- 1:46Speaker 3: the water of the money up, looking me, come come out,
- 1:59Speaker 3: you're think.
- 2:02Speaker 7: I sure, well, good morning everybody. You are listening to
- 2:06Speaker 7: the voice, come on dig me now. One and only
- 2:09Speaker 7: Steve Harvey got a radio show, man on Man on man.
- 2:16Speaker 7: I thank God for it. I thank God for all
- 2:19Speaker 7: he's done for me, for all the little things that
- 2:22Speaker 7: I oftentimes failed to thank him for that I take
- 2:26Speaker 7: for granted for you know, I was talking the other
- 2:32Speaker 7: day to a buddy of mine. We had gotten to
- 2:36Speaker 7: this conversation about God and.
- 2:39Speaker 2: And in the.
- 2:41Speaker 7: Conversation we had narrowed it down and we were talking
- 2:43Speaker 7: about changing the way we are as people. You know
- 2:47Speaker 7: that everybody has to change. You know, nothing stays the same.
- 2:52Speaker 7: Everybody changes, and a lot of these changes can be
- 2:57Speaker 7: for the good, and a lot of them are just
- 2:59Speaker 7: they just come with time.
- 3:00Speaker 2: You know.
- 3:01Speaker 7: Sometimes it's aging that changes us. But no matter how
- 3:05Speaker 7: old you get, you still have the ability to improve
- 3:11Speaker 7: as a person. You may not have the footspeed you
- 3:15Speaker 7: used to have. You may not be as agile as
- 3:19Speaker 7: you used to be. Your energy level may not be
- 3:24Speaker 7: what it used to be. Your desire to do some
- 3:28Speaker 7: of the things that you used to do may be gone.
- 3:33Speaker 2: The thing that.
- 3:36Speaker 7: Doesn't have to change and will not change is you.
- 3:41Speaker 7: You have the ability to continue to grow as a person,
- 3:48Speaker 7: even when far the time and nature has taken its course.
- 3:55Speaker 7: We were talking about everybody can change and everybody has
- 4:05Speaker 7: the right to reinvent themselves as they get older, and
- 4:11Speaker 7: I equated it to jumping out of an airplane. You know,
- 4:16Speaker 7: there are some people man who get to a certain
- 4:18Speaker 7: point in their life and they and they jump from
- 4:21Speaker 7: the airplane is now almost a stunt of some kind.
- 4:27Speaker 7: It's almost like they lifed and got out of control.
- 4:30Speaker 7: You ever seen somebody jump out an airplane and the
- 4:33Speaker 7: parachute don't open and they life start and it seems
- 4:36Speaker 7: like they start spinning and tumbling and they can't get
- 4:39Speaker 7: it together. And I've seen some mid air rescues before.
- 4:42Speaker 7: But then there are times when you know when it
- 4:45Speaker 7: hasn't worked. You know, you jump out that airplane and
- 4:49Speaker 7: at first it's fun. I've never scott dived before, but
- 4:54Speaker 7: I would imagine when you first jump out of an
- 4:57Speaker 7: airplane that they people describe it as a a sense
- 5:00Speaker 7: of being free, and it's exhilarating when you first jump
- 5:05Speaker 7: out the plane.
- 5:06Speaker 2: But if you pull that cord and nothing happens.
- 5:09Speaker 7: I never happened to me, but I can only imagine
- 5:14Speaker 7: the panic that's got to set in because no matter
- 5:18Speaker 7: how fun it was a moment ago, the flying over
- 5:22Speaker 7: to one another, holding hands in the air, the breeze,
- 5:26Speaker 7: the descent, the feeling of all of a sudden, if
- 5:32Speaker 7: you reach for that cord and it's not there, you're
- 5:35Speaker 7: suddenly spinning out of control. And that's what happens in
- 5:39Speaker 7: a lot of people's lives. When you first start your life,
- 5:42Speaker 7: you jump out the plane, You free, You young, you
- 5:45Speaker 7: ain't got nothing to.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Worry about it.
- 5:46Speaker 7: But then you get to a certain point in your
- 5:48Speaker 7: life when you go, okay, I'm gonna pull the cord now.
- 5:53Speaker 7: And pulling the cord is an important thing because here's
- 5:57Speaker 7: the analogy my friend gave me. He said, man, use
- 6:03Speaker 7: your mind like a parachute. It works better when it's open. Well,
- 6:09Speaker 7: see what happens with a lot of people is they
- 6:13Speaker 7: in life. They jump out the plane and they having
- 6:18Speaker 7: this free fall and it's fun for now. But they
- 6:22Speaker 7: get to a certain point in their life where they
- 6:24Speaker 7: got themself in a situation, or they've had a little
- 6:27Speaker 7: bit too much fun a little bit too long, or
- 6:30Speaker 7: you know, they wasn't open to nothing and they just
- 6:33Speaker 7: did what they wanted to do, or they started getting
- 6:35Speaker 7: involved with drugs or drinking, or started running with.
- 6:38Speaker 2: The wrong people. See you jump out the plane.
- 6:40Speaker 7: At first, you're free falling this fun, but then after
- 6:43Speaker 7: a minute, man, something happens and they realize whoa and
- 6:46Speaker 7: they reach for their cord and the chord don't work.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Well.
- 6:49Speaker 7: Now you're in the panic stricken situation. And my suggestion
- 6:53Speaker 7: that what I've learned from the analogy that my friends
- 6:55Speaker 7: shared with me is that we all the sooner we
- 6:58Speaker 7: can open our minds to God, the sooner we could
- 7:02Speaker 7: develop that relationship with Him. It's like pulling the chord
- 7:08Speaker 7: and opening a parachute. If you open up your mind
- 7:11Speaker 7: to God, God is like a parachute. You know, God
- 7:16Speaker 7: can slow your descent. God can turn this out of
- 7:21Speaker 7: control freefall into a nice ride for you. See, that's
- 7:27Speaker 7: what happened to me. I was spinning out of control.
- 7:32Speaker 7: I had gotten myself into a point man where I
- 7:36Speaker 7: wasn't doing real good. Oh, y'all would look at me
- 7:39Speaker 7: and think, man, stevee man. Now I wasn't doing real good.
- 7:46Speaker 7: I had spun out of control. I was in a
- 7:49Speaker 7: free fall, and I reached for the chord, but I
- 7:53Speaker 7: was so far away the chord didn't open. Then I
- 7:56Speaker 7: went to him and I pulled the chord. When I
- 7:59Speaker 7: went to God, I pulled the cord and open and
- 8:02Speaker 7: he slowed my descent.
- 8:05Speaker 2: And this is what I just believe. I don't believe.
- 8:07Speaker 7: Now that I age as fast as I was aging,
- 8:11Speaker 7: because I got that parachute open. Now, you know, I
- 8:13Speaker 7: take better care of myself, eating, I work out more.
- 8:16Speaker 7: Now you know I'm not out of control. I have
- 8:20Speaker 7: a direction now that win. Then got up under that
- 8:24Speaker 7: parachute a little bit, you know, And now I'm I'm
- 8:27Speaker 7: going You know, I'm still getting older, you know so,
- 8:30Speaker 7: but the descent is so slow. Now I'm able to
- 8:34Speaker 7: enjoy the ride. I'm guiding my parachute over. Sometimes we
- 8:38Speaker 7: go over to to a vacation spot over here, we
- 8:41Speaker 7: float back over to it. But you know, I'm still
- 8:43Speaker 7: getting old. I'm still going down. But the descent because
- 8:48Speaker 7: I've opened my mind to God, the parachute has slowed
- 8:53Speaker 7: my descent. And now I'm rocking back and forth. But
- 8:57Speaker 7: I ain't spending out of control no more. You know,
- 8:59Speaker 7: I'm I'm able to enjoy the view now. You know,
- 9:03Speaker 7: when you jump out that plane and you pull that
- 9:05Speaker 7: cord and it don't work, you ain't looking at the
- 9:08Speaker 7: view no more. You're thinking of only one thing. How
- 9:10Speaker 7: can I slow this down? Well, now I'm able to
- 9:12Speaker 7: enjoy the view. I'm able to see all the beautiful
- 9:16Speaker 7: things on the horizon that God has for me. I'm
- 9:19Speaker 7: able to see all the beautiful things around me that
- 9:22Speaker 7: He's provided for me over these years. Because I've slowed
- 9:26Speaker 7: my descent. I use my mind like a parachute. It
- 9:31Speaker 7: works better when it's open. Open your mind to God,
- 9:35Speaker 7: and so you can see the view, so you can
- 9:38Speaker 7: slow the descent, so you can stop the out of
- 9:41Speaker 7: control free fall that you've been on, that you can
- 9:44Speaker 7: get your life together and see everything out on the
- 9:47Speaker 7: horizon that God has for you.
- 9:49Speaker 2: You know.
- 9:49Speaker 7: It turned out to be a very true statement your mind.
- 9:53Speaker 7: If you use it like a parachute, it works better
- 9:55Speaker 7: when it's open.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Y'all, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, Good morning, Welcome to the ride. This
- 10:06Speaker 7: is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Gather yourselves, gather your thoughts,
- 10:11Speaker 7: and above all else, gather your gratitude. Put it in
- 10:14Speaker 7: a bucket and send it up to heaven and tell
- 10:16Speaker 7: God you appreciate everything he's ever done for you, everything
- 10:19Speaker 7: he's ever been to you, and everything he's ever brought
- 10:22Speaker 7: you through. And it's just bucket loads and stuff. So
- 10:25Speaker 7: start today with gratitude. It will affect your attitude, which
- 10:29Speaker 7: is in direct correlation with your altitude.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Get it together, y'all.
- 10:34Speaker 7: Steve Harvey Morning Show, Shirley Strawberry call it for real,
- 10:38Speaker 7: Junior steal out and the legend that is Nephew Tommy.

- 10:45Speaker 8: Well, Carla had a question, and Tommy, yes, Carlin, it's
- 10:48Speaker 8: a vacation time. Fourth of July, America's birthday is coming up.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I got planned the.
- 10:58Speaker 7: Earth, the country, I would I have some I have
- 11:06Speaker 7: a couple of vacation suggestions. Not where to do, but
- 11:12Speaker 7: just a couple of suggestions. If you don't really do
- 11:17Speaker 7: it at home, don't do it on vacation.
- 11:23Speaker 1: What do you mean excursions?
- 11:25Speaker 8: Now?
- 11:25Speaker 7: Stop wrinting these mopads and you ain't been on the
- 11:30Speaker 7: moped in a while. It's different now you done told
- 11:34Speaker 7: your knee cap off on the mountain?
- 11:38Speaker 1: Wow, hike because you.
- 11:40Speaker 7: Don't forgot what side you're supposed to drive on. Now
- 11:44Speaker 7: here come a car? Now you doe ran up into
- 11:46Speaker 7: the mountain and tow your knee cap off. Stop riding
- 11:51Speaker 7: on these banana boats or the number one?
- 11:56Speaker 2: We did that?
- 11:57Speaker 7: You bigger than the banana Number two you don't have
- 12:03Speaker 7: the handstrip to hold on. And number three U can't swim.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Stop doing that. Stop pass sailing, and it's not what
- 12:17Speaker 2: you do.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Tommy did that right?
- 12:20Speaker 2: You know you scared the heights while you up there.
- 12:24Speaker 1: But what are you supposed to do? Nothing?
- 12:27Speaker 2: See, you gotta be careful with excursions.
- 12:32Speaker 7: Go ahead now the ones at the hotel, they're gonna
- 12:35Speaker 7: put you in the van with a bunch of other people.
- 12:37Speaker 7: You know you can go on that if you want to.
- 12:39Speaker 7: I don't like all that. My suggestion is pick the
- 12:42Speaker 7: resort that you love. Stay there, eat they.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Food, enjoy their activities.
- 12:51Speaker 7: Get your nice little lounge chair out on that beach
- 12:54Speaker 7: with an umbreiling.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and set your tail down, sir, Can I can
- 13:01Speaker 2: I go? Can we go? Horseback?
- 13:03Speaker 4: All?
- 13:03Speaker 2: At the waterfall? Busted your ankle up? What each? Can
- 13:07Speaker 2: we go horseback rack? You don't ride horses here?
- 13:13Speaker 1: Well, that's why you go on vacation to do different stuff.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Now you don't. You don't know how to ride a horse?
- 13:20Speaker 1: Can we go?
- 13:21Speaker 2: Horston? Red up? You don't know what to do? Now?
- 13:24Speaker 7: The horse just stepped on your ankle. Your ankle, don't
- 13:27Speaker 7: work over it no more?
- 13:30Speaker 2: All right?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Dang it makes you want to stay home, doesn't it mean?

- 23:01Speaker 8: my wife never answers her phone, but if she calls me,
- 23:04Speaker 8: I have to answer on the first ring. I trust
- 23:08Speaker 8: her and honestly don't have time to wonder what she's
- 23:11Speaker 8: doing all the time. I'd like for her to give
- 23:14Speaker 8: me that same respect. Will her behavior change ever?
- 23:18Speaker 1: Change?
- 23:18Speaker 8: No?
- 23:19Speaker 2: No, she's locked in.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Because you do it, because he does it.
- 23:24Speaker 7: Well, it's she's been hurt before and this is her

- 23:40Speaker 7: I hate to tell you that, but you can't train her.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Train her?
- 23:44Speaker 2: Yeah, what does that mean? Behavior better?
- 23:47Speaker 7: I mean I said it to women too. I've always
- 23:48Speaker 7: said women can a man's trainable. I've always said, quit
- 23:52Speaker 7: asking your phone on the first run. Yeah, yeah, your
- 23:57Speaker 7: phone sometimes.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Like her like she does.

- 24:36Speaker 8: sick of feeling like the odd man out in my
- 24:39Speaker 8: own home. How do I get my mother to understand
- 24:42Speaker 8: my feeling?
- 24:44Speaker 7: You ain't got but one way, just to worry. You
- 24:45Speaker 7: gotta get your mama to house. That's all you got.

- 24:57Speaker 1: Well, what if she has nowhere to go?
- 25:00Speaker 2: Another buster?
- 25:04Speaker 10: Where's she comform whatever? Nephew Tommy, Yeah, well, I mean

- 25:13Speaker 10: come for?
- 25:14Speaker 2: Yeah? She doesn't say, yeah, help her get back over there?
- 25:20Speaker 1: All right? So that's the bottom line.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Just you gotta get out your house.
- 25:25Speaker 9: Man. I know.
- 25:28Speaker 1: That is cold, all right.
- 25:32Speaker 8: Moving on to Torrance in Atlanta, Torrance writes, I've been
- 25:35Speaker 8: married for eight years, and it's back to basics during
- 25:39Speaker 8: sex because my wife doesn't do any of the fun
- 25:41Speaker 8: stuff anymore.
- 25:42Speaker 1: She said, she's too tired to do those things.
- 25:45Speaker 7: Now.
- 25:45Speaker 8: I'm tired too, but that would help me relax. Why
- 25:49Speaker 8: does she get mad about it?
- 25:52Speaker 2: I don't know why your wife get mad.
- 25:55Speaker 1: She might have some insight.

- 26:13Speaker 2: Stop putting my heel back there. You don't go back
- 26:16Speaker 2: there no more.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Okay, I'm all right. Well that was fun, he said,
- 26:26Speaker 1: she doesn't do any of the fun stuff anymore.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Well, you know the fun stuff.
- 26:30Speaker 11: I mean.
- 26:32Speaker 2: It was fun to you, baby. I don't know, man, Hey, look.
- 26:35Speaker 7: Mad, hey, brother, Look, I don't know what's going on.
- 26:38Speaker 7: Look look, look, mad I don't know if your wife
- 26:42Speaker 7: y'all been married eight years?
- 26:43Speaker 2: Do you have kids?
- 26:44Speaker 9: Now?
- 26:44Speaker 2: That could have changed everything? She said. She tired a lot. Yeah,
- 26:47Speaker 2: she probably working in them kids, and she just ain't
- 26:50Speaker 2: got the energy for all that.
- 26:51Speaker 7: When y'all first got married and she was trying to
- 26:53Speaker 7: hook you, Oh, they got energy for everything.
- 26:57Speaker 2: So they do everything chicks as soon as they get
- 27:02Speaker 2: in the dome.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Ain't nobody doing all that?
- 27:06Speaker 8: And what she said it sounds so final what she said.
- 27:09Speaker 8: Her answer was, I don't. I'm too tired. I'm not
- 27:12Speaker 8: doing those things like anymore ever again you know, well, yeah,
- 27:18Speaker 8: so I don't do this, and honest answers, I don't.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I don't. I don't like monkey flips, go ahead. What
- 27:26Speaker 2: I don't like monkey flips? That go ahead? Because I
- 27:30Speaker 2: used to. But I don't like him no more.
- 27:32Speaker 8: But I have a serious question because he wants her
- 27:35Speaker 8: to do that, and she says she's not doing it now.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Will that make him want to cheat or go outside
- 27:41Speaker 1: of his that will do what he wants to do?
- 27:45Speaker 7: Yeah, because he won't say fun stuff back. If you
- 27:49Speaker 7: ain't gonna give it to him here, gonna go somewhere

- 32:53Speaker 8: comedian Bill maher ridiculed the Obama Presidential Center, which opened
- 32:57Speaker 8: in Chicago last week on juneteenth. He said, in part quote,
- 33:01Speaker 8: it looks like something Aliens built in Dubai. It costs
- 33:04Speaker 8: eight hundred and fifty million dollars, and he said, I
- 33:08Speaker 8: don't understand why progressives like this. I don't understand why
- 33:11Speaker 8: progressives like this do these sorts of things. Couldn't that,
- 33:15Speaker 8: you know, money be better spent on something else. Who's
- 33:18Speaker 8: going to go to this? Well everybody there's like a
- 33:21Speaker 8: waiting list until October.
- 33:22Speaker 7: So far he's an atheist. Yeah yeah, so I once
- 33:28Speaker 7: I got that out, man quitd have asked me to
- 33:30Speaker 7: come on your show. All I ain't got nothing to
- 33:32Speaker 7: do with you. I just that's not my style. Cat
- 33:37Speaker 7: what and he got all over the place but Bill
- 33:39Speaker 7: Maher used to be cool.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Dude. Man, I don't know what happened. I thought he was.
- 33:43Speaker 2: I thought he was.
- 33:44Speaker 7: Yeah, I saw Ice Cbe check him though, But see
- 33:47Speaker 7: he didn't checked him, shappaled and checked him.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Everybody's down to check me, you know some You know, man, when.
- 33:51Speaker 7: You get older, some people get older and they start,
- 33:54Speaker 7: you know, going off the rails a bit. I'm just
- 33:57Speaker 7: trying to be conscious of that as I get older,
- 34:01Speaker 7: that I remember who I am, where I'm from, what
- 34:03Speaker 7: my job and my mission is, and don't lose sight
- 34:06Speaker 7: of that because you out of touch now. Yeah, see
- 34:09Speaker 7: what happens is man, you get this money and you
- 34:11Speaker 7: get out of touch. You okay, Man, It's okay to
- 34:16Speaker 7: do well with your life. Man, It's okay to move
- 34:19Speaker 7: and go see things and explore. But you ain't gonna
- 34:23Speaker 7: you ain't gonna take nobody with you. You ain't gonna
- 34:26Speaker 7: show nobody how to get there. You're gonna act like
- 34:31Speaker 7: you had it together this whole time. That that's how
- 34:34Speaker 7: you're gonna play it. Well.
- 34:36Speaker 2: I've always had this together. I always knew I would
- 34:39Speaker 2: be here.
- 34:39Speaker 7: I was fascinated and with how many people don't make
- 34:43Speaker 7: it I'm just just troubles me that you can't pull
- 34:45Speaker 7: yourself up by your bootshirt.
- 34:47Speaker 10: What Yeah, yeah, bruh, that's who you are. Now you've
- 34:52Speaker 10: got to talk Steve Well.
- 34:53Speaker 7: You know, It's like when that guy stopped Kanye when
- 34:57Speaker 7: he went up to TMZ that time, that brother named Van,
- 35:01Speaker 7: and he said, it just you're troubling me because you've
- 35:03Speaker 7: morphed into this person who and you used to be
- 35:08Speaker 7: so in touch with us that that affected Kan Kanye,
- 35:12Speaker 7: and Kanye went to that dude and had a real
- 35:14Speaker 7: conversation and apologized to him because you know, he went
- 35:17Speaker 7: up there and said slavery was an option or whatever
- 35:19Speaker 7: he said, yeah, you know, and that dude just went
- 35:23Speaker 7: off on him real intellectually, but it affected Kanye, and
- 35:27Speaker 7: Kanye later on said, I can't believe ain't nobody in
- 35:31Speaker 7: my team stopped me.
- 35:33Speaker 2: You told him to take you up there, and they
- 35:34Speaker 2: took you up there. Yeah.
- 35:37Speaker 7: If I said something like that, I'm going up I'm
- 35:40Speaker 7: gonna go say that y'all have stopped me on this show.
- 35:42Speaker 2: I can't count the times.
- 35:45Speaker 7: Collar and Shirt and Mrnica have stopped me y'all from
- 35:50Speaker 7: saying some stuff. And I thought it was a good idea.
- 35:54Speaker 7: And then and then they said, I'll say and they go,
- 35:57Speaker 7: what what did you just say? And he the dump
- 36:00Speaker 7: button because we have an eight second delayed so when
- 36:04Speaker 7: we're talking, everything is eight seconds later. So they have
- 36:07Speaker 7: a dump button where you can dump. I can't tell
- 36:10Speaker 7: you how many times they ain't press it. You've been
- 36:13Speaker 7: dumped a lot.
- 36:14Speaker 8: Yeah, because you didn't run it by anybody. You just
- 36:16Speaker 8: blurted it out. Wait what did you just say?
- 36:20Speaker 2: I see how I said that. Oh no, you're not no, no, no,
- 36:23Speaker 2: not in this show.
- 36:25Speaker 7: And their main reason from stopping me is to protect
- 36:29Speaker 7: their job on the show. So they have a job.
- 36:32Speaker 7: You're not fit to get. This show took off the air.
- 36:35Speaker 2: And we are of work too.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Oh no, sir, mister, we protect you. But there's nothing
- 36:41Speaker 1: but love for you.
- 36:42Speaker 9: We have for you.
- 36:43Speaker 10: And as I think, as celebrities, they have a bunch
- 36:45Speaker 10: of yes people around exactly.
- 36:49Speaker 2: And you you got some hell no people.
- 36:56Speaker 7: And you know what Boomerang told me that he said, dog,
- 36:58Speaker 7: the good thing about you as you've always listened, yesh,
- 37:02Speaker 7: people that have advised you.
- 37:04Speaker 2: I do it anyway?
- 37:05Speaker 9: What do like?
- 37:06Speaker 2: I say? This is my show?
- 37:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, you haven't letting your ego get out
- 37:10Speaker 1: of control.
- 37:11Speaker 8: Yeah yeah, all right, coming up in twenty minutes after
- 37:15Speaker 8: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right
- 37:18Speaker 8: after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hey, listeners,
- 37:27Speaker 8: A Leave has a.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Question for you.
- 37:29Speaker 8: Do you remember what it felt like when back pain
- 37:32Speaker 8: didn't take over your day? You'd bend, twist, sit, stand
- 37:36Speaker 8: without even thinking about it. Well, that feeling didn't go
- 37:40Speaker 8: anywhere thanks to A leave. With just one dose, A
- 37:44Speaker 8: leave gives you long lasting back pain relief for up
- 37:47Speaker 8: to twelve hours, so you can get back to moving
- 37:50Speaker 8: the way you used to feel. A leave use as
- 37:54Speaker 8: directed for minor aches and pains. All right, guys, So
- 37:57Speaker 8: remember during the last segment we talked about be Et Awards.
- 38:01Speaker 1: It's going down this Sunday, Steve, you.
- 38:04Speaker 8: And Cedric the Entertainer hosted the very first be Et Awards.
- 38:08Speaker 1: That was back in two thousand and one.
- 38:10Speaker 8: Very first too, Shirley, Okay, very first too. Oh wow
- 38:14Speaker 8: in Las Vegas? Yeah, in Las Vegas. So how does
- 38:17Speaker 8: it feel that you and said basically set the tone
- 38:21Speaker 8: for the awards show with comedy because it was really
- 38:24Speaker 8: funny cultural celebration and tributes to industry icons.
- 38:28Speaker 1: You gave people their flowers. I mean, how does that feel?
- 38:33Speaker 8: You know?
- 38:33Speaker 2: I mean, you know it's been so long ago. I'm
- 38:35Speaker 2: gonna be honest with you. It's like, can I be
- 38:38Speaker 2: really honest?
- 38:38Speaker 1: Yes, I just so.
- 38:41Speaker 7: It bothers me a bit because I don't want b
- 38:45Speaker 7: e t to forget our contribution or be Et to
- 38:49Speaker 7: forget the thing what I've done for black people or
- 38:53Speaker 7: tried to do for black people. You know, Man, That's
- 38:56Speaker 7: one of the things that troubles me.
- 38:57Speaker 4: You know.
- 38:58Speaker 7: I get Emmys, and I got you know, Image Awards
- 39:01Speaker 7: and everything, but b et Man has always been special
- 39:04Speaker 7: to me. We did the first two b ET Awards,
- 39:08Speaker 7: I did the first ever be Et Comedy Awards show.
- 39:12Speaker 7: I did the very first be Et Celebration of Gospel.
- 39:16Speaker 7: I did that for thirteen years, man. And I did
- 39:20Speaker 7: that celebration of gospel man when all of them was saying, Steve,
- 39:23Speaker 7: why you keep doing this?
- 39:24Speaker 2: You're too big for this now, man, But I needed that.
- 39:27Speaker 2: I needed that in my soul, you know.
- 39:31Speaker 7: And I just b et Man has been so important
- 39:36Speaker 7: to me, even when I was on eight BC NBC syndicated.
- 39:43Speaker 7: I've always wanted to stay in touch with B E.
- 39:46Speaker 7: T and now Man as I look back on my career,
- 39:49Speaker 7: because I'm approaching the end of it, you know, and
- 39:52Speaker 7: I'm looking back on my career and I just want
- 39:55Speaker 7: i want be Et to know how important they were
- 39:58Speaker 7: to me, and how I've always tried to be important
- 40:02Speaker 7: to black people. I've not really cared what nobody think
- 40:06Speaker 7: about me, but I have really gave it what black
- 40:09Speaker 7: people think about me and the example I've tried to be,
- 40:12Speaker 7: because look, you a roll model, whether you want to
- 40:14Speaker 7: be at not.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Charles Barkley said, we ain't no role mall, but you are.
- 40:19Speaker 7: And I've tried to be a person that's been one
- 40:21Speaker 7: that uplifts black people and tried to make the money. Man,
- 40:24Speaker 7: that's my man, Steve Harvey. You know, I made some mistakes,
- 40:28Speaker 7: but I've always tried to do the right thing for
- 40:31Speaker 7: black people. And that's just one of the things that
- 40:34Speaker 7: I've been concerned about. And you know, it's like, you know,
- 40:37Speaker 7: men said did that all these years ago? Man, Ain't
- 40:40Speaker 7: nobody said nothing. You know, Ain't nobody said.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Like wow, you know how quickly they forget Yeah, But
- 40:46Speaker 1: it just.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Kind of bugged me a little bit. Tell you truth.
- 40:49Speaker 8: We won't let them forget. We don't let them forget
- 40:52Speaker 8: on this show. We say it every year, Yeah, every
- 40:56Speaker 8: single year. You're a legend saying you definitely are you?
- 41:01Speaker 1: Definitely? Are you have a legacy? Yes, you are all right.
- 41:06Speaker 8: Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, we
- 41:09Speaker 8: will check your voicemail, Steve. See what the people have
- 41:11Speaker 8: to talk to you about. Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve.
- 41:14Speaker 8: Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. Right after this, you're
- 41:18Speaker 8: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is time now to
- 41:26Speaker 8: check your voicemail Steve at eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve.
- 41:30Speaker 8: You can call and leave a message and you just
- 41:32Speaker 8: might hear your call on the air. Let's go to
- 41:35Speaker 8: this caller, Steve. He's upset about some comments we made
- 41:39Speaker 8: about ice and immigration.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 41:41Speaker 9: Just want to make a comment.
- 41:43Speaker 4: What was talked about on the show about immigration and
- 41:45Speaker 4: the ice and all that stuff.
- 41:47Speaker 11: Y'all act like ice is new. If these people are
- 41:50Speaker 11: here and they're not supposed to be here, then they
- 41:52Speaker 11: need to go back to their country.
- 41:55Speaker 9: Whatever this crap is about.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Oh oh oh oh, ice is important. Black and they
- 42:00Speaker 4: deporting the maser.
- 42:02Speaker 6: It don't matter.
- 42:03Speaker 11: If you're not supposed to be here, then then you
- 42:07Speaker 11: need to go back to your country.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Okay, if you ain't here legally.
- 42:11Speaker 4: You need to go back to your country.
- 42:13Speaker 2: It don't matter.
- 42:14Speaker 4: You're talking about Poland.
- 42:15Speaker 11: Poland do not allow people that ain't supposed to be
- 42:18Speaker 11: there in their country.
- 42:20Speaker 4: What is y'all talking about?
- 42:21Speaker 11: They got nonhe to it, black white, none of that stuff.
- 42:24Speaker 11: If you're not supposed to be here and you're here illegally,
- 42:28Speaker 11: you need to go home and come back the right way. Deuces,
- 42:31Speaker 11: y'all tripping black white, and don't matter. Y'all tripped it.
- 42:35Speaker 4: They're supposed to be here, the small years, none of them.
- 42:39Speaker 4: They're not supposed to be here.
- 42:40Speaker 2: They're killing the rapists.
- 42:42Speaker 9: He's stealing blood.
- 42:43Speaker 2: You're talking about, Uh.
- 42:45Speaker 7: Sir, whatever your name is, whatever you do for a living,
- 42:49Speaker 7: let me say this. You are like a lot of
- 42:51Speaker 7: people who once you've made up your mind, this is
- 42:54Speaker 7: just it. And no, we're not tripping. And it does
- 42:58Speaker 7: matter if you're black or white, because they're not deporting whites.
- 43:03Speaker 7: They're deporting only people of color. They are targeting people
- 43:08Speaker 7: because of their color. Some people have been here unbeknownst
- 43:13Speaker 7: to you, who have been here, And I know several
- 43:16Speaker 7: who have been here ten years, fifteen years illegally and
- 43:20Speaker 7: pay taxes in hopes that when they do get stopped,
- 43:26Speaker 7: that they will have a track record and when they
- 43:28Speaker 7: show the taxes, they get to stay. Maybe you don't
- 43:32Speaker 7: know about that, but I know people personally now if
- 43:36Speaker 7: they don't belong here, ayiens whatever, I don't care what
- 43:39Speaker 7: they are, they need to go taking up jobs, taking
- 43:42Speaker 7: up who jobs?
- 43:43Speaker 1: Who job?
- 43:44Speaker 7: What job do illegal immigrants do that you would love
- 43:48Speaker 7: to have? When has that been your aspiration?
- 43:51Speaker 1: You know?
- 43:51Speaker 4: Man?
- 43:51Speaker 7: It is amazing to me how we lose our heart.
- 43:55Speaker 7: How you forgot what that statue liberty stands for out there?
- 43:58Speaker 7: See that statue of liberty stands for bring me your
- 44:01Speaker 7: huddle masses, that's what it says. Now you can come
- 44:05Speaker 7: over here with your huddle masses if you are from Europe.
- 44:09Speaker 7: But once you come from Haiti, once you come from
- 44:14Speaker 7: South Nicawagua, Ecuadorians, once you are Mexican, once you are
- 44:19Speaker 7: of that hue, now all of a sudden.
- 44:21Speaker 2: It don't apply to you.
- 44:23Speaker 7: But it's amazing, man, the anger that you have for
- 44:27Speaker 7: people who are here, you say illegally, Well, let me
- 44:30Speaker 7: ask you something. If you lived in adobe hut on
- 44:34Speaker 7: the other side of a Passo, Texas, separated only by
- 44:37Speaker 7: the Rio Grand and during this week the water was
- 44:40Speaker 7: running at a foot in a high deep, you wouldn't
- 44:42Speaker 7: roll up your pants and run over here to try
- 44:43Speaker 7: to get a job to feed your family. I think
- 44:46Speaker 7: you would, so just for a moment, man, just for
- 44:50Speaker 7: a moment. You know, you can't go to Poland and
- 44:53Speaker 7: you can't go to Yeah, you gotta get work visus.
- 44:56Speaker 7: But you're also forgetting another major factor that they are
- 45:00Speaker 7: allowed over here by rich people.
- 45:02Speaker 2: So let me tell you something, man. Rich people get
- 45:06Speaker 2: to be richer by hiring.
- 45:08Speaker 7: Them, and that's what they pay them, well below minimum wage,
- 45:12Speaker 7: you know why, so they can put more money in
- 45:14Speaker 7: their pocket. Construction companies do the same thing, very cheap
- 45:20Speaker 7: but very knowledgeable. Labor comes from across those borders and
- 45:24Speaker 7: they pay them like nothing, and they live in sub
- 45:28Speaker 7: per housing. I've seen it a million times, man, So yeah, bro,
- 45:32Speaker 7: I got you can be upset about it, and man,
- 45:34Speaker 7: you some mind and go home.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Yall listen, But let me tell you something. It ain't
- 45:39Speaker 2: that easy.
- 45:40Speaker 7: If I was struggling and I saw an opportunity in America,
- 45:42Speaker 7: I would bring my illegal over here too. So yeah,
- 45:50Speaker 7: and I got more to say on that, but maybe
- 45:52Speaker 7: for my clothes room.
- 45:53Speaker 8: Have a nice day, man, all right, all right, Steve,
- 45:56Speaker 8: thank you, And coming up next, we have the Nephew
- 45:58Speaker 8: and today's prank phone call.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Right after this, I.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Can't call it this, your man said, entertaining.
- 46:05Speaker 8: Let's it's DJ cal Hey, this your boy, Chris bron Hey,
- 46:08Speaker 8: this is Keisha Coles.
- 46:09Speaker 1: People, this is Kirk Franklin, TeV.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Harty what I'm thought?
- 46:12Speaker 9: Your boy the Big Snoop Dog.
- 46:13Speaker 4: And you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 46:16Speaker 9: You're listening to.
- 46:18Speaker 1: The Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 46:25Speaker 1: of the hour, right about what are you doing?
- 46:29Speaker 8: Right about four minutes after, it's my Strawberry letter and
- 46:33Speaker 8: the subject is sleeping in.
- 46:35Speaker 1: The next room.
- 46:37Speaker 8: But right now you hear him humming. What are you
- 46:39Speaker 8: humming about? It's time for the Nephew In today's prank
- 46:43Speaker 8: phone call.
- 46:44Speaker 6: Gotta come shoe you, but oh good, gotta come shoe
- 46:51Speaker 6: you butt.
- 46:54Speaker 2: You, gotta come show you but hey what? All right? Really,
- 47:01Speaker 2: I love a good hemn this is you gotta come
- 47:04Speaker 2: show your butt.
- 47:06Speaker 6: You know sometime people get out there, you get yourself
- 47:08Speaker 6: in some trouble and you know, you get caught up,
- 47:11Speaker 6: you know, you get the things happen. So this said
- 47:13Speaker 6: some things that happened, and last thing we saw was
- 47:16Speaker 6: your butt. So we need to see your butt. Make
- 47:20Speaker 6: show it wasn't the butt.
- 47:21Speaker 2: That we saw.
- 47:22Speaker 6: You gotta come and show your butt. We need to
- 47:26Speaker 6: see your butt. Let's go catch off.
- 47:27Speaker 2: This is so oh, you're gonna show your butt, gonna show.

- 54:34Speaker 7: Uh huh, you know comedy, you got paid cash. Two
- 54:37Speaker 7: dudes pull up in a pickup truck, white boys. I
- 54:40Speaker 7: was just standing up on the balcony a comedy club

- 56:45Speaker 2: We got it for you. Here it is Strawberry Letter.
- 56:48Speaker 1: Thank you nephew.
- 56:49Speaker 8: Subjects sleeping in the next room. Dear Stephen Shirley. I
- 56:53Speaker 8: got married two months ago and we are in the
- 56:55Speaker 8: process of moving to our new home, which has been
- 56:58Speaker 8: owned by my husband's family for years. We get to
- 57:01Speaker 8: stay there for free, but the house needs new carpet
- 57:04Speaker 8: and fresh paint. My father in law has offered to
- 57:07Speaker 8: do the work for himself, or the work himself as
- 57:11Speaker 8: our wedding gift. I don't want to burden him with
- 57:14Speaker 8: extra work because we are staying with him while our
- 57:16Speaker 8: house is being worked on. And he said he's doing
- 57:19Speaker 8: it mostly for me. But I didn't understand what that
- 57:22Speaker 8: meant until recently. A week ago, I stopped by the
- 57:25Speaker 8: house to see how the updates were looking. My father
- 57:28Speaker 8: in law was there with another worker painting. My hair
- 57:33Speaker 8: was down, so my father in law walked up to
- 57:35Speaker 8: me and put a paper bonnet over my hair. I
- 57:38Speaker 8: could smell his cologne and his breath on my neck,
- 57:40Speaker 8: and at that very moment, I realized that it is
- 57:43Speaker 8: only a matter of time before I give in to
- 57:47Speaker 8: this man. Here's a backstory. My father in law is handsome,
- 57:51Speaker 8: well groomed, with wavy hair and a moisturized beard. He's
- 57:55Speaker 8: turning fifty soon, but you can't tell. He used to
- 57:59Speaker 8: flirt with me all the time time, but he stopped
- 58:01Speaker 8: right before my wedding. Now that my husband and I
- 58:04Speaker 8: are living with him, I'm finding it harder to resist him.
- 58:07Speaker 8: He knows I'm always up late, so he texted me
- 58:10Speaker 8: the other night saying, go to bed beautiful.
- 58:13Speaker 1: While I was watching a movie.
- 58:14Speaker 8: I told him to come watch the movie with me
- 58:17Speaker 8: and he said he wouldn't be able to concentrate on
- 58:19Speaker 8: the movie. That's saying to me that I need to
- 58:22Speaker 8: get my husband and I into an apartment pronto before
- 58:25Speaker 8: he catches me sleeping in the next room with his daddy.
- 58:28Speaker 8: Every part of me is longing for this older, distinguished man.
- 58:33Speaker 8: How can I convince my husband that we should move
- 58:36Speaker 8: without telling him exactly why?
- 58:40Speaker 9: What?
- 58:41Speaker 1: Girl?
- 58:42Speaker 11: You are?
- 58:43Speaker 8: What?
- 58:44Speaker 1: Okay? This whole letter is out of order, and I
- 58:48Speaker 1: got to say, please don't do this. I mean, just
- 58:51Speaker 1: because this man is fine and well groomed and all
- 58:54Speaker 1: of that.
- 58:54Speaker 8: That's absolutely no reason for you to commit the ultimate
- 58:57Speaker 8: betrayal and sleep with your husband father.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Come on, now, this is wrong on every single level.
- 59:05Speaker 8: It's not just blanking okay, that won't be it. This
- 59:10Speaker 8: is going to break up a family. It's gonna break
- 59:12Speaker 8: up your marriage, it's going to ruin your lives.
- 59:14Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, you're right.
- 59:16Speaker 8: Get out of there as soon as possible and create
- 59:19Speaker 8: distance between you and your husband and his father. And
- 59:22Speaker 8: I'm telling you you won't be able to live this
- 59:25Speaker 8: down if this goes down.
- 59:27Speaker 1: This is not a game, This is not a movie.
- 59:29Speaker 8: You are playing with fire, with people's lives here, talking
- 59:33Speaker 8: about it's just a matter of time before I give
- 59:36Speaker 8: in to this man. If you don't care about your marriage,
- 59:39Speaker 8: at least care about the relationship with the father and son.
- 59:42Speaker 8: Of course Dad is all the way wrong for flirting
- 59:45Speaker 8: with you and all of that, but you don't have
- 59:48Speaker 8: to let him have sex with you.
- 59:50Speaker 1: That's what you're thinking about.
- 59:52Speaker 9: This is on you.
- 59:53Speaker 8: You have to show some sort of self control here,
- 59:57Speaker 8: walk away, let this go. Choose to do right thing.
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: You won't regret this you got, you can't. This is craziness, Steve.
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: Well, I got married, This lady says, I got married
- 1:00:15Speaker 7: two months ago. And y'all trying to move into this
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: new house. But and it's owned by your husband's family
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: and you all are gonna stay there free.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: But the house needs new carpet and some fresh paint. Now.
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: Your father in law has offered to do the work
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: itself as a gift wedding gift. I didn't want to
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: burden him with the extra work because we're staying with
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: him while our house is being worked on. You probably
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: staying there free too. He said he's doing it mostly
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: for me. I didn't understand what it meant too, recently. Well,
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: ain't nothing free, nothing, very little free things in life. Now,
- 1:00:58Speaker 7: there are people who freely love people. There people who
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: freely give of everything. And that's very true. Everything else
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: that's free come with a cost. Once again. You freely
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: love your children, you freely love your spouse and your mate,
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: you freely love some of your friends. But when it's
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: not genuine, everything else that's free cost, it just costs. Man.
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: And I hate to say that, and this guy knows that.
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: But it's two people that's dead wrong in this letter,
- 1:01:40Speaker 7: you and the father. It's just nowhere around the stinkness
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: of both of y'all. Just y'all trifling, man, And it's
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: no other way for me to put it.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Go put it.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: A week ago. You stop by the house and see
- 1:01:54Speaker 7: how the updates were looking. My father in law was
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: there with another work of painting. My hair was down,
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: so my father in law walk up to me to
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: put a paper bonnet over my hair. I could smell
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: his cologne it through the paint. Then that paint in
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: your whole house and you can smell his cologne through
- 1:02:13Speaker 7: the paint. How much brute he got on?
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Lady? You know what I mean?
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: You wanted to write us that you want to do hell,
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: because ain't no way in hell. You walking in the
- 1:02:29Speaker 7: house just being painted, and you can smell this man's cologne.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: You know what paint smell like?
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Fresh?
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: Open up, can paint two people in that paint rollers, brushes, girls,
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: Stop you lie. I can smell his cologne and his
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: breath on my neck. The only way you can smell
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: cologne and breath is both of them.
- 1:02:56Speaker 8: Back all right, Hold on, Steve, We'll have part two
- 1:03:03Speaker 8: of your response coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:03:06Speaker 8: the hour. The subject of today's strawberry letter sleeping in.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: The next room.

- 1:03:57Speaker 8: come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject is
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: sleeping in the next room.
- 1:04:03Speaker 7: Lady is in a situation that her and her father
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: in law are contemplating, and both of these people are trifling.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: This woman's been married two months. Two months.
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: They wedding gift is to stay in the family's house
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: for free, but the house needs some carpet in paint.
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: Father in law offered due to work hisself as a
- 1:04:24Speaker 7: wedding gift, but you didn't want to burnen him with
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: no extra work because y'all staying with him while the
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: house is being worked on.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: He said, he's mostly doing it for me.
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: All this free stuff, free carpet, free paint, free work,
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: free house, free crib, free places, stay until it gets fixed.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: A week ago, my father in law was there with
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: another work of paint.
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: My hat was down, so my father in law walked
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: up to me put a paper bonnet over my hair.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: I could smell his cologne and his breath on my neck.
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: At that very moment, I realized that it's only a
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: matter of time before I give in to this man.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: Here is the back story, all right, we all know
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: the backstory.
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: You tricky. He tricky, and you've been tricky. You was
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: tricky for your marriage, your hunsband. You tricky after you
- 1:05:17Speaker 7: married your husband. The father in law was tricky before
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: y'all got married. And your your father in law is
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: so tricky. He even tricky as a father, which is
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: the worst kind. It's worse. It's worse coming from the father,
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: because that's the ultimate betrayal.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Divorces happened all the time.
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: But to get dogged out and brutalized, and and and
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: and and and and and and and cheated on by
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: your father though he low down man, he low down.
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: And but you you the other trick in this thing.
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: Here the backstory. My father in law is handsome. That
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: ain't backstory, right, that's just your father in law. This
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: is see backstory is what happened to you all prior
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: to this. This ain't no backstory. All you telling us
- 1:06:10Speaker 7: is why you want this man. My father in law
- 1:06:14Speaker 7: is handsome, well groomed, with wavy hair and a moisturized bed.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: He got wavy hair. That's it.
- 1:06:26Speaker 7: That's what it took and he has. And he got
- 1:06:30Speaker 7: a moisturized bed. Most brothers moisturized, they be now, all
- 1:06:37Speaker 7: of them a bed oil, all that sheen spray. And
- 1:06:43Speaker 7: you're okay, he's turning fifty soon. But you can't tell.
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: He used to flirt with me all the time, but
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: he stopped right before I wed. Now that's backstory, right,
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: And then you said that my husband are living with him.
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: I'm finding it harder to resist him. So are you
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: saying he's still flirting with you or are you just
- 1:07:08Speaker 7: stuck on the times when the old good looking, well
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: groomed beard, moisturized wavy hair man was hollering at you before.
- 1:07:18Speaker 7: So anyway, I'm finding it harder to resist him.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: Really.
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: He knows I'm always up late, so he texted me
- 1:07:24Speaker 7: the other night said, go to bed, beautiful while I
- 1:07:27Speaker 7: was watching the movie. I told him to come watch
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: the movie with me, and he said he wouldn't be
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: able to concentrate on the movie. Y'all just playing with
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: fire in him. But see, this is how you get
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: This is how you get in real trouble. This is
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: this is domestic violence right here. And I'm talking about
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: father and son domestic violence. Yeah, see this is what
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: I'm talking about. I'm not saying man physically abusing a woman.
- 1:07:54Speaker 7: That's not what I'm saying. And I've never promoted that
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: ever in my life. But you you, You, like Shirley said,
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: you about to destroy a family that's already destroyed because
- 1:08:05Speaker 7: dad ain't worth no way. He looked pretty old man
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: with wavy head. He's just a pretty sold man.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: That's all old puncket dude.
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: Because he got some little wavy heir, probably light skin too,
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: a little light skinned punkin. That's what he is and
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: what he is ain't every too many dog skinned people
- 1:08:24Speaker 7: got wavy heir. So you know it's just no hill, no, no,
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: I ain't no hell no hell no old light skin, punk,
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: light skin, high yell a boy. He got a little
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: well moisturized bed. And you know he's been pretty all
- 1:08:41Speaker 7: his life. He's still holding on. Now he's gonna take
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: his son's well.
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:08:45Speaker 7: You a dog, you a low down dog. Every part
- 1:08:50Speaker 7: of me is longing for this old and distinguished man.
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: How can I convince my husband that we should move
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: without telling him exactly?
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: Why?
- 1:08:58Speaker 9: What?
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: Why don't you get some self control? Why don't you
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: get some dignity? Why don't you get some loyalty. Why

- 1:11:17Speaker 7: I'm from sleefand I have been taught how to lose,
- 1:11:20Speaker 7: I have been taught how to deal with defeat, and
- 1:11:23Speaker 7: I'm not gonna deal with it in the World Cup
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: because really I don't care. So now let me explain
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: something to a lot of people come to my house
- 1:11:31Speaker 7: have on Mexico jerseys. I'm from Mexico period. Whenever Mexico play,
- 1:11:37Speaker 7: I'm from Brazil because I like them too, and the
- 1:11:40Speaker 7: Spain when I'm pull him for Spain all the way
- 1:11:43Speaker 7: because of that little eighteen year old black boy that's
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: on their tack.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: Yes, Carler, why do you love Brazil so much?
- 1:11:50Speaker 7: Just some things that be going on down there, and
- 1:11:56Speaker 7: it's a chick come across my timeline that just do
- 1:11:58Speaker 7: the shape you walk in shait, that's all she do.
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: She's from Brazil and I'm one of her biggest fans.
- 1:12:04Speaker 7: I want to follow her, but my son told me
- 1:12:06Speaker 7: I can't.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:12Speaker 6: I love a good Brazilian wax, That's why that's why I.
- 1:12:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: Well, I'll tell you what I show pay for one
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: for you. That's all right.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: You know men can't take that kind of pain. No,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: no way take that.
- 1:12:34Speaker 8: Okay, So back, so I interrupted you, what's the rest
- 1:12:37Speaker 8: of the countryes you really for?
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: You said next?
- 1:12:39Speaker 7: So I pulled for Argentina because of Messy of course,
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: I pulled for Spain because his little eighteen year old
- 1:12:44Speaker 7: black boy got there. He got out there in his
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: first World Cup game. He scored a goal in the
- 1:12:48Speaker 7: first ten minutes. This boy on five. I love Congo
- 1:12:52Speaker 7: simply because how they got off the plane. Yes, brother,
- 1:12:55Speaker 7: it was adapt dra Yes.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: Tray pimp game go. Yeah, so that's how I do.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:13:06Speaker 7: I'm still ticked off at the UFC fight that was
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: at the White House because of Josh hoyt or the heavyweight.
- 1:13:12Speaker 7: And now he's trying to apologize to Michelle. Obama wasn't
- 1:13:15Speaker 7: really apologize talking about it was just a joke. He
- 1:13:17Speaker 7: meant no offense. By how can you say something offensive
- 1:13:21Speaker 7: and think it ain't meant with offense canceling?
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: Yes, but now let's what though.
- 1:13:28Speaker 7: He in the right division though, because Francis Gano is
- 1:13:31Speaker 7: in that league. The big boy African boy from Nigeria
- 1:13:35Speaker 7: is in that division. Alex Perrero is that division. Here
- 1:13:40Speaker 7: finished talking about UFC. We went from soccer to that.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a transition.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Never found his stuff, all right, He'll find it some
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: other day. Thank you guys. Coming up next.
- 1:13:55Speaker 8: Uh. A man on social media needs some advice, he says,
- 1:13:58Speaker 8: his future mother in law will not go to the
- 1:14:00Speaker 8: wedding reception. We'll talk about it right after this. You're
- 1:14:04Speaker 8: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is from
- 1:14:11Speaker 8: Anthony and Steve Harvey FN. Anthony says, my fiance and
- 1:14:15Speaker 8: I are getting married in October, but her mother has
- 1:14:18Speaker 8: decided to boycott the reception. My future mother in law
- 1:14:22Speaker 8: already has a major problem with our wedding being quote
- 1:14:25Speaker 8: so close to Halloween, because it's quote so close to
- 1:14:28Speaker 8: the devil's holiday.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: She says.
- 1:14:31Speaker 8: She says she'll tolerate the ceremony because we had the
- 1:14:36Speaker 8: good sense to have it in a church, but she's
- 1:14:38Speaker 8: out when it comes to the reception. Why because the
- 1:14:41Speaker 8: reception hall we booked has a street address of six
- 1:14:45Speaker 8: six six, and.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: And you know what that means.
- 1:14:50Speaker 8: It's too late to change venues, and this place is
- 1:14:53Speaker 8: really nice. It breaks my fiance's heart that her mom
- 1:14:56Speaker 8: is taking this stance. The deposit has been paid, an
- 1:14:59Speaker 8: invitation have been sent out. What can we do, that's
- 1:15:04Speaker 8: what he wants.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Well, I don't know what you can do.
- 1:15:06Speaker 7: But when i'd have found out that address was six
- 1:15:08Speaker 7: six six, I'd have been looking for somewhere else. But
- 1:15:13Speaker 7: I know the power of praying the Lord God Almighty,
- 1:15:16Speaker 7: So I'll go on down there anyway, right, And I
- 1:15:19Speaker 7: just need protected and covered.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:15:22Speaker 7: I think your mother in law is being a bit
- 1:15:25Speaker 7: more of old and this ain't gonna be the only
- 1:15:29Speaker 7: problem you're gonna have. And I can tell you what
- 1:15:33Speaker 7: you could do is just for that day. You could
- 1:15:36Speaker 7: cover the address of the hawks, cover the address that
- 1:15:40Speaker 7: ain't good enough of money.
- 1:15:41Speaker 12: But what is she saying though, I mean going down
- 1:15:46Speaker 12: there in that devil's head that's triple sixes, that's the
- 1:15:51Speaker 12: mark of the beasts.
- 1:15:54Speaker 7: I'm fin to go down here and be drinking and
- 1:15:56Speaker 7: parting with the mark of the beasts on me, because
- 1:15:59Speaker 7: we know not when he coming, okay, and he might
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: come back there. And we sitting up in there in
- 1:16:05Speaker 7: the sixty sixty six building.
- 1:16:07Speaker 8: Mama, it's a nice venue. They got good food that
- 1:16:11Speaker 8: is gonna be decorated now.
- 1:16:12Speaker 7: They got good food down at the VFW hall. I
- 1:16:17Speaker 7: told y'all have it down there. I got the people
- 1:16:19Speaker 7: that run the Bingo hall, I got them to let
- 1:16:22Speaker 7: y'all have that.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: But Maama, we don't want to have it there. This
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: place is nice. This one is really really nice.
- 1:16:29Speaker 7: Do you know that they got had just opened up
- 1:16:32Speaker 7: up down at Jackson's funeral home.
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: They got a banquet haul down there.
- 1:16:36Speaker 7: Now, well, you can have the funeral and the repast
- 1:16:40Speaker 7: in the same Placebody.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Having a reception at a funeral home.
- 1:16:45Speaker 8: A wedding reception, Mama, wedding reception at a funeral home.
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: Come on, now, I'm not going down here with these sixties.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: And the invitations have already been sent out. What are
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: we supposed to do? We paid a deposit on the venue. Listen,
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: I'll be at the church, yes, ma'am. That's close to Halloween.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: And what does y'all have you know, Halloween's bulleen, We
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: got a good deal.
- 1:17:09Speaker 8: Yeah, it's in October one and an October October all wedding.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't want it to be hot.
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: So you think just a good deal to go to hell? Lord,
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: we'll kind a deal to day cold with y'all. That's
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: the problem.
- 1:17:29Speaker 8: Oh boy, Okay, all right, I see your point. All right,
- 1:17:32Speaker 8: we have time for another one. This is from g
- 1:17:35Speaker 8: On Steve Harvey. G says, I've been with my company
- 1:17:38Speaker 8: for eight years and have accumulated a pretty significant amount
- 1:17:42Speaker 8: of PTO paid time off because I rarely take time off. Recently,
- 1:17:47Speaker 8: I decided it was finally time to use some of it.
- 1:17:50Speaker 8: And management is acting like I've committed a crime. They're
- 1:17:52Speaker 8: treating me like I'm being selfish for wanting to take
- 1:17:55Speaker 8: the benefit they've been advertising as part of my compensation
- 1:17:59Speaker 8: package all these years. Did they ever expect their employees
- 1:18:02Speaker 8: to use the benefits they promise?
- 1:18:05Speaker 7: Well, since you brought that up, I would like to
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: point out to y'all that my PTO is available now.
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: Oh I just want you all know, and I'm not
- 1:18:14Speaker 7: gonna do like I did last year because I did
- 1:18:17Speaker 7: not take all of my PTO. Me and g in
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: the same position. Thank you for writing me and don
- 1:18:23Speaker 7: because you just brought up my PTO and I'm just
- 1:18:26Speaker 7: gonna take mine. I'm just gonna tell I'm gonna be
- 1:18:28Speaker 7: real with you. I'm taking mine. I'm not finna do
- 1:18:31Speaker 7: this here, sitting up here, giving my all and all.
- 1:18:36Speaker 7: What do they expect me not to take everything that
- 1:18:39Speaker 7: they advertised to me?
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: It was in my contract?
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: All right, we'll have more of this ignorant show.
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: I love I Heart, but do I heart love me?
- 1:18:51Speaker 8: Coming up next right after this you're listening to the
- 1:18:53Speaker 8: Steve Harvey Morning Show at Chris for Maloney, who plays

- 1:19:09Speaker 8: to land a role on Lawyer, Law and Order Special
- 1:19:12Speaker 8: Victims Unit. Jaylen Brunson previously told reporters that he wanted
- 1:19:16Speaker 8: to quote try and get on the show after scoring

- 1:19:45Speaker 6: that may make.
- 1:19:46Speaker 8: It as himself. Yeah, what about a TV show? What

- 1:29:00Speaker 7: there for a minute and looked around see if it
- 1:29:02Speaker 7: was anything I needed. Then I was really looking for
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: a trapeze handle that would swing by and I could
- 1:29:09Speaker 7: grab it and lower myself to the ground.
- 1:29:12Speaker 9: I was in.
- 1:29:13Speaker 7: And finally man, one of the guys that worked for me,
