- 2:13[SPEAKER_04]: Hopefully tomorrow.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_04]: But in the next couple of days for sure he'll be coming out.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_04]: So I am a little delayed.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_04]: I know it's draft season, but the way my schedule works and these film sessions, the most effective way that I can do draft season is breaking down the players that they actually drift.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_04]: That's the best way I can do it.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_04]: So we're going to be breaking down NFL prospects or NFL prospects, NFL players that they signed.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_04]: And then when the players come out, you know, I can be real more narrow focus for the dread, because I know people do appreciate the dread prospects.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_04]: Um, when I wasn't able to do it like in real time.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_04]: Um, so we'll worry about that when we get there.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_04]: But that's why we just got to up the analysts.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_04]: And that's why today on the show, we got Doug Farber.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_04]: And I pray I'm saying these last names right.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_04]: Doug Farber.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_04]: Um, he is a draft analyst, uh, he's done espionation, um, and then Athalon sports as well, but uh, that's a guy that I really like.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_04]: Um, when I was learning to film film breakdowns and film study stuff, uh, I used a lot of his resources, um, and in two to lich that he had available on line.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_04]: So that's going to be cool.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_04]: It's all that talking up with him.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_04]: The photos in here, Jerry, AJ
- 3:39[SPEAKER_05]: Good, bro.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna pay Della with some sciatica.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_05]: I'm getting old, you know, I know that's how old joke man.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_04]: It's the attic.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_04]: What did he use?
- 3:47[SPEAKER_04]: I always do, the last guess you posted a 50, then you are 30, bro.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_05]: Not actually done with this, since I was a teenager, this is one of those little flare ups when you get painting your lower back and then it shoots down to your legs.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_05]: So it's kind of miserable.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it could be miserable.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_05]: I've been dealing with this as I was 15.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_05]: Plan basketball more peers.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_05]: I was playing basketball when I happened.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you don't gotta worry about what I'm doing on the court damn breath.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_04]: Just saying, you know what's correct?
- 4:15[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody, I got hurt.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_04]: Um, somebody.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_04]: I was on a train.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_04]: It was a transition.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, hurt.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_04]: It did hurt.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_04]: Um, transition.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_04]: Fast break.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody shot the lava pass over my head.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, bro, I'm, I'm my, I'm my athletic and method, bro.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_04]: Anybody.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_04]: Who do you think I am?
- 4:32[SPEAKER_04]: Where's what?
- 4:33[SPEAKER_04]: Jumped up in the air.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_04]: Spotted that bitch down.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_04]: But I ain't landing on my feet.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_04]: That's how high I got my feet my feet went up in the air landed right on my hip So now it was at a 40 now and it on my shoulder, you know all that stuff hurt
- 4:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, my, so it was one of them.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_04]: It was one of them on this for it.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_04]: It was one of them on this for me.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_04]: So sky at it.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_04]: But got commercials for that for medicine for that, right?
- 5:01[SPEAKER_05]: Well, you know, LeBron had that earlier in the season.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_05]: That's why he missed a lot of games.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, he had that joint.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_05]: It's a nerve thing.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I'm saying?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_04]: AJ just checked in was going on with you AJ.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_06]: cool and cool and as it's trying to get these down here for us to work.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_04]: You want a public set in bar?
- 5:24[SPEAKER_05]: I guess new headphones.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_05]: I ain't seeing AJ with those before.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, never, you know, we're here phones.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_04]: Hell, you got no damn microphone, bro.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I mean, I just winging.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_06]: I'm like, I'm a updated little studio space maker debut by by the season.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_06]: Look at you think he's
- 5:47[SPEAKER_06]: create in some type of space and think of how I want to paint in the wallpaper.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_06]: But I do it, you know.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, Drake, did you say something about Seattle's?
- 5:57[SPEAKER_05]: Seattle.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_05]: So adding, I don't even know how to say it to anyone else.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_04]: I just want to say the condition that you got, learn it.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_04]: It's kind of adequate, right?
- 6:07[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I love.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_05]: It's kind of adequate.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_05]: It's one of the fucking words.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_05]: I just know that's what I got.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_05]: That's it.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_05]: What is a nerf thing like it if it's less up if I sleep the wrong way or something then it would just be I'll be messed up for a week He said he was hoping he got a hoop and I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
- 6:39[SPEAKER_06]: about basketball.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_05]: I don't remember anything.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_05]: Was that in that conversation?
- 6:43[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_05]: I was directly talking to you.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_05]: AJ just over her.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_05]: That's crazy.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_05]: You talking to me.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_05]: I don't remember nothing.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_05]: No.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_05]: See, you had like 16 drinks that night.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_05]: I only had like one drink.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_05]: I was telling you, I was coming up that said, I'm gonna come up in some days.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_05]: I said, first and foremost, I'm gonna shut them all up here, shit down.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_05]: Secondly, you told me that it'd be six foot six dudes up there, you know what I'm saying?
- 7:08[SPEAKER_05]: And I was like, that's cool.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna tell this dude, that's the part AJ here.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_05]: I want to check the told this dude in the court.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_05]: boxing them out, getting them out the paint, getting them out the way.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, good, that doesn't make me remember a phage vaguely rememberable.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_04]: I think I think was blending in is because we had this conversation a couple times.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_04]: We had her on the show.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_05]: So that's probably, you was getting lit, though, brus.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_04]: So I see why you don't drink a lot.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_04]: I can't let it get in the pineapple more.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_04]: I was celebrating for AJ, man.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_04]: This is perfect, man.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_04]: What was I supposed to do?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_06]: I remember, I remember everything.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_06]: He demonstrated how he was going to box out of everything.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_05]: I don't even do that.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_05]: I don't remember.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_06]: You made the idea.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_05]: It was like a little subtle movement.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_06]: I was like, you're still all last once a six, six person.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_06]: You know, pick a best one.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_05]: I like the best challenge on the best.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_04]: I said no.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think one of those six things that we're going to have with you.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_04]: That's what you said.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_05]: You was like, yeah, I'm probably six out of it.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think I would probably try and intimidate you.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_04]: But it's like six to six degrees.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like that.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe you want to play more.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you need to worry about your inflammation.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, you can't do miracles veins, bro.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I can't do nothing right now.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, Ben's money ball Anthony.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_04]: Say, I appreciate your checking in live.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_04]: Let's go ahead and start our show with some draft talk.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_04]: Money ball.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_04]: Of course, we're going to talk about Adam Peters.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_04]: and Dan Quinn, but let's get into some draft conversation, right?
- 8:33[SPEAKER_04]: I mentioned earlier that Doug Fawler, he's going to tell me if I got the last name right or wrong.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_04]: But he's going to be joining us and he's going to join us right now at the top of the shoulders.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_04]: Go ahead and bring him on Doug, appreciate you joining us.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I was going to do that.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_04]: Did I get your last name right, Fawler?
- 8:54[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, for our Ferrari vehicle close.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_04]: Um, yeah, man.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_04]: We talked.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and yeah, like I think when in like 2022.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_04]: Um, did you do work for inside the pile on?
- 9:08[SPEAKER_04]: I think.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_04]: Was it inside the pond?
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: No, I have a lot of friends who did a lot of scaring to be guys, of course.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_04]: And that's the connection is where I started to study.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of your work was when I was in a scouting academy.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_04]: So when we talked briefly over the past few days and what I mentioned that, this is for everybody.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_04]: I'm talking to the listeners.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_04]: Doug is a guy who is somebody
- 9:36[SPEAKER_04]: Louis Riddick that we had on AJ and Jerry and then I wish we was able to have Dan Hartman on try to try out actually now I think about try to have him on some point.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_04]: But Doug you're one of the people you're one of the people that I really looked at in terms of like just building up my skill set so that's why man you do a really good job boss man.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_04]: So I appreciate you being able to join us.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: Well, thank you.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: That means a lot.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate it.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: Um, since go ahead and get into the draft.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, by the way, I have cyanic at you.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: I have to have like a special office chair for it.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's no joke.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, see.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_05]: There we go.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_05]: My feels my pain.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_04]: We're not.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_04]: We're not in the business of making jury feel better.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_04]: That means we'll stop that right now.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's for
- 10:27[SPEAKER_04]: So I want to go general first like who was the most impressive doesn't even have to be first round prospect You can be whoever comes in mind.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_04]: Let's let's go to two players two prospects who are the most impressive Prospects that you've been looking at so far throughout this draft cycle
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: Um, uh, sunny styles because he used to be a safety, and now he's a Fred Warner-level linebacker, and I asked him at the combine for his favorite place, and the first thing you brought up was his sack of queen Ures against Texas.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: He forced a fumble, and he said, because of our real recent ones, those other guys, Matt Patricia Nemi-Rush and the pastor in 2025, you got 2024 when he had six sex.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: That guy could legitimately get 10 sex off the
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there's anything he can't do.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: If you told me that he was in a place safety for like 20 plays a game and he'd get away with it.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: I believe it.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_01]: I, I, I, I, yeah, you have to be stupid to casually compare any linebacker to Fred Warner, but when I put it on his tape, that's what I saw.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: And it was pretty easy.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: The other guy I would say is, I mean, Jeremiah love is my number one player, but that's kind of chalk.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: I would say, Emmanuel MacNeal Warren from Toledo.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: And we know about Toledo because the coin on Mitchell and all that but this guy I mean there are you know this there are three sort of do it all safety is which every defense wants now there's Caleb downs from Ohio state there's Dylan Thenomen from Oregon and mele Warren from Toledo and this guy he's six three about 200
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: And just a guided missile everywhere.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: He can play from sideline to sideline box slot.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_01]: He is legit deep third defender.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: He had a pick six, where he just peeled off from sort of slot to reading the corner route and just took it home.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, I have other sort of favorites later on, but I think the guys and I tend to like defense more than like offense.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's just how I'm wired.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not surprised I came up with two defensive players, but styles, and Neil Warren, I think in today's NFL, you desperately need guys who can do more than one thing.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: If you can only do one thing, like if you can only cover through a new demo that'll be your role promise, because otherwise, you're not gonna play.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_01]: And those two guys, I think, can do everything at a ridiculously high level, which is where the NFL's going.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, with you testing on like,
- 12:58[SPEAKER_06]: the admiration for sending styles and also like the versatility that he brings at a table.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_06]: But ideally, he's projected to be a middle line back in NFL.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_06]: There hasn't been too many top 10 middle line backers drafted in recent years.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_06]: I think maybe the last one might have been Rokwan, Smith, with the Chicago Bears.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Devon White was selected fifth of Rokwan.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_06]: Oh yeah, fifth.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that was a lie.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_06]: Do you think that Sunny Stows going to be, let's say, in particular, what does it have to say on the paper?
- 13:33[SPEAKER_06]: Well, do you think he wants that pick?
- 13:35[SPEAKER_06]: Because, you know, we bring up the Fred Warrner's other world, but Fred was probably a third fourth round pick.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know, third, because he was kind of a smaller, and it was back when people didn't like smaller linebackers as much.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: And he was a safety convert, kind of like Earl Ecker was.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: He was playing that star up there position.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, I mean, as far as positional value, I think in today's NFL, I mean, when I was watching the Super Bowl and I'm in Seattle, um,
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: When I was watching this Super Bowl and I was looking at metrics, the CX played over 50% dime against the Patriots, which is insane as much as like as much two-back personals of Patriots run, you think a heavy offense, you're gonna be in base.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: CX were in base on 1.4% of their defensive snaps.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: They were the Enical or Dive all the way.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of where the, you know, talking about trends and where the NFL is going and where people fit.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think in today's NFL, if you can have a legit linebacker who can do all those things, he's more important now because you may, the C dox had one linebacker on the field, Ernest Jones, for over half their plays in the Super Bowl.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: And up until his last two touchdown passes, they were kind of mailing it in.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: They'd beat the Patriots to death with it.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I think in today's
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: I get the linebackers don't matter, running backs don't matter.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think in the NFL as defenses are structured today, most defenses.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think linebackers are becoming more important because you need one guy in the center of that who can really make it all work.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_05]: And for me, I was looking at your most recent mock draft.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_05]: And I noticed you had mass or delaying going number seven to Washington.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_05]: Can you kind of talk about him and what will make that a great pick at number seven
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they really need cornerbacks.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: We all know this.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: We don't, that's awkward.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: I love Samar's still, but he's not an outside guy.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_01]: If you put him there because you have to, he's okay, but I love him in the slot, always have.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I said in that mock that we were all waiting for today because we needed to see what Jimad McCoy did in his protee, he blew it up.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: So now I would say it's seven.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: I could tie it between delaying and McCoy and be perfectly happy either way.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: Delane is a bit smoother.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's a bit better in off coverage.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: One of my favorite stats that I uncovered from this particular draft prospect process.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know what Delane's opponent passed running a lot was in man coverage, man in press coverage in 2025?
- 16:10[SPEAKER_05]: No, what was it?
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: 0.0.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: That guy will just erase you and he's really good enough.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I know their new DC comes from Minnesota, Brian Flores plays a ton of zone behind all that crazy stuff he goes up front.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: I know Dan's a crazy stuff up front because I know Dan from his time in Seattle.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I would say with delaying, you just, you put them on the field and you check the box and you got to worry about other guys, you're not going to worry about your outside corner.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's just, he is as ready as you'll see a prospect be and at this point, like I said, given that McCoy appears fully recovered, his 2024 tape was just nuts.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and he's a little edger, he's a little pressier.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so it just kind of depends on which kind of guy you want, but I wouldn't put a Harris breath between you to one of those guys.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're both great.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: So the one top 10 guys.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_05]: And so the lane for you would you consider him a cornerstone, the type of player in the deep is, and I say that because Washington doesn't have anyone that resembles that at the moment, a guy that you can say, yeah, I'm building around this guy.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_05]: He's that young court talent, like you would say you would be that if they
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I believe so because he's he's you don't have to hide part of your playbook around him to benefit him because some guys are great and press some guys are great enough some guys are great and bail.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_04]: night you did preview Jeremiah loves slightly when we were talking about the two most impressive prospects on your end.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_04]: Let's flip it to the offensive side.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_04]: What about Jeremiah love makes him like that?
- 18:01[SPEAKER_04]: And you said number one, what did you say?
- 18:04[SPEAKER_04]: Number one.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's the best player in this class, best player in it.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, what would make you believe that he's the best player in the class and given his position running back.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_04]: Does it get?
- 18:18[SPEAKER_04]: How does the value look like from that position and like being able to be a top five selection or even falling out of the top five and evaluate in that at that point of the position as well?
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think running back value right now, it's more subjective.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think linebacker value is more painted in because of the defensive trends I was talking about.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the Seahawks won the Super Bowl with Walker is a running back, a little motor can city like we're not paying that.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: We can get again, you know, second, third round, whatever.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think with Jeremiah Love, he is a bigger Jamir Gibbs, who the Lions took 12th over all a couple years ago.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: And Brad Holmes or GM said, we didn't pick him as a running back.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: We picked him as a weapon.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: This guy has great power, a size 60, about 215.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: He can run, I mean, we're talking about, it was the lane, guys, you have to, you don't have to take part of your playbook away because of who he is.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: He can run gap, inside zone, outside zone, power counter trap, whatever, just, there he is.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: And he runs,
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: Levy on Bill before he went crazy was one of the best route runners have ever seen any running back.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he would run like a full running back route tree, which is as you know, where for a running back.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think Jeremiah love can be that guy.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_01]: So can you build your offense around him?
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: If it's a running back centric offense, absolutely.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: Other teams will see running back differently.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: Other teams will see linebackers differently.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I think in love's case, if he falls out of the tap 10, I would be stunned.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, and if both he and styles go top five, I, you know, I did a whole video for F on sports about these guys are going to go high at positional value be damn because we're just too good.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_06]: So I kind of want to pivot from draft talk a little bit of some of I'm curious about, especially getting an opportunity to have you here on our show.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_06]: As I've been a fan of your work since I was in middle school.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_06]: That's tag old.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you know, just to throw it out because I mean, I was just in high grade right there, man.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_06]: In middle school, I was skip lunch and go to the library and just be on the way on the internet and just read about sports.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't care about eating lunch.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_06]: I could eat when I get home food was better anyway.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_06]: You know, long story sort, um, I know that you're a Hall of Fame voter and we've had some of your colleagues that share that same credential, uh, I'm actually not, I am, uh, all pro and MVP voter amount of Hall of Fame voter.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, that Hall of Fame, I'm at MVP.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_06]: That's what I mean.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_06]: So my, my question and I'm trying to get into, um,
- 21:05[SPEAKER_06]: This year in 2025, Drake may finish in second place, vote wise for MVP.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_06]: And as we are, Watson and Commanders podcast, I'm curious how Jayden Daniels had such a impactful year last year.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_06]: He didn't finish top five in MVP votes with you being in that room.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_06]: And if you're willing to provide transparency and who you voted for,
- 21:31[SPEAKER_06]: Both years.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just curious how Drake may who didn't necessarily have a better season than Jayden Finne second 2025 and Jayden didn't Didn't even eclipse the the top five.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to remember who won I had like 350 draft names in my head.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: Right now What about who won MVP was at Lamar?
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was Josh Allen was Josh Allen was Josh Allen was Josh Allen.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: I voted for Lamar Jane Daniels, obviously, that's often it's working here.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: That was the And loved him.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, I got to watch tape with him the day before he won the Heisman.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: We talked for like half the time.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but like his slot fades his fade balls are just amazing
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: I voted for May in 25 because A, you have to vote before the postseason starts, and you know, that was that.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: And that's before Stafford was ripping up to Seahawks and all that.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: If I had, you know, if it was like post Super Bowl, I would have voted for Stafford.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think May is not not to go off on a Drake may thing, but his, his deep ball, his accuracy, his ability to work through disguise coverage, and he was essentially a rookie, because that
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: locked in the shed and set on fire.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think with Alan and Lamar in 2024, not to put anything on Jaden Danosity wasn't at that level, and I think with him it was so obvious that he was going to be a rookie of the year, it probably was going to be a double vote for a lot of people.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's my guess.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, appreciate that.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_06]: I know it was, I know we've been talking about draft prospects when I was just always been curious about like how that brun is, you know, as far as voting and how people go about the selection process.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know I know the whole of thing they get in a room or they go on zoom now with all pro and MVP, you get, um, they set up word docs and you send them back.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: So we're not in a room, go arguing about it.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_06]: Do you think it would be beneficial if you guys go to after postseason where do you like I was set up now?
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: It'll never happen because they want to announce everything at the NFL auto-strengths of war.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think it would be extremely beneficial because the games are more important in the postseason and more is on the line and there's more pressure and certainly I would have voted for Stafford for MVP based on what he did in the postseason when it made it in the postseason.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: Stafford just took it to a different level.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: So if I'd had those extra, if I'd had that extra month I would have
- 24:16[SPEAKER_05]: All right, yeah, I want to come back to the draft, because there's actually been a hot topic amongst the fan base and where you're going, why was yeah, yes, exactly where I'm going, what the why was he position and specifically because kind of take kind of gets a lot of that attention in.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_05]: I think we can all agree.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_05]: This is not a great legacy request by any means, especially not compared to what's coming out next year in the draft.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_05]: But Cardinal Tate is pretty much the only guy kind of been talked about when you talk about a top 10 prospect why I've received it this year.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_05]: But there's a lot of debate then.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_05]: even though the injuries have been there for Georgia tights.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_05]: He's probably the better NFL prospect.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_05]: How would you rank those guys and would you do you have Carnell Tate as a for one a top 10 receiver and do you think he has number one why receive a potentially NFL?
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: I've written about this a lot.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think right now you have to redefine what a wide receiver one in a WR1 like an XISO ball winner, Jamar Chase, you know, that level of guy and there are maybe two or three of those in the NFL in any given time if you're lucky.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think Tyson could be that guy, injuries are a major problem.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think Denzel Boskin from Washington as a potential to be that Chris Brasal from Tennessee could be that.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think Bryce Lance could be that.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: But these are guys in the right offense.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: But when you talk about a wide receiver one, you look at the lions.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the Rams.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: You look at, I mean, Smith and Jigba up here is the receiver one, but
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: he really wasn't in 24 and they're not using him as that big ball winner because that's not what he is.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: They use Rashid Shahi, they use her speed receiver to take the safeties with him.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's kind of the decoy and everything is open underneath.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: Sandra and I've got two of his three touch on passes and he has some championship game that way.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: With compressed formations, with motion, with receivers lining up all over the place as opposed to a really defined thing, what you're trying to do is confuse defenses to put them in bad positions where they can't quite catch up.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I think in these versions of offenses.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's why when the Bronco is treated for jail and what all my god, that's so perfect.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: It is so perfect because Peyton will put him all over the place.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_01]: He won't be in one spot.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: I remember when DeAndre happens when it was in Arizona and they put him left Isle like 97% of the time.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: He never moved.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: Anything's very different.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if even a guy like Hopkins at his peak is a lot easier to cover when you know
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's a long way of saying that, you know, could Cardinal tape view a legitimate WR1 in the right offense.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, could McCoy limit in the right offense.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, could Tyson if healthy.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I think Casey concepts you own from Texas A&M in a motion heavy offense.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: He could rip up your defense.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, you go down to God.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm just looking at my list here.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like, okay, there's no Jeremiah Smith.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: You get him next year.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: But there are so many guys.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: You go down to, I mean, Ted Hirsch from Georgia State, I love.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Bryce Lance, who might go in the third round.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: You've got all these guys.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: The Cincinnati kid who's just such a great route runner, you just go down and down Aaron Anderson from LSU who that passing game was weird last year because Nussmire was hurt.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: But I think there could be 25 to 30 receivers drafted.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not, you know, I refer to draft classes as either tall, which is you have all your superstars, your field filters, or it's wide, whether it's just a lot of depth.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: This draft, I would struggle to put first round grades on more than 12 guys, but once you get new about the third round boy, it is something else.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's just so, there is so much depth.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: So, that's how I would phrase the receiver debate for this year.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see it as a wheat class.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_04]: I would very, and please feel free to disagree to it.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_04]: I think that there's, you can be a good receiver and this is one element, right?
- 28:41[SPEAKER_04]: But you can be a good receiver, average receiver and like still have like a yacability,
- 28:54[SPEAKER_04]: and a lead receiver without the yac.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yars after catch and I think for Washington, if we were to be a Washington Senator here, I don't have any, I mean, outside of Terry, or any like in terms of threats, but you don't have really even like a yac,
- 29:17[SPEAKER_04]: Bang with him, like he just started like emphasizing that in 2024 that year, they didn't came along and he's been working on it.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_04]: It's been a main focus of his offseason.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's the point.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_04]: But like, what do you think about just the general theory about that one trait, but then also like who in this class do you think has that potential to be elite?
- 29:41[SPEAKER_04]: but also carries that yacability after the cash to really make plays happen when the ball gets in their hands.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I would have to start with Zachara a branch from Georgia because all the guy ran with screens like over 50% screens and like what are you guys doing?
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: This is just stupid.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: Um, like a Omar Cooper Jr. really good with that.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: Um, concepts you on is very good with that.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: Just looking at my notes here.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, Jimmy Bernard from Alabama, good with that.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: Ted Hurst from Georgia State, who I mentioned again, smaller school guy, but he was doing stuff against better schools when his team was just getting demolished.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: He was still, he was still showing up.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_06]: And I'll help you out, Chris.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was just looking to him.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: And Chris Bell, by the way, is maybe the best receiver in this class against press coverage, too.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a guy to watch.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and yeah, I mean, it depends.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: If you're, if you're getting yak and you're contested, that's one thing.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: If you're, you know, if you've got cow pasture and front of you and you're getting yak, well, okay, that's cool.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: But I think the numbers, the numbers can be a little deluding when it comes to that.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: You got to watch the tape and go, okay, how are you getting those yards after catch?
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, or it can pretty much do whatever you want to do.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: I would agree that they need someone probably in the middle rounds to accentuate that.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_06]: So with with Washington now hiring the first time in the field defense corner in Dorante Jones who we expected replicate what Brian Flores was running defensively in Minnesota at Pake 7.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_06]: Do you feel like the value for that defense?
- 31:31[SPEAKER_06]: Like where do you feel like the most important value is position wise for that defense is it's a liking someone at corner such as, you know, what you mock mess or delay.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_06]: Safety, Kayla Downs or linebacker such as what you compare the Fred Warner Sunny Styles.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_06]: What are you seeing?
- 31:51[SPEAKER_06]: If those three names are on the board at seven, where do you feel brings the best value for the scheme that they intend to run and for Washington's roster as is compiled so far?
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's not even a scheme question.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a, you don't have an outside corner question.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: You don't know what you don't have that guy.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: You got, you got to get him.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: It would be a nice luxury to especially if it's a Flora style defense, which I agree that it will be, you know, they have Josh Mantellus to sort of that do it all guy, although Mantellus is one with box player.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: if they could grab a, you know, Caleb downs, maybe they get their corner later.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, possible.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: But I would say, I mean, for me, it would be between delaying McCoy as the obvious, whoever's there is seven that you'd like more get your corner because,
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: That corner situation last year was really bad.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: When I studied the commanders, I'm like, man, this will not stand.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I, like I said, I know Dan Quinn from his time in Seattle, it had to be driving him nuts.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if he had Harry, it would have been pulling it out.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I know what that's like.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: So, um,
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think that's you know lineback or sure safety sure.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean they they accentuated edge.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think their linebackers, you know, they got they got Chanel, they got Louvu.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's that's good safety is okay.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: They're they're deficit at corner is the thing that really killed them last year and it's going to kill them this year again, if they don't fix it.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_05]: And my last question and kind of want to talk about the edge group because we haven't really discussed those guys, but there's a prospect that's kind of been he's polarized and that's real been bangley, what do you make of him does the arm left things scare you away from.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's funny, my two cops are Ruben Banner, Joe Frazier and Mike Tyson, because they both did the same thing as boxers.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: They got in your reach, and then they just demolished, they killed your body.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: They killed your face.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: Ali was so much lengthier, but when Frazier got inside, he would just bust up Ali's inside, and that's how the first fight went, the 71 fight.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: uh, Tyson was the same way.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: I swear he got it from Frazier where he would just he would, you know, elude you and elude you and then get inside and with that punching power, which is actually made more powerful by the short arms because you've got less time to travel.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, with Bane, I know he's a severe outlier.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: Cash is howl is another guy with really short arms.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: And with Bane, I just see him work with power.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a defensive tap as Lord body.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: And this guy is utterly relentless, done in a speedway, not even in a speed to powerway.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: This man wants to hurt you.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that in an assault way, not in a, he should be arrested way, but that's his playing personality.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: How was more bending and, you know, he's got more techniques?
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: Banging just wants to drive through you.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: Now, are there some tackles who will just zap him with that at the NFL?
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: A little sure.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, are there other tackles who would think, yeah, I got to sky and, you know, the Tyson quote, everyone has a plan till they get punched in the mouth.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot of the NFL blockers are going to fight with Ruben Bane.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: You had a plan till you got punched in the mouth.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now you know, this guy's different.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's different.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: He reminds me of Brandon Rammelot, who played for a long time very well, didn't have that wingspan, didn't have that arm length, the way he played didn't matter.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not, I'm not worried about that much at all.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_06]: Top 10 cake, Bo.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: Top 20, top 15, okay.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I, I've mocked him to the chiefs at nine, and that was before McCoy blew it up at his pro.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think McCoy gets past the chiefs now, but if Rubin made slug, didn't like to top 12, I wouldn't be surprised at all.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's that good.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, the, um, I appreciate you joining us.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_04]: I, I, we've had at least like, I think it's getting on close to 30.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_04]: So I, I appreciate your time and being generous with your time.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_04]: I want to give you the floor now to plug anything and everything that you got going on and hopefully we could get you on on a back end once we get to the players that we draft the five or six players that they got with their picks.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, I got a C-Hox Mach coming up on field goals and S-B-Nation.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: The Mach I did.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_01]: This is the what I would do first from Mach on Athlon Sports at one of Monday.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: I got a thing on Garrett Nussmire coming up on Athlon tomorrow because I think if you watch Garrett Nussmire's 2024 tape and how different it was when he was hurt.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: Now that he's healthy, I think you could see Garrett Nussmire going in the second round.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's better than Tyson.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's QB too.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_01]: So that comes out tomorrow.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_01]: I have a two round coming up on S.B.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: Nation on Thursday.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be doing a Q&A along with that.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: So people can tell me what an idiot I was for getting a long picture of the teams.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what it right now.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: Just as you guys are, I'm sure I'm just trying to stick three months of work into the next three weeks.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, for a person like you and a lot of the the draft analysts, like this is a make sure you got yeah, you said three weeks.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_04]: I just a little bit of count.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you got about three weeks.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_04]: It's a lot and then the post the post draft analysis, so you got a busy month and a half coming up with Doug and I might guess we do too, you know, but you know, definitely appreciate show work on me.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_04]: Everybody that's in the chat listening live, you know, where to find them as
- 37:27[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and, uh, may I appreciate your Jonas, they stay safe this weekend.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_04]: They save this week.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, my pleasure.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: Take care, gentlemen.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I see you, sir.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_04]: I see you, see you, go.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_04]: I may feel close.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I see you, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go
- 37:57[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they're gonna say, Adam, there we go.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_04]: Brother, brother, man.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_04]: Ha ha ha.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_04]: The boss, like, is amazing out to the catch.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_04]: Like, you probably never seen a break like breaking and make people shake like on like an 80-yarder, right?
- 38:14[SPEAKER_04]: But,
- 38:15[SPEAKER_04]: The acting he gives is super important and what I mean by that is like he can shake he can shake you if he if it looks like you got Seven yards ago for a first down and the defenders at air To stop him five four yards short he'll find a way to get that for half Like those are important yet yards But he also broke some from like 40 50
- 38:39[SPEAKER_04]: all those things.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_04]: But that's also to the kind of the narrative or theory that I'm in, man.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_04]: It's a lot of receivers.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_04]: If you think about the lead receivers, like there's good in there's average receivers who are really good after the catch and like had Doug said, um, depending on how you utilize them, that's how you can emphasize that skill set.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_04]: But if you're in a lead receiver, you got all the tools and yet it's one that you ain't lacking.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, that's that's pretty interesting man Doug was a cool, cool guest.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_04]: This go is on the sensei like he's he's falling in love with the lane after hearing Doug speak on his thoughts as well.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_04]: That's so good.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_06]: I got the thing with the corner thing like I just feel like.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you always want like a Patrick Sardin type of corner.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_06]: You feel me, but at the end of the day, the person is probably going to make the more impact from this stance of the defense is either going to be a pass rush or a versatile safety that can play some some slot.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_06]: Blitz just being the box or some of these styles like a little lineback or like I just don't see even if you look at the history of like Brian Flores defense you never had like an all-pro corner or shut down corner.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_04]: But if you get an outside corner, when the likes of San Rooster and the MIG Robinson who are capable blisters, when that allowed them to do something more effectively than that as opposed to, because if they're outside corners, compared to a delaying, that you're delaying or delaying, like you can keep your guy outside on the island, but if one of, if not both of you effective blisters are on the outside,
- 40:37[SPEAKER_06]: How are you going to bring it in, but then I still got a weak link in trade.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think he has said it in a corner, right?
- 40:43[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, you don't shut down.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_06]: You don't.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_06]: He really does it.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_05]: But you need a very solid corner though, it's a solid number.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying it has seven.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_06]: I can't.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_06]: I can't see, I can't see them going corner.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know, but at the end of the day, we've been wrong in the past.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_06]: Like we gotta jump on the knee.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_06]: We gotta jump on the knee.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_06]: We gotta jump on the knee.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_06]: We gotta jump on the knee.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I think at seven, they could go anywhere, right?
- 41:08[SPEAKER_06]: But corner would really shock me.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_06]: Like if we had to say, well, we got to stop here.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_05]: AJ and and I say it because I'm and I get it because right now I'm really high on a Sunday South.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_05]: I was like if you're talking about a freer one and take a prospect and we know Adam Peters was in San Francisco when he drafted a freer one that kind of changes your defense, but at the same time if you go corner back in there,
- 41:29[SPEAKER_05]: is a big need to call it back in man sort of the lane walks in day one your best corner back on a team that's right now you're looking at the corner back room is questionable like it wouldn't shock me and it would help this team in his dug as I eggs dug that would be a position cornerstone like he would be the starting cornerstone piece for your defense I mean I couldn't be upset if that's the pick at number seven.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_06]: It's going to be a very intriguing day for a commander's chance for us in anticipation of the peak and even afterwards, you know, because we really don't know how to how the board is going to fall, but I think at seven, they're going to get a quality play.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_06]: I just feel like.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_06]: If I had the list impact, especially if they're going defense, I think corner would be kind of last on that on that list if you mentioned names and like Caleb down some styles, I think corner they could they could they could they could add somebody else to the quarterback room, but I just don't think I would go seven or wrong with delay.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_04]: Anthony asked us if we think AP ideally, AP wants to trade back from seven.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_04]: I do think it's an interesting question, because as Asia's mentioned, we just, we don't know exactly what
- 42:55[SPEAKER_04]: It's going to happen at seven.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_04]: I think ultimately Anthony there's going to be some viable options when you're picking that high in this draft right like you're going to have some talent there that you really if you think about it and you ain't going to want to trade back like you you wanted we don't know who is going to be but it's going to be somebody there on draft night and you can be like.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_04]: please, please, put the ticket in, put the letter and whatever it is, and but I also think like, who's going to be willing to pay a price tag for like moving up?
- 43:37[SPEAKER_04]: Um, you'd have to, I don't think that they'll be willing to fall too far back.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_04]: Um, so like Ruben Bane was the name that
- 43:46[SPEAKER_04]: You know, was just discussed.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_04]: And Doug said that he can see it top 20 for sure.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_04]: He didn't necessarily just say top 10, be top 20.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm not saying you trade, you're trading back for him exclusively.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_04]: But if he's there and he's one of the people that you think is gonna be there if you trade back to like, I don't have the draft slot in front of me.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_04]: But like 10 or 11 or maybe 12, right?
- 44:15[SPEAKER_04]: You may take that risk and there's going to be some other names that like of course that we're going to be thinking about or that they're going they're going they're going to be thinking about that I'm not bringing up like if they're if they think they're going to be there like 10 or 12 between 10 and 12 10 and 15 I think that is it's a it's a possibility but where do I think the percentage is Anthony I think it's less than 10%.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_04]: I think they want to stay at 7.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_06]: I see Washington trade and up, like trade and up later, ended it in the first round before trade impact.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_06]: It don't make sense to trade back.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_06]: You have a sweet spot in the draft.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_06]: Like, you literally can get a guy.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I mean, Doug just said, in here, you know, and things 12 guys are really first round picks.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_06]: So if you got picks up and someone, you know, as credible as Doug believes only 12 players is really worthy of that pick, where would you be traded back to you be taking yourself up and mix it one of those 12 guys.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_05]: Well, not only that is, Adam Pete is also said what I've been kind of think of for a while.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_05]: It's not easy to trade back in a draft.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_05]: That's not quarterback heavy.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_05]: Like typically those drafts, when you've got a lot of quarterbacks that's going in the first round, it's a lot easier to trade back, but this isn't that draft.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't think you're gonna really have that opportunity there and because you probably don't have a strong first round class,
- 45:42[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I don't really see teams being at press that kind of trade up when you do kind of have that death as Doug was talking about the why receiver position like And Doug he'd kind of solidified a familiar.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_05]: There's really no reason to go first round why I received especially that said that the number seven pickful watches in this year, especially when you're talking about, you know, there's going to be 25 to 30 receivers being drafted.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_05]: You could possibly get a start from receiver at pick number 71 in the third round.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, I don't think this is a giraffe that you trade down when you're in the top 10 because for one like I said, I don't think the opportunity is going to be there and too.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_05]: You might as well get one of the few best guys on one of those few first round talents that's actually created a first round talent in this draft while you got to change.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_06]: I never said that.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_06]: I said that you drafted a guy like Mansour, who's expected to be a shut down corner, tends to just target the other side.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_06]: And I just feel like the corners within this scheme.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_06]: They matter, but they don't matter as much or more so getting to quarterback is feeding up that process and giving the corners opportunity to jump routes and stuff like that.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_06]: That's what I was getting to.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_04]: My name's Paul mentioned Tyler, I'll just a couple of times.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_04]: And during the owner's meetings, Dan Klan and Adam Peters have spoken on that position, essentially, you know, the decision for couldn't be honest, you know, they had their reasons, but they said it wasn't anything personal in a sense, right?
- 47:30[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was a couple episodes ago.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_04]: I know I said don't align.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't, I don't know if I said it on the podcast.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_04]: But I mean, Senator, it's still a pretty, I think it's a noticeable like hole on the roster.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_04]: We know they went for Linda Bomb and free agency.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_04]: But I think with Linda Bomb, it makes sense, right?
- 47:55[SPEAKER_04]: Ultimately, you go for a guy that you think is these stood at center, um, you're going to put yourself in the mix.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, but like if you can't get them what do you do right.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_04]: Um, that's understandable.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_04]: But.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think that's the end of like upgrading the position.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_04]: It was clear as day when you cut Tyler and this is a price cut for most people, like they wasn't happy with how he played.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_04]: And just because they were content and even Adam Peters and Dan Quinn mentioned it in the press was doing there during the owners' meetings, like they were super impressed with Nick Allegretti.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's fair, but does that mean
- 48:43[SPEAKER_04]: Um, like, you only seen them for like a three game sample size.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_04]: That's not 17 games and for for Washington, I think when you're going to a season with Nick Allen Grady, and I don't know who the back of me, as I can remember his name.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_04]: Um, but it's the center of the system.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, two centers.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_04]: Um, that's not stable.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_04]: That's not safe or like even like from a depth standpoint, like that's not quality and I think the way that people address the center position online in responses and saying that center has been the importance of the center position has been degraded or downgraded or whatever the phrase they use, I think they're completely wrong.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_04]: Like, it's one of the most important positions on the offense because of how much you have to communicate, and how much you have to direct and how much you have to make sure you in your office of Lyman, you're running back, you're tight in.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_04]: And your quarterback are all on the same page.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_04]: And it starts at the center for most teams.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_04]: I may not use the center, but majority do.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_04]: And I will guarantee you that in Washington, the center is going to be another one of those teams that is going to be super relying upon communicating between quarterback and the offensive line of the very least and the running back and making sure that everybody on the same page.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_04]: So to think that Nick Allegra, he's just be guy.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_04]: I think they're going to be looking for more
- 50:19[SPEAKER_04]: and in the draft.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I mean, I think we also got to mention that today or either yesterday, but it came out today, another name got mentioned in that role of a film and Tyler behind the shoes, and that was Brandon Coleman, Dan Quinn mentioned that he was going to compete at guard and also get opportunity and center as well.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_06]: But I do think that they're not done with that center position, whether it be the draft or still let free agency has free agency is still going on.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_06]: It's not a three day thing free agency still has some players.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_06]: or anything close to that nature, you got guys in the area, such as Tom Rivera, which I've seen a couple hours before.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God, I can still believe that, bro.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I can still see it.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_06]: He said that time would be.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_06]: I need to see.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_06]: Was the most, he, he's the best player on the office of mine.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm still wearing the drum.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_06]: It's my three.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_06]: How's that, are you dead at?
- 51:40[SPEAKER_06]: My.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_06]: You can't be in and that's just where it's like some hundreds just when Washington said to be ass so bad.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_05]: He wasn't even a top three player in the office online.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, he's not.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so it's just like
- 51:54[SPEAKER_06]: When you look at it from the grand scheme of things, you hope that they get a solidified handset center.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, it would be insane if Brandon Coleman was able to say.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, that might be racist, bro.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_04]: That might be racist, bro.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_04]: Come on, son.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_04]: We know who we know who the number one offensive line was.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_04]: And some circles to make it a qualifier is every circle in the world that follows football.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_04]: And more importantly, to watch the commander,
- 52:23[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I mean, you never know what these old heads.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, that's why we here, we got our platform, we utilize it how we choose to, but I just kind of believe that someone that accomplished with post-South and that disingenuous, but at the end of the day, you know?
- 52:42[SPEAKER_06]: When you old, you don't give a damn about what you, what you got to say.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_04]: But he only got to be on Twitter, but he can write the article.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_04]: It automatically goes to his account.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_04]: And he can be in Florida using the Uber and sit on a beach all day.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_04]: And not even get online, Amber.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so I mean, I think that that's something that's going to interest me with the rest of this offseason.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_06]: It's the brand and calling the situation.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_06]: Because it just seems like he doesn't have a true position.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_06]: you know what what happens with a guy like that and could he possibly be sent.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_06]: I mean that would be if I'm not mistaken, Brandon's will at six, six, three, 25.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_06]: He probably wanted the bigger centers in the NFL because most centers are like six, three, three, 10.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_06]: But we've seen some guys transition from like,
- 53:32[SPEAKER_06]: tackle guard to center one of those names, who even got released as off season.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_06]: Elgin Jenkins from the Packers, he transitioned and played center in the damn good job.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, let's see what Brandon Coleman can do.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_06]: I think he has an opportunity in front of him if he can make that transition.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_06]: That'll be a hell of an office of lunch with Lerny at
- 54:01[SPEAKER_06]: and then kind of the junior and right tackle.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_04]: Brock, what's up, man, so look, I'm gonna go ahead.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_04]: I think, well, we don't have our social media handles on here, but you know, the way our overlays are set up, you're not really gonna see our display names unless I show it to you in this fashion, right?
- 54:22[SPEAKER_04]: So that's kind of where we are, but it's blocked by our overlays.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_04]: So you'll never really see,
- 54:30[SPEAKER_04]: our handles, um, in this fashion, uh, but the person that you're talking about is age eight, I was just talking, same, same wall, I think it's social media handles.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_04]: Um, man, look, so I think another position that was important, and I'm glad that Doug, I'm, and he had
- 54:53[SPEAKER_04]: Jeremiah was the best player in the draft, but you know, Dan Quinn, I think it was mentioned how he's open to run it back at seven.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_04]: Um, he's open to run a bad period in the draft, right?
- 55:12[SPEAKER_04]: And he didn't say that verbator.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_04]: And he just said, I reminder that we drafted cross-key merit in the seven frown.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_04]: So it's like, wow, I, I am very much open to taking I run it back at seven.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_04]: We don't have to get one at seven.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_04]: Um, I, I still think despite that part, right?
- 55:32[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and money bought this to you.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_04]: I don't, I believe the one they say there's nobody that was going to trade for the others.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_04]: uh, I ain't gonna lie to you.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_04]: I do think it was just one of the reasons.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_04]: I don't have a reason to not believe them in that specific aspect, right?
- 55:49[SPEAKER_04]: Um, but to Jeremiah love, um, I do think that they're very much, uh, impressed by him.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, like, what's it going to take for them to draft him, depending on who's on the board?
- 56:02[SPEAKER_04]: That's seven.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_04]: But I think it'll be a hard,
- 56:09[SPEAKER_04]: decision not to or if if like he's there like I think I think he may be the favorite if he does make it to seven regardless of who's there I just would love to see the options.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, Jayden needs to help her.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you can always make that argument because they need weapons on this team and he would be the ultimate weapon in this kind of hard to justify passing up on it.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just still having a hard time seeing Jeremiah love fall to seven at this point.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, I think he's a top five player.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, Tennessee could possibly go in that direction, but it's not one even to be shocked that Giants wanted to go in that direction.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_05]: But
- 56:48[SPEAKER_05]: I do think if he falls there, especially being kind of the consensus at least top two player in his draft, you probably do have to take him at that point, you know, for Washington.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I'm with you two more, you know, as far as the action is on the board, what are the options, but
- 57:07[SPEAKER_05]: what option could be on the board at the time of a Jeremiah love that you could possibly say yet as the better position for Washington.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I think maybe some styles makes that argument.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_05]: And outside of that, I'm struggling to find who would be on the board at that point that would be the, yeah, you could take this guy of a Jeremiah love if he falls the second.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I don't think if love is on the board at seven, you got to run to the clock and take that.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_06]: Cause I mean, a lot of the accommodations that have been made to this roster have been defensively.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_06]: And if you sit back and look at the roster, our offensively, the only thing you can sit back in and really like point two is that they're going to be running a different offense than what they've been doing with Cliff Kingsbury.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_06]: But they don't have enough weapons on the office
- 58:02[SPEAKER_06]: You're just hoping that the defense is better than what has been in the past and jaded him continue to be Elite, but do you want to be Superman or do you want to be able to play play his game?
- 58:14[SPEAKER_06]: And I think what you add jating things and love together in a backfield and just having those those threats
- 58:22[SPEAKER_06]: It changes the entire dynamic of what this offense can be in the potential for guys to truly eat at wide receiver tight in like a ticket quad crew, even a John Vates and playing off a play action.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_06]: Because when you talk about like the the best running backs in the league, there's really only
- 58:44[SPEAKER_06]: I guess, depending on how you want to name it, but like most people think B. John Robertson and Jimmy or Gibbs are the top running backs in the lead, right?
- 58:52[SPEAKER_06]: They're not playing with dynamic quarterback, such as a Jaden Daniel skillset, but could you imagine if B. John or Jimmy or was with a pairing of a Jaden Daniels?
- 59:04[SPEAKER_06]: Like it opens up so much, especially for David Flowers going
- 59:11[SPEAKER_06]: it just it makes the the office kind of like limitless it as far as what it can do.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_06]: So that's where it's just like if he happens to be there seven you got to take a bite.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_06]: I'll give it down who's on the board.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_06]: You got to take him.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_06]: But you know that's where the draft is intriguing.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_06]: I think I heard a stat last week.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_06]: The draft gets more viewers dead.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_06]: and be a final games and stuff like that.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_06]: It's crazy.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, because everyone's in anticipation of what their team might be doing and who might be the next best thing, because not every player that goes first round is going to make it to be an elite guy.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_06]: You never know.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_06]: You could be watching for the next time rated the next Fred Warner, the next Max Crosby.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_06]: Lamar Jackson got picked 32.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_06]: I just take the intrigue is at such a high level and really for a love he could go to New York.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_06]: He could go to Tennessee.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_06]: He could even go to Arizona.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_06]: You know, like you just really don't know, but I think that's where you know, when someone asks about trading back, why the hell would you trade back when you in a sweet spot?
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_06]: You know, a perfect spot in the drive and number seven to get a guy to get a dude as they would say.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_04]: Shout out to Gerard, BTV, man.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_04]: I was just looking at your tweet on Chopin Dive about the intro music, man.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_04]: It's crazy.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_04]: Like, the dude, my man, my taste made it classy.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_04]: And it's crazy because people asked for a full song and I'd be hating to tell them to look, man.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_04]: They didn't know full song, Brad, just to look.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_06]: And we should be mixing, let us get a verse on that.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_04]: It's crazy.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_05]: No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I mean I
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_04]: That's a dynamic player.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_04]: You don't really see like, you don't get that, that often in terms of what he can do in the past game, hand-wren game.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_04]: And typically even like, if you think about it, when we talked about our top five free agent sign as I mentioned Richard Wright was in my top five, right, he was like five out of here, five out of B.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_04]: He can catch the ball, he's a solid pass question in the back field, but he ain't running routes like,
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_04]: Jeremiah love he's not aligned in the slot or even out wide like Jeremiah love right like those are the different elements of a of a receiver or pass catching run it back there some have him.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_04]: Um, yeah, I think that's kind of where the dynamic of the difference in in terms of where he can bring.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, and in and even Doug mentioned it like he can play in all types of schemes.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_04]: He's not he's not elevated.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_04]: He's not relegated such as one scheme.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_04]: So.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_04]: Like that is a big deal.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and your odd man just just hit me up.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, I see a lot of my friends in your school, man.
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_05]: Like, Jaraga folks, I know him for a minute, but man, uh, shout out the big Brock man.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_05]: He love man.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_05]: So the link, I like him too.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_05]: Big Brock.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_05]: I would love the pick.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_05]: I think AJ might be the only one on the board that would be a super fan of the pick.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_05]: But that's a great man.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I would love the pick man.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I mean, I happen to have it.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_06]: I might man so good, like,
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_06]: To be honest with you, I can't get Virginia Tech tape out of my head.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I've seen them with that looks like we felt like a past rush.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_06]: And I mean, of course, that's an element for a lot of corners.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_06]: But it's like, I watch a lot of Virginia Tech tape.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_06]: But now I mean, I'm familiar with the kid coming out of the area.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_06]: But like, I can't get
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_06]: the the what two three years averaging a take out of my mind.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_04]: What is last year's holiday?
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_06]: Every time it's like his last year was he was he was he was cool.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_06]: But I mean I just can't get that V tech out of anybody.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_06]: Whether it been every two and a half and it was running back.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_06]: You got to cover Jones is in the draft.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_06]: My boy represent him.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_06]: I don't even know, yeah, I mean, he won't go on drafted on it like we, but yeah, I just can't get that V2 tape out of my head, but I mean, I think he did well at LSU.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just, I'm just cheers with the dawn with the corner back because I can't lie.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_06]: So I could understand where someone from the outside could be looking at corner back for watch to, because I mean,
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_06]: You, you added last week the kilo when the spoon was like a 6162 corner you got Mike Sandstrill who was like five nine you got I wouldn't try to go up and stay where a meet Robert said it was five eight five nine and trade a most coming off the injury is like yeah you do need some some more corners I don't really know I don't know I wouldn't go there seven.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_06]: But, you know, I think we also got to see out the board plans because love can be gone.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_06]: Sunny Styles can be out the board at five and then you stuck there with, hey, do I go corner?
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_06]: Now's Ruin Bane.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_06]: Hopefully not, why have you seen Rintate?
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_06]: But I wouldn't even be mad at Jordan Cicene.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_05]: Well, are we buying Johnny new stuff?
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_05]: That was the latest hype piece for Dan Quinn.
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_06]: Great, Drake, you know that you don't know the answer on that.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_04]: All right, yeah, I didn't seen enough to know like, and y'all know how I felt about who they should have got.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_04]: He plays in Tennessee.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_04]: Well, he got traded, but we got traded to the Gets, right?
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_04]: If a German Johnson, yeah, I can't believe that shit, bro.
- 1:05:07[SPEAKER_04]: But, um, and that's not a knock on Johnny, like, I'm, it is.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I like, it's, it's not going to sit knock on Johnny.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_04]: Um, but like, I don't think that, like, I think when people read into the TV, a little bit too much, they think that like his role or his, his skill set is just going drastically get, like, to to probe a level, um, he may play a little bit better.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_04]: And I do think it's interesting because I specifically remember this conversation with JP Friendly, and I was trying to tail him at the time that
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_04]: Johnny Newton was probably still recovering from his foot injuries.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_04]: Eddie had and and that moment because I had the Liz Frank injury and he didn't had the Liz it was the one under the Liz Frank but he had it on both both feet like the recovery time to deal with that breath and the pain itself that you still recover from regardless of if it's a Liz Frank or not.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_04]: It's going to hurt you.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_04]: Like you're going to be in pain.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_04]: So it don't matter if it was a Liz Frank or night.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_04]: Like you were going to deal with some shit.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_04]: And that's exactly what Dan Quinn was alluding to in his pressures.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and granted, I want to acknowledge like this may have been an excuse from Dan.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_04]: Like just trying to find reasons to motivate him.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_04]: But,
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_04]: It doesn't mean that it's not true.
- 1:06:31[SPEAKER_04]: And I think Johnny knew nothing and one of his interviews over the season or something like that mentioned his his foot injuries as well.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_04]: So like he's I'm not spit ball in here, but at the end of the day, like do I think that he's going to get better maybe.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_04]: I don't, I don't like, I'm not banking on it, but also just think his frame is natural frame.
- 1:06:50[SPEAKER_04]: He's not going to be able to do the duties of like a dual purpose interior defensive lineman.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_04]: He just serves as a pass.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_04]: And as a coordinator for like the Rente Jones, you just want to be able to just adjust to it and understand how best to use him.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I mean, I think if y'all haven't learned anything from traveling down.
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_06]: When Dan Quinn starts hyping up players, the professors, just know it's bullshit.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I mean, we seen it with Clark Martin, right?
- 1:07:23[SPEAKER_06]: Like last year, he had people in the media that covered the team and fans, believing that Clark Martin was going to turn the corner and be an all-properennial safety.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_06]: And he looked like straight acts.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_06]: As asked, asked, like big sound ramp about.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I just feel like DQ uses the the pressures and the tidbits to help motivate guys, but they are all the Lawrence cageer fans.
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_06]: It was another way.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_06]: They all are who they are.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_06]: And I mean, you know, another guy they got mentioned.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_06]: Ben Senate, you know, he didn't get mentioned as far as like height per se, but more so from the standpoint of like,
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I liked the way he moves and pretty much blocks.
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_06]: He didn't draft that man second round as a tight end to be this blocking tight end.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_06]: He drafted him to be your tight end number one.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_06]: Obviously, that's not going to be the case with Chika Kwaku signing his multi-year deal.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_06]: He's tight end one.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_06]: John Dates is tight end two.
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, I think you have some interesting players
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_06]: who makes the 53 or not, like, I think Johnny Branson's death, but at the end of the day, like, hall and move it to, he's just a password.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_06]: You're not gonna be able to take on double tables to stop the run and they dig his death there on the D-line.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_06]: So, this is gonna be intriguing for some of these younger guys that they invested, you know, draft picks into such as the brand name.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_04]: You have my disco.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_04]: All right, Jerry.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_04]: That's what you said.
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_04]: You know, this girl's gonna be scary.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_06]: I don't hate, I don't hate Dan Quinn.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not, no, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, disco, you don't hate Dan Quinn.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I mean, I just don't, I, I really don't know where AP's ended the day goal is, you didn't like, I think there's another conversation with all this caproom like, what's the end of the day goal?
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_06]: You've known what they spent this year.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, they spent, they spent, but it's like,
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_06]: you also don't have a lot of players that you can provide access to either.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_06]: So it's like those three year deals this is the last year.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_06]: I think that's fair.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, don't it's probably the only one.
- 1:09:46[SPEAKER_06]: But and you, you've had a little problem.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Louis was probably going to get let go.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_04]: Um, at the end of history.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_04]: Well, this is last year.
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_04]: He's probably going to get let go.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_04]: You know, um, I do think, damn, I just, I forgot, this go through me of, um, who was it?
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_04]: I forgot the position.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, I don't know this go.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_04]: I forgot I forgot the position.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_04]: So I did this go.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_04]: He pulled up the, he pulled up over the weekend, man.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_04]: We got to see his old days, bro.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_04]: I know this.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_04]: I ain't going to throw this out there, but I know this go with that over.
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_04]: I thought he was, I thought he was a little bit younger than that, man.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna pay him.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna pay him around like a, uh, people are like a manager of how early he is.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_06]: Everything he does.
- 1:10:39[SPEAKER_06]: But those that follow this go, he's 70 years old, bro.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, he turned 70 in a couple of months, he moved like he 55.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_06]: Now this is going to be more energy now, all three of us can buy.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_04]: Hey man, so next week we have a really good guess going on for those I said in the chat now.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_04]: And that we'll see next week next Tuesday, 7 o'clock.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_04]: And yes, to Paul, that's all right, that was not just Jayden, not just Jayden.
- 1:11:19[SPEAKER_04]: That was kind of one of the things like, they did their spending this year to Paul but like a big deal is like just figuring out exactly what they want to spend their money on for the down the line.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_04]: Some of these people ain't worth a damn.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think that's necessarily their fault, but it was their fault.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_06]: Like, yeah, they hit on, they hit on not any draft fix outside of Jesus.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_06]: You don't have nobody, that's the word.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_04]: They're going to, if you look at it right now, they'll extend Jordan McGee, and they'll extend Mike Santer still.
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_06]: No, those are two guys that were known.
- 1:11:59[SPEAKER_04]: they'll they'll extend them whether it's a year or two years with three years.
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_06]: The mom didn't you do a film breakdown on Jordan McGee?
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_06]: Or you didn't.
- 1:12:10[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think I do.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I think.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't think so.
- 1:12:14[SPEAKER_06]: If if I could put in a request for you, because you, I'm not going back on Jordan.
- 1:12:19[SPEAKER_04]: No, I'm not.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, because I I feel like Jordan McGee is overrated in my house as far as like how
- 1:12:27[SPEAKER_04]: I think the lack of seeing Sala and Sala is being makes them think a certain way, but there's also some bad things with the hate game, like, so I'm saying like, people get re-signed, that necessarily it's a play on defense or offense, but like, yeah, exactly, that's why I'm saying like, and even with San Cristino, he's not gonna go somewhere else and get it started.
- 1:12:56[SPEAKER_04]: There's plenty of space for him here in Washington.
- 1:12:59[SPEAKER_04]: Ain't nobody else on the roster.
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_06]: But I think I wish, I wish like we could have asked some of these questions that they've been available at the meeting because I feel like some of the times some of the reporters miss some questions they can ask.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_06]: If they're willing to let Brandon Coleman try, you know, a new position at center.
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_06]: I will also want to see some or hear about the flexibility and like the Sanctuary possibly plans to safety.
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_06]: That's something, that's a gen that I've been pushing because I don't believe either outside corner and I also believe some continents that like Mike he fell in love with him as a slot.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_06]: I don't believe that he's an NFL slot either.
- 1:13:42[SPEAKER_06]: So I think he can play in the NFL.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't know where exactly he can be
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_06]: a starter, but man, I just think that a lot of this all season is intriguing and we've been doing the show for our fifth to eight minutes.
- 1:14:01[SPEAKER_06]: We need to get to a lot of the commentary that came out of the end.
- 1:14:04[SPEAKER_06]: The angels meet in from Dan Quinn and Adam Peters.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_06]: It's just so much to touch on.
- 1:14:10[SPEAKER_06]: I think this roster is not where you would like you to be to say on paper they could
- 1:14:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't think it's I don't think it's a top tier roster and I want to like cut through that like I think that's a period like I think it's a top tier roster period, but I also think we're talking about a roster that is already different
- 1:14:49[SPEAKER_04]: and a good way than what it was last year.
- 1:14:51[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that's what you, that's the only thing that they can really expect.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_04]: Or maybe that's what you got to keep, you got to keep building and that's what this draft part is next.
- 1:15:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:15:04[SPEAKER_04]: Um, just go, man, come on, Brett.
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_04]: I ain't, I ain't, I ain't jownin' I'm just, make it come to this story.
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_06]: This goes just, you know what I mean?
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_06]: He's talking about, like, trans guy.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_06]: I don't even, I don't even think of, I, where is he?
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_06]: He's on the roster.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_04]: He's on the roster.
- 1:15:21[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you're the rest of those to him.
- 1:15:24[SPEAKER_06]: So look for, I was going to ask, who are like, if you can then three players you really like on Washington's roster, who do you really like?
- 1:15:34[SPEAKER_04]: Like as in like personally or like as a player.
- 1:15:39[SPEAKER_05]: Learn.
- 1:15:39[SPEAKER_05]: I was at a jay to let me tanzo.
- 1:15:43[SPEAKER_05]: defensively the new guys.
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_05]: I mean trade.
- 1:15:46[SPEAKER_05]: I like trade moves.
- 1:15:47[SPEAKER_05]: I do like trade moves.
- 1:15:50[SPEAKER_05]: Of course, Cosmy, I like Cosmy.
- 1:15:52[SPEAKER_05]: And I like what Connolly is showing.
- 1:15:55[SPEAKER_05]: I like Jay Laine is a pop return.
- 1:15:56[SPEAKER_05]: I think he's something that pop return and we have a hand that's very long time.
- 1:16:00[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:16:00[SPEAKER_05]: So I actually think the 2025 draft is a lot better than fans might think it is up to this point, because you didn't have that many picks.
- 1:16:08[SPEAKER_05]: And I think you got a lot of quality from that draft because outside of Kane Madrono, who we just didn't see much of an edge draft, I think everybody contributed.
- 1:16:17[SPEAKER_05]: And there's one thing that you just...
- 1:16:19[SPEAKER_04]: Here's the only thing and when you got a wrap about it too much, but here's the only thing that I do think it's important that I thought about and it's actually a question I want to say it's you brought up to the jury and I was thinking about this for the last three days that one of the bigger things for Washington bro is like, I was thinking about the chiefs.
- 1:16:40[SPEAKER_04]: And how Chris Jones, right, was a staple for their franchise for seven plus years.
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know the exact number.
- 1:16:51[SPEAKER_04]: Seven plus years, Travis Kelsey, same thing, seven plus years, right?
- 1:16:56[SPEAKER_04]: You look in a green bait, you had Jordi Nelson at one point.
- 1:17:01[SPEAKER_04]: seven, eight plus years.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_04]: Um, you had, um, who's the defensive guy?
- 1:17:08[SPEAKER_04]: Charles Woodson, maybe.
- 1:17:11[SPEAKER_04]: You talk about Clay Matthews.
- 1:17:13[SPEAKER_04]: You go to a different, a different team.
- 1:17:15[SPEAKER_04]: You think about, um, let's go to Brandon Graham.
- 1:17:21[SPEAKER_04]: Um,
- 1:17:22[SPEAKER_04]: uh... who's the tackle that they had left tackle are on the right tackles ladies on this are you jacen peter still sorry both uh... jacen peter's langs awesome brand and grand
- 1:17:34[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, defensively, for let's say, um, I'll stop there because you can go around the league and we can do that for winning teams.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, I think one of the bigger things for Washington is like this, this staples on this team that's been here long enough ain't been good enough.
- 1:17:53[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and I think when you when when when you think about what Washington needs moving forward is like they need those players that you can claim going to, but also that fans can't really like not even a fan perspective.
- 1:18:07[SPEAKER_04]: That the organization can rally behind, but also know that they are super good and super impactful and some of the bigger games that Washington plays.
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_04]: And in Washington has had those moments in this new era.
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_04]: where these bigger games are here.
- 1:18:22[SPEAKER_04]: And I think about that, like, you only have Jaden, you don't have, I mean, you have Terry too, I'm sorry, Terry shows up.
- 1:18:31[SPEAKER_04]: But I mean, that's it.
- 1:18:33[SPEAKER_04]: Like you don't have nobody else and and when I turn when I talk about like in terms of like development and staples for a team, you know, we don't have that I don't think we have that Chris Jones, we don't have either Marcus Peters and I think about it from a secondary standpoint for for Baltimore and Kansas City, I you just need you need somebody's guys man and and like that is a.
- 1:18:59[SPEAKER_04]: and direct dig at the wrong paying who's been here for a long time.
- 1:19:03[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, Jonathan Adam moved on last year.
- 1:19:06[SPEAKER_04]: Those were the two guys that's been here long enough.
- 1:19:09[SPEAKER_04]: You need some people who can really light.
- 1:19:14[SPEAKER_04]: step it up just for lack of better freeze and in Washington is lacking that so that's the only thing like you already named the players and I think that are good that are good here, Jerry, but I think what they're lacking is like those staples of people who can really like dominate and really like submit themselves as a Washington commander.
- 1:19:35[SPEAKER_04]: They don't have it.
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_06]: Um, so for us, yeah, they got terrible going, but he's about to be on the door.
- 1:19:44[SPEAKER_04]: So for us, um, everybody's second appreciation, um, I don't know why so hot up here.
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_04]: And my goddamn room, I'll see myself when I carry my fucking sweating my ass off.
- 1:19:56[SPEAKER_04]: It is.
- 1:19:56[SPEAKER_06]: It's somebody told you in the comments.
- 1:19:59[SPEAKER_04]: We don't need to burn.
- 1:20:00[SPEAKER_04]: That's the first thing I did.
- 1:20:01[SPEAKER_04]: I saw the odds like, yo, it is some and I felt it.
- 1:20:03[SPEAKER_04]: I was like, bro, my heart is shit.
- 1:20:05[SPEAKER_04]: Um, but it's 70 degrees in my house.
- 1:20:07[SPEAKER_04]: So it's not that bad.
- 1:20:09[SPEAKER_04]: Um, for people that's new to the show, uh, like I said, we don't have our names up here.
- 1:20:14[SPEAKER_04]: So, uh, I'm all, you can find me on Twitter at let mall tell it, uh, M U A L, uh, the other jury hit is AJ.

- 1:20:33[SPEAKER_04]: Jerry, um, he has the blank screen right now.
- 1:20:36[SPEAKER_04]: You can find him on social media, uh, DC sports.
- 1:20:39[SPEAKER_04]: Jerry, um, we don't really do that no more.
- 1:20:41[SPEAKER_04]: So, uh, there you go, uh, for those this brand new, and I mentioned before, I got track, uh, side track next week.
- 1:20:50[SPEAKER_04]: We have a good guess coming on.
- 1:20:53[SPEAKER_04]: I want you to think about, uh, uh,
- 1:20:58[SPEAKER_04]: What would you ask, what would you ask in offensive side, offensive minded personnel member or coach, like as it relates to Washington command, what is some of your bigger questions, we're going to get y'all involved in the conversation.
- 1:21:17[SPEAKER_04]: I'm looking forward to that.
- 1:21:19[SPEAKER_04]: Jara said I thought he thought more was in the son of God damn it had to be that bad man I can't I can't wait to just show over with it.

- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_04]: I know to be oh moves at this point, but
