- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: Should have happened sooner.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited about this one.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, kind of give me a long overdue.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: Have any beer, bro?
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, hey, hey.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: Real quick, George, I love our intro.

- 2:01[SPEAKER_06]: I'm in full battery right now.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I'm saying to make me love him again more like now.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_06]: All in, you know what I'm saying?
- 2:08[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Jerry, you got to be careful because, you know, I've been around.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_03]: I've been around long enough to know how you, it's, it's, it's really easy for you, bro.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_06]: It's a little different this time.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_06]: They make it, they make it so many moves like last couple years.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_06]: It's been like, all right.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I know we're going to be in this low rebuild and state this rebuild of most.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_06]: So I wasn't going to be invested in every game, but I'm paying attention to the moves.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_06]: But now I'm loving what they know.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_06]: And they're actually kind of moving like the command has been moving these last couple years.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_06]: So fully invested now.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_06]: Even if they're going to lose, they should, but I mean, I'm in best.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, you know, I'm a just, I'm going to let you have your, you know,
- 2:47[SPEAKER_03]: I'm here with you when they when they do a good, but I you know that I'm my primary my primary model is the team that we talk about.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I already know how you do.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_03]: All right, fellas, man, like you said, the big deal.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's been a long time coming.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_03]: I know we've always like behind the scenes, tried to discuss some things together.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_03]: So it's really good to kind of chop things up as we get into a, honestly, uh, first off, a really good team.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and after an impressive, twenty twenty four season.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_03]: But also going to the second year where, you know, we're not talking about a quarterback situation anymore is it's all about other things and other story lines moving forward.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: Because this thing does have question marks, but there's also things to be excited about right.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_03]: And then I think about the the biggest.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: concerned on the table to date, right?
- 3:39[SPEAKER_03]: It is, let's kind of kick things off with the Terry situation.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: He's among several people, honestly, that, you know, is in a quote on quote contract here.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_03]: You think about Marsha on Latamore's contract situation, you think about Dibo, San Jose contract situation, their sub,
- 3:59[SPEAKER_03]: a couple of other Jeremy Tonsu and other people that are kind of, by and for the same type of respect from the commanders or any team that's willing to pay them.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_03]: Jerry, your time has come.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you say it's like about a month or I think you said you gave about a month to kind of figure things out or that you think he'd be signed, me and AJ took the over.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a toss of floors, so you all.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_03]: What do you all feel like as of July, seven, twenty, twenty, five, were you at with Terry and their ability to get this done?
- 4:40[SPEAKER_03]: And then we can kind of transition into like the contract situation with him and others on the roster.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I mean, I'll start off.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_07]: You see a lot of people within the fan base, other media outlets and stuff with that nature from a local standpoint saying that they're not necessarily concerned of a lot of fans.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, they're they're clamoring for it to get done and see that breaking news on the bottom of the ticker.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_07]: And they're not really concerned, but they wanted to get done.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_07]: I think that there should be legitimate concern.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_07]: I think that
- 5:17[SPEAKER_07]: people are not realizing that they've been having this discussion since the season ended like this isn't a discussion that just took place a month ago or before I mean during the draft like this has been a ongoing thing since the offseason started for Washington like they've been trying to
- 5:40[SPEAKER_07]: sit down at the table and get to a fair number for both sides.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_07]: But at the end of the day, during early stages of the offseason, some lava seabers got new deals, whether it be the Jamar Chases of the World of the Tea Higgins, the DK Metcabs getting moved from Seattle to Pittsburgh and other guys, Chris Godwin.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_07]: Like, it's been a lot of movement, money wise in the NFL when it comes to lava seabers.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_07]: So when you look at that landscape,
- 6:09[SPEAKER_07]: You have to ask yourself, I mean, I don't have any insight to Terry's in, but you have to wonder if they're just far apart on numbers overall.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_07]: Not even guaranteed is just, is Terry looking for a DK Mech have do.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_07]: Over the weekend, I sat down and looked at DK Mech have career stats in comparison to Terry.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_07]: They're comparable as far as like catches.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_07]: yard is, but when it comes to touchdowns, this DK has ten more touchdowns than him.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_07]: Then you also add in the fact DK's twenty seven years old, whereas Terry is approaching thirty years old in like two more months in September to kick off the season.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_07]: So it's like the Pittsburgh sealers also had to do that because they traded assets to go to an acquired DK Metcalf.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_07]: So
- 7:00[SPEAKER_07]: Now you're wondering, where is this deal truly going to fall in the play?
- 7:03[SPEAKER_07]: And I think that people should be concerned if that's, you know, something that they're really looking forward to.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_07]: I still predict that the deal doesn't get done.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_07]: I think that they might guarantee Terry this year on the contract, same thing they did with Debo in the trade that happened with San Francisco, because he didn't have any guarantee money.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_07]: I think they guarantee him.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_07]: And they let it play out.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_07]: I think Watson isn't a peculiar situation from a roster construction standpoint.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_07]: They need to get younger at wild receiver.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_07]: So even next year, they're probably focused probably in the first round is going to be wild receiver and then defensive end.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_07]: Right now, they don't have any one on the roster that has stepped up as far as like a young player like a Luke McAfrey to say, Hey, we can bank or we can continue to develop this guy to be a possible number two or number one.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_07]: We really have to bank on veterans.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_07]: So the offseason next year is going to be heavily dedicated to the free agency market or draft for that position.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_07]: And I just don't think that they look at Terry the same way that
- 8:11[SPEAKER_07]: the local area looks at Terry.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_07]: I think he's a, he's a solid player, but he is not worth thirty four million a year.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_07]: And that's, that's just my opinion.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, real quick, if you didn't judge us, take a notes.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: So be careful, Rosie.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll go back and be ready.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: I just wanted my thoughts.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I seen him on his Brian Gumball.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I can't work thirty four.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: Why wouldn't Terry want thirty four?
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: Why would his agent look at the wide receiver room and say, you're trying to win football games.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even have a pay him.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: They've got to pay him.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: Debo comes up next.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: So this idea, they can play this game.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's dangerous.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: It reminds me of what the Bengals have tried to do.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's what they're going to do here.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: I am curious, maybe nobody knows, but when did they sign?
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: I look.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: That to me, like, you talk about when two are gonna do a last time.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter that.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: There's not these people.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I'd be curious, you know, when I you've got to do, I think it was kind of late.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what I'd be concerned about if we're getting close to that date and nothings happens.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: But listen, I've always said, I think three years, ninety million with six to guarantee either, ninety, eight million, whatever gets them close to thirty four.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: My thing is the guarantees.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: Right, the guarantees are where they are far apart.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm sure he wants three years where you're about to get back to the market, but I don't know how you can tell everybody that you're being serious and not sanitary.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: I could jump in.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think like I like what AJ said, I think the off season affected the market, right?
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: We're seeing all these different water.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: She was your bar chase reset the market with the water severs.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_02]: We saw on D.K.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: Mekhaf get a deal.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: We saw Mike Evans get a deal.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the parameters for where Terry McClellan's going to fall is going to be D.K.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: Mekhaf or Mike Evans, right?
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: Mike Evans has a more proven track record.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's one, eight, ten years straight, one thousand yard seasons.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: He's produced more than a pretty inexpensive contract.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to fall there.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: You brought up a good point, Doug.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think Adam Peters with the forty nine years.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: They tend to drag out these contracts.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_02]: We see it with, I'm running IU.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_02]: We saw it with Dbo Samuel.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_02]: We saw it with both.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: So they take a long time drag and things out.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's taken that mentality.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: and bringing that over at Washington DC.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not worried about Terry.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to get a reason.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's either going to get resigned or at worst.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to get a franchise tag next year.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_02]: There's no consequences to how it franchise tag.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think the team and the fan base wants him here.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: I don't seem going anywhere.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_02]: In regard to that, I think with contracts, I think they have a perimeter where they want to sign him.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_02]: But I think he's a thirty million dollar water seaver.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: But I think they're just nailing up a new one.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: So the guarantees that the money during the third year
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: Um, how's that one is going to break down over three.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's kind of where they're at right now.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: And then finally, I know you were talking about DK the past couple days.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, do you think DK's a better water see where the terrible chlorine?
- 11:16[SPEAKER_07]: Do I think I think I'll be I'll be honest there.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_07]: They're both guys with some limitations in their game, right?
- 11:28[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_07]: I think if if I really had to break it down,
- 11:34[SPEAKER_07]: If I had to go with the trade to be DK, I mean, it both aren't great rock runners, but at the end of the day, I can't teach DK size in the speed, you know?
- 11:45[SPEAKER_07]: And we also have to factor in age, like, I don't think that DK isn't a lead wire receiver, but if I had to pick between the two right now in July of, of, in, twenty five, I would rock with DK.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, and that's not to, you know,
- 12:04[SPEAKER_07]: who who on Terry, I just think that DK has better traits to him.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_07]: If we were breaking it down a different guy, that was like a route runner, like specialists.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_07]: I would still take that guy over them, but they're so, they're like so innocent.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_07]: Like they're, it's just like, is DK's like six, four, six, five, and Terry's like six feet.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_07]: And they've already just kind of do the same thing.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_07]: Just look there.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't know what he's six post six five, but I don't I don't think if you I don't think there's
- 12:44[SPEAKER_03]: If I had to sit down and actually do this instead of like a live show, I can't, I don't know if I can name five better receivers that's like as tough in the one on one situation, didn't hear it.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_03]: And DK ain't gonna be in there.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_03]: He ain't gonna be in there.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_03]: He ain't gonna be in there.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_03]: He ain't gonna be in there.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're gonna be in there.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_03]: So I ain't gonna be a head of Terry.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_03]: So like, I don't, and I say that because I don't see anything that, that DK does significantly better.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_03]: Like they both, they both are decent at yet.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_03]: The only difference between Terry and DK after the catch is that DK is more physical because he's strong as you.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_03]: But they both get yet.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_03]: Like I just, I don't know.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_03]: Like what the only thing that separates them would be at the cast point.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: Like DK ain't super strong at the cast point.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_03]: And he's in it.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_03]: And if I think he's like, oh, so pity, he shouldn't be.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he comes off as a winch and pony to me.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: For real, I'll feel like DK Mekhaff is avert water seaver.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_02]: He's physical water seaver, but Terry's more of a diverse route runner.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of, yeah, I kind of broke his down a little bit.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_02]: So Terry McClure in average, four point five yards after the catch.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_02]: DK Mekhaff, four point one.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_02]: Drops, Terry has twenty-four drops on his career, DKMX have thirty-seven.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_02]: Drop percentage three point three for Terry McClure and five point one for DKM.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: Interceptions thrown when the quarterback throws the ball towards a water seaver, BFT and Terry's seventeen to DKMX have.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: more receptions for Terry, more yard for Terry, the only thing this touchdowns for DK back out.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_02]: But for me, I think Terry's a more well-rounded receiver.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_07]: What DK has for you eight touchdowns?
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, forty to thirty eight.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: But then it was in two wrongs.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: It was a pretty out-of-two.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: So he was like, what was that?
- 14:18[SPEAKER_07]: He was ready.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_07]: What are you like?
- 14:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, look for it.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_02]: I got you.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_07]: I got you.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_07]: But I also wanted to remember that DK was also playing alongside a
- 14:30[SPEAKER_07]: uh, a Tyler Lockett.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_07]: So, so it was like, it's not like he was being forced fed the ball either.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_07]: Like it was him making plays where Terry has been the best.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_07]: Why receiver his entire tenure with Washington.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_07]: They haven't had any.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_06]: And didn't have a Russell Wilson quarter.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_03]: It's like he's that before.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_03]: All right, he don't you don't you don't get that many restrictions.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_03]: I don't I don't understand his wife's memo.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, so so I guess before Drake goes, are we sitting here saying that the same contract that DK McCab receives is the same contract.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_07]: If you were Adam Peters, you'd be willing to give him today to sign like Terry McLuhan to sign.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be quick on mine.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_03]: But I'll just say I think it's important to know what part of this conversation was asking if DK was if you thought DK was better than Terry and I disagree with that.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_03]: The question from a financial standpoint.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's come around like, how much are you willing to pay?
- 15:37[SPEAKER_03]: Like, what is the cap?
- 15:38[SPEAKER_03]: Like, from an AV standpoint, what is the cap?
- 15:41[SPEAKER_03]: And truthfully, I don't know what they're thinking, which is honestly none of my business.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm not even stressed out about it in real life.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_03]: I did not care.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's not my business.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_03]: But if there was a number that they got, if there was a deal, and I said, oh, they did too much, I would say, thirty four plus would be that.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_03]: But again,
- 16:04[SPEAKER_03]: I'm in the right now.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_03]: I don't get it.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_03]: Get the deal done and we can worry about the rest later.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: Can I throw something out there?
- 16:10[SPEAKER_02]: What is too much?
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: Why isn't even mad?
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: Saracap's blowing up every single year.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: Netflix deals going on.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: Amazon going on.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like everything.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the Saracap can be bended at any given point, right?
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't really matter.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: Three, three, there's a person thirty five in Europe and anybody on here.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_03]: Ashley, into your point.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_03]: He got paid a three he got a three year deal a couple years ago and how how bad did it hurt Washington.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_03]: I mean like today.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_03]: I don't I don't think that it may be a fault argument, but I'm just saying like still three years later.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_03]: My sorry deals just don't hurt don't hurt your team.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, but I mean now was bumped up to I think at the time when Terry sign is extension the YVC remark was around like the twenty three twenty four twenty five range.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_07]: Now, you're talking about thirty-four, like, yeah, the salary cap is going up, but do you expect him to project to do better than what he did last season as far as touchdowns receiving yards?
- 17:06[SPEAKER_07]: Like, that's the key element here.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_07]: Also, when you add in a Debo Samuel, who also needs to do?
- 17:12[SPEAKER_07]: So, if Debo does what you project him to do in the trade that you made,
- 17:17[SPEAKER_07]: It's it's like you're in a you're in a peculiar situation with the other guys that we mentioned the Marcia on Latamores the Lermy tonsils needed new deals Frankie Louvou goes into his last year to deal next year Tyler Beatis Doris Armstrong like you have because because the roster was so after
- 17:37[SPEAKER_07]: you got a lot of guys coming up on their last year of their contract.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_07]: So that's, that's, I think that's what is going on.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_07]: I also really don't know what happens.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_07]: I put some tweets out there.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_07]: I would, I would trade Terry for TJ, why, if that was feasible.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_07]: Like, I would just move on.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_07]: But, you know, I know that San Francisco also wanted Terry McClure and then that deal for Brendan and I, you can, they said no, so.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it was just three months ago.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: that Adam Peters was on with Kay Adams talking about.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: Terry McClure is going to be here for a long time.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: And what you never hear is GM's going to go to anybody's barbecue.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: I said talking about a player and how long they may or not be on the team.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: There was literally no reason to say that.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll take them for his word of it.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_03]: Jerry, you got the last thoughts on this.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_03]: Let's get to some of the other contracts out there.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_06]: Honestly, I don't have anything else to have on Terry.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not bad.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_06]: Nothing new to this conversation.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_06]: I say no more.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I'm good.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_07]: Now you're scared because you're dead line that you said.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_07]: No, I'm working the contract world agent.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_07]: We get stitches in the contract.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_03]: Here we go.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_03]: I saw a look.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_03]: How are we feeling?
- 18:53[SPEAKER_03]: Like we mentioned on Suladamor.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_03]: Pain, dbo, b-rock.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_03]: I think.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_03]: I get out of the floor.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_03]: What do y'all think about like that that of those groups like or of those names like which of those people in that group is is like the priorities versus somebody we can like pass all four year or two.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's got to be tons of it.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, just the assets given up to a choir room says it's.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: So the, yeah, it's going into this conversation.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's there.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: My tonsils are free agent next year.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: We have Demos Samuel, Martian, Latamore, Doran, Payne, Brian Robinson.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think if you rank them, Brian Robinson probably the lowest on the poll on how you guys feel about being robbed.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: I know when I talk about him later on this show.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a pretty solid running back.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: He's a replaceable running back.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: He can definitely go different direction with it.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of more is the key, man.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of more is actually legit.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think he can elevate our team to a championship level.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: It can be very competitive, but I just don't know where he is.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: We play with two games in a regular season.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: I got cooked in the playoffs.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know where he's at there.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: He had some faceness to him, but he seemed to be interesting to be taken over by AJ Brown.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know about all that.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think Learmy tells you you have to lock him up.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: If you're going to trade all those assets a second or fourth round, pay for Learmy tonsl, you got to lock him up.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's a waste of money if you don't do that.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: And then the question that Doug keeps on coming up and I agree, is what are you going to do with Debon?
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: They don't kind of hit an artist too.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: Are you going to sign two big lot of seems?
- 20:20[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to sign McClure and Debon to large deals going to the next year?
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: Is that financial response that they're going to do that out?
- 20:28[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I mean, I think, some sort of definitely he has two years, but the following year is no guarantee.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_07]: I think sounds would just say extension before regular season before week one.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, I think when you trade those type of assets for premier left tackle.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, we're talking about ranking the best players on Washington's organization.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_07]: His jade and Daniels and it's learned me tonsil his father's reputation across the lead.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_07]: So when you make a trade of that nature, you you have to extend him.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_07]: I know we had a conversation with a be reporter for ESPN or the Texans and he was like, you know, learn me's not necessarily focused on the money right now.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_07]: but at the M.A.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_07]: Day, money talks bullshit walks.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_07]: And if you're a premier left tag one, you exceed once again.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_07]: When you trade for a player, you're projecting them to exceed within your culture and your system and the production on the field and everything at that nature.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_07]: So if you think so, if you think and learn me tonsils, is that due, you might as well lock them up now before he has this amazing season.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_07]: What if you do win the Super Bowl?
- 21:39[SPEAKER_07]: Then like it's just like you have to just think of that.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_07]: So I think that Lermie is definitely first.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_07]: Like you said, George B. Rob is not even on my paper.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_07]: If I was taking notes.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_07]: wouldn't even be on my paper.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you know, an anonymous GM came out.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_03]: That's all right.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: Ranked up.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_03]: Ranked up.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: Ranked up.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: Ranked up.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: Ranked up.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: Ranked up.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: Ranked up.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_07]: Ranked up.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_07]: not reset in the market, but at least being able to get up to like the twenty-three, twenty-four number per year.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_07]: But it's a lot of this, this is for Adam Peters, and I think that this is one of the main courses of the job that we haven't seen from him in his time with Washington yet.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_07]: We've seen him have to draft and do the free agency thing.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_07]: But when you also do those things and you make these type of trades,
- 22:48[SPEAKER_07]: This is the big portion of the job that comes with it.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_07]: We've been to handle those contact negotiations and you know, for Adam he has a great rapport with a lot of the agents in the NFL space or whatever, but it's like, hey, you got some tough decisions to make here, you know, with
- 23:06[SPEAKER_07]: perennial, left tackle, a perennial corner back, perennial, white receivers, because, you know, Debode doesn't have the extension, and Terry doesn't have the extension as of right now.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_07]: What are you going to do?
- 23:18[SPEAKER_07]: And I think this is where we truly get to judge Adam Peters decision making.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_07]: And I think we also got to be mindful of what we hear him saying these interviews.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_07]: If Tom Brady can be gone from a patriot's man, it's not safe for anybody.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: Wall and trade.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: How do you all feel about more shots?
- 23:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I had that like pulse.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: We got we got to have you about the trade.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: We think he played pretty well last year.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: Do you disappointed in what's going on?
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, he was.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he was.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's right.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_03]: You got to go ahead.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_06]: Now I mean, for Martian, I was excited about the trade because obviously we've seen what he's accomplished in New Orleans.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_06]: But then last year it was, okay, he's dealing with the injury and hamstring as something that we kind of seen him deal with in the past with New Orleans.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_06]: He comes here as a thing then when he plays, it's like, okay, we're not getting the player that we thought we were getting.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_06]: Which is fine, okay, because I can buy the whole injury thing.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_06]: But then I was a little honestly, I mean, I was a little awkward by the, not showing up to many, you know, OTAs whenever.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_06]: And normally that's not a big deal to me.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_06]: I really don't care, but just because of what I saw from him last year, it just made me feel like, all right, are we getting a done?
- 24:32[SPEAKER_06]: Like, didn't all of us sell us a limit?
- 24:34[SPEAKER_06]: You know, so it was those concerns, but then him showing us the many can't.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_06]: he was in shape obviously and you know everyone said he looked good so maybe we are getting the player we thought we were getting and I do hope so I'm not one of those players that's going to go out there and root against the guy for whatever reason like I need the guy to be good but because I mean he's good this secondary is you know the secondary we need this deepest debate to be improved deepest that we need
- 24:58[SPEAKER_06]: because we're going to be going against AJ Brown again.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_06]: And you know, I'm a late neighbors.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_06]: We're going to see C.D.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_06]: Lam, you know, the biggest stuff.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, you go out and get a lot of more to kind of compete against these guys.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_06]: But again, hopefully all the reports are good, you know, that he came out in many cases, ready to go.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_06]: He's in shape.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_06]: And hopefully that carries over to the season.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_06]: And hopefully we can kind of get rid of this soft tissue hamstring bug that he's kind of dealt with.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_06]: and was played with throughout his career.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_06]: But overall, it's a waiting seat thing.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I know we were just talking about the contracts and who's the priority.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_06]: Now, obviously, the assumption would be tunneling and a regard.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_06]: But I do think that this season is going to be a kind of waiting seal for a lot of these guys.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean, with Dibo,
- 25:41[SPEAKER_06]: a lot of more tons of, you know, all of these guys are kind of, you know, on a waiting seat thing, but I do think we assume that tons will be the guy that, you know, rides us to the top of the priority in this because he plays the most important position of those guys.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_06]: And we also give up a lot of assets for those guys.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_06]: But overall, I'm looking forward to Marsha on this year.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I made just to see him go out there and return to former former former.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_03]: For me, I'll be quick, my, I wasn't favorite of the trade.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_03]: I like the deal.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_03]: uh, party play like some shit last year.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: Like every there was no, it fans have butts about it.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I think the way AJ got into his head and and on the way to Angela got to his head and the way Mike Evans got to his head like those two like was like real, like oh, like can we lock it bro?
- 26:35[SPEAKER_03]: Can we can we understand what's at stake here?
- 26:37[SPEAKER_03]: Like that's what I'm thinking and I can't even I really can't even communicate because I'm literally just talking to a TV.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_03]: But that's kind of where I met last season.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_03]: And then like what Jay said is I'm cool like understanding that the people who was there reported on us said that you know he I mean I heard is it's pressure too his post-practice pressure is like he he feels better.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_03]: He's moved a little bit better More explosive he can feel like they're explosive explosion coming back from a lower body standpoint You know we'll see where goes I don't know how much better that's gonna make him on the field, but like if he's feeling more like himself again
- 27:15[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, we can clean the slate with like last year, age and injury to why I ain't cut him, I can no slack at all.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_03]: I think that makes that be it.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: Let's kind of hate things, but what's that work for you guys, we've been talking on our show a little bit.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm curious your thoughts when they're working through McCorn and we're talking about contracts that kind of come up with Debo.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: Are they, are they worried that they're hustling against themselves on the Debo contract as well?
- 27:46[SPEAKER_07]: Definitely because the way that Cliff ran the office last year is really predicated to, it's predicated to Debo saying skills that the most overtarian McClorn
- 28:02[SPEAKER_07]: like, it's like, Debo can possibly have one of his best years career was from a receiving standpoint alone just because of the quarterback play and he's also now going to a team where he's like, you can almost say the second or third target.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_07]: versus being in San Francisco where you got CMC, Kettle, IU, Jennings.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_07]: You got, you got himself like, it is just so much and they're so run heavy over there that these crossers, I mean, we've seen Dami Brown hit what, five hundred yards.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_07]: Lots of the first time in his career.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, he had three hundred, okay.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_07]: But we've seen, we've seen Zach Irts get almost seven hundred receiving yards and
- 28:51[SPEAKER_07]: over what, eighty targets.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_07]: So that means the middle of the field is wide open.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_07]: So kids did his thing.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_07]: So I think that's what they got to be a little bit nervous about is like, hey, we could be negotiating against ourselves because what if this dude ended up doing what we projected to doing this office?
- 29:10[SPEAKER_07]: We've heard all offseason the coaches have raved about debo.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_07]: Like, oh, he's faster than what we thought.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_07]: like the things that he's going to do even national wise like other players in media outlets are like damn depot in that office is going to be killer so I guess you you have to worry about that because he needs a new dude you know you already guaranteed him with nineteen or twenty one million I'm just talking off the top of my head I don't have the numbers in front of me but if you guaranteed him that coming into this trade
- 29:42[SPEAKER_07]: It got to get boosted and him and Terry from the same drive class around the same age.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_07]: So, yeah, it's kind of scary when you, when you got to break it down that way.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_07]: But it's feasible to pay to our receivers.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, we see Philadelphia doing it.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_07]: We see Miami doing it.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_07]: We see Cincinnati doing it.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_07]: It's just more so these guys are a bit older than the group of the, the wide receivers I just named.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_06]: But my thing is, and I know we we're talking about the contract situation or not, but I noticed that a lot of people when they talk about Debo and rightfully so you talk about the offense and how it fits in perfectly.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_06]: But I mean, we set up a talk about this at Nazion.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_06]: Don't you think opposing defenses are going to kind of be noticed in this or knowing this.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_06]: This is what Debo does.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_06]: This is what clip does.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_06]: And I say that the mean that this could be something open and full.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_06]: Like a Terry to have even in the bigger year with the focus on a depot, you know, from defense is because you got to think they're going to probably play up when they see deep on the field.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_06]: Like when you see a Diami on the field, you know, no, if he's going to run a straight go right off, he's just going to run a screen pass.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_06]: You know, whereas a deep one, you're probably going to assume it's going to be something short, more than it's going to be something across the middle of the field.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_06]: And I say, that to me, the deep one can even eat more on those deeper, more intermediate routes than just the short stuff.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, I mean, I know AJ, you kind of expected him to have this like huge year.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, he couldn't.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_06]: I hope he does, but I do think that this could lend way to other guys on the field, because deep one can not only, you know, be it correct and be it in deep one is, but deep one could also be used as a decoy a lot.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_06]: It's happening to other guys.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I can tell you with that.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's the move like he's the one that shifts the defensive eyes.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I actually like that's kind of that's a really good point during that.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't about to bring up.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, damn, like I actually we did that on the film session with Debo, like, just literally all defenses do is like wherever Debo is like they had just in a play shallow, like they're expecting everything on that first and second level from Debo.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and I don't know what this means like from a statistical standpoint, I don't disagree with AJ that, you know, Cliff Krillett loves, uh, a debo and he loves the idea of having something like that on his team and to have debo himself on, uh, on Cliff Kane's very often.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, you know, obviously that's something that he's he's been playing game planning.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_03]: We're trying to game plan for a long time.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: So like make no mistake.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_03]: He ain't about to get shut down, but it's more so like this is open up, uh, you know opportunities for Terry and to answer your question directly.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_03]: I think
- 32:13[SPEAKER_03]: Um, they're kind of going at each other in a sense, Terry and Debo, but I think from a front office standpoint, it's important for them, like, and we talked about it, it's important for them not to get lost in and net like that's a, that's a great hearing if I use that right like that's a distraction.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_03]: You got to know how important Terry is to your team.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_03]: to your organization, despite what Debo brings, like, that's something that's in addition, but it's not like one or the other.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_03]: It can become that, like, if that's how you play it, but I think that if there's smart enough, like, there's a way to work both these guys into future contracts with Washington.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_02]: I know you're going to pivot.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: Let me say one quick thing.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think that what Adam Peters has done is make that roster very flexible.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like there always put us on one-year deals and remaining one-year deals of tonsill and a lot of more in pain or all that.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think depending on who performs is going to get paid, right?
- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of more might be gone next year.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: Pay might be gone next year and with that extra money that you did on CMO if it's about a burning.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a potential there.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's, and that's honestly, that was one thing I was going to touch on, but like we can actually say that conversation, because that's actually a large conversation that the one-year deals and roster construction, we can say that for another time, especially
- 33:32[SPEAKER_03]: We get another collab so going.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_03]: But from BRI, we briefly touched on Brian Robinson.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_03]: And his contract situation, but like from a run-of-back standpoint, I mean, it's B-Rop, awesome.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_03]: You're top two, that you, that you, that you run in the back with.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_03]: You still have Jeremy McNickos, but you bring in Bill Merrill, Bill Crossby Merrill, and Chris Rodriguez.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, bring back Chris Rodriguez, excuse me.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_03]: Like where does B Rob sit for the group?
- 34:09[SPEAKER_03]: Mine is AJ, I guess, because he kind of gave his head.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_03]: But Doug and George, I want you to go here.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_03]: I got the floor first.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_03]: Like where does B Rob sit in your mind?
- 34:23[SPEAKER_03]: And is there any people behind him from a depth standpoint that can push for his time?
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: Go ahead, that you got it.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: George knows I'd speak about this too much on our show.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think Bob from the seventh round leaves the team and touches somewhere in the middle of the season.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think they've had anybody quite that explosive in a long time.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_01]: To me, quite frankly, if we're using a B-Rob type style, I like Chris Rodriguez, but it anyways.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not as high on B-Rob this song.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's maybe average.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm telling that seventh rounder if he played last year was probably more like a third or fourth rounder.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I think they got plans for him.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_01]: They got to be, you know what they got to do?
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: They got to be explosive this year.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, think about how many explosive plays they had last year, not many, particularly for the ringbacks, but they need that.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: And actually it's not getting any younger.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I think as far as touches, they're going to find the way to carve him out of role.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: All right, I'll jump in there.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I'm the outlier.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I should be mad at me, but I think beer I was fine.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think they can improve and upgrade him.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think they will in next year.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: But he last year at seven hundred nine and nine yards.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: Let's career high.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think he missed three or four games.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_03]: If you wanted to wait to a thousand, I stay a bit out in this show on his own.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: He's always waiting a thousand.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_02]: There's been
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: I looked at it earlier for three years.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_02]: He's had over a eleven hundred yards combined with receiving and rushing over the past three years.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_02]: Who's a decent running back?
- 35:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he's a game changing running back.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a better running back when we thought we were getting out of Alabama.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_02]: If you guys remember, you know, you know, you are just a contact.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_02]: He was very limited no closiveness, but he scores touchdowns here in DC.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think with our hurts, with Samuel, with McClellan, all these different types of weapons, you just see the running back that can keep in positive game script.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're able fall forward for four yards and first down and make the yards short and make, you know, let's allow you, you know, to go forward and forth down and just keep the chains moving.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he's a fantastic.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he's a lead by any means, but I think it's a solid running back.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to get the first dibs.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think people are saying that, you know, cross team mates, but take his position after trying to get on to that at all.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think he drops going to roll out week one as a starter.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but I think as a year goes on, it's going to be kind of a play the hot hand thing, right?
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like if Croskey Marin has a couple of posts of shots, you're going to be hitting the ball more.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_02]: Um, declarative things a good player, but at the moment, we all forget one concussion might be up for the season.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you don't mess with that mental health.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: You've been to hit a couple of times.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see what happens there.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_02]: But like I'm not out like.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I said it to say, you know, I was fine.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: He's a fine running back, but I'll keep my eyes open.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_02]: There's a running back that pops open during training camp.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: When I tell you that,
- 37:01[SPEAKER_02]: Then I'll consider it, but that's where I'm at.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: What are you guys?
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's on your fur to somebody is fine.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's fine.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_06]: But no, I think it would be Rob, this is a season where he's coming into me.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_06]: I do think he's going to get first dips, you know, as George said, I think he'll be, it'll be his job to lose in a sense.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_06]: But this is probably the year that he's going to get pushed to most.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, when he came into the league, he had Antonio Giffson here, and he was the one kind of pushing Antonio Giffson, then Antonio Giffson leaves his Brian Robinson's job, pretty much no competition, you know, they gave him the rings.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_06]: But now you're at the point where you're saying, this guy hasn't solidified himself as a boniface.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_06]: already run it back in his lead.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_06]: So I'll leave some incident this year.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_06]: In my opinion, this is the biggest season of his career because this is the season that he has to fight for his future.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_06]: And what does that future going to be?
- 37:51[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I don't think his he's not going to be out of the NFL by the means.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_06]: But I think we're talking about, what is his role going to be going forward?
- 37:58[SPEAKER_06]: Is he going to be a starter running back in his lead?
- 38:00[SPEAKER_06]: Is he going to be viewed as a starter in his lead?
- 38:04[SPEAKER_06]: Or will you just start with you him as the Peyton Barber type of running back when you're talking about the running back by committee type media?
- 38:10[SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, this is a big season for him because I do think that he has to hold onto the job.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_06]: While it might be his job balloons, I think they finally got somebody down in here with a bill, even though you don't put that kind of expectation on a several-prout pick.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_06]: But I do think you had that type of guy that can actually push a V rob.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_06]: You didn't have that last year because you knew what that was role was coming into last year.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_06]: And then you had Rob Regas, who they just didn't appear to care much for early in the season.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_06]: He was on a practice squad here and there.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_06]: McNichols, we noticed a backup.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_06]: But now it's a different situation.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_06]: You ever run in fact kind of on Brian Robinson's heels.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_06]: So, how does he respond?
- 38:45[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I'm wondering, does he respond?
- 38:46[SPEAKER_06]: Like, at the wrong pain in the contract here, you know, and if that's the case, then you're talking about, hey, maybe we did find something in B-Rop, even though there will be a little bit of doubt there that does he only perform when his back is up against the wall, or can we get this kind of consistency out of him going forward?
- 39:02[SPEAKER_06]: So, it's a big thing with B-Rop.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, right now, I like him a bit again, you know, he has to show
- 39:08[SPEAKER_06]: that he can be consistent enough to keep this job.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_06]: And not only just for this year, but can he be that guy going forward as well?
- 39:16[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I mean, I think with Jayden Daniels being such a dual threat and also leading the same in rushing.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_07]: If you look around the league, these guys that are dual thresholds Josh Allen to Lamar Jackson is a gentleman.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_07]: They typically, as a group, Russian wise, are topping the league.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_07]: And I think that a lot of the yarders at B-Romb hat did, you know, end up accomplishing last year was due to the threat of Jaden Daniels.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_07]: I think he left a lot of yards out on the field because of the poor vision and the refusal to run north and south.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you most of that too much as as a big name is not that agile.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_07]: I think that there is an opportunity for someone to step up.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_07]: I can't sit here at act like I know a bunch of ball jacquiri cross get married.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_07]: I hate the fact that.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_07]: Bill is even this nickname.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_07]: I don't even understand that shit.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_07]: So I refuse to say Bill.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_07]: But I mean, I think when you see the limited like footage of him from what I've seen, you do see explosiveness there.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_07]: You do see someone that could possibly answer.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_07]: You know, sorry.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, he could possibly break a forty yard run to sixty yard run.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_07]: You don't have that currently in your backfill from any of those guys.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_07]: whether it be a McNichols, a C-Rod, or Accler, unless it's just like someone, it's just like a blown play all together.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_07]: That's the only way that that's gonna get accomplished.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, B-Rob had his first, he had his longest run of his career this year, which was one of those same blown plays.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think it was against the Giants and all Titans.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_07]: But it's like, if that title played doesn't happen, he's not gonna break when he's not gonna get
- 41:04[SPEAKER_07]: long yardage or whatever.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_07]: So I think that the running back position is something to pay attention to in these preseason games.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_07]: I think if a jacquiri can't go ahead and make a make a name for himself during the preseason because he's going to be able to get a lot of those carries.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, it's going to be down to him.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_07]: uh... me knickles is while he still wants to get a opportunity to show what he can do in between the tackles and outside and we all know like washman had a situation like this in the past where offer more is came in as a late-round pick and was able to take away that job i think it just boils down to you know who's going to truly be comfortable and who's actually going to make plays on the field uh... i think be robbed
- 41:53[SPEAKER_07]: probably gets to not, but that just may be by committee.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_07]: I think it'll be who as the hottest hand during the game, because I could see the frustration that the coach of staff was having would be robbed towards the end of last year.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_07]: Like, before the playoffs, like, they were really like, hey, man, what you doing?
- 42:13[SPEAKER_07]: Like, just just keep running north and south.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_07]: So we'll see, but I don't expect B Rob to have this breakout season.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_07]: I think it's the physical season.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_07]: His game still exists.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_07]: They're not going to change.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_07]: Good luck to him on his next journey.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think it'd be here in Washington, but yeah.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_07]: I got a song and I think I'll be wrong and I think my boy Doug is with me a little bit, but maybe not as aggressive with it, but he's he's just a run-and-back like he's just there like he's just a jag like that's how I truly look at him like he does nothing good in my opinion like he doesn't even run block good at his big ass eyes doesn't even pass for I mean pass for tech good like it's just
- 42:57[SPEAKER_07]: It's just a position that I really had hope that they were going to be able to upgrade sooner in the draft, not necessarily like seven rounds.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: This was a year to do it to get it running back in the early in the draft, but how's it happened with a lot of more trade we give we our picks.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_02]: So that happens.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't know, man.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think there's I think, who is this that said this?
- 43:20[SPEAKER_03]: Mr. Makeaway said it that I agree with we like, be raw, but we don't love them.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody's not in the weed.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_03]: like part, I get that I'm cool with it.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a part of the, I like be right.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_03]: Like I have no problem with him.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_03]: I understand like last year things changed for him when he started getting nicked up.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_03]: Like I don't know exactly what all went in terms of like the physical, I mean, the actual physical traits and the mental trait.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_03]: I have no idea.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_03]: But I also know that
- 43:53[SPEAKER_03]: B-Rop was always a physical runner.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_03]: He was always among the top guys who had excellent contact balancing didn't go down on the first hit.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_03]: He was a working in twenty twenty two.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_03]: I think or something like that.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_03]: And for every single season leading up to twenty twenty five.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_03]: It was B Rob getting every yard every one or two or three yards that he gets.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_03]: It was because he had the initiative because off his line was straight.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_03]: He's getting hit at the at the line of scrimmage for behind the line of scrimmage and getting those tough yards.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_03]: And there would be sometimes where he would get you like your ten to twelve or your twenty here and there.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_03]: I've always said that B Rob was a guy who.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_03]: Um, speaking of the forty yarders, I said he's a guy who can break, he can break one for forty, but he ain't going to get you more than that.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and it just all happens that the company did hit one was against the giants.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_03]: That's the one that she was thinking of.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't score on that one.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_03]: AJ, but then there was the one against the Titans that he scored.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_03]: Both girls were from forty.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_03]: And that's why I look at B-Raw, but I understand like his value from a past catcher standpoint.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_03]: He does stuff well.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you can ask to run it back to catch out of the backfield and do a couple things.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_03]: Like, everybody, you can't count on every run it back to catch a swing pass consistently.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_03]: I doesn't have any drops.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_03]: And he's not the best route runner.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's what they got out of the accurate for from out of the backfield.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_03]: But you know, you're asking to do some simple things and you can trust them with those.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and that's kind of where I look at B robin turns it.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_03]: Why they like him so much.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, and why they're even deciding to run it back.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_03]: Like they trust him.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_03]: They they have faith in him for reason.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_03]: Um, now granted, I think it's important to remember it.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_03]: Um, Dan Quinn.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_03]: He's all about competition.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_03]: Like there is nothing.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_03]: That is going to stop anybody in that running back room and including the boy cast Allen himself who really has a small percent chance to doing anything like to even become the third string from my point of his competition.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_03]: There is nothing that's going to stop anybody from becoming
- 45:57[SPEAKER_03]: the a a focal point in that running background like it's all up to these guys and if you do good enough like the coaching staff is going to see it and I think that's a testament to to why be robbers still around but also why they chose to you know let's get it running back right but like if our guys aren't there early like in the rounds in which we see the value of them like
- 46:21[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, let's get JCM in JCM in there and give him a shot.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_03]: And I think for B-Rob, that's all he needs.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_03]: Like, he needs a shot.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_03]: They're giving him a shot, but also like, don't be naive, like the competition is still behind you, bro.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_03]: And I just think that B-Rob is in a good situation, whether it's for hair or for moving on elsewhere.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think he's a starter moving forward.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_03]: But I do think that in a rotation, he adds a lot of value to your team.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: Well, don't forget, James Connor was the running rat for Cliff Kingsbury in Arizona, right?
- 46:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like so, maybe by the fact that they didn't make a move, I think, kind of tells you everything they feel about either the scheme or be rubbed.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, one thing you got.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_03]: I just meant when I say it started, I was just for clear.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_03]: I meant three down back as it started.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_03]: He's not a three down back.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_03]: He fits in the rotation.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_06]: But I was just going to say, do we think that they kind of state pat on a B rob because they really like B rob?
- 47:19[SPEAKER_06]: or they just have more press and knees, but not a lot of options to kind of move forward from B-rock this year.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_06]: That's kind of what I question.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's probably the latter.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think a lot or two.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think they basically saw a tray and they saw a colony kind of falling their laps in one direction.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_02]: And basically, that's why they stopped the B-rock.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're
- 47:36[SPEAKER_02]: As AJ kind of mentioned, I think B-Rob is a pretty solid running back, but there's a lot of missed opportunities, right?
- 47:42[SPEAKER_02]: There is more opportunities and we're explosive.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: That's what we don't have one on the roster.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_02]: You can't solve all the issues in one-off season, I think they kind of fell with B-Rob as I run back this year.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_03]: But what I don't see them in any situation, even if you with that being the case, I don't see them in any situation cutting B right before the season starts.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_02]: And what I mean,
- 48:07[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I was that question of why I said that though is because like even with them having an opportunity of driving somebody higher and in the drive, they still could have went on a side of the guy.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_03]: If he Rob was a, if as a person, they didn't really care for it.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_03]: Like they could have found somebody in the drive in the infreases because running backs are really like they're out there.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's not, it's not impossible to find a guy to bring in.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_03]: So that's why I say like, even if
- 48:31[SPEAKER_03]: There was somebody out there that they like more than be robbed and they just so happened and didn't get them.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't like they was gonna cut be robbed anyway.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like he was going to have that opportunity.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_03]: He wasn't just fall to the waistline.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_03]: Like all for it.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_03]: So I just feel like they do have it.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_03]: They have their reasons for keeping be robbed and it's not all because there wasn't.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_03]: They couldn't get their better options.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think I think it's one of the position groups that you have to pay close to says to when it comes to the waiver wire when things make that cut because I think there's a movement that can happen there.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_07]: I mean to bring back they brought back the entire running back room.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_07]: The only person they added was jacory.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_07]: So it's like, you seem what you got from that group.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_07]: I just think that it was the comfortability and just seeing how this all plays out because someone's going to have to be worth not even someone.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_07]: Two people from that group are going to have to be an active on game day.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_07]: If you bring everybody back, who are you making inactive?
- 49:34[SPEAKER_07]: Because Jeremy McNichols plays special teams.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_07]: Also, Accler has play special teams.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, you know, George, you brought up the contestant situation.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_07]: Are they going to allow him to be back there as a kick returner?
- 49:47[SPEAKER_07]: Don't, don't know.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_07]: Chris Rodriguez, he attempts to play special teams.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_07]: Be wrong.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_07]: Doesn't play special teams.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_07]: Jacori can can get an opportunity at special teams.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_07]: So it's the interesting dynamic is like, who who makes the final roster, who, you know,
- 50:05[SPEAKER_07]: ends up being active on game days because you know that you didn't you didn't necessarily have that situation last year you you started and that started but you had three of those guys active most of the season and then you know C. Rob was on practice squad now are you willing to possibly lose them like I don't I don't know so
- 50:27[SPEAKER_07]: It's definitely going to be something of inches there.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: That's my counter ages.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think three of them are locked up.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think B-Rob locked up.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think Eckler's locked up.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think, um...
- 50:37[SPEAKER_02]: Do my thing, you know, you're poor.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're locked up as well.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_02]: So those three are locked up.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_02]: So they're going to be looking for a fourth.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: We weren't about potentially like, I don't think Chris Rodriguez is special.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you guys feel that way.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's, I agree.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's a kind of a jack kind of player.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_02]: He's a piece of solid player, but he's a dime of dust.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_02]: You can find him around the league kind of player.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think it would be nice to kind of have his own work explosive in my opinion.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's maybe they go that direction with that.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_02]: You said if Nick was on special teams, they might want to keep him there.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_02]: But I just don't know if they're really chasing after running back might be.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_06]: The book could be a kick for turn to this year.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_06]: He did it in your family last year.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_02]: You know when you got on the capricut.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know you got to like, yeah, prove us another.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_02]: With that you'll back there.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_02]: I like Luke.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_06]: I like him.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_02]: I like him.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_03]: Um.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_03]: That's kind of a tie like this one question together.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think it kind of goes hand in hand.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_03]: Like the success of twenty twenty five like what is what does that look like in your opinion.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's a good time to also play this conversation.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little lengthy, so I'm going to try to angle play the whole thing, but Cam Newton speaking on one hit wonders, the similarity between him and RG three.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if Cam, because this would be my first time hearing it.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if Cam is necessarily suggesting that this is all for something one way, but I would love to hear how he influenced the conversational alliance.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_03]: Let's play a clip from Cam Newton's show.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_03]: Funky Friday, and then let's kind of talk about the success in, and obviously J.D.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_03]: Daniel's too.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_04]: Dear, J.D.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_04]: Daniel's could be a potential.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_04]: What makes him different?
- 52:27[SPEAKER_05]: I think he loves the game too much.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_05]: But speak to me like from a D&B loves the game too much.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_05]: You know, you got people that don't love the game.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_05]: They love what conquered the game.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_05]: That boy loves the game.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_05]: Like he just loves the game.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_05]: Like he in a lot of success as a rookie season.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_05]: That's so I worry about that with most most like CJ struggling a little bit a second year.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_05]: But the line was a little bit.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna say it in this way.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_04]: There's nobody who had the game in a chokehold, like Robert Griffin to third.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_04]: But are you three bro?
- 53:01[SPEAKER_04]: I have to tip my hat to you.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_05]: One of the gold rookies he's on.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_04]: No, for sure.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_04]: So I see that same thing happening for Jayden and as, you know, being in that community, do you fear that?
- 53:16[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I think you always fear, like we got PTSD of not winning for so long.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_05]: So I was like, we don't even know how to have good things.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_05]: We don't know what it's like to be like,
- 53:25[SPEAKER_05]: have a five-prime time game to share like we don't know like so it's like we there's a reason why you know I'm saying and this is the kid from my last shoes but it's all he like damn like okay but it's it when it's the when it's the honeymoon over like young man it's easy to think like that but I gotta believe in like you know the new organization and new GM you know they got plans for the new stadium so like we going in the right direction which I write them wrong for what I mean
- 53:51[SPEAKER_03]: I'm the playing the whole thing unintentionally, but it worked out in our favor.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why I can think that that's in play or the way he said it and didn't elaborate.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_03]: But the floor is yours.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_03]: What do you all think about twenty twenty five, and then obviously it's kind of merged to Jaden Dane's conversation into that.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: I feel bad for a while, because you know, RG three is his buddy said, I like have to like he didn't come right out and say, RG didn't love football the same way the jade and did, but it kind of came out and sounded that way.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_01]: The things we noticed things with Robert are totally different than what we're doing now.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_01]: And also while Reddit, I'll take the CJ Strahd slump here.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_01]: where they make the playoffs and win a game and I think he's ever four thousand yards so not sure how that equates to a slump year but I'd take that when I don't this kid does too much I think he's right he loves football too much
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: to not be putting in the work.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they said all the verb is to as quarterback coach so that they could make sure that everybody's speaking the same language while he's not in talent.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: Little things like that add up, and I think it's important.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think, Kim's just trying to start a pot, you know, get funky Fridays out there so we can see his outfits.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_07]: But I mean, I think when you look at Jayden Day, it was the football player.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_07]: and also off the field as far as the work that he's doing.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_07]: Where's the true weakness in his game?
- 55:29[SPEAKER_07]: And I'm not saying that's just because, you know, we both do like a Washington Commander's podcast and I'm a fan in the team.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_07]: But I really can't sit back here and say he has a true weakness.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_07]: He could throw the ball anywhere on the field.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_07]: Like he has the arms strength.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_07]: He has the intelligence to be able to encourage as well.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_07]: He can also run the ball.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_07]: He did a great job of keeping himself in in season and not getting hurt like it didn't take any big shots.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't rip his knee up at the end of the year.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_07]: So so it's like you don't have any injury that he's bouncing back from the entire coaching staff is returning as well.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_07]: Then you've also added
- 56:13[SPEAKER_07]: guys like Lermie Ternsel, who has been known as one of the best left tackles in the NFL in the last decade.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_07]: Alongside Trent Williams, you add in the Devo Samuel into the mix, who is known as the Yak King.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_07]: He's been number one in Yak over the last five seasons.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_07]: And on top of that like just just a familiarity with the coaching staff like this is now he knows what to expect from the NFL last year was a rookie.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_07]: You don't know what to expect.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_07]: He's just doing what he needs to do.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_07]: So it's interesting to me from that standpoint.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_07]: It's like I can't pinpoint on any negatives.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_07]: I just think that
- 56:54[SPEAKER_07]: as far as like the overall season, it has to be super bold.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, if you got to the controversy with Alameday's accused, the Army Brown and a poor defense, like it has to be disobeyable when you make these adjustments in these trades and you acquire certain players, you're building out here, you're defensive lines and really stop the run heavily.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_07]: like it has to be the Super Bowl.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_07]: That's the only answer.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, even conference championship might be okay, but you need to get to the Super Bowl.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_07]: If you got to the conference championship game with what you did last year with that roster in year one, you should be able to repeat that in more this year with adding more talent into the mix and also having the same staff in place.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_06]: Let me just, I hate when people bring up RG three and refers to J today's because the two situations couldn't be more different.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we know that we live through that hair, we watch to be paid attention to everything.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, RG three, even going into two thousand thirteen, there was still those little riffs and those comments that, you know, the shenanigans weren't all fully in on them and they like Kirk Cousins.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and then there was the, you know, the issue where we were, you know, if he's going to be coming back the same, you know, all in for week one, he's coming off a serious knee injury.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_06]: We don't have any of that with Jayden Dangos.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_06]: And on top of that, you know, as great as the RG three season was, I was a huge fan.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_06]: I had the jersey and everything.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_06]: Jayden Dangos season was even better.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I mean, it is no debate about who had the better rookie year.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_06]: We're talking about probably the best rookie year of all time that Jayden Dangos just completed.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_06]: So, I mean, I think it's a lazy kind of thing to bring up at the Paris, because it just leaves out a lot of new asset context with that conversation.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_06]: And yeah, that's probably Camster and the pop that then again.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_06]: I've also seen Cam kind of a ghost from She, you know, this past year.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_06]: Like it's almost like Cam feels like something about his legacy is going to be threatened if a guy like Jaden Daniels comes up.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, that's just the way I perceive it.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_06]: It seems like, but I mean, that's that.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_06]: But as far as this season,
- 58:56[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not going to say Super Bowl of us.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_06]: I just think they need to keep building on what they did last season.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_06]: And I do think that means they definitely should be a playoff team again this year.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, but you got a tougher schedule.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_07]: Very, very, very.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_07]: I got to catch you all.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_06]: He's building on wet if like you guys are super bold If we don't go to the idea if we don't go to the Superbowd issue, are you gonna talk about Jaden Danes in year two like you talked about Lamar Jackson a year seven or eight or whatever I'm not I'm gonna say the overall season for the team was a failure
- 59:32[SPEAKER_07]: It's not focused on dating deals.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's a record for how many times they made it.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_02]: This was an over-achievement delay.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I do it.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: I do it that way.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: I do it that way.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_01]: That fourth time, what can't continue this year?
- 59:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, just the numbers say it can't.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_01]: They broke records last year.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_01]: How many times they got it on four down?
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: How many times they start the five yard line and chuck it all the way up and down the field?
- 59:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's why I brought up its closiveness earlier.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_01]: Superbola burst of me.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's as standard right there.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_02]: You guys hit the nail on the head.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think everything you guys said is correct.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_02]: I loved RG three.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_02]: I thought the twenty two whole season was a lot of fun.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_02]: It was really exciting.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_02]: But we are we're overlooking the fact that he ran a gimmick offense.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to like shoot on too bad.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_02]: But they had that zone read.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_02]: They had that running offense with Kyle Shane handed out for Morris is six to hundred yard running back to supplement RG three there as well.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think Jan did us came out more refined is more of a established quarterback in more games under his belt in college.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I think Drake kind of alluded to it.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_02]: They're insulating Jane Dinos.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_02]: And they're, they're like the flagship on how to develop a quarterback, right?
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_02]: They're basically like same offensive system, same offensive coordinator.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_02]: They're adding to the offensive line protecting him or giving him a weapon, Dino, same as AJ kind of alluded to.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's set up for success.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_02]: And that's not even touching on the packaging.
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_02]: Dinos has
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's a great work ethic, right?
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_02]: We know about the VRU, so we know about how much time you get in there for a clock in the morning.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_02]: He's grinding foot in the hours.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_02]: He cares at Cliff Kingsbury cares and there's synergy there.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_02]: We're like caution to hand and, um, obviously, to not have that.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_02]: So I think there's continuity.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's belief.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a culture being built.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_02]: Janine has some, um, I think it's a great processor.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll be behind a better offensive line.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_02]: He's about a pocket pass in an RG three.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_02]: It was my opinion.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I think it's going to be a pretty seamless transition.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_02]: But I think success to answer the question, it's going to be hard.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_02]: And we're playing the AFC North, which I think is a toughest division in all of football.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_02]: We're playing the AFC West, which is probably the second hardest division in all of football.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_02]: And we're basically, last year, we won six games where the score was seven points.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_02]: You're a lesser than you've got a difference in it.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_02]: That's our differentiation.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_02]: So let's say, if we go three and three, that's nine and eight.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_02]: You basically, that's home in five falls and nine and eight.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's completely different outwork, right?
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_02]: All the bounces kind of went our way last year.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think we might be a better overall team next year, but things might not work out.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm hoping that what did it win, ten, seven, eleven, six, up like that playoff is kind of what I hope and I think that should be our benchmark.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_02]: don't make the playoffs next year.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think that will be a disappointing season.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_02]: If we make the playoffs, all right, that's great because of that being the J&D is legit.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_02]: And that's kind of the number one question we should all be looking at.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_02]: We want J&D and us to put up two back to back years.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_02]: We want to have a franchise quarterback on the playoffs.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_02]: We haven't gone to the playoffs back to back since the simple season.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_02]: Let you guys even thought about that.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I need one.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_02]: So that's how bad the team has been.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_02]: So back to back years consistency.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's a home on the market.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_03]: I think the luck factor, man, is definitely something that anybody that was familiar with this thing in twenty-four can't ignore going into this year.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's okay to be excited.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_03]: And I think I'm super excited with
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_03]: like the start of the season, see how watched and stacks up against the best divisions outside of the NFC each.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_03]: Literally, that's literally what this is that we're going up against.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_03]: And honestly, we can't forget about the NFC is itself.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_03]: Like missing the North, the NFC North, the FC West, and then you got three dog dog ass think will too.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_03]: And then I do got respect for the Giants.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, especially that specifically that defense.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a roster without court of that.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_03]: I was saying, I don't know why.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_03]: But to the point, like Washington is in a situation where you're going to be against better quarterbacks, better defensive lines or better defensive overall, like the run game, you know, you got another
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_03]: set up dog ass scenes with great running back situations in great Russian situations that you that you that you're immediately getting tested up against because that was your number one issue last year as a season went along is like we can't stop to run for anything.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_03]: And I think for Washington, this is an opportunity to see like all right, well, if your defense got moderately better.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_03]: just how much can this second year quarterback and this offense that or or teen that has insulated that second year quarterback as you mentioned George like how much have they done this all season to keep this ship afloat but that's the bare minimum like how much have they done to where they could consistently when uh... on a week we basically have chances to win if not like dominate certain teams just like they did last year
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's not going to be any easier.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be harder given the circumstances and classics that we mentioned, but you're going to have to put on a show again and make sure that you put your best foot forward on a weekly basis to make sure that this team
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_03]: is a consistent winner in twenty twenty five.
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_03]: So from an expectation standpoint, I can't remember my exact floor that we did during an AJ, but I did say I saw playoffs.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_03]: I did say ten wins.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't remember if that was the floor or the ceiling, I would assume that it's the floor that I mentioned.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think this is one of those teams that is going to drastically fall off.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think that what we saw on Jayden Daniels despite, you know,
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_03]: the lack of talent last year that he had.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_03]: I think what we see in Jayden Dan was his real.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that's a fluke and I think his preparation and his abilities to like really show up when it matters.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that that goes away.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_03]: I think that this is something that's here to stay and that gives you a chance every single week.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_06]: Well, let me ask AJ this because I'm still flabby that's about Super Bowl the bus.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_06]: Now, they don't go to the Super Bowl this year.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_06]: AJ, do you start putting their Dan Quinn on the high seat?
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_07]: That's not what I'm saying.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_07]: We're like he would be going into the second year with Washington.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_07]: So if he got to the college championship game and they fell short of the Super Bowl and they still made a playoff.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_07]: That's nothing to speak about being fired.
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_07]: But the reason why you're making certain moves is because you feel like these additional moves such as
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_07]: The Marston was really a deal for this year, not even last year.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_07]: Like Marston, I clearly was hurt.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_07]: So you go in a choir, I learned me tonsil a Debo Samuel.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_07]: You go and shore up the office of line, your first round pick.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_07]: You take a Josh kindly junior moving the right tackle, Brandon Coleman, left guard.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_07]: You now in the second round, you have the benefit of a trade aim also you were considering taking in the first round.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_07]: dropping and taking him.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_07]: And like I said, with the distance, your quarterback play and every the continuity is the main reason that this also gives them an additional edge in the NFC overall.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_07]: Like, yes, the Eagles have had a better roster.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_07]: They have more lead players.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_07]: But when you look at the last game of the rest of the NFC, Mike,
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_07]: the only other team, the only other team really returning everyone is the Rams as far as the coaching staff.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_07]: Because even Tampa Bay lost their office coordinator, who's now the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, you know, like there's changes that happen all across the league.
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_07]: That's just where I feel like the reason why a lot of this staff came back because it could have went elsewhere was because they believed that they could win a suitable.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_07]: So that's where I just think that it's super bowl of buzz.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_07]: Like, am I going to be saying if I are Adam Peters and Dan Quinn, nah, this ain't wrong.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_07]: If I could sit back and watch wrong with there.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_07]: For that long, we could sit back and watch Dan Quinn have some failures under his belt.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_07]: But honestly, when you're making these moves for all pro players, you're telling me that I feel like these are the next final pieces to get us over the hump to actually compete in a Super Bowl, not win the Super Bowl, but be in the Super Bowl and have an opportunity.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_07]: Like, that's, that's just how I think, because, because then why are we making moves for Debal Sam and Larry Tumson?
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_06]: Like, what are we doing this to answer your question from my perspective?
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_06]: I think this year is all about proving that they belong.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean, I think last year was like, hey, you know, we're kind of, we're a rather, you know, we're, we're not a joke anymore.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_06]: Now this year, I think that's why I say playoff's at least is the benchmark for this season because if you do that two years in a row, you're letting everyone know that you're probably here to stay.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_06]: You're going to be around a long time to do this.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, because when I look at, you know, the buffalo bills, the ravens, the Bengals, those type of teams, they're not winning super balls, but they're in that conversation every year.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_06]: And I think that's the biggest goal that is season is to kind of say that we are at least in that group where you're talking about the buffalo bills, where you're talking about the ravens, the Bengals,
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_06]: We're going to be a threat and we're going to be in that conversation every year.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_06]: Now, they go out on one of them, soon forward to shit, which is not impossible at all.
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_06]: And I do hope that happens obviously.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_06]: And then do that.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, that'll be great.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_06]: But I just wouldn't put that as my benchmark expectation for you too.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_07]: So let me let me ask y'all real quick.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_07]: From what they did last year with the roster, the new had close new GM, all of those things, them getting to the conference championship game doesn't mean that they're here that they've arrived already.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_07]: or they have to repeatedly do it, like the Baltimore Ravens can't see.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_07]: You've got plenty of one here.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_07]: You've got to repeat it.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_07]: You got to repeat it.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_02]: You got to repeat it.
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_02]: You got to repeat it in my opinion, right?
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_02]: The Bangle was made into the symbol or the answer to the championship that one year.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_02]: They blew up and all of a sudden they've been off, you know, up and down through the past couple of years.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_02]: They have Joe Burrow, right?
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_02]: So I like what Dre is saying.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think he and I are in the same wavelength.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_02]: I want, it would be fair.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_02]: I see we're at age of two.
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_02]: We have a better roster, more continuity.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_02]: Everything's lining up for a potential Super Bowl run.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_02]: But I just think it's so hard to get to the Super Bowl.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_02]: We're seeing, again, arena, and, you know, Peyton Manning only winning one Super Bowl and things like that.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's such a elusive thing to get.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to say a linear progression going from energy to cheer if you're the Super Bowl in the next year.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's as straight line like that.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_02]: So it goes up and down.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you just say, uh, what's do name?
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_03]: Blank, not Blank, ever.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_03]: Who was to do, uh, Blake Bordle's go to the, how would it tell against the New England Patriots in the, in the, in the AFC title game?
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_03]: And they was, they would Laila, Jimmy, and he got Rob for Super Bowl.
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's funny.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, I guess to, on my quick answer, I think I'll just piggyback off of Jerry Han, George.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_03]: I just, I'm just in that boat.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_03]: I don't, I don't think it's as linear, I think every season is honestly itself.
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_03]: And you can't really, you can't really predict how the playoff ends, but the indicative of success is being able to give your chance, give yourself a chance
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_03]: by getting to the playoffs.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's what is indicative of a good team is how you doing those seventeen.
- 1:11:10[SPEAKER_03]: And obviously being a contender is how you do in the playoffs and the big things.
- 1:11:15[SPEAKER_03]: And obviously, I think to that extent, like as much as I get frustrated with the Buffalo Bills, like their logic contender, there's just a certain team in their way that gets in their way every single time.
- 1:11:28[SPEAKER_03]: But like their legitimate contender, their Ravens to an extent, you know.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_03]: I think they cool, but I think they're still technically a contender.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't, I'm not going to knock them completely, but they, you give what I'm saying.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_03]: Like, there are teams that are legitimate contenders year in a year out.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_03]: And I just think that's kind of how you should view it.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_03]: And honestly, like, Detroit, they wasn't bankrupt this year.
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_03]: they have a better shot of doing things in the playoffs and I'm obviously that will be at the expense of Washington because of we played them in the second round like who knows with that game would have looked like if they were at full strength.
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_03]: But you give what I'm saying like their legitimate contender and things maybe saying before but you have one.
- 1:12:10[SPEAKER_01]: Hey guys real quick.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the invite.
