- 2:02[SPEAKER_05]: good man.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_05]: I'm actually getting back in the football mode, right?
- 2:06[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I had a decompress.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_05]: The was just actually been doing some good things.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I'm saying, I'm paying attention to them.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_05]: Trade young plays on Thursday.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_05]: But that's how much they put.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but, you know, we got friends, see coming up.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_05]: And it actually done don't do me the other thing is I've been so in basketball mode.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_05]: That was like damn free agency actually starts next week.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_05]: So this is cool for me more because this is new for me actually because it's like normally when it's so bad I don't give it damn I'm more you know still looking at what we're doing every day but this time I took a step back I'm gonna take a step back from a team and it feels good because now it feels like things go by fast normally this time of year goes by slow so I'm excited yeah um I don't I'm not like they play they play Utah on Thursday right
- 2:52[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think they played the jazz, which is the tank battle we're going to win.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, so like, I ain't going to lie.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_07]: I probably find out what, what, what, what time, what time I need to turn it, tune in the morning, you minute or the watch them play, um, I mean, why not, bro?
- 3:10[SPEAKER_07]: Why not?
- 3:11[SPEAKER_05]: Um, it's going to be so funny to watch you get in the wizzes mode.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_05]: I've only ever known you in command this mode.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_05]: I've never seen you in wizzes mode.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, trust me, my, my, my, it's crazy like give it a run of years and I had to worry about like I was always I was always like that and then like I remember to stress it was like 2014 to like 20
- 3:36[SPEAKER_07]: 18 or 2019 is when I was super logged into the wizards again.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_07]: So like it was like a down period where I really didn't in between a rainous era and John Walker, it was a period where I didn't necessarily follow with them either, but when I had the trio Gilbert Jameson and Karan, I was in it.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_05]: Those are my years, bro.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_07]: Um, I remember waking up.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_07]: It was too late for me.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_07]: But I remember waking up the next morning, seeing or hearing Gilbert drop that a 60, 60 burger on.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_07]: And later something like that, I think it was on the road.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_07]: So yeah, I see.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_06]: And I woke up and I was like, right there, that.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_06]: I was like, you know what?
- 4:24[SPEAKER_06]: Like, not that he couldn't do.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_06]: But I was like, right, he was cooking like that.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_06]: Like, on all of this, what up?
- 4:29[SPEAKER_06]: Seriously?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_05]: No, I knew you could do because I watched them way back at Arizona.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_05]: You know what makes me feel like going back when he was a hero.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_05]: Man, I was 18.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_05]: I was somewhere around there.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I was about his age.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_05]: But you know what makes me feel so over for it?
- 4:42[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I said here, watch LeBron James.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_05]: I actually watched LeBron James Live in high school.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_05]: I seen LeBron James play live.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_05]: Went to one of his high school games.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_05]: So that's what you went from home.
- 4:54[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, that's it.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_07]: I any had it shut.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_07]: I any had to say nothing.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_05]: He told on himself and me and the wrong same Major LeBry he's yeah, he's still playing me LeBron of the same age.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_07]: Um, what was I at?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah I mean, I get it, though cuz
- 5:12[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, but a lot of things have happened today that I don't know how much time we'll have to talk about it.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_07]: Ben Standick is scheduled to join us on the second half of the show.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_07]: So we'll be talking to him a lot.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_07]: We do have a mark all season that we have to get into.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_07]: And it's probably best we do it now.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_07]: Um, because Ben is probably going to take a good portion of the second half, which is good.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_07]: We can shop it up with him and and figure out some things from, uh, what do you learn from the comment about?
- 5:42[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, it's also on how Washington make some moves in free agency and, um, prior to the drive or prior, prior, prior, prior, prior ties pick seven.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_07]: I did see somebody who was it.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_07]: uh, uh, Sega mentioned King and C.D.K.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_07]: at seven, um, a lot of people had good protein.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_07]: I'm going to say good protein.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_07]: Sorry, a lot of people had good compounds.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_07]: So, um, that is definitely, um, a name that's probably not going to be there at seven, but also there is a name that we're going to talk about what then that a lot of people are either like super-saudent or
- 6:22[SPEAKER_06]: Who want to do their mock off season first?
- 6:24[SPEAKER_06]: AJ just joined for those that's listening on the audio side.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_07]: AJ just joined us.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_07]: We do have mock mock free agencies and granted.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_07]: I was looking at ours again.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_07]: And the reason why I waited as late as possible to send mine is because so many things have changed.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_07]: Since we all initially did it and Drake, you did have some who were either, I think, tag or probably tag.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_07]: And I don't remember AJ's, I have to tell, I have to double check.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_04]: But like, you don't have to put up on the screen?
- 6:58[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_07]: Pretty same time, that's kind of, no, no.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_05]: But before I talk, I want to make sure, I know Bree's all got tagged, that's who I had on my list.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_05]: Anybody else who had this, let me check.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, because I wanted to before I even go into, I already know about Bree's all.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_07]: Where's yours, dude?
- 7:15[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I got it.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_07]: That's a money.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_07]: That's it.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, hey, Chris Paul is going to free agency.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_07]: So that's one of yours.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_07]: I think this, oh, Jake Moody, he's in free agency.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, but the main thing was Breeze.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, everybody else, I think you're safe.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, if you guys, if you got it, you know, a replacement, got got a replacement, too.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_07]: But yeah, yeah, a replacement for Breeze all of you.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_07]: All right, cool.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_07]: Let's go ahead and I think we'll be good.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_07]: 8 a.m. a check yours, too.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_07]: How do I get out of this shit, bro?
- 7:52[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, looking at your, all right.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_07]: I shouldn't have said that shit to Twitter.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_07]: Who wants to go, who wants to go?
- 8:02[SPEAKER_04]: go first, and then Jerry said it was going first, I didn't say it, but I can't.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I was just talking about it.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_07]: All right.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_07]: So let's go ahead and bring Jerry's up for the chat.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_07]: This is all again.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_07]: This is our mock all season pre-draft.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_07]: So there are no draft picks involved.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_07]: This is straight.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_07]: All season recignings and free agency signings as well, free agency acquisitions.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_07]: Let's go ahead and bring which one is his home and share the screen.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_07]: All right, here we go.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, Lord, I just want to show my day.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_07]: It's really not going to show all the messages.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_07]: All right, Brad, fuck it, fuck it, fuck it, how do I home?
- 9:00[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know how to expose yourself.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that's a little crazy.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_07]: I don't even think about that.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_07]: Maybe this will work.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, there we go, there we go.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_07]: There we go.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_07]: All right, let me double check now, yeah, all right, that.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, not just got to move this.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_07]: All right, Dre, you got the floor.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_07]: I'm going to remove this, so we are good to go.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, man.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_05]: So first we could start with the resignings because I mean, I thought it was pretty obvious.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_05]: We got a lot of free ages to resound, but the ones that jumped out to me, of course, Mary Ode.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_05]: If you could bring Mary Ode back, I mean, Mary Ode is a solid of a backup and a lead.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_05]: I mean,
- 9:42[SPEAKER_05]: You know, it was self explanatory.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe the best back I've been going to leave the last couple of years.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_05]: Age wise, I mean, you still need death there.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_05]: It wouldn't hurt to bring Jake Martin back.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, Jake Martin, he was pretty damn solid.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_05]: You just don't let Jake Martin start unless he was or you don't let him to be every down Russian.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_05]: You want him to be situational, rotational, type of guy.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, he's perfectly fine in our role.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_05]: Drake Jackson and I I had him more so because we didn't see enough of him and I I'm intrigued about what he maybe can do with a full off season with the team and he's still young I mean he was one of those guys at San Francisco with Adam Peters
- 10:19[SPEAKER_05]: bring it back, train my birth, self-explanatory, I thought he looked good this limited time.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, obviously, not saying anywhere near the start is, I mean, most of the guys, I'm talking about on my resoundless, deaf guys, like we need, yeah, I guess, you know.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_07]: And I was going to add just, not the casual, but I was going to add, yeah, I'm glad you said that, like what's, what's our theme, like what was our mentality when we break our all-season, I see whistless all-season whistless, so I'm glad you said it.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so myself, my recent, all of my recent is really where deaf guys.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_05]: As a suffocress Paul, I mean, Chris Paul's obviously a starter.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_05]: He was the big piece for me, like, I know, greater.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, and I still hope they can get something done because, I mean, I mean, you do have deaf damn granic home, but Chris Paul, I think he earned himself a deal and he should be back, hopefully you bring up back.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_05]: And then he rounded out what a Chris Rodriguez.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, again, deaf piece was a fourth, third, back, whatever.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_05]: Keep him on the roster.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_05]: Jake Moody and I did put a, you know, a feet there.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_05]: That's only if he was having competition.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_05]: That's it.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, for me, it wasn't him coming back as a bonafide starter.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_05]: It was more so him being here with competition.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_05]: But obviously, we heard that there was the he won't be back, which is fine.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_05]: That's fine.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_05]: If you can find the kicker position to solve that.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_05]: And my last rescinder would be Noah
- 11:43[SPEAKER_05]: you don't fit for fourth corner.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_07]: I got to talk about Jake Moodydo.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not about me, about you, though.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_07]: Like, I'm surprised that so many people were, like, unquestionably set, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh uh, uh uh, uh uh, uh uh, uh uh, uh uh, uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh
- 12:03[SPEAKER_07]: OK, with the decision to let him test for agency.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_07]: I understand, man, he made no kicks.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_07]: Or I think like one kick was beyond 50 yards with Washington.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_07]: And I understand, like, the question surrounds his leg.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_07]: Sometimes I always feel like certain positions, you just, you got to see something through, like Jake Moody has a history short, but what has he done with you?
- 12:29[SPEAKER_07]: and like I'm surprised that people seeing what Jake Moody did here in Washington and was like, yeah, we can do better.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_07]: I agree in the grand scheme of things, but when you got a kicker who showed up for you, I'm like, all right, well, how about signing him and bringing that competition?
- 12:53[SPEAKER_07]: They chose to let him go in the market.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_07]: That's not to say he won't come back, but I was just surprised.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_05]: And, Ma, that's where I was with Jake Moody.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_05]: For me, you know, Washington hasn't been the state in place for kickers.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_05]: And I thought he was pretty solid.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, he wasn't asked to do a lot.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_05]: Like he wasn't asked to go out there and kick about to 60 yards or, you know, long 50 yards.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_05]: But for what he was asked to do, he was pretty consistent and what he did, you know, for again, for you to say you could do.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_05]: much better, you know, we haven't seen much better here, but I thought he did enough that at least say, you know, he can be in a kicker competition.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_05]: But again, I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but I did think he was a little bit better than some of the fan base thought he was here.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_05]: But that's my list.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, yes.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_05]: reagents.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_05]: Breeze Hall, I had him up there as you all can see, but he's been tagged, so we pivot in good thing.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_05]: It is a couple of good backs in this free agency class.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_05]: And for me, I will go either, Kim Walker or Travis ET, and I mean, especially when you hear the news, you're talking about possibly looking at a Ben Johnson style office, so we
- 14:00[SPEAKER_05]: he did up there and the other back they had from Rutgers Manungai up there in Chicago.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_05]: Those guys, man, they pretty much carried that office for a lot of games for Chicago.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_05]: And then you're going to be a talented office and not just rely on the JD things and you are back.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, whether that's going to be in the draft.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know why do you all like Jeremiah love.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_05]: But
- 14:19[SPEAKER_05]: If you can address it before didn't, this is what I would do.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_05]: Kim Walker or UTN, age, self-explanatory, you need an age and I do think, oh, wait, I'm ready.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to try to pronounce this first name, but oh, wait, he's a solid age guy.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's it.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, wait.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_05]: I think he would be a pretty solid, sign-up for Washington.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_05]: He would probably be a best age, Russia coming in day one here for Washington and
- 14:48[SPEAKER_05]: free agency that would be a good pick up in my opinion.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_05]: And I went a different direction for the wide receiver, you know, obviously everyone's looking at Brandon now you I went to the other San Francisco receiver that's going to be a free agent and he's been productive and he actually took the job when he actually started taking some of Brandon I used Rex before he got hurt last year and I thought he looked pretty solid at a Peter's nose him.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_05]: that would be a good, you know, compliment to Terry McLean.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_05]: Obviously, we got to address the safety position, man.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_05]: We don't know if we'll hares because they helped before season.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_05]: He was decent, but then claw Martin was just kind of tragic last year.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_05]: So Jason Thompson, I think he's a solid safety, played in that Jonathan Gannon defense physical.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_05]: He had a really good season.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_05]: He's been having a pretty solid career, and that's somebody I would add in the back field.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_05]: Round and out for me, Isaiah likely that's the obvious one every Washington fan loves him, every Washington fan I think is hoping for, you know, a tight in like him because you just can't trust who's in that real break now and I do think Isaiah likely would be a big ad and they ever see Verizon, he would be a good target for jaded things, Amy's a security blanket and my last two, Jayla Watson actually heard news from him today that Washington may kind of be looking at the corner market and he may be one of those guys but he's young
- 16:09[SPEAKER_05]: He's been very, very productive with the chiefs.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_05]: That's the one I will love to sign here, Washington.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_05]: And my last one is your Bobby Wagner replacement, Clay Walker, I think he would bring speed to that linebacker room, and he would be exactly what you need to kind of transition away from a Bobby Wagner.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_07]: All right.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_07]: Let's get the AJs and chat, by the way, y'all can let us know where y'all think in, like I see JB mentioned Aaron Jones.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_07]: Say, guys, see you talk about your all then or run it back to big pimps every shot, wait.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_07]: Y'all let us know if y'all agree with the position and player if not like who, who at the position would you take?
- 16:55[SPEAKER_07]: And also, you know, we all about competition over here.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_07]: So if you feel somebody had a better wish list,
- 17:01[SPEAKER_07]: tell us who you think that is right now as we keep pushing through these things.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_07]: We're going to get a floor to AJ.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_05]: AJ has his coming up and chat while most don't know I want to let you all know them all AJ.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_05]: They had an argument about their whipslices especially the court of that position so let them know who got the best
- 17:28[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, let's go ahead and get this going.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_07]: AJ, you got the floor right now.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, just got to remember my wish list.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_03]: I believe that I put this out on social media back in.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_07]: It's great.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_03]: You can't see it.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_03]: No, I could see it a little bit.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_03]: What I'm saying is I made this list probably while the playoffs was still going on.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_03]: Um, essentially you're right before Andy.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_03]: Just just to give my preference.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_03]: So as we already know, let's get this out there.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_03]: Calpets was tack.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_03]: Cool.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_03]: But that's why on my list, I expected that they needed to get two tight ends.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, so I'll start from the beginning of resign.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_03]: Don't forget about you gone to.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_03]: No, just chill out.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: But now David Blowbeard, you know, the new OC, I feel like deep over fits within that offense.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_03]: And I think one thing that we got to be mindful of, Washington doesn't have a lot of picks.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_03]: So it's not like they can go into the draft thinking, like, hey, we can get this guy and see our worst out at why receiver running back, line back or corner back, like they don't have.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_03]: an assortment of picks and they also have a lot of people that they got assigned to make a big roster.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's like they got like 33 plus free agents.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_03]: So you got to spend some of that money, you know, you got to get to a certain point.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that when you look at the overall class of why receivers in particular,
- 19:04[SPEAKER_03]: Debo Samuel is someone that they should still consider due to the familiarity that they had with him.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_03]: He has with the quarterback, blah, all those things, and he could do a sense of what is needed out of that position.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_03]: And when I say bring back Debo, I'm not saying to bring back him to be a number one or number two, thinking this day of football, like you need three wide receivers to be a solid offense.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so that that's my, my thought process on, on people's family, uh, Bobby Wagner, bringing them back, we, we kind of see the writings on the wall.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_03]: We haven't come back anyways.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_03]: Um, as he says that he wants to return for, what is it?
- 19:48[SPEAKER_03]: Is 17 for 16 season?
- 19:50[SPEAKER_03]: Um,
- 19:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's more than likely not going to be to go to a new situation, so he's going to be back with Washington, Traylon Berks, I think that that's someone that had the hat's first round talent, I think that you need to continue to see what you can get out of him, let him have a full
- 20:09[SPEAKER_03]: all season within the the the regiment from the workouts to many camps to OTAs, all those things and see what you can get out of him.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_03]: He's someone that went with a couple of picks after John Dodson and that draft class.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_03]: So you definitely have some talent, you can see what maybe you might hit on something there.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_03]: Chris Paul, I feel like he did a damn good job and left guard when there were questions after Brandon Coleman suffered an injury, and obviously Brandon Coleman wasn't able to get that job back.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_03]: Chris Paul did an amazing job.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_03]: I think he said I'm the roster for a very long time in the wrong area, but you seen what had him being a draftable guy at that position.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_03]: Vaughn Miller.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, someone that can still be impactful off the edge, especially in this type of scheme, because it's more so based off the nuances and get into the quarterback, not necessarily like speed, it's just hand-placed men, bend around the corner.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's still being formidable as a deaf piece, a situational past rusher.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_03]: Now, get into the free agency, wishless, and yeah, some of you guys are saying the trash will look yourself in the mirror as exactly what you
- 21:24[SPEAKER_03]: So I run a bag.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_03]: I run a bag.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_03]: I got Kenneth Walker.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_03]: I think with this ideology of it being similar to the Detroit Lions office that they ran and what Ben Johnson still runs in Chicago, the most important position within that offense to really make it thrive is the running back position.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that Washington can sit around and and hope and pray.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_03]: that Jeremiah love falls into their lap at seven as a possibility.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_03]: When you look at the teams ahead of Washington in the draft, they all really have a need at running back, whether it be the Browns in a sense, because Push on Jenkins got hurt, and Giants, Camp Skataboo.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_03]: He was never drafted to be number one running back before that team.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_03]: They could use the running back.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_03]: Jack's could still use the running back.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, of course, they just attack, breathe hall, but still all the teams that are in front of Washington need a running back.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_03]: And if Jeremiah is what we view him to be, what media opponents view him to be, he will not be there seven.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_03]: And you need to attack that position way before you get in the free agency.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_03]: I already talked about Kyle Pitt's now the other tight in a lot of people may not know him because he played in a bad market in Tennessee with the Titans, but he's a former University of Maryland Turb.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_03]: That's Jake and Quanco.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's an up and coming tight in just needs to be put in the right system and with the right quarterback very athletic.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yack guy.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_03]: And that's something that Washington has been lacking for a very long time.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_03]: I can't really remember the last time Washington had it yet tight in outside of Jordan Reed.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_03]: So that's the one that I would like to bring back.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_03]: Now, you know, one of the major topics that we've been discussing for a while.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_03]: As Brennan, I, you, the new league year will determine what Brennan, I, you decide to do.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_03]: So he's not free yet, but the new league year he would definitely be a free agent.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_03]: And I think the writing is on the wall for that, too.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_03]: Now, defensively, devaluate, I would love for Washington to be able to pair devaluate alone side, Bobby Wagner, someone that can play the past, and also can play the brun game, extremely well at, you know, reading, coverages, and stuff like that.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_03]: him and Bobby attended the same college, Utah, being linebackers, so I think that's a unique connection right there.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_03]: Quity paid someone that could be versatile on the defensive front.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_03]: Get after the quarterback and be able to make some plays.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think you necessarily was in the right situation with Indianapolis Coles, but someone that could be a difference maker now.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_03]: to other fellow Africans, uh, boy, my favorite, and uh, Don't say, Oh, wait.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I have to get this.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, man.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_07]: We talked about things.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_07]: That was a thing.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_03]: No, I just, it just so happened to work out that way.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like,
- 24:32[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, as Africans were freaks, you know, like we're athletic freaks.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I'm about to say, I'm saying, I'm saying, like, I'm saying, like, like, look at Nick and Lori, like, yeah, you know, we, we don't I think we had a, had a touchdown to woo Sue, uh, he had a little pick six, but yeah, back to the last man, uh, boy, my fan, uh, a Doffey, oh wait, our young past wrestlers, dad.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_03]: can get after the quarterback.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think that with the right opportunity, they could truly rest their full potential.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_03]: Adolfe always always had big time potential coming out at Penn State.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_03]: He has a size that you really can't teach and hand speed.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_03]: At the age like 65, 260, some pounds, runs a four or five.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_03]: Boy, my face, quick off the ball, great bend.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_03]: I would love for Washington to add that.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think one of the most important parts of the defense that needs to be addressed to having a rotation of past wrestlers, and then at Cornerback, man, you can't see size once again.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know who, so, so long, man.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_07]: You were out, we got, I only got two minutes left from that.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so yeah, it's a regular man, six, four, six, four point in back, back to Ryan.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_03]: I think that he'd be a perfect fit within this game.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_03]: He can press at the line of scrimmage.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, that's, that's how I see my list, man.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully, at least 80% of this list is done.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_07]: All right, um,
- 26:09[SPEAKER_07]: Shat, I will always welcome y'all to discuss that in the actual comments, man.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_07]: We're definitely making sure we keep that discussion alive.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_07]: I'll bring up mine as we wait for Ben to jump on.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_07]: You should be expecting him within the next few minutes.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_07]: I'll try to be quick.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_07]: I'll just start with my thing and go from there.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_07]: Because I won't be able to get through all the players.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_07]: So let me see if I should show it to my show.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I think on my list, I said, time right 10 there is back on the quarterback.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_07]: I was wondering what he was on your list.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I remember that happened to that.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: But time right 10 there is back as number two quarterback.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: Fuck Marcus Mary.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_07]: So for me, my thing was just what's the word?
- 26:59[SPEAKER_07]: Just football, like how football I cue people with like an established mindset, like not a play there position, right?
- 27:09[SPEAKER_07]: And has a role, right?
- 27:11[SPEAKER_07]: So let's start with the resigning, let me tell you, of course, I've got to extend him.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_07]: Chris Ross Rodriguez, I bring him back, Traylon Berks, I bring him back, Jake Martin,
- 27:21[SPEAKER_07]: I'm bringing him back.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_07]: I'm a Mary with Chris Paul, right?
- 27:25[SPEAKER_07]: But I'm in a situation where I look at Chris Paul and I'm like, yo, I'm sure he'll test the market.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_07]: That's why I predict it.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_07]: And Lobo, that's just something that's actually gonna happen.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_07]: So we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_07]: Hence as we go to free agency,
- 27:41[SPEAKER_07]: James Daniels comes into play office of guard.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_07]: He plays center left guard right guard.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_07]: He was recently with Miami.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_07]: The only issue with him.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_07]: His last two years is injuries, but he's when he's healthy.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_07]: He's one of the better all-fist of guards in the NFL.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_07]: So for Washington, they gotta be very smart about if they didn't make an all interior office of lime move, if they moved on from Chris Paul, Chris Paul, that go like, you didn't wanna bring in a competition or verify it starter.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_07]: So that's kind of the dynamic with James Daniels.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_07]: For sure, right?
- 28:17[SPEAKER_07]: Kenneth Gainesville, those are row players.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_07]: This was before, if we knew about K9, it was before we knew about Breeze Hall.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_07]: That's why I didn't have them on the list.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_07]: K9, I would put over both of them, but at the same time, for sure, I'm waiting, Kenneth Gainesville, those are third down, backstay can tow if they need to.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_07]: So I wouldn't be, I wouldn't show it for that at all.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_07]: I'm gonna do a couple more, cause I'm out of time.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_07]: on my side.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_07]: So I hope you see the list.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_07]: Everybody is viewing.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_07]: If you're watching, just go to the YouTube.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_04]: They don't see the tomatoes in the screen.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_04]: Tomato tomatoes tomatoes.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, don't, hey, don't, hey, first love.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, don't try to sabotage my list because everybody, everybody says something about yours.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_06]: Man, I didn't even ask, you know, I don't care about you.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_07]: You can't explain more than it.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, hey, Drake, do you know, I didn't say a word when he was a one, I was, we saw him in the chat.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't say a word, as they try, as they try to sabotage my list.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_06]: You know, yeah, it's, it's not, I mean, it's not something I'm gonna fuss.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_06]: I'm gonna just go, I'm gonna go one more play.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_07]: We'll get been on man.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_07]: I start with a wide deal Robinson.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_07]: He already talked about shit.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_07]: I think he, uh, AJ and I, and even Drake is on the same page of
- 29:30[SPEAKER_07]: I think one thing that people got to think about, I know we want the vertical threat, I know we want a bigger body than what we imagine compared to one deal, right?
- 29:40[SPEAKER_07]: And I agree, I think Washington can still get that.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_07]: I also think there's other options in free agency to this point.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_07]: But I also think if you know about one deal, Rob is saying, like he's familiar with the NFC East, he understands, like,
- 29:53[SPEAKER_07]: Washington's office just as much as he understands the rest of the office is in it.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, the rest of the defense is in the end of the NFC East.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_07]: What's more convenient than have come to Washington with a quarterback this as dynamic as jaded dangles, but also in an office that's I he can be utilized just as much as he wasn't in New York in the backfield in the slight out wide if he needs to, but he's also a volume guy who has really good hands at his size.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_07]: and I think he can work several different layers or several different levels of the field.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_07]: So Juan Deal is not the prize for Asian, but he is a receiver who can really solidify, helps solidify that receiver in court.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_07]: So again, I wouldn't stop it Juan Deal, but he's definitely a piece that you can add and be okay with that or feel good about that moving forward.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_07]: Sorry, y'all, it's it for me.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_07]: Let's go ahead and get the good man Ben standing on for those who are unfamiliar with Ben.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_07]: Ben standing is a, you know, formerly of that medic in several other outlets, but now does the Washington thing, himself, man, the last, the last man standing.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_07]: podcast or stay and what's the growing only at one point, but then appreciate you joining us boss man.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_07]: How are you feeling?
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing great.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm super excited for an agency because I'm so taken tired of doing my graph where.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what to do because they have 300 needs.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: So at least that brings people, we'll narrow some of that down and that'll help with the mock crash.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_05]: Well, bits at the world are five yesterday, didn't he?
- 31:39[SPEAKER_05]: What is list?
- 31:41[SPEAKER_05]: Well, when I saw a Twitter, everyone said bins were as like it was Adam Peters himself that went on an already job.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_07]: Well, help help help me out then, Ben, because I, I've been locked, look, my, my supervisor, and y'all are like, Brad, it's not, I can't even breathe it work.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_07]: So please help me out, Ben.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_07]: Like, what, what was some of the, some of the areas or positions of need that, that had the, the Twitter crowd and the frenzy, something I'm not even familiar.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I don't, I don't even know what the Twitter crowd was talking about either.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I had, um,
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: My sort of like combine notebook, don't kind of kind of deal.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_00]: And it goes a lot about the drafts, and a lot about free agency.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_00]: And look, it's hard to get a read on this organization.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, when I do the mock drafts, one of my favorite, as articles is doing like a mock draft six different ways, like choose your own adventure, right?
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's how it feels with free agency.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: Because if I tell you that they go out and sign,
- 32:39[SPEAKER_00]: You know, one of the receivers he mentioned, you know, they picked the one one, John Jenning, Juan Del Robinson, whoever they signed that guy, they signed to Mel Dean of Cornerback.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: They signed Boe-A-Mafé, okay, and he spent their own pool.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: But then what if they go out and get, instead of that, they get Tyler out here, they get Isaiah likely, and they can't tray Hendricks.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they could go in so many different directions that it completely changes.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_00]: everything, so it's almost hard to know what to make of anything.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_00]: And from what I've heard, like, I don't know if the position I haven't heard that they're looking at, which of course is reasonable, but when they have so many needs, it is really hard to pinpoint like what's going to happen here.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, Ben, I was going to ask, because I understand how the con bond works in how much chatter and gossiping takes place at these dinners and just in general in passing,
- 33:38[SPEAKER_03]: how active they're going to be in free agency and then on top of that I would also ask you how caught off guard were you by the release of the audition and did you hear any rumblings of baby going after the top guy that's on the market like a title in the bomb down the street and Baltimore that that's you know where I want to really get things at ass on that front.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I think all the sign of the point that I'm being extremely active in preagency.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, for one, they only have two picks on the top 100.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_00]: So even if they trade down from seven, they're not going to get a huge boatloading of the trades and players that have to happen, that would create other issues.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_00]: So they're going to spend money.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: The question is, obviously, who are you getting?
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: Are you getting three or four big names?
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: Spending that money, or are you broadening it out?
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: Because we know it's not just a starting lineup.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: The issue last year was the injuries show that they had
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: they've got to fix that too.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: As far as beyond it, yeah, I mean, it was a little off-guard.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he had his best year last year and I never look at cuts post June 1.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: I just, every time you look at a post June 1 cut, it's always more money in the future.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm a little bit like, well, I think one of the money now.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to take the $8 million
- 35:04[SPEAKER_00]: What does that mean now?
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're going to go get a lender bomb.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think that seems a bit much, but they have to get somebody at center.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they could go out like ready for the minimum after bringing competition.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know what they're doing at that spot, but I would be surprised they go all in on a center.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_03]: uh, just just sort of run real quick, because before we started the show, Tyler Beott is first link now being released with Chicago Bears, and watch as opposed to be running a similar system to Ben Johnson.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_03]: So I thought that was interesting.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, yeah, I mean, look, I don't think I still have a look deep into the center market, but I don't think it's like a predict particularly deep group.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know, try to be honest may very well be a top three or four center on the market and if you need one, you need one, you know, I mean, but all there kind of is to it.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously, what they did last year, the bears, they built up their offense around Caleb Williams and I don't have an issue with that.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think watching it, probably lean into that Lisa, the position I'm starting to take, I think they should probably spend more on offense than defense.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_00]: We understand defense is terrible.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're really going to get the defense up to be at a reasonable level by next year.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_00]: It seems unlikely, I mean, it's so, but if you can you build the offense up or it's top 10 again, I think that seems more likely.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_00]: And if you do that, then you can have score people blah, blah, blah, blah, you may not win the Super Bowl, but you're at least going to get back, have a better chance to get back into the mix.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: But we'll see what they do on that front.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, all of a sudden the offensive line is a little bit more questionable than it
- 36:48[SPEAKER_05]: three of the five beats of that now Ben I want to stay on the office of line here I got two questions here in the office of line first I want to kind of gauge crisp all now looks like he's likely to hit free agency next week the you see a chance of him coming back or are they kind of be in brandy Coleman may be stepping into that left guard and maybe they think he's ready and second where are we with let me tell you see an extension happening anytime soon or will this kind of drag out
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, you never say never, but I would be surprised if Chris Paul comes back at this point.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even a matter of him.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's a matter of you've already, you know, you already gave Sam Cosme a lot of money at guard.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna pay tonsill.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if it's gonna get done the next few days.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: ideally it would, but I think it's going to get done.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Josh Conner leaves from an investment standpoint, spend the first round pick on him.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying you can't spend more money on offensive line, but it's probably to me, it's got to be a center.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then you let Brandon home and play guard.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Chris Paul's gone and Kudos to him, you know, to go from where he was, to be able to now maybe get, you know,
- 38:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty impressive, but I don't think Washington can justify keeping him, and again, unless you just don't think Brandon Coleman has chance, you have a guy who's more athletic, bigger upside, you know, and hopefully that he'd learn lessons.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: He looked better at tackle last year when he came in when Tom told that, then he had a guard earlier in the year.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully whatever lessons were learned there, you'll carry over, but I think that chance of being still pretty good on the offensive line at LeBgar with Holden, I just don't think Rick Paul's going back.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_07]: From an age perspective and free agency, Jonathan Ganard, the Vikings are open to trade in him.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_07]: I understand he has a tricky contract situation from their perspective, so who knows how that works out in terms of them releasing him or actually getting some type of conversation from him.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_07]: Hendrickson is available.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_07]: He said to hit the market and then there's a rumor.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if it's verified So you can correct me if I'm wrong, but I know Max Crosby.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_07]: There's some things circling around about him Let's kind of see where you're at where you're at in terms of trade market for Washington this all season percentage
- 39:18[SPEAKER_07]: that they'll be involved in any type of trades, given the status of their draft picks.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see how they trade any picks.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you trade a seventh round pick for something at that time, but in terms of like, what it would cost to get a max progly or somebody, I don't see how they can possibly do it.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_00]: If you tell me they're trading players, okay, well then maybe that's a different conversation, but in terms of picks, I just don't think that's a reasonable it.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the only thing I would say is if you do that,
- 39:47[SPEAKER_00]: Then you better go all in and just be in, get as many guys who can play right now with age aside, it doesn't matter.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: Be the over the hill gang of the door down, call the team back in the day, what he just went.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, guys, and trade it every pick away.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_00]: Then be that team.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: But it's not, I don't think they want to do that.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you can trade anything for anybody, which is the bad position to be in, but what can you do?
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: I was good with the tonsl to trade last year.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: There's one of the trades.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: You say, I beat her,
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: didn't quite exactly work out the way anybody else and that's one tool and it's really got to open them back right now.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_07]: Good.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_07]: Asia.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_07]: Well, let me ask my fall object right quick.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_07]: So if you had the name, um,
- 40:30[SPEAKER_07]: If there was players up for trade, not to say that there's anybody in particular 100% anything, like we're just shooting a shit, man.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_07]: Who do you think could be offered in player trades on Washington's in?
- 40:45[SPEAKER_07]: I feel like a lot of people don't think that Washington has any about trade value from a player perspective.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they don't.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I mean, one thing they have is Terry McCormn.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I am saying, okay, we saw last year went the way that it went in terms of the contract.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_00]: Realistically, what does he have left here in terms of the, you know, on the current deal?
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think after this year, you potentially is out.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that they're good at what's going to happen at that point, you know, it's going to be two years older from where you know, when it's on this last deal.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_00]: So, again, I'm not saying to do this, I'm not saying to simply discussing this, but if you're going to trade a player,
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's maybe you go down that route and you plan on grabbing that, you grab Carnot 8 at 7 or something and sign Romeo dopped and go that way, you know, but at least Terry would give you back, like I don't even get Terry from Max Cross, but you don't mean like that's at least makes it a cool, you maybe don't throw in this monitor or whatever, so, but yeah, I don't, I don't mean you guys, I can't think of anybody else, I mean, not trading any of the guys that just drafted.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I don't know.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why you're doing that.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, but it would have to be something like that.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was wondering if you're thinking the same way that I'm thinking with Washington picking some overall in the draft.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like they're in a win-win situation.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_03]: There's going to be a guy there.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_03]: Now, if it works out or not, that's to be determined.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_03]: But do you look at the draft and where there's slotted currently with the names that are being thrown out there from a sunny style to Marvel, Reeves, Jeremiah, love?
- 42:29[SPEAKER_03]: Caleb Downs, David Bailey, Rubin Bane, how do you feel about their seating within this early stage of the draft, as far as players that could go in the top seven?
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you either just named five or six guys, if you throw a car and held tape in just to ground it up.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're getting one of those guys, no matter what.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're guaranteed to get one of the three edge guys, downstiles or tape, right?
- 42:59[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're cold with all those guys, then they're in a pretty good space.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you can debate, clearly they need edge more than each anything else.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_00]: But as we've seen with the strap, styles and downs and love, maybe with the three best players in the draft, you know, a position aside.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, they're in a good position in that regard that they should get help.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_00]: And this is also what makes for agency so interesting, you know, if they're the world where they could get Jeremiah love, then,
- 43:27[SPEAKER_00]: Do you go a little bit lighter in running back?
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like maybe a Richard White as opposed to a bigger name that's going to cost more money.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: Do you, if you have carnal paints the possibility, do you maybe dial it back?
- 43:39[SPEAKER_00]: Don't go for one of the Joann Jennings or one of the bigger name receivers out there and go for somebody who's more in that DMB brand along with a KS level that we saw a couple of years ago.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: Do you see somebody like that?
- 43:53[SPEAKER_00]: That's defense event is irrelevant.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: You can sign five events, it's still draft one, that's fine.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_00]: But the other positions, you wonder if that maybe tips their hand a little bit in terms of what they're hoping to do in the draft.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_00]: But yes, in general, they're in a pretty good spot.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be interesting to see who's there.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_00]: Because honestly, right now, even if you said who's number two pick, I don't know.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't know who the second pick is, it's hard to know who the seventh pick is.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_03]: Ben real quick.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, let's let's roll play real quick.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_03]: Let's say at number seven, they're up to pick and Jeremiah love is available.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_03]: Caleb down is available and sunny styles available.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_03]: Who are you picking?
- 44:41[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I mean, if that's the way the board breaks.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I would probably go styles.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_00]: I've making the case that again, if they want to compete.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_00]: They probably need to go more offense than defense.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_00]: So Jeremiah love would be the better fit in that scenario.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: But the defense has got to get somebody who the other team looks at and says, oh, crap.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: Where's that piece?
- 45:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they don't have anything like that.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_03]: So does that mean that defense with championships more than offense?
- 45:16[SPEAKER_03]: Would you read, would you rather had the guy and they fear offensively more than defense of God?
- 45:21[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they have the guy that if you're offensive, they're ready, right?
- 45:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they've been doing this one year.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, this is the thing, and this is, I think, in a really important question.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: And that is, we know they came in talking big picture, what to be sustainable winners, build with the draft, and they clearly have not really built with the drafts to the degree that they were talking.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, do they look at this year and say, okay, we're staying that course, we're going to build through the draft, or are they saying, hey,
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: last there was so bad we better get more graphs of this year because if we have another down here who knows who's back and I think that's one of the questions of the league has right now so that's why if there if there are a little bit more focus on this year than the bigger picture then nothing you go more often.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_00]: If they think that with job errors they have time still more than just this year then you go whatever you think is the best available across the board
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just say this like, I get the defense talk, of course.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_00]: But my home was when he came in the league, the chiefs built up that offense and they were scoring 40 and 50 points again.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: The defense was giving up 30, 40 points again.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_00]: I get that.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: But the offense was amazing.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: And that allowed the home to become a home.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: Caitlyn has had very minimal health around him for two years.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: Last year, I was super, it was hurt.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_00]: But like we saw how the receiver room was.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know, last year, I mean, you know, running backs, you know, the seventh round pick between the guy, like, you know, if that doesn't hit, they don't have much of a run game.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_00]: We who knows what's going to happen at Titan with one receiver.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: So they really, I think, need to pick up the offense.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jaden can carry this team, but not yet.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's coming off of nothing here, right?
- 47:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he needs to like build him up, helping him out, and that just feels like to me is going to
- 47:09[SPEAKER_00]: be a much bigger rate of return than just drafting it, signing and drafting a couple of guys on defense when they have so many old over there.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_05]: And then for me, where is the team with Clon Martin?
- 47:22[SPEAKER_05]: Do you have a sense where they are with the Clon Martin?
- 47:24[SPEAKER_05]: And I say that because obviously, he had big expectations coming into the year.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_05]: Dan Klin would kind of unsolicited, come out and praise him to say, he was the guy he expected to have a big leap.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_05]: to the point where by the end of the season he's getting benched against the cowboys in your kind of acknowledging that he hasn't been the player you expect to him to be.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_05]: But then you see a deraute Jones comes in and he's kind of mits you in claw Martin voluntarily like that's a guy he's scouted and Minnesota and Illinois and he can play nickel he can do this.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_05]: Do is he a bit part of the plans do you think going into the season for the defense?
- 48:00[SPEAKER_00]: Remind me of this because you
- 48:03[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't he talk about Dorothy Jones like talk about the young players on like they were younger on defense or something?
- 48:08[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't he say something like that?
- 48:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_03]: He mentioned that and then he touched on like he came a journal.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_03]: Tyler Owens and and then it led into quamari and stuff.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, look, it's important to listen what they say and try to interpret what they're saying.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I do.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: But when the new guy comes in and starts saying things like they're younger on defense.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: In this case, I didn't get to work though.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_00]: That said, I really think the Quon Martin is super interesting.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think some people think you can play out of position.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: The last couple of years that you should be more of a nickel than a free safety that can just build for that more.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_00]: And in the world of looking at right now is a conceivable.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_00]: You put Quon at nickel.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_00]: You put Sanders still on the outside.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_00]: You draft Caleb down and then you spend money on some patch pressures.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't seem like a huge ask for this defense to maybe get as good as possible.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the Cuan Martin, I just wonder if you're playing out of position.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he got benched at the end of the year, obviously.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a great sign.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_00]: But when you have been quintile here at Defense of Mind and Code, but
- 49:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like to believe there's still something there.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_00]: He has a lot of the physical tool, but I don't think he's a free safety.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_00]: I just think he's a guy who needs to be closer to the line of scrimmage.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_00]: And since they're a little bit light at corner, maybe going to free safety is, you know, Paris, Martin, and tailed down.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: And this is also a good draft for safety, so even if they don't get down, they can get somebody else later.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think that to me would be a pretty interesting way to go.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_05]: will be in kind of a follow up for me.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_05]: In that scenario, if you do move quantum and nickel, you still have trade aim, I said, then you have a Mikey, do you still kind of go an invest in corner, which we kind of heard they might be doing that in free agency?
- 49:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think you have to, I mean, at a minimum, you have to get that right.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_00]: So a recent Jonathan Jones signed somebody else.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you want to draft the guy?
- 50:07[SPEAKER_00]: all those things absolutely.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's just the matter of, you know, if you have the first round pick and like four salary slots, you're going to put some real money into, you know, is one of them corner or do you go down this path?
- 50:20[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, look, but we still don't know what Mikey's best at.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_00]: You physically, you think he's best in the slot.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: Last year, well, I did not work out for him in the slot.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_00]: He seemed to be oddly better on the outside, and I think
- 50:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know, in Dan Quinn's defense, you needed to have these sort of bigger corners because he wants to press.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think with Doront's at Joe's own, but it's going to be that way as much or maybe a little bit more to own.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that way Sanders still can play a little more effective.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_00]: So how they've used Sanders though, I think it was a long way towards viewing this.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_00]: If he's a slot guy in their mind, then what I just said about Juan Martin is not relevant as much.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_00]: Either way, you know, they got to go get a corner.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's just a
- 51:03[SPEAKER_00]: top towards the top of the market or you get any more depth guys because you like aim most of you like saying or still, but you just need, so after you're other pieces.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_07]: So for me, this is my last question, Ben, I appreciate your time boss, man.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_07]: If you had to put yourself in Adam Peters shoes, what is your biggest
- 51:28[SPEAKER_07]: concern slash priority of this all season doesn't have to necessarily be a position.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_07]: It could be an item.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_07]: It can be a position group.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_07]: It could be a player.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_07]: But if you had to put yourself in his shoes, what is that concern slash biggest priority for this team?
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I put myself in his wallet to the pretty sharing and got a set.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_07]: Break the bank if you need to.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, I'll just go to a really base level, they've got to get speed.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they were just so slow on both sides of the ball last year.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think again, you know, people lamented like losing an island down.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_00]: We ran and lumbered the kid.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: Those guys know disrespect to them or somewhat diamond.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_00]: Dozens, what they didn't have was anybody who could run fast.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_00]: That I mean, I know they have jail and lane, but
- 52:20[SPEAKER_00]: He's not an outside receiver.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_00]: They don't, that's not that complicated.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_00]: The only brown is not exactly a killer, but he was really good because game Daniels could get the ball and he could get deep.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's offensively, I mean, we saw it over and over again.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like other than the few times that Jordan McGeewood would cut a loose, I mean, they just did not look fast anywhere.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, they were the oldest team in the league last year by a lot, and that's going to sort of go hand in hand.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 52:46[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, to me like at the combine, for example, I would have told my scouts whoever the top five fastest guys to each position max out on their bios for these guys because we've got to bring people who can make plays.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, you can tell this top sometimes, but speed makes up for a lot and, you know, they've got to do that.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_00]: So yes, we all understand the positions pretty much everything except quarterback and offensive tackle they could use.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_00]: but they have got to get faster.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_00]: If they don't get faster, I don't think how they're going to get that much better.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I wish I could.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_03]: And it's one last question.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, go ahead.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, is this roster in a better place from before Adam Peters took the job to what it is now, aside from excluding Jayden Daniels?
- 53:36[SPEAKER_00]: But I feel like I'm being like overly negative, right?
- 53:38[SPEAKER_00]: We should be like, Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 54:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's been disappointing, right?
- 54:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's not necessarily all their fault, like Johnny Newton's been blocked by a couple of guys and Ben Senate was blocked for the most part of his two years.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, Sanderson maybe had a plan of position more because of injuries and, you know, so on.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, it's hard to say that they're better.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I honestly, here's the scary part of this autism.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I would be able to just a little bit of like, not even a little bit of like what I'm hearing
- 54:31[SPEAKER_00]: If you look at the coaching staff, as an example, was their plan David Blow?
- 54:36[SPEAKER_00]: Was their plan Dorante Jones?
- 54:38[SPEAKER_00]: Was their plan Darnell Stapleton?
- 54:39[SPEAKER_00]: Was their plan David Ray for all these guys who've never done the job they have to be doing them simultaneously?
- 54:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to bet no.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_00]: But they had to pivot because they weren't getting some of the bigger names I think they wanted and why is that?
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think the worry in the league is that this could be a one-in-one year.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_00]: If they don't have a better year, then
- 54:59[SPEAKER_00]: who, you know, who wants the laptop into something that's not going in necessarily, you know, last and so if you're a player and you're looking to sign up like a three-year deal, you're like, cool, cool, cool.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: I see what they're doing on Toronto Jones.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's Brian Tlaura's type deal.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think I can work in that.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_00]: What were your offense?
- 55:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, David Blam, maybe he's going to go more to that Ben Johnson thing that makes the works for me.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_00]: If they're all fired after this year, I just signed a three-year deal and now somebody else comes in and it's different.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_00]: Are you happy with that?
- 55:26[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe maybe you're cool if this money is money, but I think that's a concern.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not saying they won't get players.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying that at all, but like they may have to overpay for some guys.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe they're not going to get some of the guys they want because the coaching staff, again, I have no idea how the hours around say Jones will do, but I would bet this was not the plan.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_00]: But they had that, they had a pivot because they weren't getting a certain level of fee.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_00]: They were getting kind of feedback I think they were opening for and that may translate the phrase.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_00]: So the rules of question, I don't think they're any better, except for the fact that five changes everything, right?
- 56:01[SPEAKER_00]: The most he's on the field, you feel like they have a chance, and that's not something that they had for the last one a year.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_00]: So that in that regard, yeah, but overall, I don't know.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_07]: I've been, uh, I appreciate you once again for giving us some of your time today, um, I had a free agency.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_07]: It's perfect time, man.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_07]: So we'll figure out everything that's going on, uh, as the next few days start to, uh, unravel.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_07]: I want to get you to floor matters to plug anything and everything that you got going on.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_07]: We mentioned last standing, uh, last standing, but at the same time, floors yours, boss man.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_07]: Let everybody get here from you here from you, uh, right for, uh, see your work or take this out.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate, yeah, last man's standing with both the name of my podcast and my sub-stack, last man's standing down sub-stack.com, that's where my written work is.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_00]: I had, as I said, I had a big notebook, dump, that sounds terrible.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_00]: I had a really impressive notebook, it's the note dump in there.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_00]: I was impressed with notebook, but everything I heard of the combine, the draft and pregnancy and all that, I have a mock draft coming out, probably it's more
- 57:04[SPEAKER_00]: And then you know it's going to keep going here for agency.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_00]: I love the offices and I love figuring out how to make a roster better You know, they're It'll be really interesting, but I'll be talking about all these things over there.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, please come join.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_07]: Would love to have them work Here it is ladies and then Ben pre-sacce boss man enjoy the rest of the week stay safe I look forward to talking again.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited for 70 degrees.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_00]: Is it 70 degrees tomorrow?
- 57:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's supposed to be like high 70s for the rest of the week.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, I don't know what that's like in court.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_07]: It's Saturday, but it is sunny on Saturday.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I'm taking it.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to work outside tomorrow.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm taking my laptop.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'll sit on your free and just hang out.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_00]: So, thanks God.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_07]: You're a good buddy.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_07]: Alright.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_07]: Alright.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_07]: Alright.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_07]: There goes Ben Sandy.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, so, fellas, man.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_07]: I like what he said, okay, I thought we talked about, I don't remember when we had this conversation, but I've probably talked about, or we raised the question about the coordinator's fight, like, where exactly were they at?
- 58:13[SPEAKER_07]: The commanders in their process with derontate and blow, right?
- 58:20[SPEAKER_07]: Like I think we like derontate if we connected the dots, like they had the conversation with
- 58:28[SPEAKER_07]: Flores, and maybe flores, flue, Jones in, and that will make sense.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_07]: That's plausible.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_07]: But Blow was kind of the bigger question, it's like, oh, like, no.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, we talked about it with John, and I think, man, like, I think like where really
- 58:50[SPEAKER_03]: For me, if I was an Adam Peter Shoes, this might be my last opportunity to be a gym.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_03]: I gotta go all in.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_03]: I think too many times when we think about trading for players, we focus on solely this year's picks, but who gives a fuck about using next year's picks?
- 59:05[SPEAKER_03]: And that should don't work out.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_03]: I ain't gotta deal with the replicasters of it.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_03]: Now I'm trying to keep my job, you film me, so that's where it's like certain things could become intriguing, whether you think about a Bernard or which I don't really like that because you got a trade and given my new contract, but I'm looking at the process.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_08]: That's the thing.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's probably going to give release because I mean a lot of us forget that they drafted Dallas Turner and like the mid 20s, a couple years ago, to You know, go alongside Bernard, but you know, Ben Ginko has done a sting
- 59:38[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm like, if I'm Adam Peter's man, I got to be hell aggressive because this is possibly me and Dan Quinn's last shot.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_03]: We both gonna go down together, winning on, winning on a stay around in the other one, gets to continue to journey.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_03]: So it's like, while winning should be hell aggressive, if you got the approval from the owner.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_05]: Adam Peters is necessarily on the high sea.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_05]: I think GMs get a little bit more leeway than coaches do now.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_05]: Then Quinn probably is on the high sea, but he probably does have a make a brief season, but I do think Adam Peters may have a little bit more longer release in.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_05]: Also, we just don't know how Josh Harris operates, like we don't know what his mind said is, we would have probably had a better idea of dance tonight, it was here.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, maybe he would be on some kind of short, least but what a Josh Harris.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_05]: We really have a scene him from a fire in capacity yet, like he's still new to us in from that standpoint.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_05]: But what did that say when you go back to the coaches we talked about at David Blow, we talked about
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_05]: I think Blau ironically enough even though we may all kind of feel more a little bit more confident about the rante because we kind of have a better idea of what the rante does and who he's worked for, we've seen him in different defenses, but I do think Blau was probably a little bit more planned and the rante was like Blau to me, he was hired so quickly after you got rid of Cliff and for me,
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_05]: Get in where the cliffs stated that you had a backup plane at police like you couldn't get rid of a clip because Cliff wasn't bad.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_05]: You just wanted to do something different than what Cliff was doing to the point where if you're going to move in a different direction and cliff.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_05]: you should have a replacement plan in place.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_05]: And they moved so quickly on the wild to me to say, and they did, that was the replacement all alone.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_05]: But they didn't want them to go elsewhere.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_05]: You hear about how Detroit possibly went to him and then camplled in the spot, how the other, at the Super Bowl, a radio road.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_05]: But then you look at it and throw out a jones.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_05]: That was a little bit differently.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_05]: Like I don't think the plan was to fill it experience on a defensive court made it.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_05]: We even heard Dan Quinn speak there.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_05]: And at a heaters, we're talking about going more to experience for out when we talk about defensive court
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_05]: to Ben's point probably has to credits like you know guys probably didn't want come here maybe they thought this was a high sea situation where they were going to have stability and you had to pivot to the Rotte Jones but even though like I said then then then they would probably feel more confident about Jones because we think we know a little bit more about the Rotte Jones.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not even having a record so I'm a lot to when I initially said that because I thought about
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_07]: Blow was a quote and quote like a mighty bit.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_07]: We can't be foolish and thinking that, you know, he wasn't.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_07]: Like, of course, he was interested in McDaniels.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_07]: Like, and he probably had conversations on the idea like, where McDaniels was leaning before, like, he started making his interview rounds.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_07]: It's like, that's probably an influence in itself.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_07]: But then, obviously, they're on the same too.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_07]: Like, you know, you got people in mind that, you know, some people just may not be moving.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_07]: Like, that Atlanta defense coordinator, even maybe Greg Schwartz, you don't know his situation.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_07]: You don't want to wait around for people, things like that in nature.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_07]: So I probably did have a backwards book.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_03]: I was just gonna say, I don't know if it was mentioned before I got on, but even a quote today from Andrew while he's presser, you know, he was speaking on, you know, when you're running this tempo, no huddle offense, you know, I really know and what everybody's roles and responsibilities are, but when you slow it down, you know, what everybody's roles are and what they have to do, think that was very telling as well from a philosophy standpoint, but I think, yeah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_03]: Once Detroit showed interest in how connected he is with Detroit, he was gonna get that job.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_03]: Once they went ahead and jumped ahead, that I think they were already doing certain things.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_03]: And I think as we continue with this all-season, we'll learn how influential David Blow was, day to day with Jaden Danes working on certain things because even Blow meant to something and his pressure I believe were like, when Jaden got hurt, they started focusing on him working under center.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_03]: like why why why we have you working on the center.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_03]: During the season, if Cliff doesn't even require that in his office, you see what I'm saying?
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_03]: So it may have been the unspoken already, but it seems like they were preparing, jaded and blowed to being unison with each other, O.C.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_03]: and QB.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_03]: But I definitely do feel like Dorontay was the last minute decision.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_03]: It was more so brine for his not taking the bait and joining forces
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what led to the conversation and like, oh shit, like, he really smartest fuck.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_03]: Like, we can learn so much from him.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_03]: He could probably do so much with the limited pieces that we do have and create this high level of pressure.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_03]: But...
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, next week, next week is going to be a exciting week for us at Trapper Dive and Commandant's fans, just understanding this legal temperant period because they'll teach us so much about what they want to do offensively and defensively.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_03]: And where their mindset is, maybe that'll help answer some questions, are they on the high seat or not, like, depending on who gets certain type of contracts and who they go after as soon as it hits 12 or one.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_07]: Monday, Monday, yeah, I'm going to have to figure out how do you want to work next week.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_07]: I'm going to be in all the different times on.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go out.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_03]: I hate it with a blessing.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_07]: Not any, not any neck, I'm not, I just need to know, like, Brian needs to figure out, because I'm downtown, um, you're downtown LA.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, but I'm trying to figure out, at this point, because I'm work travel is sometimes a get struck, you like, uh,
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_07]: When I can find way to turn up when I'm when I'm on work travel like the I got to pick my date right but my my main spot because I'm on work travel is figuring out a good places to eat so I'm not trying to do too much but it's also like it's going to be it's going it's going to be a data where I'm out there acting of fucking food.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know where you got some folks and more you got some folks with you out there.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_05]: You got the food.
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_05]: Well, you're gonna be by yourself now.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_07]: My grandma.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_07]: My my my my coat.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_07]: No, it's me.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_03]: You're gonna be acting the food by himself because LA ain't one of them cities, bro.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_03]: Like they don't folks be doing house parties and playing with they knows, bro.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_07]: All right.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_07]: What about downtown?
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_07]: Are you nothing downtown?
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_03]: trying to sell a bunch of weird things and homeless people like I thought you some places that go and eat but like ain't nothing really happening out there.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_07]: I knew I was probably gonna have to take some Uber if I wanted to get some decent food like the Johnson I'd be seeing on YouTube and shit.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_05]: I'm about to say you said bring your shit with your stream and shit to the hotel.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_07]: My laptop, yeah, I could bring my laptop.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, but that's kind of, I got distracted.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_07]: That's the part of the reason why I bought it up.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_05]: It's like what?
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_05]: It'll be four o'clock there on Tuesday and it's seven o'clock.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you probably ain't so shit at four o'clock.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_07]: So Tuesday and Wednesday on my workday so the only day that I would have available is Monday.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_07]: It will be Monday or Thursday for us if I can do a recording and it will be Monday or four o'clock because because Monday is a travel day and Thursday is a travel day, but I'll get home and we can go live on Monday because that's going to be temporary temporary going to be moves already going to start happening.
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have to do no long so.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, if you if you flexible, but I know down time L.A. got some good internet I'm being I'm being a decent decent hotel.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're gonna be straight.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_03]: Just don't get excited about party ends hurrying up.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_03]: That's should I have
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_07]: Man, I'm all right.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_07]: Well, look, all at this point then I just need to post a better bar while the low.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, I mean, I don't know what the world is, you guys, they got, they got nice low, uh, like hotel rooftops, bars, and low politics, low show.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I mean, it's like night, you know, if I get lucky on Monday, then I just need three nice with it.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_07]: If I, if I baggage on on Monday, hey, hey, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_06]: It's all that matters.
- 1:08:36[SPEAKER_05]: You don't spend your birthday or more nothing.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_07]: Oh yeah.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_07]: I learned my lesson before.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_07]: It helps, you know, but when that birthday and run out and that bill come back, I'm like, nigga, you owe this in two days.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_07]: Ha ha ha.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_07]: Pay it up.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_07]: All right.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_07]: That's casual.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_07]: So we'll be back next week.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_07]: If you made it this far, you know, we'll try to work out Monday or Thursday of next week.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_07]: We'll try to shoot for a Monday to tamper in the beginning of tamper in and, you know, of course they usually get there.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_07]: So.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_07]: Just be able to look out.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_07]: We may even do two shows next week.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_07]: Um, because Monday and Thursday is going to be a lot of things going on at that point anyway.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_07]: Um, but Appreciate about check that live again.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_07]: Hit that like button hit that subscribe button if you have it done so already.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, It follows me back next week.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_07]: Um, and so next time, man, is a great.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks, Harry.
