- 2:48appreciate that the time and space in your life.
- 2:51Alan Carroll: Well, you're you have an interesting story to
- 2:54tell and an interesting background to share with us,
- 2:58which leads you into this space we call mindfulness. So just
- 3:04likes to have you share a little bit of your background and and
- 3:07your journey so far until today.
- 3:11Unknown: Sure, sure. I'll I'll condense because I'd probably
- 3:14like many of you in the listeners have had a lot of life
- 3:17experience in a very short period of time. But to summarize
- 3:21this, I was at 17, I joined the military. And that was before
- 3:28you could join before you could actually you can't actually go
- 3:31to the military at 17. I was still in high school back then
- 3:34you could. So I joined. And by the age of 19. I was a tank
- 3:39commander. And I was very eager at you know 17 1819. And I found
- 3:45you know, that was my first real experience with people. There
- 3:49was a lot of different races, religions, cultures. And so I
- 3:53got a lot of people skills right off the bat very early. And my I
- 4:01was in a in a big howitzer tank, the bullets are about 100 pounds
- 4:05apiece. And the bullet hole is not the technical term, but it
- 4:09was above my head for about a foot above my head. You can
- 4:12shoot three bullets a minute. So I was the bullet kid throwing
- 4:16these bullets over my head and long story short, I started
- 4:18having numbness and tingling and headaches and all kinds of
- 4:22stuff, right? And I knew nothing about how I like everyone else.
- 4:27I went to the doctor and when I was headed in runny nose, I got
- 4:29a pill and I got the flu shot and got all these things. And so
- 4:34I started going to a neurologist who checked me out and he said
- 4:37nothing's wrong with you, but my hand was numb. And so I went to
- 4:40the cardiovascular specialist and did the treadmill stress
- 4:43test and that was fine, nothing wrong. Meanwhile, over the
- 4:46course of 3456 months, I'm starting to lose strength in my
- 4:49hand, and I can't lift these bullets anymore. And so it's
- 4:54becoming quite a big problem. I also start having major
- 4:57headaches and you know had had As much since I was 12, that
- 5:01just started getting worse. So I go to multiple specialists, and
- 5:06they couldn't find they basically all said, nothing's
- 5:08wrong with you and we go on, that doesn't make any sense. Now
- 5:10a few of them gave me some prescriptions, which was my
- 5:13first kind of inkling to like, you know, where I'm going with
- 5:15this. And I thought, well, that's weird. Why, if you don't
- 5:18know what's going on, why would you get a prescription? You
- 5:19know, just again, I was a little stupid when it comes to health.
- 5:22So I didn't know what was going on. Sure. So eventually go to
- 5:25the specialist, my mom said, Hey, your grandfather was a
- 5:28world war two pilot, and he went to see a chiropractor. And I
- 5:31said, I want to see a real doctor. I'm not sure what to say
- 5:34when I was quacks. And but after you see enough real doctors who
- 5:40really don't help you, you decide to go do some other
- 5:43stuff. So I went to finally reluctantly see a chiropractor.
- 5:47And the guy said, Hey, I've done some X rays. And he showed me
- 5:50you got a pinched nerve in your neck. And I said, Well, that's
- 5:51that can't be the case. I saw a neurologist. And he said, well,
- 5:54a neurologist wasn't looking for this. And I said, I don't
- 5:56understand. He said, Well, you're, you're the specialist.
- 6:00You saw, were checking your body parts. They weren't checking the
- 6:05connection to the body parts. And they said, well, that are
- 6:07you kidding me right now? It's that same must be joking. So he
- 6:10said, Well, let me do an adjustment with you did
- 6:12adjustment which removed pressure off the nerve in my
- 6:14neck? In literally one second? At a lightning bolt?
- 6:19Electricity, energy shoot down my hand and feeling came back?
- 6:23In? Right. Yeah, there you go. Right. So so there you go. So
- 6:28that's, that's what I experienced. Now. I'm, I'm 19 at
- 6:30the time, and I go, What in the hell just happened, I was
- 6:33shocked feeling came back. And he started explaining the
- 6:36principles to me. Now I say this story, because this is where
- 6:40this is the initiation of of understanding universal
- 6:43principles, and the application to the mind and body. And, you
- 6:49know, he said, let's work with you a few more times, he
- 6:50explained to me that my brain has an intelligence inside. And
- 6:55it's running from my brain to the through my spinal cord out
- 6:58to my organs. And there was pressure on those nerves, so the
- 7:01intelligence wasn't getting through to my hand. And little
- 7:05did I find I found out later, about three months later, after
- 7:08working with this guy, my heart palpitations, and asthma
- 7:12completely cleared up. Since I was 12. completely cleared up.
- 7:16Now, at the time, I was also going to the University of New
- 7:19Orleans, and it opened up an anatomy book. And if you guys
- 7:22look this up, there's something called the marriage chart. It
- 7:25was it was created back in the 70s. It's a medical chart that
- 7:29shows the connection between your brain and your spine, your
- 7:33spinal nerves, and your organs. And lo and behold, I found that
- 7:38the nerve that controls our hand, also controls our hearts.
- 7:45But you don't have pain fibers in your heart. So this is
- 7:49something that's really important. 80 to 90% of our
- 7:53body, and 80 to 90% of our body, we don't feel you will never
- 7:57feel ever. Thank God. Can you imagine? Right? Can you imagine
- 8:03if you felt 60,000 miles of arteries and veins of
- 8:07circulating blood and oxygen to your tissues?
- 8:09Alan Carroll: You can't imagine that right? I got enough things
- 8:12to think about. I mean, think about me,
- 8:13Unknown: too. Me too. Exactly. So I point to these things.
- 8:16Because listen, I've spent the last 20 years, passionately
- 8:20educating people on the power of the mind and body, and not from
- 8:24a a big grandiose idea, but from an actual scientific
- 8:29perspective. And I found when people truly understand how
- 8:32their body works, it equals freedom, freedom from what I am
- 8:38calling the enslavement of our healthcare system. Now, it's not
- 8:42all bad. So maybe it's a strong word. But when we understand
- 8:46that you've got an intelligence that's circulating 60,000 miles
- 8:49of arteries and veins, it's turning your food into your
- 8:52cells and tissues. It's, it's rebuilding your skeletal
- 8:56structure, every seven years, you have a brand new skeletal
- 8:59system, every 24 to 48 hours, you have a brand new stomach
- 9:04lining, every 120 days, your red blood cells rebuild, so I can go
- 9:08on with this. But the point being is, that's pretty damn
- 9:11cool. And whatever he's doing that knows way more than I do.
- 9:16So that whole journey at that moment, I realized when that
- 9:21that electric shock came down, and all of a sudden I started
- 9:23looking up in this in these textbooks. I said, You know
- 9:26what, I'm gonna become a chiropractor. I want to help
- 9:28people truly heal. I also said, what if I would have listened to
- 9:32the doctors who gave me a pill? Right without a prescription?
- 9:36Right? Yeah, it's just, and then I started, yeah, had these
- 9:39cognitive flashes that showed me at 40 years old and 50 and 60
- 9:43and 70, the result of suppressing symptoms with some
- 9:46kind of pill or whatever. What would that do in the long run?
- 9:51And that's when I started realizing, oh my gosh, we're not
- 9:53looking for causes. So there's a principle of course of cause and
- 9:57effect. But what I found was that symptoms are mainly affects
- 10:02your body is not a cause. The body has never been a cause the
- 10:05body is an effect. It's a loudspeaker of you and the
- 10:09interaction of you and whatever intelligence you believe in. So
- 10:13well, kind of weaving all that together. When I, the first day
- 10:17in chiropractic school, the very first day in chiropractic
- 10:19school, I think it was 22 or 23. At the time, we had to do an
- 10:23introduction of ourselves, I stood up, and everyone kind of
- 10:27introduced themselves and I stood up and I was kind of a, I
- 10:29would say, I was cocky, big ego. And I loved to entertain, you
- 10:34know, I was pretty full of myself at the time. And so I
- 10:36started to tell this funny story about how I'm drinking and
- 10:38trying to entertain everyone. And I heard a voice pop in my in
- 10:42my head, it literally popped in. And it's shut me up. And it
- 10:45said, Your purpose is to ignite and inspire people to their
- 10:49highest potential. And I literally stopped talking,
- 10:52looked around, and it was, I mean, I'm in front of 400
- 10:54people. And I'm like, I couldn't say Did anyone hear that? But I
- 10:57heard it. But I could tell no one else heard it. So it threw
- 11:00me off.
- 11:04Alan Carroll: That's cute. That's cute. Cody, it threw you
- 11:06off every voice of God in the middle of a 400 person seminar
- 11:10threw you off? Well, I, I can understand wobbled a bit but
- 11:16Unknown: no, right now get me back on my egoic trip, like I
- 11:19know what I'm doing here. So you know, source Exactly. So. So I
- 11:24say that because that was the initiation of kind of going,
- 11:27Okay, wait a minute, there's something greater here. And
- 11:30here's my purpose. So that kind of is a rundown of, of the
- 11:33initial part of my story. Well,
- 11:35Alan Carroll: that's a Mount Everest kind of experience where
- 11:39you hear hear a voice inside your head and have a physical
- 11:43experience of a flow of energy going down your body a spark of
- 11:49energy. It's like a wake up call, like, you wake up from a
- 11:54dream, like, wait a minute, what's going on? It's like shock
- 11:58therapy, where you're, you're shocked into awakeness. And so I
- 12:02can understand that that is, that's rare. In my experience,
- 12:07it's rare. And yet, you don't have to have too many of them to
- 12:11get you on the track. And so those kinds of experiences,
- 12:15especially being being told, of what your purpose is, the
- 12:22younger age, yes, then then the decision making process becomes,
- 12:27oh, if you're aligned with your purpose, then of course, I would
- 12:31do that. But if you don't have a purpose, then, you know, try
- 12:35this, try that, try this. Try that. So boy, what a what, what
- 12:39a gift. What a gift. Well, let's continue down the you talked
- 12:45about the, the body is the effect, it's not the cause, the
- 12:53effect is somewhere else. And, and to me, when I think about
- 12:58the effect of the body, I think about the thoughts that I think
- 13:03and how the thoughts that I think influenced the condition
- 13:09of my mental, physical and emotional body. Is that similar
- 13:13to where you go with your, what's, what's the cause of the
- 13:17effects?
- 13:19Unknown: Well, we're gonna go there, and we're also gonna go
- 13:21beyond because what we're at right now 23. So I basically
- 13:27spend the next 17 years you know, become a chiropractor. In
- 13:30chiropractic school, I discovered a a work a course a
- 13:36program that was a part of, from a man who developed this in
- 13:401931. It was called concept therapy. So in 1931, he had a
- 13:46cognition and enlightenment, his name was Dr. Thurman fleet. And
- 13:50so in 1931, he basically had that cognitive load of these
- 13:54courses and classes to basically describe what awareness is he
- 13:58had during those than the seven day enlightenment. So I studied
- 14:02those four years, I started teaching them. So when I went to
- 14:07chiropractic school for was a four or five years got out of my
- 14:10practice. And I studied this guy's work. And I also started
- 14:13teaching as I was a youngest teacher. And most of the people
- 14:16in this class in this in the teachers were 60 was young.
- 14:20They're mostly in their 70s and 80s. Teaching, because the, you
- 14:24know, the guy taught people back in the 30s and 40s. So, so it
- 14:27was like, I was one of the youngest kids, there are guys.
- 14:30And so this work was what really opened up my consciousness. And
- 14:36here's why I say this. We discussed about the body and in
- 14:39chiropractic, we go, okay, the cause of disease is a pinched
- 14:43nerve. So when you block lifeforce, from the brain to the
- 14:46new organs, it doesn't get through. And yes, that's, that's
- 14:49a truth. That's a truth. It's not the whole truth, though.
- 14:53It's a truth. Because you as you just mentioned about thoughts.
- 14:58If we start weaving this together, One of the one of the
- 15:01interesting piece of this is was his work was based on why if you
- 15:06if you, when you adjust someone, I had just you you guys know
- 15:10this, I had in my office people heal from breast cancers,
- 15:14digestive cancers, sickle cell anemia, AIDS, fibromyalgia,
- 15:19multiple sclerosis. I wasn't doing anything except
- 15:22chiropractic. But the question is, why would I just someone,
- 15:28why would why would their multiple sclerosis get better.
- 15:31But most chiropractors aren't getting, you know, those kinds
- 15:34of things better. I mean, the average chiropractor fixes
- 15:36someone back in headaches, that which is great, that's awesome.
- 15:39But what I learned from this gentleman was the effects of
- 15:42consciousness upon consciousness. So just to
- 15:45explain this, he had a model that described when when more
- 15:51than one human get together, there's a way of their
- 15:55unconscious minds interacting. And there's a way to connect,
- 15:59it's called rapport. So when two people have rapport, you can
- 16:03influence each other's unconscious mind or the
- 16:05subconscious brain, okay, just to keep it simple. So he had
- 16:09trained us to build an image of health, in our mind. So I had
- 16:15six clear images, let's say of perfect gestion. And in order to
- 16:20under really understand this is you right now and you and your
- 16:24listeners, you're digesting food, you're circulating blood,
- 16:27which means you have a program for normal digestion, and normal
- 16:31circulation in your unconscious mind. That's there. Now, matter
- 16:36of fact, none of us know how it works. Yeah, none of us know how
- 16:38it works. There's not one doctor in this planet, they can tell
- 16:41you how circulation really works to just really feel into this.
- 16:44If you and I read every medical textbook, every anatomy
- 16:47textbooks, every physiology textbook on the planet, we
- 16:50understand 3% about how the body works. I think that's important.
- 16:55Understood, you go to the doctor, yeah, you go to the
- 16:58doctor, it's important people hear this, you're going to
- 17:00someone who's understands a very small percentage of the body.
- 17:04But there's someone else in there who understands the whole
- 17:07thing. And that's whatever power resides in the subconscious
- 17:11mind. Now, chiropractors say that God is resides in there, I
- 17:14think that's probably a good assessment. Because who else is
- 17:17going to know how to do these amazing things? Right? I don't
- 17:20know. I don't know how to do it. So in chiropractic, we say, you
- 17:25know, that, when you when you feel into this, if the doctor
- 17:31can put attention on on health, it'll amplify a patient's
- 17:37subconscious brain cells. So if I focus on perfect digestion,
- 17:40it'll amplify the program that's already there. Now that's,
- 17:43that's outside of chiropractic. So removing pressure off a nerve
- 17:46is fantastic. That's amazing. It's a physical treatment. But
- 17:49the doctor can amplify subconscious brain cells, you
- 17:52have an added effect of implementing the the program
- 17:57that's in there for perfect digestion. Okay, so I say that,
- 18:00because that's an addition on top of chiropractic. That's what
- 18:03I was doing with people. That's what I learned. And that's what
- 18:06I was trained in that is the influence of thought upon
- 18:09amongst our, you know, our own body, but thoughts and energy
- 18:13were how it impacts other people's bodies. Does that make
- 18:15sense?
- 18:15Alan Carroll: You know, I'm, I'm a believer of the there's a form
- 18:22of yoga called Raja Yoga. And Raja Yoga is the king yoga. And
- 18:28when you look at what does Raja Yoga mean, it has to do with the
- 18:33exploration of the inner world, through meditation. And when you
- 18:38start to explore the inner world through meditation, the inner
- 18:41world is composed of thoughts, and no thought. And so you begin
- 18:46to observe the thoughts, which begins to build the muscle of
- 18:51the observer and the witness that allows you to create the
- 18:53space between you in the event which allows you to respond
- 18:58rather than react. And stay still while other people are
- 19:00going bonkers. So I understand the power of the mind and and
- 19:06that book talked about the the body mind soul. Now soul to me,
- 19:11is metaphysical. Body. Yes, body is definitely the physical mind
- 19:16is an operation of the physical, you cannot think no one can tell
- 19:20you where it is. So it's beyond the physical but it's not
- 19:23metaphysical. It's not to beyond the physical or metaphysical is,
- 19:26is beyond the mind, which is composed of the thoughts. So
- 19:29it's that space on either side of the thoughts. So, so go ahead
- 19:32and weave in your understanding of let's go
- 19:35Unknown: there. Yeah, and especially with your level of
- 19:37consciousness in the your program and your listeners
- 19:39there, but we're able to go there. So I love that I can do
- 19:42this. So now if we take this step, you're gonna love this
- 19:45story, because this is the next this is the next big moment
- 19:48every moment. Okay, let's fast forward. So I've got these
- 19:52amazing healing results. I mean, we're getting I have hospitals
- 19:56calling me asking me what we're doing because patients are
- 19:58healing from sickle cell anemia. The UN AIDS and right. And it's
- 20:02incredible. So I'm pretty I still got my ego by the way, I
- 20:05didn't get rid of that. So I'm pretty, pretty big on myself
- 20:07with what I'm doing here. We got a huge Wellness Center. Well, I
- 20:12started hearing you know the little bit of the voice saying,
- 20:14hey, it's time for you to get get out of this and go none and
- 20:17then right, right, exactly right. So I thought she only got
- 20:23one gift in this life. You see, Alan i That was the thing I was
- 20:25confused on. So anyway, I'm pretty good. What I'm doing now
- 20:30I so I listened for five years go through some pain. I ended up
- 20:33getting to sell my chiropractic office, it was awesome to do
- 20:36this, okay. And it pushed me into a whole new kind of
- 20:40business. I opened a product business on Amazon, which most
- 20:43would say isn't really that mindful. It doesn't have any
- 20:46spiritual aspects. It does. It didn't. It really didn't.
- 20:49There's things in there, but I couldn't figure out why it's
- 20:52telling me to do this. So I do I do this. And then I'm making
- 20:55great money. Here's where it gets interesting. This is in
- 20:582019. I start getting pretty tired. I'm pretty worn out. I
- 21:02started taking some naps throughout the day. And I'm
- 21:06getting more and more tired. I'm going man, I'm I'm in November,
- 21:08I know the power of my mind. So I can override my body. Okay, so
- 21:13I do I override my body. I'm not listening to it anymore. I'm
- 21:15overriding going Nope, I have perfect energy. Let me just
- 21:17focus on positive things. And I'm pretty positive. You also I
- 21:21was not someone that you could you could complain to as well at
- 21:24the time. So I get I get more more tired. Now what starts
- 21:28happening is I'm getting so tired that I'm sleeping eight
- 21:31hours at night and two hours in a day, three hours in a day,
- 21:34four hours in a day. I'm starting to get pretty worried.
- 21:37Yeah, yeah. And I had made multiple trips to China because
- 21:42you source products from China to build these to build these
- 21:45products. Okay. So this is the story. I start going to doctors,
- 21:51you know, I don't even believe in doctors, right? I judge
- 21:53medical doctors I judge the whole system. This is a big
- 21:56principle. I've noticed whatever we criticize, we eventually
- 22:00become a big principal here go
- 22:03Alan Carroll: ahead and say that again. Say that again? Dr. Cody
- 22:06because that's a really a pretty sound
- 22:08Unknown: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, let me say it fully Yeah, whatever
- 22:11we criticize we eventually attract in our life becoming
- 22:16ourself or breed it in our kids.
- 22:19Alan Carroll: Like like you throw the ball out but it
- 22:22bounces back and hit you in the face
- 22:25Unknown: yeah, because energy where people people going oh,
- 22:27we're concentration goes energy flows and manifests in physical
- 22:30form. But what I didn't realize was if you shove down fear your
- 22:35whatever you repress get expressed. Now it may express in
- 22:38a way you don't like but I'll get into that principle that's a
- 22:40pretty big one. So you bet so here's what happens right? So
- 22:44I'm starting to get more and more sick I start going to
- 22:46doctors because i There's no all my natural healers can't do
- 22:50anything my patent may chiropractors my you know all of
- 22:53them. And so long story short, I started doing some stool tests
- 22:56and the samples and $35,000 of blood tests. I mean, I'm
- 22:59starting to get pretty sick. Now I'm in bed eight hours at night
- 23:03and eight hours in a day. Okay. My energy is so bad. I'm
- 23:09starting to be poisoned from the inside. I didn't know what was
- 23:12going on. But I basically got a parasite in China which by the
- 23:16way, I didn't believe in parasites I thought it was all
- 23:18in your head so just to hear it here that I created what I
- 23:21decided to started becoming Okay. Bacteria, I thought
- 23:24bacteria is bullshit. I judge that I said that's on your mind
- 23:28that's on your mind. So I get a parasite in China that starts
- 23:31eating away at my my nutrients and start becoming malnourished
- 23:35from the inside. Okay. Now, I was bit by a tick when I was 17.
- 23:39Okay, so limes bacteria Lyme bacteria was released into my
- 23:44system now the Lyme bacteria is actually circulating through my
- 23:49blood brain barrier in through my circulation and it is
- 23:52poisoning my brain. So now I can't think straight like you
- 23:55asked me to spell my name. I can't spell my name. But it's
- 23:57pretty scary to experience that it's a bit like exploring
- 24:00Alzheimer's I would think so. I'm now in bed. I'm it's easier
- 24:07to see when I'm not in bed. I'm basically up an hour to two
- 24:09hours a day to try to take supplements and eat something
- 24:14and this happens I'm in bed for six months. I don't walk for six
- 24:18months. I've got a new brand brand new baby she's six months
- 24:22old. I don't hold her my mom and dad who are in their in their
- 24:2670s Come out and they get to watch me they gotta they gotta
- 24:29stay with me so they can so I can take care of my you know my
- 24:32family. My dad stays with me Mom saves me which by the way, I
- 24:36didn't have a lot of affinity for family that was one of my
- 24:38high priorities. I always judged family said families just there
- 24:41for blood. It's just not right. Whatever you criticize, you
- 24:44eventually attract breeder become so now I've got to rely
- 24:47on my family. This goes on for a year and a half, six months
- 24:51embed me fast forward to you can't imagine the physical and
- 24:55mental pain of the breaking down of your body. When you feel your
- 24:59body breaking down. You Feel your organs breaking down. All
- 25:02the patients who came in who had problems. I really never had
- 25:05problems like this. I started having sympathy. Right? Right. I
- 25:08started understanding oh my god, I see what you guys were
- 25:11experiencing. But it was on a whole level for me not walking
- 25:15for six months when you're an athlete, I was a bodybuilder.
- 25:18I'm a public speaker, I'm you know, I'm designed to help other
- 25:20people. So here's what happens is the start, I can't go to my
- 25:23body anymore. My body's just destroying. So I go into my
- 25:26mind, I go, You know what, I got control over my mind. But
- 25:29because the bacteria poison my mind, what happens when you lose
- 25:32your mind? literally lost my mind? Where do you go? When your
- 25:36body doesn't work anymore? And your mind isn't working anymore?
- 25:39That's an interesting question. Well, I moved outside of it. And
- 25:43I literally watched myself above my body for months, I just sat
- 25:47over it. Well, I don't know how that even happened. I just
- 25:49watched it. And of course, I'm having conversations with
- 25:52whatever entity will talk to me. Jesus Buddha, Allah, I didn't I
- 25:58didn't believe in religion, but I talked to anybody at that
- 26:00point. All right. And I went through all the metaphysical
- 26:05principles, all the rays of the dawn, the concept therapy, the
- 26:09Joe Dispenza, the Bruce Lipton, the all of them, the Tony
- 26:13Robbins, I went through all the principles I knew, to try to
- 26:15figure out what was going on. None of it worked. None of it
- 26:19worked. And I can't describe to you the mental pain and the
- 26:23emotional pain. The psychological pain is the best
- 26:27way to put the spiritual pain of, of thinking that you know
- 26:31how to help people. But How funny is it to be the guy that
- 26:35can help everyone, but can't help himself. That level of that
- 26:39level of hypocrisy, and self condemnation was pretty big.
- 26:43Okay. So I feel myself dying. I don't want anyone around.
- 26:48Because I was always Mr. Positive, and I wanted people to
- 26:50see me as strong. I never showed weak parts of myself, which is a
- 26:54little hint to this story. And I didn't want to no one around.
- 26:58And I just I didn't, I said, all my friends wouldn't come over to
- 27:01need help. And like, I couldn't talk on the phone and get my
- 27:03computer. Now interesting enough, I had Amazon business,
- 27:07which didn't require my presence. I had one employee who
- 27:09ran the whole thing. Had I kept my chiropractic office, I would
- 27:13have lost everything. But source or spirit guided me to build a
- 27:18business, which I thought was very unspiritual. Right. And
- 27:21they right had no purpose. Well, here's the purpose, to go
- 27:25through this event, and still provide income for my family. I
- 27:28couldn't have I couldn't have thought of that. Right? You see,
- 27:30I'm saying right. So right. So this is the moment I think is
- 27:34important for you and want you to get the story. I'm I am
- 27:39saying things like this, I just want to die. Just let me die.
- 27:44It's not about suicide. It was about what's the point of living
- 27:47like this. You can't walk? What's the point? I mean, I
- 27:50could hear people playing outside I could, I could feel
- 27:52that the sun was nice. I could feel people enjoying their
- 27:55lives. What's the point of living? These are things I would
- 27:58have never said before. I would never said before, because I was
- 28:01blocking out dark, negative, I was blocking the other side of
- 28:05life. So I finally like, listen, I tried ways to kill myself. I'm
- 28:10gonna just be honest. And I started most people could hear
- 28:13my verbiage. And they were worried about me. And so people
- 28:15started coming over and watching me. And I finally said, Okay,
- 28:19well, that's, you know, I remember trying to figure out
- 28:21how to jump out of the window, and land on my head. So I break
- 28:23my neck, because I just I know how the body works. Right? So
- 28:27but then I realized, is it really going to relieve me from
- 28:30my spiritual pain by removing my body? And I said, that's, that's
- 28:33quite an interesting question there in itself, right? So so I
- 28:37go in, and I realized I'm so afraid of death all the things
- 28:43the dark energies that I called dark all the things I was afraid
- 28:47of were starting to happen. And I finally after there's a
- 28:50there's about two weeks in this, but I said, Screw it. I'm gonna
- 28:55go in let me just go into these energies. Let me start I felt I
- 28:58was resisting all this. Let me just go into the darkness, the
- 29:01death the dying the illness, let me go in to the things that I've
- 29:05been avoiding. Let me just go in because what else is gonna
- 29:08happen if I die, die?
- 29:12I don't know how I did this. But if people can resonate with
- 29:17resisting something, and you just stop and you allow it in,
- 29:20however you do, however, you can translate that in your own
- 29:22being. I let this in and I dove in imagine a pool of darkness, a
- 29:28pool of dark tar that think you're gonna die and you just
- 29:31dive into that son of a gun. Right? When I died in, I moved
- 29:36in to what felt like death and dying. I started feeling
- 29:40electricity. I started feeling life. When I dove into darkness.
- 29:45I started feeling life. All the treatments, all the stuff. I was
- 29:48doing multiple IVs oxygen therapy. I mean, I'm not going
- 29:51to go through the whole list, a whole 25 to 30 prescriptions and
- 29:56medication. None of that stuff did anything. None of it
- 29:59anything but When I dove into this darkness, I started filling
- 30:02life. I don't know how that how even describe this after six
- 30:05months of being in bed to dive in, and you feel life and now my
- 30:11I'm very confused. I'm confused because I thought that you
- 30:14needed to be positive in life, I thought positivity was a way to
- 30:17have a good life. I'm starting to be shown something else. So
- 30:22things that sort of flashed through my mind this moment was,
- 30:25I had judged so many things in my life for being bad or
- 30:29negative. And I started I had to become all these things like I
- 30:32mentioned. Well, I wasn't a guy that you could talk to when if
- 30:36you want to kill yourself, don't come talk to me. If you were you
- 30:39feeling bad about your day, don't come talk to me. Well, now
- 30:42I'm the guy that suddenly realize, oh, my gosh, positivity
- 30:47is a fantasy. Negativity is a fantasy. Both are illusions.
- 30:53Both are illusions. There's a law of polarity, which I
- 30:56understood, but I understood it intellectually. Now I'm starting
- 30:59to grasp it. Universal Law of Polarity, which I know you're
- 31:02familiar with, Allen says that the tides go in, the tides go
- 31:05out, the sun comes up, the sun goes down. Human equilibrium
- 31:08goes through polarity, there's nothing that doesn't have
- 31:10polarity. But what I was doing was trying to be a one sided
- 31:16being, right, one sided positive person, right, and cutting out
- 31:20the negative. This is what our self development world, much of
- 31:22the self development world has been teaching. Well, guess what
- 31:26happens when you hold the positive polarity to feel into
- 31:28this. I'm Dr. Goldman, and the ultimate image of health. Let me
- 31:33help you. Let me help you achieve success, achieve health
- 31:38achieve, you know, happiness. So I'm holding the positive poll,
- 31:42the longer and harder you hold that poll, the harsher the swing
- 31:47to the side, boom. That's where the illness came in. That's why
- 31:50it was so harsh. When I allowed this energy, all of it to dive
- 31:55in. But I say life started coming back in I don't mean
- 31:58positivity, I mean, the energy of life, which is what's in
- 32:03between polarities. So if we have positive negative
- 32:06illusions, when you collapse the positive, negative and realize
- 32:09their illusions, that's when true energy starts coming in.
- 32:15And that's when power started coming in. And that's when my
- 32:17body started healing again, I was able to, within two weeks,
- 32:21notice my first walk or walk to half block. And then that half
- 32:25block of stumbling, my feet just kind of shuffling, just very
- 32:28slowly. This little old lady with a walker passes me up. And
- 32:33I started having this cognition, oh my god, you were judgmental
- 32:37of slow people. Now you became a slow person. They see all these
- 32:43things that we we judged in our lives. I wanted to say this in a
- 32:47strong way. We know that you'll eventually become them. But if
- 32:50you can go in and see and the things that you have judged, and
- 32:55see how it all has both benefits and drawbacks. Even the you know
- 33:01what I mean? Yeah, when you feel oh, yeah, so this moment, this
- 33:04Yeah, this moment was a psychedelic moment. Yep. I had
- 33:07never done psychedelics. I've never done any drugs in my life.
- 33:12But when you take this moment, and I slowly started healing,
- 33:15you started coming back and trying to figure out okay, what
- 33:17do I do with this now? Right? What do I do with this? I of
- 33:21course, my Amazon business is not needed anymore. So that
- 33:24slowly started going away. Right? And I so started going,
- 33:28Well, what do you want me to do now? And this is where the path
- 33:33started taking me was, was starting to coach people. And
- 33:38and you know, you probably have seen I have a, it's interesting,
- 33:41because you know how I judge the Amazon company. Well, it told me
- 33:45the next thing was build a weight loss company and go a
- 33:47weight loss. That's so physical. Why would you do that? That's
- 33:51just as not spiritual. And then I realized, Oh, my God, when you
- 33:56don't have your body, you're not seeking for God. While you're
- 34:00seeking for it is fucking relief. Sorry for the cursing,
- 34:03but some relief. Right, right. Yeah. And so I realized that
- 34:06that's the first step to spirituality is do you have your
- 34:09health? It doesn't, I wouldn't ever said that before. But now I
- 34:13can say with certainty, say that with certainty, I can say that.
- 34:17And so over those years, what's very cool, I'm gonna want to
- 34:21want to just first of all, I want to see see if there's
- 34:22anything that's coming in your in your in your mind from that
- 34:24story, because I want to just give some space and time to
- 34:27talk. You're
- 34:29Alan Carroll: the I'm looking down on the earth from the
- 34:34International Space Station. And all the lights are off in the
- 34:41United States. And when you were talking about it, the flicker of
- 34:48light began to appear. And then more and more light began to
- 34:54appear. And I look at that light Holy Spirit, kind of like divine
- 35:03energy kind of light, which is available when you're able to
- 35:09have mental stability and not get polarized by anything.
- 35:15Because you don't identify with anything. If you identify with
- 35:19something, then you're deep trouble because something's
- 35:21going to change. But if you identify with nothing, then you
- 35:26are calm in the middle of the chaos. And but most people can't
- 35:30give up the some things in order to get to the nothings. And so
- 35:33you had the physical razzmatazz of divine energy shaking you up.
- 35:39And that's really a gift. Because that just accelerates
- 35:41the light that you are, that allows you to shine light,
- 35:44brighter into the world, to create these wonderful
- 35:47architects of spirituality. Beautiful, beautiful. It's also
- 35:53it's time to get get complete here. It's very, very moving
- 35:57story, but I want to give you a chance to complete and then
- 36:01we'll tell the audience how they can get a hold of you.
- 36:04Unknown: Well, Alan, I want to say thank you, I can feel energy
- 36:07speaking inside you. And I feel tears inside as you're talking.
- 36:09Because, you know, I feel now what's opened up in media, I can
- 36:12feel people so deeply. It doesn't matter if they're across
- 36:15the world or right in front of me. And so I can feel you as
- 36:18you're talking in your and you understand what I'm saying. And
- 36:21that means so much to me. And I want to Yeah, so I just love
- 36:27having the conversation. Something that you know, just
- 36:29right now as you're talking, I feel tears coming through. And
- 36:33this is something that I used to block especially as a as a male.
- 36:37But I start I allow this through now. And here's why. In the
- 36:42right before I was wanting to kill myself, I found a book
- 36:46called The Five Regrets of Dying. Oh, what a horrible
- 36:50title. Oh my god, that's so negative. I gotta tell you, this
- 36:53book was life changing. I would have never read that before
- 36:55until I actually wanted to kill myself. In this book this lady
- 36:59describes she spends 30 years in hospice. And she's basically
- 37:02with people on their on their deathbed. In their last few
- 37:07minutes of what they're what they say and their and their
- 37:10regrets in their life. Okay. And if you ever have you read that
- 37:13book,
- 37:14Alan Carroll: not say they say the title again, the five, the
- 37:17the
- 37:18Unknown: Top Five Regrets of Dying. Yeah. And here's what
- 37:23here's what when I this book came to me as I was right before
- 37:27and to kill myself. And let me just share just a few ladies.
- 37:31This is what started. Yeah, this was started changing me because
- 37:33I was someone that was just to reiterate, I was entrepreneur
- 37:37focused, I still love business. But I was focused on my
- 37:40business. I was focused on my money, my car's my house. But
- 37:46what I didn't realize was the things that these people said
- 37:50before their deathbed. And I think if people read this, you
- 37:52just even read the five things they say, it'll move you the
- 37:56first thing. I wish I had the courage to live a life true to
- 38:00myself. Not the life others expected of me. There's many
- 38:06things in that. There's many things but that's what people
- 38:09that's the number one people think people said, I wish I
- 38:11lived the life that was true to me. Now what others expected yet
- 38:15was social construct said of me, not what not what my mom, my
- 38:19dad, not what my husband, but what I wanted, I wish a little
- 38:23had the life that lived the life that I wanted. When you have an
- 38:27experience of almost dying. I had, I feel like I've got the
- 38:31perspective of what it's what it's like to be 9099 102,
- 38:36whatever, whatever it is, and you're about to die, and you
- 38:39know it. And and you go and you you have perspective, it's
- 38:43perspective. So at 4041, I had perspective on the first 41
- 38:49years going, you view, we're not tuned in to what was really
- 38:55magical in this lifetime. You were tuned into the things that
- 38:58were transient. And I started realizing I didn't share love
- 39:04with people. Every time I would talk to like I'm talking to you
- 39:07and I'm tearing up. But I would shut that down before and I
- 39:11wouldn't say what was coming through we stopped the throat
- 39:14chakra from communicating what what spirit in me wants to say
- 39:18to the Spirit and you that's what came through. The second
- 39:21thing is people said I wish I hadn't worked so hard. They go
- 39:24that's that's a funny one. That makes sense. I wish and work so
- 39:27hard this this simple things. The third thing was I wish I had
- 39:31the courage to express my feelings. So like right now in
- 39:35this moment, I can tell you with certainty, Alan, I can feel you.
- 39:39I can feel your being. I don't feel a difference in age. I
- 39:43don't feel a difference in in in who we are as as men. I feel the
- 39:47resonance of of what is in me within you. And I have a love
- 39:52for you and what you do, and I can say that now with certainty
- 39:56but before I couldn't have said that to another man The fourth
- 40:02one was, I wish I'd stay in touch with my friends. The
- 40:05simplicity of that, the simplicity of that when you feel
- 40:08into at 99 or 102, and you're about to leave, to feel the
- 40:13simplicity that in whatever age and current time space reality
- 40:17someone is to feel the simplicity of that. And then
- 40:20number five, I wish I let myself be happier. That was it. None of
- 40:25Nobody said I wish I made more money. Nobody said, I wish I had
- 40:29more achievements. Nobody said, I wish I got the Range Rover,
- 40:33not one person said any of these things. And then I started
- 40:35realizing, Oh, the gift to really know what's important.
- 40:39And this is what I you know, you mentioned mentioned about how to
- 40:42transmit to people. I think in this moment, if people can feel
- 40:46and listen what I'm saying, you start telling the people in your
- 40:49life, who have been there for you that you love them and tell
- 40:52them how you really feel. You don't know the things that you
- 40:54say, they may be coming from from source, and the impact we
- 40:58have on each other. These are the things we remember, you
- 41:01know, the love that we share amongst amongst beings. No one,
- 41:05no one really, no one really cared how big your house was.
- 41:08So. So that was a defining moment that I think feeling that
- 41:15and then moving forward, I now get to coach people. I now have
- 41:20people who are going through his experiences who have no one to
- 41:23talk to. And I go hey, man, I've been there they go. You've been
- 41:26here? Yes. And they go, Yeah, I know what it's like 20 Kill
- 41:29yourself. I noticed like, and they go, how could you talk with
- 41:34me right now know this? And I go because I am you. Because I've
- 41:37been because I let myself dive into it. Because the things
- 41:41you're resisting, it's really this incredible source that's
- 41:45pushing you towards being something so much more than you
- 41:48can imagine. So that first thing you you mentioned just about
- 41:52thoughts. I know with certainty now that I'm not a body. I have
- 41:55a body. Yes, I know. It's certainly now, right? That I'm
- 41:58not a mind yet. But I have a mind You bet. And now, yes, but
- 42:03I also know that I am a a timeless spaceless massless
- 42:08being that I've had cognitions now, doing this several 1000s of
- 42:13times when I say this, coming here, being in this and doing
- 42:18this, I can now feel outside of this time and space. And so when
- 42:22you talked about coming from the space station and looking down I
- 42:26thought man space station like when you go into the in and out
- 42:32of time and space, the space station and the earth and planet
- 42:35all go away. And you start realizing that this thing is so
- 42:38much bigger than our than our finite mind can ever imagine. So
- 42:42there's a few things for you Alan.
- 42:45Alan Carroll: I tell you it's a lot of meat on that bone you
- 42:47designate you gave us I appreciate I appreciate Cody I
- 42:51appreciate your your sharing, sharing sharing the light
- 42:56sharing the light with us today. Thank you very very much for
- 42:59being on the mindful you podcast. It was a very rich rich
- 43:04venture into the the gold mind of love. Very nice. Thank you.
- 43:12Still brings tears to my eyes.
- 43:14Unknown: Yes, I hope so.
