- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying, huh, watchin' throw the ball, we gon' pick it up, you gon' light them hit the hole, you gon' cut it up, you gon' plug them from the long, you gon' put it up, you're the funny savvy hitters put your pants in, don't be lookin' for the rest, you don't don't flag them, keep the hammer on, keep the police tight, you the type you want to win by any means, right?
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: You should look alive, this is trippin' down.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, sir.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_04]: We'll come back to another episode of Chopped Out Podcast.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_04]: I'm your host of Chopped Out Podcast.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_04]: Molly Moe, Jamal Fours.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_04]: AJ is in here, sorry, Adrian.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_04]: You know, he couldn't make it today.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_04]: federal government things.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_04]: You know what the idea of what it is.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_04]: We got a guest in here, Todd McCsay, and a fellow draft analyst, the McCsay show of the wringer.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_04]: Super, super, detail oriented and knowledgeable of, you know, prospects, college prospects and the field things of that nature.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_04]: Todd, many of our pre-says you joined in this man, welcome back.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: to be back.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a minute, but a lot has changed, right?
- 1:35[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of change.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's actually crazy because, you know, I think
- 1:43[SPEAKER_04]: One of your the one thing that you said last season, I was so excited about and it's crazy how our season turned out, AJ, you mentioned getting the Georgia safety and you said it was probably one of the best things because of the like the safety position is one thing but if you can get a talent and the secondary semblance of how the Ravens got Cal Hamilton and change their defense,
- 2:08[SPEAKER_04]: Um, I'm like, I'm all on board for this.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_04]: It's like the best case scenario for Washington is getting a safety.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_04]: And time, one of the worst positions that Washington had this season was in the safety safety position that the DBs, it was terrible.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: The Malachi Starks went on to have a really good rookie year, right?
- 2:27[SPEAKER_04]: He did, um, it's unfortunate for Washington.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and now we're at a position in January on January 8th.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_04]: We're both coordinators.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, our fired.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_04]: Um, We just surprised by that.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_04]: Go ahead.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I would say on the cliff side with how things were even unfolding, uh,
- 2:55[SPEAKER_03]: uh... versus the two years uh... laws make his readers out for him i was surprised i looked at cliff higher as a one-and-done anyways i just think because they came one game away from the superbowl that's what led to the entire staff over all they watches and literally did not lose the individual on the staff
- 3:16[SPEAKER_03]: at all, not even like a, not even like a G-A position coach or anything.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, not even one of those guys.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: So I think because of that extended clips window with Washington, but I always looked at him as a one and done.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_03]: I think that, you know, he's in a space financially where he's still getting paid from Arizona.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_03]: He can kind of have that flexibility.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_03]: I just
- 3:43[SPEAKER_03]: Messaging is coming out towards the end of the season.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little funny, but I also know how these things work with Yeah, you know agents leak in certain information.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_03]: I personally know his agent.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_03]: I know I kind of thinks and wired Yeah, I look at him and somebody wouldn't have thought anybody under the bus to make his client look better That's just my personal take So it's just interesting how that's unfolded now with the DC
- 4:09[SPEAKER_03]: Defence wasn't good last year anyways, so it's just one of those things where it's like Joe with Jr. has been well known as a defensive backs coach in the NFL.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_03]: He's just never got this opportunity to call a place.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_03]: But then I expect the defensive look even worse than what it did last year.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_03]: Hell no, I just thought from a schematic standpoint, but I knew they did not have enough talent to really compete with trying to stop these prolific
- 4:38[SPEAKER_03]: And that's why I would hear with Dan Quinn and Adam Peters returning for year three, which I think is pivotal for their careers, especially Dan Quinn, you know, this is last two rods ahead of coach.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_03]: If you can't make it happen, it's over.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_03]: So that's where it's like, you know, if you put it out, make sure you draft one point.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'm just curious.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: How do these hires change your philosophy and your thought process at number seven because currently you have David Belly as that that pick at seven is your versatile guy that could fit into any scheme plug and play or do you now change your thought process based on the higher to maybe a Caleb Downs or Jared my love or Ruben Bane or whoever the the case might be.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I, Bailey's just just a, an elite past pressure period.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't, I don't, I don't, I think that, that kind of translates to any scheme.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: And now you talk about like a base three, four, four, three.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_02]: I just think the NFL right now is, everything's about being multiple.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: And players that can do multiple things and create personnel flexibility and, you know, down in and down out.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: Ruben Bane, you know, some teams are looking at him as a potential three technique.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: Others think he's kind of a good fit, is that like left defensive end because he's so powerful and strong versus the run.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: He got these up to eight and a half sacks, but really you don't look at him as maybe a double digit sack guy year in and year out, whereas Bailey's not as strong versus the run.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: But my gosh, like his tape is different as a past rusher, and it's speed, it's speed, the power, it's outside, in moves.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: He just explodes up the field.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: So the thing with the, it's interesting looking at the commanders, right?
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: As far as I,
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: Last I look, I don't think they have a second or fourth round pick.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's still there.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's right.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_02]: So you're talking about urgency with that first pick.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_02]: But you're also talking about, hey, what's going to happen with Debo?
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: Do we need a wide receiver?
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a young quarterback that's got to have weapons.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: You've got a wide receiver class with a car and L-Tate from Ohio State, Jordan Tyson from Arizona State,
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: But are they worth the seventh overall pick, you know?
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: And then you look at the edge rushers with Bailey and Bane.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: trying to figure out which one fits best and what you want to do, but also it's just a class that doesn't have that top 10 talent that you feel great about.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's going to be a lot of teams that would like to move back a little bit, especially Washington without that second ground picking without a fourth round pick, trying to recoup some of that that capital if you will.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: So, and then do you want like Kayla Downs is one of the best five football players in the draft.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: And he may not run a four, three, and he doesn't have the, you know, it's not going to be like a Nick Emen worry type deal where he goes and just blows up the combine, but he's still just a damn good football player.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: And so, but we wanted to use the seventh overall pick on a safety when we have these other needs at premium positions like edge and wide receiver.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a lot of holes to fill.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you guys know better than I do, but I look at it.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's like,
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: wide receiver edge, safety, guard even, which I think obviously you can take care of maybe in round three or even round five.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: But this is a huge draft for Washington as we all three of us know.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: And they're going to have to do some maneuvering, I think, to try to accomplish everything they need to accomplish.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: And what do they do in free agency trying to plug some of those holes as
- 8:34[SPEAKER_04]: I think about the so Adam Peters mentioned in his indices and presser that, you know, if the opportunity arises, you know, he will entertain, he didn't even hesitate.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_04]: He'll entertain any trade offers.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_04]: Like if it makes sense, you know, will entertain the trade offers.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_04]: At seven, blue ship prospects, right?
- 8:58[SPEAKER_04]: And your opinion, how many are there in this drive?
- 9:01[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if there's a lot to you, but blue chip is, how many are there?
- 9:05[SPEAKER_04]: And if you had the name, like your top three, top five, what are they, and can they make it to seven?
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: The good news is, if Dante Mord elects to come out in this draft, believe early, he'd be doing it as an inexperienced quarterback coming out of Oregon, unbelievably talented pastor, and with an eye on that 2027 class has a chance to be one of the deepest and best groups ever.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: and like overall, but also especially the quarterback position with Arch and Julian Sayon and and Lenora Sellers and Brendan Sorsby and the list goes on and on, okay?
- 9:48[SPEAKER_02]: So let's assume in Doza and Dante more come out and either order go one two with the Raiders having a need of quarterback and the jets having a need of quarterback.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: So now the draft kind of starts at three.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: So you're talking about three players are going to come off the board, non-quarterbacks.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that there's, I know there's not a, like that depth of blue chip talent in this class, but there are a lot of really, really good football players.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: Arville Reese, the linebacker, who's spent a lot of time at Edge as well.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's a Micah Parsons type career arc where he's transitioning and playing more Edge in the NFL than he even did a college and he played about maybe a third of his snaps
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think he'll be off the board and whether it's, I think it, you know, three to, or four to Tennessee.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: Jeremiah love the running back is an elite talent coming out of Notre Dame.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: So those are two right away that jump off the board.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: Then, then there's a bunch of guys who I would say are kind of a notch below, but in that, in that group I would say, Caleb Downs certainly belongs.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's this two offensive tackles and Francis Maui Noah, who's a right tackle guard type, but we saw some of those guards come off the board really early last year and offensive tackles we thought would kick to guard who wound up staying in tackle so I could see Maui Noah and then and then Spencer Fano from from Utah.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: more athletic, more of a played right tackle, but projects is a left tackle.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: So those are two guys you have to put in the mix.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mentioned the three wide receivers, right?
- 11:29[SPEAKER_02]: Tate, Tyson, and Lemon.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: So those are the kind of, those guys are in that next tier as well.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just looking at the list.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_02]: The edges, I think, are Bailey and Bane.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_02]: Keldrick Fock is another guy who's developing one of the youngest players in this draft class coming out of Auburn, six, seven, two, one, 70 pounds.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: Sac production is not there, but my gosh, he's just scratching the surface.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: I would put him in that next list.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_02]: Kenyan Sadik, it tied in.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: is probably in that next tier, if you will, coming on to Oregon.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: And honestly, that might be it, and then I would kind of get into a third tier.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_04]: One more, one more, it is question, man.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_04]: You Bailey and Bane, it sounds like at seven, those if both are there, it sounds like those are the only two options at age at seven for watching 10 if it made sense or if the cars play out the way they are.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_04]: I'm actually interested in the Bane conversation.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_04]: is and this is just the playoff thing like are you surprised like he's the first two rounds those dominant like dominant he's he's killing it and and I can't wait to see what it looks like obviously this this weekend as well it's been an incredible playoff run for him and it's just two games but like and in terms of the level in which he's elevated or even uh performed for his defense this this that surprised you in any way like whether it's a lot of surprises when
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I wouldn't say surprise, I think probably the more surprising thing, it seemed like a team thing for Miami.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: There was a little bit of a law.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: They lost two games in the middle of the season.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: It seemed like Carson Beck was reverting back to some of his, you know, the turnovers and sloppy play.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_02]: wide receiver injuries, Malachi, Tony, the star freshman, wide receiver kind of went into witness protection for a handful of weeks.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_02]: They just got off to such a great start, right?
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: And you saw against a Notre Dame early in the year, and like this Miami defense was vicious and violent in the versatility.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: They had a couple injuries on the defensive side.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_02]: They had a couple injuries at the offensive, wide receiver.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_02]: And so,
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: For whatever reason, they felt it like maybe it was simply like the season was being ripped away from them and all their aspiration.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: And they refocus and Mario Christopher talks about kind of like a coming to Jesus meeting of like, let's go back and show everyone who we are and that we belong.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever it was,
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: all of a sudden late in the season in like November at some point things clicked and they started playing like they did early in the season and quite honestly the last couple games have been the best two games I think the whole team has played especially in the defensive side so it was just great to see them back with with bane and messador and and Thomas and and um
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: like to array all these guys are playing at the level that we expected and saw early in the season and have kind of even risen their level of play.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_02]: It was fun to watch because Ohio State was being talked about as like two thousand one Miami and like USC with like Baaluga and pushing in those guys and Alabama and like the early 2010s in Georgia all those guys went on to be first round picks and most of them went to the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: This Ohio State team after losing eight draft fix last year, the way that it was playing, but it against opponents that were not at the level of maybe SEC weekend and we got.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: There was a question of is this one of those generational type defenses?
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: And to see Miami go out and outperform that defense on the same field,
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: That spoke volumes to me, and it all starts up front with Bane, and then even Messador opposite him, and I think Messador could be a leader first round pick as well.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's a better peer-passer, I sure.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: But you see, the problem with Bane is short arms, not gonna run a great time, more power-based, so everyone's like, yeah, I just don't know.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I've talked to scouts or like, man, I don't know.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I watch him and I'm like, what don't you know?
- 15:49[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like great football players or great football player figure out a way to maximize what he does best and you give me that dog like that I'm watching the college football playoffs and motivate him and put him in the right position to succeed.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care how like where you deploy him from.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_02]: He's and he just wrecks games and that like to me when you're talking about the seventh overall pick.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: Bailey does the same thing.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: Look at what, I just want to watch the tape for Dante more.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I felt bad at times.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: I felt bad for world who's at the offensive tackle, who's considered an NFL draft prospect.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: I felt bad for more, like, to the point where it happens so fast, so easy.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_02]: that it didn't feel fair, you know?
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: So Bailey and Bane, they're very different players, but they're in a class that doesn't have a lot of that elite talent, like we're not talking about like, you know, the Joe Altz and some of the elite guy, like Miles Garrett and those guys coming out, but they're the best that this group has to offer and they would be top 15 picks and any draft in my opinion.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think we talked about Miami like it wasn't originally one of my questions,
- 16:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm very intrigued in a keen mess of door.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_03]: I think that he should be in the first round.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's getting the knock because of his age, but does he remind you a little bit of like a Daniel Hunter from like an NFL Comps standpoint?
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think, you know, I think D'Neil was a little, remember D'Neil in college was not a great, you know, the finish wasn't great at LSU, you know, he was a good player and he had all sorts of traits.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't a great finisher.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: The thing with Messodores, he's been, he's been the best finisher as a past pressure on that, on that defense and one of the best in the country.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I would say like, if you had a limit, if you said who are the three best just past rushes in this class
- 17:42[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I would start with Bailey, then I would go to, um, I would go to our Mason Thomas for Mokohoma and, and Messodore would those would be the three, and so yeah, I just, I, I really appreciate the way he plays.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: Now, measurables for him and age as you alluded to, like those are going to be questions as we get closer and we start to overthink this process, right?
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: And we tried to nitpick and we find all the things we don't like in these players.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: But then you go back to the tape and you're like this, this dude changes games every single week.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I, I, I, I just want to get into a, a comp space.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: So with like a Jeremiah love, like, so I'm a name, I'm a name, the guys, and I want you to comp them to NFL guys currently.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_03]: So Jeremiah love K. John.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, okay, you said be John.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_02]: Is it be John or be John now?
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_03]: I can't take it man when they guys muster.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: I just know that motherfuckin good Yeah, so so we don't because they don't muster be be John we'll call them for now until he changes it again because of the
- 19:00[SPEAKER_02]: the versatility, how smooth, and then there's a rare instinct that those guys have as runners.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_02]: And I think, and even kind of like the size and just the build.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_02]: You said downs.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: Ed Reed only because of the instincts.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that I've watched a player that has that kind of instincts and is a step or two ahead of every single player in the defense for two straight years.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: And there were eight guys drafted last year and he's always diagnosing before everybody else.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what Ed Reed did.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: Now, Ed Reed had more interceptions.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_02]: Ed Reed was more of a free safety center fielder, right?
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: But those instincts will translate to the NFL.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: Oh gosh, undersized, trying to think of the best under, I know I'm going old school on a couple of these guys, but like a Jason Taylor.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: He looks like a little lean, but he's slippery.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: Um, fluid, athletic.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: just so instinctive has that like violent at the top of his rush, like one quick violent move whether with his hands or outside in, you know, like Jason Taylor used to just be so disruptive and felt like he was just too much to handle athletically.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_03]: And the wild card, I personally don't think that any wilder series to go in the top 10, but Jordan Tyson just just for our our Washington fans, they're talking about
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: you know Jordan Tyson as being a great addition to go alongside jayton there you was well deep-oast the company gets a lot okay I would argue he's not quite as like
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's got that kind of big, big running back build, if you will, like, but taller.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's really good after the catch.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_02]: The thing I've seen with, and I think some of the, you know, Debo can be inconsistent, especially early on with, like, the ball skills and stuff.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_02]: But he went from dropping almost 10% of his passes in 2024, Jordan Tyson did, to like a 1.2 drop rate this past year.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: And like outside of LASIC surgery, the only way I know how you can fix that is just working your ass off, you know, like jugs machine, like all of it.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: So I appreciate that about Jordan Tyson's game.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: Now, like with Debo, there's wear and tear.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think Jordan Tyson's miss like 14 games due to injury.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_02]: And so as we get closer to the process and, you know, the actual draft in April and you're starting to compare what what Carnell Tate is, what McIlemon is, you know, the durability aspect is going to play play a little bit of a role in that I would suspect.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_04]: I got one more for you, Todd.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_04]: May it round.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, with third round pick, you're still in the top 100 to some extent.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_04]: Watch the Denise separator.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, you already mentioned you don't know what's going to happen to Debo, I think Debo gone AJ still leaves it up for opportunity.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_04]: You may come back.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_04]: But we ain't got no tight in.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, Zach Irz, isn't he's gone?
- 22:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_04]: And he's trying to up there and age.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_04]: I don't expect him to come back.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_04]: Let alone be ready for week one.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_04]: But you need a versatile tight in.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_04]: I got time for you.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_04]: There we go.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: Kenyan Sadik is going to be the only first round tight in this year.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: Then there's going to be, remember last year with the running backs, like a couple went and then we got to like the fourth round and it was like, I think 25 or no, maybe it was a 19 running backs went from like the beginning around four to the end of the draft, right?
- 22:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that the run will wait to happen until the fourth round with the tight ends, but maybe in the third, you know, potentially early day three there's two two tight ends that I think are going to be underrated.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_02]: Michael Trigg from Baylor has all the tools.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: Tall, massive hands, one hand a geek and just type Google his name and you'll see some of the highlight catches.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's a guy who, you know, as a blocker's, yeah, but his ability to, as like a number two tight end who come in the league and stretch the field and do some things down the field.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's very intriguing.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_02]: Jack Andries from Texas.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_02]: Think about Gunner Helm last year, right?
- 23:30[SPEAKER_02]: kind of bursts on the scene.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's Mr.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: Reliable, doesn't run well.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: Looks like you got shot in the Achilles.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: Running is 40, I don't mean to laugh.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: But I remember watching it, I know he's not fast, but what is going on?
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: And then he shows like the video that night of him with a great fruit in his ankle, something happened, you got injured.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: But he never had, he was probably like a four, seven, five guy to begin with, right?
- 23:57[SPEAKER_02]: Andrews stepped in, came in from, was he a cow transfer, I want to say, and he, and he's had a big year for Texas, but they've got all these weapons, right?
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: They've got, they've got more, they've got, Wingo, they've got Livingston, all these different white receivers, but when you watch him, the difference with him is, well, reliable.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: He runs like a 463.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm interested to see what he runs.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: But I think he could be Helm was a fourth round pick.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say Andrews is a third fourth.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's a guy who can get down the field and do more.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think in the NFL, then he didn't college and looked and Helm like everyone wrote them off because he didn't run well and he's just not like physically.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: But he has, I don't know, what is catch told O'Wine up being, but he was like one of the two or three most productive rookie tight ends in the league this year.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_03]: before we get out here.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_03]: Last question, because we have like a, a sector fans that always latches onto a guy, whether it be the table or hi-to-key, is the same house.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_03]: Now we have like the Luke McAfrey's and Ben Senna's of the world.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_03]: What did you think of those two?
- 25:11[SPEAKER_03]: coming out of their specific draft classes and have you paid attention to anything that they've done NFL-wise, I mean, Vincent, it probably has nine cases.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_03]: Maximum.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_03]: When are 11?
- 25:24[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, have you paid attention to any of the things that they've done thus far in the NFL and did they match up with how you view their draft profiles coming up?
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I don't get the Simmons love as much, you know, um, McAfrey, like, it was intriguing because I think it's last name.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but I also think he was a quarterback transition to wide receiver, right?
- 25:55[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: So he was a guy that you there was hope because he had.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: In limited play and receiver he looked like he was kind of tracking to keep elevating.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_02]: So I kind of, I got that and I've followed what he's done, but at the end of the day, let's, like, fine, if he can stay healthy and continue to develop like, as a number four or five, I'm good.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_02]: But you get small windows in the NFL, right?
- 26:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm looking at Josh Allen, for example, he's superhuman.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_02]: But there's a cap on what they can do offensively.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: Patrick Mahomes, it was the deal for a while.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_02]: There was a cap that they could do for a couple of years and they still won Super Bulls.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get these guys weapons, you know?
- 26:43[SPEAKER_02]: And it doesn't need to be a lot, but it's got to be more than Debo at the end and Terry coming off, obviously the year he's having, but hopefully he bounces back.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get some youth, some speed, some difference makers.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_02]: Jaden's got a chance to be special, man.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_02]: We've got to give him an opportunity to do that.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_02]: That would be, yes, we need Edge Rush, or yes, we need a safety.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I've got to find a way to get him guys that can help, like, with some three yards quick games, some different stuff, and then wait and pop.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: But who's he going to pop the ball vertically to that that would be my think and whether it's a tight end as well.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like let's get some more difference makers to go with this special talent so that we give him the best opportunity to flourish right.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_04]: basically is it's time stop bullshitting.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: You said it not me, but I'm not just doing.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, it's all man.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_04]: I appreciate you for taking the time out this morning.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, to toss on draft game for Trapper Dive and the commander's fans.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_04]: I know I mentioned your podcast.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_04]: I want to give you the floor just to plug anything and everything else you've got going on or during the most important part of the season for you, man.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it is for us at least.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: I would just say Google the McShay report.

- 28:06[SPEAKER_02]: All sorts of buzz.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yesterday, we did a quick reaction thing to Ty Simpson coming out at quarterback and the third quarterback that could go in the first round.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of my baby.
