- 0:01Good morning, everyone. This is Dina from Mentor365 Services Incorporated,
- 0:07and this is Chapter 4, Resilience Through Faith, Rising After the Fall.
- 0:13And welcome back to The Healing Mind.
- 0:16If you are listening to this, you have already begun the journey toward renewal and peace.
- 0:22You have learned to quiet your thoughts, to sit with your emotions,
- 0:27and to rest in stillness.
- 0:31But what happens when life knocks us down?
- 0:34When all that peace feels out of reach, today's chapter is about one of the
- 0:40most sacred lessons of healing. How to rise again.
- 0:45We are talking about resilience through faith. Not the kind of resilience that
- 0:51denies pain But the kind that looks pain in the eyes and says, you will not define me.
- 1:00What resilience really is. Resilience doesn't mean pretending everything is okay.
- 1:06It means trusting that you will be okay even when everything feels uncertain.
- 1:14In the mental health coaching, we define resilience as your ability to adapt,
- 1:19recover, and grow from adversary.
- 1:24But in faith, resilience is more than survival.
- 1:29It's transformation. It's when your wounds become wisdom.
- 1:34Romans 8 28 reminds us, all things work together for good to them that love God.
- 1:42That doesn't mean every situation is good, but that even the broken pieces can
- 1:47build something beautiful.
- 1:49So resilience isn't about bouncing back. It's about bouncing forward.
- 1:56Huh. Returning wiser, stronger, and more grounded than before.
- 2:04When faith meets brokenness, let's be honest, it's easy to have faith when life feels stable.
- 2:13But when your prayers seem unanswered or when you are grieving,
- 2:18faith feels harder to hold.
- 2:21If you ever felt like your strength ran out, you're not alone.
- 2:25Even Elijah, prophet who called down fire from heaven, once sat under a tree
- 2:32and said, I had enough, Lord.
- 2:361 Kings 19.4 But what did God do?
- 2:42He didn't scold Elijah.
- 2:45He sent rest, food, and encouragement.
- 2:50Sometimes what looks like failure is really just exhaustion.
- 2:54And God doesn't shame us for being tired. He meets us in it.
- 2:59Resilience begins not with pretending you are fine, but with allowing yourself
- 3:04to rest, to cry, and then, when ready, to rise.
- 3:10The mental health connection here is, psychology teaches that resilient people share three key traits.
- 3:20One is self-awareness. They recognize their emotions without being controlled by them.
- 3:26Two, adaptability. They adjust their perspective when life changes.
- 3:32Three, meaning, making, they find purpose even in pain.
- 3:41Faith naturally strengthens all three. When you believe there is purpose behind
- 3:46your pain, your endurance increases.
- 3:50When you pray or meditate, you are building emotional regulation.
- 3:55When you reflect on what God is teaching you, you are creating a meaning from your experience.
- 4:03Resilient isn't about you are born with. It's something you practice daily.
- 4:10Let me tell you a story, the potter's hands.
- 4:15There was once a potter shaping a clay on a wheel.
- 4:19As the clay spun, it wobbled and collapsed.
- 4:23But instead of throwing it away, the potter pressed his hands gently into the clay and began again.
- 4:32He didn't discard it, he reshaped it.
- 4:36You see, resilience is the Potter's work in our lives.
- 4:41We are the clay, and even when we collapse, we are still in his hands.
- 4:48Every pressure you have felt, every setback you have faced, is not punishment, it's preparation.
- 4:58Because clay only becomes stronger after it's been through the fire.
- 5:05Let's go through some mental health coaching tools you can use to strengthen
- 5:09your emotional and your spiritual resilience.
- 5:13One, the bounce forward reflection.
- 5:17Each week, take 10 minutes to ask yourself, what challenge did I face this week?
- 5:23What did it teach me about myself or God?
- 5:27What new strength did I gain from it?
- 5:31Write your answers in a journal. This helps shift your focus from what went
- 5:37wrong to what grew within.
- 5:412. The Faith in Action Plan Pick one small act that aligns with your faith this week.
- 5:49Something kind, courageous, or compassionate.
- 5:53Maybe you reach out to encourage someone, forgive someone, or simply rest.
- 5:59First, every act, every small act of faith, strengthen your spiritual muscle.
- 6:08Three, the reframe technique.
- 6:12When a negative thought comes, I failed, I can't do this, it's over,
- 6:19reframe it through both faith and mental health topic.
- 6:24Instead of, I failed, say I learned. Instead of, I can't say, I'm still growing.
- 6:32Instead of, it's over, say, God is rejecting me.
- 6:37Reframing isn't denial, it's choosing perspective.
- 6:44Now, I want to tell you a story about a biblical lesson. Job's story of endurance.
- 6:52Job lost everything. Family, wealth, health.
- 6:58And still he said, though slay me, yet will I trust him.
- 7:03That's not blind optimism that's
- 7:07radical trust faith that says
- 7:10i don't understand but i still believe god is good in
- 7:14the end job story wasn't about suffering it was about resilience through faith
- 7:19his restoration wasn't just fiscal it was spiritual you might be in a season
- 7:28where you feel stripped,
- 7:30uncertain, weary.
- 7:32But even here, especially here, God is rebuilding you.
- 7:42So, take a slow, deep breath.
- 7:46Think about a moment in your life when you fell.
- 7:52Maybe emotionally, financially, spiritually, or mentally Now think about what
- 7:58that fall taught you Did it reveal a hidden strength?
- 8:05Did it make you more compassionate? Did it draw you closer to God?
- 8:12Say quietly to yourself What
- 8:15broke me once built me stronger God is
- 8:19not finished with me yet my faith is greater
- 8:21than my fear repeat this a
- 8:24few times and allow the truth to
- 8:27settle in your heart so I have an affirmation for resilience for you guys today
- 8:35I am being shaped not shattered my faith anchors me in every storm every setback
- 8:42is preparing my comeback God's grace is my steady ground.
- 8:48So, remember, resilience doesn't erase your past. It redeems it.
- 8:54Every trial becomes a testimony when you choose to rise again.
- 8:59So, if you have been feeling weak or weary, remember, you don't have to have
- 9:04unshakable strength. You just need unshakable faith.
- 9:09So, this was chapter 4, Resilience Through Faith, Rising After the Fall.
- 9:14In the next chapter, we will talk about how to rebuild your sense of identity
- 9:18and self-worth because your story doesn't end in survival.
- 9:22It begins in transformation.
- 9:25Take care. Bye-bye.
