertainer Steve named
- 39:34Speaker 1: his Mount Rushmore of comedians, and we'll talk about it
- 39:38Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show well, King of Comedy.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Cedric the Entertainer appeared on an episode of Shannon Sharp's
- 39:48Speaker 1: Club Sha Shay podcast last week, and Shannon asked him
- 39:52Speaker 1: to name his Mount Rushmore of comedians, its top four
- 39:56Speaker 1: comedians of all time. Take a listen, give me, said
- 40:00Speaker 1: Matt Rushmore. Comedians. Oh man for me, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, uh,
- 40:07Speaker 1: the late Robin Harris uh uh Chappelle. That's all you
- 40:15Speaker 1: get it. I'm about to say, you're about to keep going.
- 40:17Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, I see that. I say, read
- 40:19Speaker 1: exactly why you probably didn't go to you know, you're
- 40:21Speaker 1: about name five. It's only poor. Yeah, so yeah, I
- 40:23Speaker 1: didn't go to it. Yeah, you see, I see why
- 40:27Speaker 1: you didn't like. It's fine people on that mountain though
- 40:30Speaker 1: it ain't number four. A lot of people don't know that.
- 40:35Speaker 1: A lot of people don't know that. Yeah, a lot
- 40:37Speaker 1: of people don't know that. People know that. I account
- 40:43Speaker 1: I read comedians on the show. Gotta ask you the
- 40:45Speaker 1: same question, Junior. Who are your top four comedians of
- 40:49Speaker 1: all time? That's easy. Richard Prye, M Martin, Lawrence m HM,
- 40:56Speaker 1: Eddie Murphy, come on, man Chapel like in my phone. Okay,
- 41:04Speaker 1: all right, very good list. Yeah you got nephew. Top
- 41:08Speaker 1: four comedians of all time? You're mount Rushmore all time?
- 41:12Speaker 1: Richard Mister, Richard pryor the King, um see Eddie Murphred
- 41:19Speaker 1: all right, I'm going with Chappelle too. Yeah. Then I'm
- 41:23Speaker 1: gonna do a wild card on you. Robin Williams way
- 41:26Speaker 1: he left, Yeah, yes, very talented. Yeah, okay, all right,
- 41:36Speaker 1: all right, big dog Steve Harvey Top four comedians of
- 41:40Speaker 1: all time? I don't know man, I really don't know.
- 41:46Speaker 1: That's a hard one. I'm really stuck because I really
- 41:50Speaker 1: do and I studied this. No, this is such a
- 41:54Speaker 1: huge part of my life. It's all I wanted. I
- 41:56Speaker 1: didn't want nothing else. So I'm kind of tall because
- 42:00Speaker 1: I understand the timing of it all. Chappelle is sheer
- 42:04Speaker 1: greatness right now, right now. But I know how Chapelle
- 42:11Speaker 1: got there, you know, because if you take away these
- 42:16Speaker 1: Netflix specials, Chapelle is greatness, but it was some greatness
- 42:23Speaker 1: before he got there. And that's why I'm kind of torn.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Richard Prye is the greatest to ever hold of microphone
- 42:32Speaker 1: for me, George Carlin, when you listen to him, all
- 42:37Speaker 1: his old stuff that I study, I have to give
- 42:41Speaker 1: him the nod of. When it comes to just sheer greatness.
- 42:47Speaker 1: My third choice that should be on that is Chris Rock.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I think raw Man, over the course of time has
- 42:58Speaker 1: been that dude man that has always been for years,
- 43:03Speaker 1: Blacken and black and all of that. You know what
- 43:11Speaker 1: put Chappelle up there right now is he's the only
- 43:14Speaker 1: one that can say whatever he want to say, and
- 43:17Speaker 1: he's an absolute genius at it. Yes, yes, but yes,
- 43:22Speaker 1: And I'm gonna be a little bit uh vain here
- 43:27Speaker 1: because I know what it launched. I know, I know
- 43:33Speaker 1: what launched. Uh epps, I know what it launched. Chappelle,
- 43:40Speaker 1: I know what it launched. H Kevin, I just know what.
- 43:45Speaker 1: I know what it launched. A lot of stuff, man,
- 43:49Speaker 1: I don't I don't know. It's half me to say
- 43:51Speaker 1: I really want to back out of this one because
- 43:53Speaker 1: I want to put Chappelle up there. But I know
- 43:55Speaker 1: if it wasn't for the Kings of Comedy, man, a
- 43:57Speaker 1: lot of this don't even happen. A lot of this
- 44:01Speaker 1: does not happen. But it's just one unit. You know,
- 44:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna pick you know, we the four of us
- 44:08Speaker 1: together was a unit. It was neshmore. Yeah, to put
- 44:12Speaker 1: a photo up there. But if I can't be vain,
- 44:16Speaker 1: I have to go with Chapale Rock Calling in Pride. Okay,
- 44:21Speaker 1: it's a great list. Yeah, all right, all right, thank
- 44:24Speaker 1: you guys, thank you. Coming up next, it is a
- 44:27Speaker 1: nephew in the prank phone call for today. Right after
- 44:29Speaker 1: this you're listening show, coming up at about four minutes
- 44:35Speaker 1: after the hour, it's my Strawberry letter for today and
- 44:38Speaker 1: the subject is I can't do that often. That's gonna
- 44:44Speaker 1: be a problem. Dan. We'll get into that, find out
- 44:50Speaker 1: what that's all about in just a few because right

- 46:13Speaker 1: you're probably you probably know when you see But listen. Uh.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Hen when I had a problem, and now I came in.
- 46:19Speaker 1: But last week sometimes I came in, I think with
- 46:21Speaker 1: last thirties. I came in to get my clothes. I
- 46:23Speaker 1: dropped off and uh nah, noah, I had brought some
- 46:26Speaker 1: clothes probably about three weeks before that. Uh huh. And
- 46:30Speaker 1: and when I got home three you know, like I said,
- 46:33Speaker 1: three weeks. When I got on with that with them clothes,
- 46:35Speaker 1: I realized I was missing a shot. And uh and
- 46:38Speaker 1: I was like, I don't, I don't know wear my
- 46:40Speaker 1: shirt that I come fast. So now just last week
- 46:42Speaker 1: when I came back to pick up some clothes, and nah,
- 46:45Speaker 1: and and it's what you know, I didn't want to
- 46:47Speaker 1: raise no no having in your in your stoe or nothing,
- 46:49Speaker 1: but what what I looked and I looked at you.

- 54:14Speaker 1: never know, it could be yours. It could be yours.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on tight. We got it for you.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry Letter. All right, thank you, nephew. Subject.
- 54:24Speaker 1: I can't do that often. I think this letter deserves
- 54:29Speaker 1: a disclaimer, so if you have young kids in the car,
- 54:32Speaker 1: you might not want them to hear this. Here we go,
- 54:35Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm twenty eight years old and I'm
- 54:38Speaker 1: dating a really nice forty year old man. He's been
- 54:41Speaker 1: married twice, and according to him, both marriages ended because
- 54:46Speaker 1: his wives got lazy and tried to deprive him of sex.
- 54:50Speaker 1: He also complained about them spending too much money. Well,
- 54:53Speaker 1: since we've been together, he's been a great provider and
- 54:56Speaker 1: money has never been an issue. I wanted to get
- 54:59Speaker 1: to owe him better, to see if he's the reason
- 55:03Speaker 1: he had the two divorces after almost a year of dating.
- 55:07Speaker 1: I think it was the sex that drove his two
- 55:09Speaker 1: wives away. This man has a very high sex drive,
- 55:13Speaker 1: and I find it hard to keep up with him
- 55:15Speaker 1: in the bedroom. It's not just the high sex drive,
- 55:19Speaker 1: it's his size too. He is unbelievably well endowed, and
- 55:24Speaker 1: I've set limits on how often we have sex by
- 55:27Speaker 1: telling him I'm waiting for marriage. That's helped keep him
- 55:31Speaker 1: off me for a while, but now he's coming for
- 55:33Speaker 1: me all the time because he's claimed to me as
- 55:37Speaker 1: his third wife. I told him we haven't even been
- 55:39Speaker 1: together a year, so he needs to slow down on
- 55:42Speaker 1: the marriage talk. I don't like telling him no, but
- 55:46Speaker 1: I can't do it as often as he'd like to.
- 55:50Speaker 1: He's too much for me, and I feel like I
- 55:52Speaker 1: should be the one that's that's got all of the stamina.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Because I'm a lot younger than he is, I'm finding
- 55:58Speaker 1: it harder and harder to keep him happy without having
- 56:00Speaker 1: a lot of sex. He knows what he's working with,
- 56:04Speaker 1: so he should respect my body enough to put a
- 56:07Speaker 1: reasonable time limit on our activities in the bedroom. If
- 56:11Speaker 1: I'm going to be his third wife, I'll have to
- 56:13Speaker 1: set guidelines on how often we're intimate. Do you think
- 56:17Speaker 1: that will be a deal breaker for him? Well, I'm
- 56:21Speaker 1: not really concerned about him right at this moment, I'm
- 56:24Speaker 1: concerned more about you and why are you more worried
- 56:28Speaker 1: about his feelings than what's going on with your own
- 56:30Speaker 1: body and how you feel. This forty year old man
- 56:33Speaker 1: is only thinking of his needs. He wants sex, and
- 56:37Speaker 1: he wants a lot of it, which is okay if
- 56:40Speaker 1: both parties agree. You got to be in agreement with
- 56:42Speaker 1: this stuff. But that's not the case here. He's selfish
- 56:47Speaker 1: with what he wants. He's thinking about the fact that
- 56:49Speaker 1: this maybe he's not thinking about the fact I should
- 56:52Speaker 1: say that this is causing you some discomfort, some pain.
- 56:56Speaker 1: He's got you so upset that you can't keep up
- 56:58Speaker 1: with him that all you do second guess yourself. I
- 57:01Speaker 1: like that you put him on a sex diet. That
- 57:03Speaker 1: is a good thing if he's if he's too much,
- 57:08Speaker 1: you know, right now, just imagine if you get married
- 57:11Speaker 1: to this guy. Yeah, you need some guidelines. You asked
- 57:14Speaker 1: about setting them. You absolutely must do what's best for
- 57:18Speaker 1: you in this instance. Okay, he's not trying to hear
- 57:21Speaker 1: what you have to say. Anyway. He may be well endowed,
- 57:24Speaker 1: but does he really know what he's doing with it?
- 57:27Speaker 1: You know? All the time? Does he know, I mean,
- 57:30Speaker 1: you know. Sex should be fun, it should be pleasurable,
- 57:33Speaker 1: it should be enjoyable. So please continue to go at
- 57:37Speaker 1: your own pace, your own pace, okay, and make him
- 57:40Speaker 1: make the necessary adjustments in this situation. Please don't marry
- 57:44Speaker 1: him right now because you can't handle him right now.
- 57:47Speaker 1: And if you can't handle him right now, if you
- 57:49Speaker 1: get married to him, and he's really gonna think he
- 57:51Speaker 1: should get it all the time. So you need to
- 57:53Speaker 1: rethink this situation. If this is not this might not
- 57:56Speaker 1: be for you. It might be just be too much
- 57:58Speaker 1: for you. Steve. Well, well, well, well, well, I know
- 58:05Speaker 1: that you've asked me in the past, Shirley, yes, not
- 58:09Speaker 1: to make these letters about me, but you can't help,
- 58:13Speaker 1: But can't you, especially ones like these? Well, be honest,
- 58:21Speaker 1: this ain't about me at all. But I got I
- 58:24Speaker 1: got a couple of things I need to address about
- 58:27Speaker 1: this letter. That's gonna sound like I know what I'm
- 58:31Speaker 1: talking about, but I'm gonna do it in a lighthearted way.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Because this problem that you have, Lady, that problem is
- 58:43Speaker 1: not as widespread as people make it out to be.
- 58:48Speaker 1: In other words, this ain't a very common problem. All
- 58:54Speaker 1: we like to say it is all, oh, we'll lie
- 59:01Speaker 1: about it, but this everybody don't have this problem, right hill.
- 59:06Speaker 1: We will discuss the real problem in a minute. In
- 59:09Speaker 1: twenty eight dating is for the you old man being
- 59:12Speaker 1: married twice and according to him, both his marriage ended
- 59:16Speaker 1: because his wife and he is the key, got lazy
- 59:22Speaker 1: and tried to deprive him of set. Now the key
- 59:26Speaker 1: word in this letter is they got laid, meaning they
- 59:31Speaker 1: didn't want to they didn't feel like it. Uh not.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Now maybe some other times, well yeah, and why is
- 59:42Speaker 1: that because of what he working with here? In that wrong?
- 59:48Speaker 1: You got to know, you got to know, you know
- 59:52Speaker 1: if you blessed or not, and you got to learn
- 59:55Speaker 1: how to distribute your blessings. Okay, you can't just pass
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: out blessing all the time. You got to you got
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: to distribute your blessings differently. Uh huh. We come back.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna share with you some things that people haven't
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: looked at in this letter. You just think she can't
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: handle the way he is. He won't sex all the time,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: and he's wailing down. He's just too much. Well, you know,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: we'll talk about hang on, we'll have part two of
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Steve's response coming up at twenty three minutes after the
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: hour Today's Strawberry Letters, subject I can't do that often.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: All right, we'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Steve, This letter I think
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: deserves the disclaimer. If you have small children in the
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: car writing with you as you listen to this letter,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: you might not want them to hear this one. But
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: having said that, and having said that, let's recap today's
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. You know, the disclaimer is real. But I'm
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: gonna try to be very smart. I'm gonna be very
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: cagy with how to handle this because we all know
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: what we're talking about. This This twenty eight year old
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: girl's dating this for the your old woman that's and wait,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: dating this for the you old man that's been divorced twice.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: And he's been divorced because he say the women were
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: lazy and deprived him of sex and because her he
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: wants it too often. And you've discovered that in dealing
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: with him. But it's not just his high sex drive,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: it's the size of what he dealing with this creating
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: problems for you. Uh. You know, once again, as Sherley
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: and I talked about it at the beginning, I try
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: not to make these letters about me, and I won't
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: own this one right here. But somehow I don't really
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: have all that problem. I had that problem in the
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: past before compleccasions, but then and then I've also had
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: the problem was and where I just wasn't quite enough.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: You know, I've been on both sides of the coin
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: out here talking about what you're doing. Well, damn, hold
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: up now, you know, and get back to the letter. Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: anyway read the letter so anyway, anyway, anyway, it's not
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: just as hidrag. Sex drifts inside too. He's unbelievably well
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: and down. I've setting limits on how often we have sex.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: But I tell him I'm waiting for marriage. That that
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: kind of brought you some time right there. I told
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: him we haven't been together. He claimed you as his
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: third wife. You told him we ain't been together long enough,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: so we need to slow down on the marriage talk.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: I don't like telling him no, but I can't do
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: it as often as he liked, too, and he's too
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: much for me. I feel like I should be the
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: one that's got all the stamina because I'm a lot
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: younger than he is. Girl, you're gonna learn that ain't
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: got nothing to do with it. Nah. We talked about
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: me now, Nah, that's why I come in that now
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: all on now, little girl, oh little girl, Oh, now
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: you know I ain't ain't all of what he is
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: you're talking about. But you know, you know I have
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I have You know, I have had people, you know,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: try to test their breath, you know what I'm saying
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: a couple times, you know here nine Then you know
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I've never had no old lord, I ain't never had
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: nobody like grabbed their clothes and run out of the room.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: You know, just because I walked out the bathroom, anybody
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: went like, I can't try this. You know, I ain't
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: never had that problem anyway. Yeah, h he knows what
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: he's working with, so he should respect my body enough
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: to put a reasonable time limit on the activities in
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: the bedroom. If I'm going to be his third wife,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: I'll have to set some guylines and halfting we're animate.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Do you think this would be a deal break up him?
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: I think at the rate this is going, he will
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: be looking for his fourth wife. That's what I think
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: it's gonna happen. Sirley is absolutely right. You cannot marry
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: this man. He is too much. He is too much
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: for most people. Two women in front of you have
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: tried this and failed. You are number three and you
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: are failing and you ain't even the white see y'all
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: getting there, and thank you you man. Man, you're gonna
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: cut him off just so you can have a husband.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: But you got to deal with all these blessings he gotten.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: He's stupid. He don't know how to do it. Now,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: what this man needs to do is before he starts
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: meeting other women, he's got to have some questions for women.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: He's got to go out this and be a little
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: bit more conniving and a little bit more telity. So, Shirley,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: you're you're about to date me the man in the letter,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: and I'm gonna ask I'm gonna interview you. I'm gonna
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: interview you all right now here. Go let me ask
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: any baby girl? How are you doing to day? Baby? Hi?
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: How are you? Honey? I want to ask you a
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: couple of questions, you know. I know we've been talking
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: about being intimate, but I just ever a couple of questions,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: you know, see, huh okay, let me ask you something
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: right here? When you go to a fast food restaurant
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: and you have to drive through Whenday, do you ever
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: ask for super side? No? No, no, I'm no, I'm
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: trying to, you know, watch my dig here, watch my way.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: We're gonna have problem right here, and they may ask
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: you another question right here? How do you handle extreme pressure?
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I work well under pressure. But okay, that's good. That's good.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: That's good. Right there. Okay, let me ask you a question.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Are you very limber? You know I used to be
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: in my younger day. Were you ever like in the
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: gymnastics a chilly or anything like that? Yeah? Okay, well
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: that ain't good right there? When the last time you
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: had surgery? Surgery? Third, do you do well with anesthesia
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: and stuff like that? I've never really had sera? And
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: one last question right here? Uh do you have insures? Yes? Oh?
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Well I don't think you and I should be dating. Yeah,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: I don't think so. Why you probably wondered why I
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: asked you questions like that. Oh, it's just a little
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: problem I've had in the past. Leave your comments on
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Instagram and Steve Harvey FM on Today's Strawberry Letters. Oh
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: you can't hand the surgery at open check out the
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter podcast and coming on demand. Coming up next
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Sports Talk with Junior. Oh lord, you're listening to morning show.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: All right, it is time now for Junior and Sports Talk. Junior.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: What you got well? Early man? Kyrie Irvin has his
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: contract terminated with Nike of the deal was set to
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: expire October first, twenty twenty three. He had the release
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: of his new Kyrie Irvin h You coming out. They've
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: scrapped all of that. Is this really fair for Kyrie up?
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I don't think it is. Man, The man has apologized, apologized,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: He's doing all the things they asked him to do. Man,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: you can't keep whipping this man for this man. And
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: once again, I don't not really familiar with the movie
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: that he posted on his site. But here's my question
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: is what has been done about the people who made
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: the damn movie? What has been done about the site
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: that's been putting the movie up? You can still get
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: the movie out from what I understand. Yeah, so why
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: don't they go after them? Well, the CEO of Amazon
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: says he has no plans of taking the movie. Yeah,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: they're sending nakes. He said that last week. Huh. See,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: So why why y'all still dogging Kyrie. I don't the
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: man apologize? You can't listen, man, ain't nobody fit the
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: crawl back? Now? The man apologized, he realized it hurts
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: some people. He said that, I think Nike backing out
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: on the dude is wrong. Man. I mean he went
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: through sensitivity training. He did that, he's doing all that,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: all that, and he's still ticket from him. Man. So hey, man,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: carry here another news too. Man, Your boy Baker Mayfield
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: has been weighed by the Carolina Panthers. But Houston Texas
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: ain't saying nothing like we don't need him. We just
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: gonna let him just sit out here. We ain't gonna
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: grand We're good. We're good. We're going to the draft.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: So we had speaking of that, man. Football college football
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: playoffs it's been announced. Un you got number one Georgia
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: thirteen old verses, number four Ohio State eleven to one,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: and then you got number two Michigan playing up against TCU.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: There's number three. Who you who you see winning this? Good? Man? Man? Yeah, George,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: look real, Georgia, ain't none of them, ain't none of
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: them whipping George. I'm from Ohio State, y'all, I'm pulling
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: my whole I posted on my Instagram. Yeah, I sent
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: a post in for Glenville High School, public school in Cleveland,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: to win a national state championship. First Senate school. Nobody
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: ever from the East Senate. We ain't even got a band.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Glenville doesn't even have a plan. The other high school
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: band had to play at the game. Yea Heights High
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: the little suburban school had to play at our game. Coach,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Glennville ain't even got no band. Now, all right there,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: George is gonna win the whole damn thing. This didn't
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: look good or high. Steak gonna get They asked, though
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: that they played George, Thank you, Junior, Thank you. Steve.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Steve Harvey
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: FM listener has a question about liking, loving, and lusting. Steve,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: we'll hear about that right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: all right, So Tamikla and Baltimore. Steve wrote, Um, I'm
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: thirty two years old and I've been engaged for four years.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: My fiance and I got into an argument and he
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: said he's in love with me, and he's in love
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: with my body, but he can't stand me most of
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: the time, he said, this is why we can't confirm
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: a wedding date. I'm glad I finally know how he
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: feels about me. Do I need to pause our relationship
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: if he doesn't like me? Our love and lust enough
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: for a marriage. Oh no, no, no, no no no,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: oh no no no no no, no, no no no.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Love is absolutely necessary. But if you don't like a person,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: come on, that's I don't care how good the sex
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: is and how fine your body is. If y'all get
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: through having sex and y'all talking and he don't like
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: the person he's talking to, y'all don't need to get married.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: This is doom. You know. I love you, but I
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: don't like you. What you gotta like? Man? Like it?
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: You're with them twenty four seven, you're with them. You
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: got to like this person. Man. Y'all gotta watch TV.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: Y'all gotta ride in a car. Y'all got to go
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: to the stove. Yeah, y'all gotta watch a move. Y'all
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: gotta go to dinner sitting cross table somebody you don't like.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: I don't give a damn about loving you. Yeah, man,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: that's terrible for us. You gotta like the person. Yeah,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: trust and believe that like is important? Is love and lust?
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: No enough for marriage. First of all, let me explain, uh,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: you you will not be having sex the majority of
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: the time. I promise you you're not. You should be
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: doing a lot right now. No, you don't understand Junior
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: and his parties they married late. They main these ain't
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: twenty year olds. No, yeah, every oh yeah, everything gets
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: escalated once you get married older. You skip all the stages,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: the honeymoon stage in right after the honeymoon. Yeah, we
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: got to get on the fast track. Now, baby, were dying,
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: we die? Yeah, I remember they tell you that. Who
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: I'm tell you right now. You get sixty five, it's
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: on your mind a lot. Now I'm living. I feel
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: pretty healthy. But who every time I cut the news on, yeah, man,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I see a six in their birth and in their death.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: But uh, we passed away. Sixty eight year old died
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: three years. Yeah, okay, you get scared, especially this time
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: of year. You get a lot of death. At the
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: man standing one that's six year. Hold on, man, I
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: got getting more time than that, you know. So it's
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: just it's just you start thinking about you know, longevity. Yeah,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: the older you get because you start losing people, you know. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: it's happening. So marriage, man, once you getting married later
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: on in life, you've got to escalate this thing. Man. Yeah,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: I put your foot on gas better. She's married. You
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: can make it to the end of the tape. But
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: when the tape right there, they're crossing the tape where yeah,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: we just started out, what's no but to answer the
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: question though, life is extremely important, very yeah. So yeah,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: so she does need to pause the relationship, you're saying, yeah,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: because that's what she's asking. Yeah, I mean, look at
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: a girl. All the time, you argue with a person
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: you don't like because the least little thing they do
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: get on your damn nerve. Yeah. Yeah, she said he
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: can't stand her most of the time, most of the time.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Tell me that, well after four years they've been together.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Four years. No, you coming down the eye with your
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: win and dress on. He holland at you, Harry, I'm
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: bring your hands down. I don't like you anyway. Yeah,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: not a good look. Not a good look at all.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: All right, to Nichel, I hope we Um helped you.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: I hope Steve helped you with this one. Yeah, all right,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: coming up in twenty minutes, gonna be so fat. Yeah,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right. So, along with fastening your
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: seatbelt and placing your seat in an upright position, flight
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: cruise always ask us to put our cell phones in
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: airplane mode before takeoff. Well, come to find out, only
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: forty percent of passengers actually do it. The FAA believes
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: that cell phones may interfere with the cockpit takeoff, during
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: takeoff and landing, but there are no real studies to
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: prove if this is true or not. So, Steve, I
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: got to ask you, do you have Do you put
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: your cell phone? Uh in airplane mode on your jet?
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Do you do that? I don't put my phone on
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: airplane mode on commercial flight. You're part of the problem,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: you heart of the problem. And why not let everybody
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: else put theirs on airplane mode and we do? I? Yeah,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: something happening. I got to be able to call somebody. Yeah, no,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: you know, seriously, like Okay, for example, let's say an
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: incident breaks out on the plane. Let's somebody is up
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: there doing something elite I need to call police somebody.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: You ain't got no service up there for see once
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: you can't come way up there. Private jet rules are
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: different different, I'm private private jet five g Huh, all right,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: all right, rule breaker, Steve. Uh. We'll have more of
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty three

- 1:16:56Speaker 1: a good. No, we can not share bad, that's out
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: the question. Hell I had to go to a whole
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: another room or something. Oh no, a lot of married
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: couples share bathroom. No we don't. We don't know. I
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: had to go, I'd be a whole another damn room.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: H and no, she talked all your products. Oh my sad.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: That's why her up everything, make up all this, why
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: I'm finning, put my suff and then she want to
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: talk all the time I'm in the bathroom. I don't
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: like gout the dough. Quit open in the dough. Why
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: look at this? Why do you lock the door because
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: I don't want nobody in hell? All right? Would you
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: rather public displays of affection public displays? Or would you
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: rather just be only affectionate in private? It's just you guys.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Oh you're a little bit of both. I can't pick
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: the one one or the other. Oh, well, then I
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: gotta have it in private, right, Yeah, you had to pick.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: There you go. I happy to show as soon as
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: they shut this dope. You've been looking all good to day.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: I'm going to show you something soon, all right. Would
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: you rather eight hours of uninterrupted sleep or eight hours
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: on the new beach? I didn't understand the city. Would
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: you rather eight hours just uninterrupted sleep, just eight hours
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: of some good, good sleep? Or would you rather eight
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: hours on a new beach? All right? Take I ain't
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: gonna sleep eight hours, No, damn. We might as well
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: be up to see something. The only problem is I've
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: been the two new beachers. But I've been to two
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: new beaches. You know what, I've discovered. Every Body on
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: the New Beach don't need to be on the damn news.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: I've never seen nobody. I've never seen nobody on the
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: New Beach. While I went, ever, everybody I've seen on
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: the New beach need to put their damn clothes on.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Take you where you No, I wasn't new I was
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: on I was on a cruise ship one time, and
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: you and one of the excursions was to go to
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: the beach. You go to the New Beach. It was
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: in a Guila or something like that. And and and
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: they had a wall, a little short wall about two
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: feet and I sat right next to the wall because
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: I wanted to be over there by the new side. Everybody,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: all them glass people on over that side. I was
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: just holding man, what nothing? All right? That's today around it?
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: Would you rather coming up in forty nine minutes after
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: we'll close out the show. It's our last break of
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: the day. Right after this you're listening to show. All right, guys,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: here we are our last break of the day. And
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: Steve say, you know, I'm so glad that I don't
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: have to do close remarks about this election anymore. I
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: just want to say thank you to everybody, and George
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: who went to the polls, who got counted. Let this
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: be a lesson to those of you that set out
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: the election. It matters if you look at the real numbers.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: You look at how close it was. Your vote matter.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: It really really did. Get off of this foolishness that
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: your vote don't matter and stop listening to people who
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: tell you stuff like that, because your vote does matter.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: If your vote don't matter, then okay, what do I'm
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: especially when when it comes to issues in politics I'm
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: talking about you can make it without any one of
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: them politicians. You don't need now one of them to
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: make it. I got that, and I understand. I'm a
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: man of faith, I understand that. But voting is essential. Man.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: I just think it's the right that we owe to
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: our forefathers and ancestors and generations before us that paid
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: so heavily or cost for us to vote. So thank
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: you to the voters of Georgia. Now that we got
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: that out the way, I was thinking to myself the
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: other day I got hit with a question. I was
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: doing an interview for some magazine something, and they said,
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, if you had to break down your life
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: and your career to two things, what would you attribute
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: your success to? And without hesitation, the two things are
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: very very clear to me. It is hard work and faith.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: Those two things have been the cornerstone of everything that
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: I've ever gone through, survived, struggle with overcome and everything
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: that I am. I am the son of a coal
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: miner and a Sunday school teacher. My mother never worked
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: a day in her life. My mother has not had
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: one day of employment anywhere on a job. My father
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: has done nothing but work. When I was born, my
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: father was a cold miner in Welsh West Virginia. I
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: watched my father go to work when he came to
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Cleveland became a construction worker. I watched my father go
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: to work with the flu I saw my father go
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: to work when his mother died. I saw my father
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: go to work when he buried his brother. I saw
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: my father go to work when it was just it
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: was just atrociously hot. I saw him go to work
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: when he was hella cold. I only seen my father
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: in his life to stay home twice two times because
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: I was at the house every day. So that coal
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: mine of construction worker, he taught me a work ethic
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: that has allowed me to sustain. And I praise God
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: for that work ethic because it is a huge part
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: of my success. Now. That woman that didn't leave the
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: house every day was because of him, Because he left
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: the house every day so she wouldn't have to. Now,
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: they survived in a different time. I'll give you that.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: But I admired that man. But my mama was a
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: Sunday school teaching for over forty years. My mama taught
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: me about faith. My mama taught me about Jesus Christ.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: My mama taught me about prayer. My mama taught me
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: old spiritual him quiet song for Lord, ha Mercy. Them
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: two together. It's why I am who I am and
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: where I am, where I'm at, and how I got
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: through everything I've been through and those same truths, those
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: same two things are available to you, but you got
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: to develop them. So what you mean by that, Steve,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: You have to develop a work ethic? Well, how do
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: I go about doing that? You got to put some
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: time in. Yeah. I was listening to an interview with
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: Mike Tyson other day and they were talking about how
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: Mike Tyson said that are some people who are great
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: at stuff and some people that's great people, and he
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: wanted to be a great person. He said, don't get
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: confused with people who do great things and great people
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: because you do great things don't make you a great person.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: And he was talking about the work ethic, and then
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: the guy the interview was saying, well, it's because you're
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: a fighter, because you're gifted. He said, yeah, but if
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: you don't work at the guilt, he said, what you got?
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: And do you know how true of a statement that is.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: You could be a gifted singer, but if you don't
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: work at it, you're just a gifted singer. You've got
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: to put it into work. You can build up your
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: work ethic by practicing the work ethic. You got to
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: get up when you don't feel like it. You have
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: to be disciplined. You've got to discipline yourself to do
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: the things that you have to do, even when you
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: don't want to do them. You've got to develop that discipline.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: You've got to be willing to go out that door
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: every day when you feel like laying there. You got
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: to get up and answer another lam when you feel
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: like laying there. You got to practice not hitting the
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: snooze button. You got to practice when the larm go off,
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: I get up, I jump. But if you practice hitting
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: the snooze button, didn't guess what you get good at
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: hitting the snooze button. I ain't saying you can't hit it.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: I'm just saying, think about it. That are people who
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: have their life built around hitting that snooze button three times? Well,
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: that's what you get good at. But wouldn't wouldn't it
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: be just as fine if you got good at just
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: getting up. I mean, you're hitting the snooze button. All
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: you're doing is waiting on it to go off in
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: seven minutes. Again, you have to practice work, ethic, put
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: some time into it, just like you got to practice faith.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: You got to keep believing when it looks unbelievable. You
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: got to believe in it. Man, when everybody telling you
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: it ain't no way. You got to say, watch this,
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: I believe God could do anything but fail. You got
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: to put some time into it. Work ethic and faith
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: can be the cornerstone off your success. You just gotta
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: put some time in. Those are my closing remarks to day.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: So glad I ain't got to talk about hurt you
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: walking no more. Thank you lord y'all, enjoy your day.
