- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: And oh, I did that wrong.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he must have froze.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he froze.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: Let me take him backstage for a second while I do this.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: Um, oh, boom.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: They go straight.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go ahead and try to see.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: What's up?
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: You hear me?
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, sir.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: What's up, Larry?
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: How you feeling?
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm good man.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's game week.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, I couldn't be better.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: This would have been waiting for a brother.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, man.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's a game week.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait either.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: And it's crazy because we don't have to really wait till Friday to get some some really good updates about the team.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: And that's that's kind of the most important thing.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, bro.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: I want to say why I say it for the all thirty two, so that's cool.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: No biggie.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, let's go on again to the show.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, they should be loading back or reloading up soon.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: Today for Washington was an off day, a travel day for the team.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: So we didn't see too much or get too many updates about Washington at all today.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there was a report from Diana Rosini.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, Terry.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know if it was a report.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: I got a double check.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it was a report, but more so an understanding from her conversations.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I'd have to find it again.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: But just a conversation that she uncovered that Terry is not necessarily looking for an exact deal or better with DK in terms of his contract demands or what he actually earned from his contract, but more so like some similarities within the contract that he desires in his negotiations on his side of negotiations as well.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that's about it today.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm not, if I'm not mistaken, Jerry is there.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, of course, we're going to talk about New England, the joint practices and obviously.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, the game is well, but I don't think we had any other like new news outside of like a Terry conversation from receiving.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the thing, outside of football, you know, the only distraction or anything else we're talking about is Terry's money, your Terry's and pending deal.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, that Diana Rossini report now, you know, the tax crime is not the guy.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that whole tax thing is what threw me off now.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I got a feeling that it's somewhat true, but it just part of me just do it as I want to believe that's true, because I think that's such a ridiculous thing for Terry and his camp that go into the negotiation standpoint.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: going well, you know, I played with Taylor Heineck, he I played with, you know, ten different quarterbacks and you ought to pay me for that.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: I really hope that's not what Terry's like side is kind of gripping about them.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: They don't feel respected because they're not getting paid for who they played with in the past.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's ridiculous because like I said on X earlier today, Terry's not going to go anywhere else and tax any other franchise.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: Why would he tax us like that?
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, we always hear about the hometown discount, like he's hometown price galgenous if that's true.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: So just to clear it up, because I was bit blown a lot, was trying to find the exact quote, but she said, I know there's some talk out there that terrible clone is looking for an identical contract to DK Metca if I heard the period.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: I heard there's parts of that contract that he's looking for that doesn't necessarily mean he wants the exact APY.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: So not exactly
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: The average salary that DK commands with his contract, but he also, she was also on J.P.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: Finley showed today and said that.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody feels good that this is going to get done.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's just when in how do they land there.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: She believes that nobody is going to trade for Terry.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: She said, yes, he has for a trade, but does anybody really think he wants to go somewhere else?
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: And I kind of think that's kind of obvious, but at this point where this
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: We hope the team holds the leverage at this point right now in negotiate.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: So if anybody's going to cave, it's going to be Terry.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: And if he's going to go out there, like let's say the team does, go out there and grant permission to seek a trade somewhere else.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: I guarantee you that no other team out there is going to offer Terry, whatever his probable asking price is on top of happen to give a assets form.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: And when you have to factor in the age, all that comes into place.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why I'm just kind of confused that's the whole disfold tax conversation, the Washington tax conversation and how Terry feels disrespected.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: And to be honest with you, I do think there's something there.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: Because last week on X, one of his boys was literally spilling the beans saying, all of those kind of, you know, why is those?
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: Terry played with this Terry did this for the franchise.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Terry did this and they just suspected Terry.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so it let's me know that he has people in his ear telling him you you your own this you should get this.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, a lot of the fans are saying this, too.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like he should get this.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't he shouldn't be.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: He shouldn't be influenced by that.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: I know what you're saying.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: But everybody close to you, all of everybody you trust around you was telling you, man, all, you know, just that if they're you get done dirty, eventually those seas get planted any sprout.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: So you know what I'm saying?
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think they sprout in the Terry's head to the foot with he feels disrespected.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's a word he actually used out of his own mouth.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think he said that at the Eastern Motors, a little press conference that he had.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: He feels disrespected.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that the rise from some of that noise that's in his ear that this team didn't do you right they didn't give you this they didn't offer you this they're disrespecting you and a lot of a fan base feels that way too.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean a lot of worry in my mentions today.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: So you know, I see it out there March on.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: Let's check it into the podcast with a march on.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why that lady said that today.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_02]: She was black.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_02]: She was black.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I couldn't even say all black people look the same.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, I, Brad, for those who are missing it, somebody, somebody on line, somebody on line, he said on line, somebody say, he looked like Martian Lynch.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I mean, you know, everybody gets comparisons.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: What's up with you, though?
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, Drake, what did they say during the season last year, mall looked like?
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: Damn, I forgot.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: It was it was.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: See.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody was mad.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think that's?
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, somebody somebody tried to cook me.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: Where he was a giant fan of some shit kept coming into the chat.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: Or a bear's fan, one of them.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, man, I'm a good man.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, we got to talk about this Terry contract.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_02]: So again.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: I thought I wasn't much.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: I got too much to say.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I just feel like, and everyone's so optimistic as far as, like, inside of us, that it's gonna get done.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: Why the hell hasn't it gotten done yet?
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I mean, DK signed his deal, like the second week of March, where we're almost at the halfway mark of August.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like, either you tried to go to another team or you just agreed in terms with what was in his presenting you, but to try to go
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: Over the amount of what the market dictates because the market dictates at his age, twenty five million at the max.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: You go me.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like if we're going to go over the stage as you remember, is it.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_02]: He did say a six CD land.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, if you if you want.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: them to go that far over the market.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: You kind of got to do that with everybody that's succeeding within the system and the scheme.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have to go over with Lermie Tunds rule.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: It marks on a lot of more hits, you know, where you expect them to be.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: You have to go over with him.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: Debo Samuel, like Frankie Louvre, you're just creating a wave of unnecessary madness.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just like, boy, I have not heard Terry McClellan's name mention this much in my life.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: uh you know what this hold out like if it wasn't for this hold out would have never heard his name mentioned this much and I think what is truly going on is he feels like he's elite but uh but and NFL like
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: communities, as far as like executives and stuff like that, they don't review them as being the lead.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like, yes, the reality is his friends, also his representation could have set him up for failure, making him feel like he was gonna get, you know, similar numbers to what DK got, but the reality is the extension wouldn't kick in until you've got to be thirty one.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_02]: So it just doesn't make sense, but I just hope that in some type of
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: and then is in play sooner than later.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: Even this morning I see Mike time to bomb say like because I guess the argument Dan O'Lasky had created was Terry McCorn is so much more needed to the team than Michael Parsers.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: And Mike time to bomb was like, no, you know, I'm in a lot of receivers have got traded amongst the NFL ranks and he was like, easily move on from Terry McCorn.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: and sign a key in Allen and still be in the same situation.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I just feel like, I'm in the same boat, not necessarily came down.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: But a Mark Cooper, like, I've seen with Jay the Lincoln Distress of Food, not the say he's going to be Terry McClellan, but he can stress the food.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I just want Terry to get himself in the best position because the worst thing that could happen is if they do agree to something and now, by the time he returns, it's too late to really get those reps in.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_02]: And now he's forced to play week one and they get injured.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: You feel like you're running close to not being able to get into football shape.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_02]: And it takes a while to get into football shape.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what's going to happen with this situation, but I just hope that it brings some type of clarity for the fans, because I'm just tired of hearing the arguments, tired of hearing people put together, projected contracts, tired of hearing some people within the media locally speak on.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: He should just do this.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like, why does he just say that?
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: Well, shit, if it was that easy, it would have been done.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: So when someone speaks of like,
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that kind of answers your question earlier.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: You said why, why is it taken so long?
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like Terry Terry any sign with when Washington put an I'll do.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: She's not, she's not happening right now.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, like, you mentioned the downover scenes.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like, if anybody's going to break it and tear him a coin, it was going to be Jordan Schultz.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like, that's just what it is.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: You can see what he got.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to say.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's the question.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: What's the alternative, like, in, you know, I know you mentioned it in and that you, you've been noticing it so people
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see any alternative realistically other than Terry playing for this team this year.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if an extension hobby I do think that an extension eventually happens, but even if it doesn't worst case scenario is that Terry will be playing this year.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know, whether it's just for this one year or whether it's going to be an extension because Terry can not afford to sit out a whole year.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even think Terry wants to miss any games because, you know, you don't want to come in to meet season, you know, kind of, you know, just late coming in, whatever.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think when game one week one starts whether Terry has a deal of math, he's going to be playing for this team.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason I'm saying that is because the only other option would be Terry just trading.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think that helps the team in any kind of way.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, the team holds all of leverage.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: And that's Terry McCorn.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: So why would the team go out and shoot themselves in a foot, except some lesser deal in a trade for Terry McLean, whereas otherwise he's going to play for you because you know he's he can not afford to miss a season and if he misses a season if I'm correct me if I'm wrong, but that means his free agency thing resets, right?
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't be afraid to get a crew here, you don't get a crew here.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I just think you never know how much someone feels like they're being respected.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like mentioning previous regimes and things that have been through, you got compensated for that.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: So to now put the owners on Josh Harrison company.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: to pay you for something that they had nothing to do with.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_02]: It is insane.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's really you're getting.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's the one thing I don't like what you could do last season and what you're going to do in the future and.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: Why aren't you a Mac paper.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't I don't get that.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: You got compensated.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying like I don't understand why you're old back pay for for like past transgressions If this is accurate and it seems to be accurate given like his his presser at the the little ad then Eastern Eastern Motors like the way he was talking like his tone I Just don't I never understood that and it's like even with the message with people that like with the the emotions the fans side with the emotions tied to who is all in on Terry being every sign
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: like that's not a stable foundation to say like everything that he's been through.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's true, but does it apply?
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think it applies right now.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think that's fake.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't think that's a good faith argument period.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter because like if the market, if we keep talking about what the market dictates the market dictates the max, twenty five million.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_02]: And we also just see in courtland sign, courtland setting sign for something.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_02]: less than that right into market dictates that why are we pushing ourselves up for for what reason?
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like it just makes no sense.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: So even trying to keep comparing yourself to B.K.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: Mecca, who I know is at home.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: and wondering why the hell is my name in your mouth so much, you hear me?
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like in a sense, because like that's the comparison we keep drawing to is like, brother, you're not twenty seven years old.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_02]: You're not six four.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: You're not six three.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you're not six four.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: You don't run a four three at two hundred and thirty panels.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: And that team also traded for this person.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: So they were forced to pay whatever contract is that they wanted.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just like to compare yourself as is insane.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: I just really don't know what's going to happen.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that maybe some public news would come out that they allowed her permission.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_02]: to talk to other teams, I think that's the key thing.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: If money is, if money is what you want, and you feel like that's what provides you your respect.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: Cool.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: I understand where you're coming from, Jerry, like, what's the compensation?
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: Because you may not get a player in return.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's where I was just like, I keep seeing the back and forth between, like, Tariq Hill and Miami Dolphins, and I've seen them
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: somewhat clean house of guys like Jim and Ramsey, John and Smith, move on from a John Highland stuff like that where it got me thinking like, yo, just do a swap, a terrible coin for Tariq and maybe y'all do something traffic wise and it's like you get a better play, you get a lead guy.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_02]: And when one team meets the benefits of having a better locker room guy in the sense for what they went in there because obviously the the the partnership between two of the time we get a necessary work in Washington still get a dynamic while receiver that adds even more to this offense.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's the only thing that I could see at this point outside of that.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, a job figuring necessarily going to help you at this point, but Washington has all the leverage in there in the hands.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no, bro.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just, I'm just tired of talking about saying, AJ.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_02]: And the reason why I'm tired of talking about him is because he's not a lead.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, now, AJ, I thought about your earlier day because I was listening to the sports radio on my way home.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: And a caller called into the station.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: He was serious too.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: He said, he had a trade proposal.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: And he wanted to see if the, the, the host thought that it was, you know, a good trade proposal.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: His proposal was Terry McClure and to the Detroit Lions.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: for Jainus and Williams, a second round pick at a fifth round pick.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, Detroit will hang up the damn phone on us with that offer.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's the one I do think Jainus and Williams said it.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: And that's your boy AJ, but I don't think they can get it.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you can get a second round pick for Terry's a stand-alone.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: Let alone add in a Jainus and Williams at a fifth round pick.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: If you can use it for one or third round.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: If you use Terry for rental, would you do it?
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: If you're in a position like Detroit or any other team that can use a receipt, like Pittsburgh, apparently there was a report.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know who the guy was.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: I checked him out in the moment.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot his name.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: But he sang like he covers the scene and he said that Pittsburgh inquired about Terry and like I can imagine like them using Terry for a year as a rental, but like if you're in a position like Detroit, I don't see why you wouldn't, I'd be interested.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I get that, but that compensation note.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: James in a second round thinking a fifth round thing.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, that's a lot, because I would just be happy to take you for a second round pick right now.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: Not even just James of Leaves.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm trying to remember like the last little wide receiver trays that we had going on, like what was like the highest compensation.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't think step on days probably went for like a what a third or fourth.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: something interesting.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I can't I can't really remember.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't really think that Terry McClellan, especially at his age and contract that would be needed.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: We're probably garnered more than a third round pick.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like I just can't I just can't see anything higher than that unless a team is like severely desperate.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, Jerry, you know, I love James and William.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's my favorite.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's one of my favorite players in the league.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: A money ball doesn't agree.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: AJ, you say he's a one trick home.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, if the Jamison Williams had a fit me three receptions for a thousand yards and seven touchdowns last year.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: So if you're one-trick pony, I'd say that.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: And he only played in like eleven, twelve games.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: So, so I mean, that's huge numbers.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he's a one-trick pony.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: I definitely know that he can run the raw tree.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen it with my own eyes.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, at the end of the day, Detroit just uses him in different ways, but
- 21:02[SPEAKER_02]: to go back to the same McCoyon situation.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_02]: I just hope that those that keep feeling.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: Matter of fact, let me ask this question to you guys and also those who are watching.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: If you are amongst the bus bunch that is optimistic, this gets done, what is keeping you still optimistic?
- 21:24[SPEAKER_02]: Is it just
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: the fact that you feel like Terry doesn't have any leverage at all, or is it also the fact that a lot of these deals in these situations typically take this long to get done?
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: For me, I think it's a combination.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, I think it's both.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think the team has all the leverage.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I also think that Terry is probably going to start, you know, maybe Terry's aging acquires around what is his value.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if they've done that again, a lot of this stuff has it been transparent.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think Terry eventually sees that, you know, I'm not going to get what I'm kind of demand that out of this franchise anywhere else.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: And also he I think there's some emotions that have to get taken out of this right now I think Terry has a lot of emotions in this and I get it Terry's been here for a long time Terry feels the type of way now imagine when I say all of these things I don't want anyone taking this as a fashion Terry or I feel any kind of way
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: No, I can have an objective conversation about Terry and I want Terry back.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: But I didn't want Terry playing anywhere else.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: I want Terry to retire here.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_01]: But we can have an objective conversation about Terry.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: So my thing is yes, I do believe that he's going to eventually maybe take a little bit of a emotions out of it.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think the team is going to be out here trying to really purposely stiff Terry.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is this is an organization that we get no indication that they treat their players or anybody wrong.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is the organization that has run everything professionally up to this point.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: So for me to keep hearing that they're doing Terry wrong or they're doing Terry dirty.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't buy into that because these guys just don't seem like they were one of business by doing people the day and snider way.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: The way we kind of got used to in a sense.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think they just want to be able to make sure this team is set up to the point where this is a beneficial deal between player and team.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: Not just the team or not just the player.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: Terry is at a certain point where he's like
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm up here and you guys are kind of down here and I feel disrespected.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: But I think once the emotions get taken out of it, Terry comes down a bit.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I already see it kind of coming down a little bit with Terry.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: And also to get point AJ these things do take time.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I mean, we've seen this in San Francisco.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_01]: Adam, he just operated in San Francisco.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: Trent Williams was holding out for a deal and didn't get signed to what one week before the game in September when he signed his extension in San Francisco.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: And we're not even in close to September right now.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: We still got the whole month of August to go.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I do think these things take time and I do still have optimism and confidence.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: This is going to get done because again, like I actually earlier in the conversation, what is the alternative right now?
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: The only alternative right now is the view traitary, which I don't think that you're going to get great value for at this point in the season, which has that beneficial to the team and holds all the leverage.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: and the only other alternative outside of that is Terry sitting now games, which he can't afford to do at his age when he's looking for a his last big payday in the NFL.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you actually already asked this question, like literally like a week or two ago.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have too different, too much of a difference from Jerry's.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: I just think that Washington, I mean, both sides on a position where they do
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: is nuanced, but they do need each other.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: And they definitely need each other for sure this year.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: And Terry needs them for what Jerry mentioned whether or not he's here next year or not he needs them this year because he's looking to get paid regardless if he doesn't get extended All right, but then watch the ten knees them because if you're talking about trying to win a Superbowl I don't care anybody else say because AJ's in AJ's in his boat like you're not win a Superbowl without Terry and you can you can you can make the playoffs.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not on the lanals shit like you make an appeal you can make the playoffs without Terry
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: In terms of, like, Super Bowl contention, you need your dogs.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: And by those are kind of your best shots of winning it.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: That's new on Stu.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: But why am I optimistic?
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: I just think that this is something that both sides want done.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: Washington knows that they want Terry, they acknowledged it verbally.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: And while those sometimes can be aroused and just public talking and being political,
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I think that they mean it.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think that they're very aware who they're talking about.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: Um, in terms of like the perception from the fan base and, you know, well, let's see.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but I just think they, they really, they both both sides when each other.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: Um, all right, let's get into the, the week that is right now.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, the New England Patriots, Washington, like I said, was on a travel day.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: They are in New England starting tomorrow.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: And joint practices are going on tomorrow.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's one practice because I'm pretty sure they have an update on Thursday before the game will Friday.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: What I'm interested in is because we can talk about with so many other pieces like from the starters or even the hot names, the hot topic names and the rookies like Bill Krosky mirrored and Jalen Lane.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Josh Connelly has had a quiet start to training camp, right?
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: Cliff King's very spoken to him in his pressure on Monday.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: He mentioned how the transition
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: from left sides of right side.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't say of our bait on, but he's just mentioned how like, you know, he's he's learning a new position and you know, things like that is going to take time.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: From the reports of the beat reporters.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's just mentioned, you know, he's, he's had his struggles and various ways in which they're seeing things, you know, you know, take that for what is worth.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: But they just say he's struggling, like, it's not all perfect and like, is it supposed to be all perfect?
- 27:25[SPEAKER_00]: No, but at the same time, the joint practices and even on Friday, which I'm sure he'll get, I think that's what he'll need the most is like the live reps in-game.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's something that I think, like this is a very big week for a Josh Connelly who has not been a standout comparatively speaking to like Bill or Jayling.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: or trade animals, excuse me, defensively, but yeah, you get to give them a second.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, Josh Connelly meant, I mean, I've been listening to some of this stuff too.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm all in a lot of this stuff is kind of up and down, but also what you hear when you listen to some of the people talk about Connelly is, this is kind of what they expect at him to be, you know, given his development.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, even at Oregon, we had the talks of after the draft that
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: He's a guy that probably should have stayed in college for one more year and he's a top-fat pickup he does.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, he's going to be in a fail and he's going to be getting this development.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he's going to be a guy that, you know, not necessarily comes out to get, you know, being your, you're looking right tackle or whatever they want.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: They see him as.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: But I think he's a guy that's going to get gradually better as the season goes on like even this rookie season.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't expect him to come out, you know, being a dominant guy with one beat two.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: He meant I need to start those pieces.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Andrew Wilde.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: But I do expect them when he gets this opportunity.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to learn.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to work.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: And you see Larry me tons of while they're working with them every practice.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: And what I like about Josh Connolly is when I see him, he's looking to soak up the knowledge of those vets.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's not one of those arrogant youngness that's coming in and thinks he knows everything.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't have to listen to anyone.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's willing to sit out there listening to those vets.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's willing to soak up that knowledge.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: And another thing when I look at him,
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: He looks like a little boy in a grown man's body.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, yeah, just go to show you how young Josh Connolly is.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, you got a kind of tempered expectations with him.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now, when he does, I believe, you know, comes into what he supposed to come into, I do think he's your book in tackle.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: Now, he can end up being your book in a left tackle at some point.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we made to be planning a right tackle for however long we have learned the tons of here.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, learn me as an expert.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: Tackles can play well into their thirties, but commonly I do think there's a guy that's going to be able to play both sides at some point.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: But for now, I do think some of those growing pains in those adjustments are dudes are playing the right tackle when he's used to playing that left side most of his college career.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: So he just has, I think what we're hearing about him, like nothing to me honestly has been surprising.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't hear anything that's really detrimental, like the struggles that are kind of normal, especially for office of life and especially for guys that come in a little bit more raw than some of the guys that people like like the Justin Simmons who were experienced, not Ohio State.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I keep liking this to, you know, back to the whole NANDRA.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, something we're kind of experienced, but when you had the Trent Williams versus Russell Oakham talk,
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now a lot of people were shocked when the race gets drafted, Trent Williams at the time, because all of the topples on Russell Oakham was the experienced tackle.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he was the guy that everyone thought was going to be that dude.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: And when Washington made the picture Trent Williams, people were surprised.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, but what we knew about Trent Williams was he was an athletic beast.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: He was still kind of working it to his own, and he became what we know of today.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I'm not saying Josh Connelly is going to be Trent Williams, but
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: We kind of hear some of those same profiles about him.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's the athletic guy.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's a little raw.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's younger.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when you think about, you know, in comparison to a Justin Simmons who was the more experienced guy, you kind of know what you're getting to say for that.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: So I do think we got to give Josh a little bit of time.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, like I said, dude, it's super young, but some of the things that I like to see already out there, like the work ethic, the soaking and the knowledge and everything.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think Josh is going to be fine.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think that the expectation should be high for him early.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I think, expectation of course is there because you're a first round pig.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_02]: You feel me and especially when you send on the board, you had defensive ends such as down to the Azoraku out of Boston College and my green out of Marshall.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, out of Marshall on the board.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: with Josh Connelly, Jr.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_02]: of course, we're not in practice each and every day.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think let's see him play in these preseason games.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: Let's judge him based on these preseason games.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't think we'll get a lot of time.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: Andrew, don't need.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to say, I'm sorry.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: Who would have picked his edge versus the agent?
- 31:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think they played like they played three four so like one of the guys that he could be picked up to do from Sarah Tennessee.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think her own injury over there.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: Oh very good injury.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_02]: You got you got a key on white.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember exactly who all is over there and you win, but I just feel like it'll be some good bump.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: for him in this preseason general going against different guys whether that be you know the the bans or the ravens he'll get to go get some my green he'll get to go get the kids can't wait yeah milling Williams you did mention bought more which is actually really good because that's they got joined practices against them in a couple weeks but yes but milling Williams can't wait
- 32:41[SPEAKER_00]: Where's the dude I just mentioned on Harold Landry and honestly like those are probably just I'm not going to go through any other names, but those are like here big three.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, I just, yeah, I think it's just a good opportunity for him to get these good bumps and these joint practices and also just in the in the game.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think hopefully they they play them a lot at right tackle in these preseason games.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think you know what you're getting from an Andrew Wally, right?
- 33:10[SPEAKER_02]: The main reason why you went in the choir to Josh kindly in the draft.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_02]: is because of the athleticism, you want to be able to get down ill faster in the rune game and the screen game.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe you do rotation, like how they did last year with, uh, was it, um, dang, what was his name?
- 33:31[SPEAKER_02]: You think it, uh, Cornell is looking, Cornell is looking just in the corner.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I think.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I think.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's easy.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: It was kind of on the point.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of think they should do that on that side.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: If they're undecided because like Brandon Coleman was was actually good enough to enter like that rotation status going into the season.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: But that's also because he actually looked good in training camp and then he got hurt.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_00]: So they was trying to face him in regardless, but,
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: He ain't in that same boat right now, like he ain't looking as good or as sharp as this.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, with Goldman look last year, so that's also something to think about.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: But what are the negatives that they're saying about currently that I guess all over the place, bro?
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think on lots of, it really is all over the place.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like some people say, some people say like technique wise, he's been in that the way, so like he's reaching out with his arms.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: Um, not strong enough or like quickness is beat them like depend on who you ask they'll get you a whole different reason than the other person.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I don't know the truth, but just the overall, some, some summarization or summation is that he's just like not sharp, but he still, look, he looks like a rookie.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, and I mean, like Jerry said, he's adjusted from primarily being a left side group or right side group.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: Some people make it sound like it's it's so much easier to do like it's mad anywhere you just put any office alignment anywhere and they don't play the same, but it's not as easy.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_02]: So we had to give him the opportunity and just to that fully.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, get his place ready for as well as a young dude.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_02]: If I'm not mistaken, he's twenty one.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: He's twenty one.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: He's still growing into his body.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_02]: He's still growing into his frame.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I just think that I'm not going to judge him until I actually see him in live reps.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: against like other defense.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, other defenses and preseason games because like, I mean, the time that I was at training him, I didn't see anything that was like, oh, this dude has asked, you know me.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I think I'm just judging solely based off of the preseason game.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think he has the opportunity to go against some good bump.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: from different coordinators and players on the opposing side.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_02]: Some guys that are athletic, some guys that, you know, will use the long arm.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: I just think that he'll be in a great position because I honestly wouldn't want Washington to start the season off with Andrew Barley at Wright's Agile.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_02]: I would feel like
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: I would feel like that's kind of like being bamboozled in the sense.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: Even if they do do a rotation, I just think, I want continuity for this office as like, I don't want them to be doing the on bed for principally or things.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want that bro.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think that is important for this group to be able to play together, same thing with like Sam Cosby, hearing about him possibly being able to start week one.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if that's going to happen, let's make sure that happens week one, that he's prepared, you know, going into the last few practices before week one, so that he can build continuity with beyond issue, whoever's going to be in right tackle while you're currently junior and everybody else.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's just my main thing.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like the fact that Brandon Coleman's hurting him.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like the dude is hurt again.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: I can't I have to look it up.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe somebody in the chat can help me.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what he got nicked up just now or recently, but he may not have made the trip to New England all together.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't seen anything that confirmed he did or didn't yet as we're recording this, but like he's heard again.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: And like once you get the bug brand and everything that you get behind you, we don't know his injury.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: Um, well, they mentioned that.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I gotta find it.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you know what did concern me?
- 37:49[SPEAKER_02]: I realized that this team does not have a backup center.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen Michael Deeter.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's still on the roster.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_00]: Lower body injury.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_00]: He was seeing limping, but the severity is unknown.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_00]: So that's trying to shout out to AI.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: Where all I had to do is put in a brand and call me and Andrew, they did the work for me.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so a lower body injury, it wasn't confirmed on what exactly it was, but he got hurt in Saturdays practice.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: down.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's an important.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was going to say, Deeter is the backup, man.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be a good one, but they do have a backup.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: And then we signed them, so they like something about them.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand that I actually had this conversation yesterday, like I didn't understand why they resigned as good to the so trash last year, but I don't understand why they put them on the field.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_00]: And then like
- 38:43[SPEAKER_00]: It was so bad where you avoided them like, they started using on Trent Scott and at Gard or whatever it was like, yeah, because, you know, trust guy becoming a guard because he was filling in the guard as well.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I like date theater was a afterthought, like he didn't even
- 39:01[SPEAKER_00]: You write, I don't want to see a theater though, period.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_00]: I write that you cut him and size my own just to give him a chance if I got to watch a theater.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_00]: I can't do it.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so we don't know what's going on with Colman, but again, another injury for him.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's unfortunate.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're all on the same page with Connor Lee's just give him time, but also like let him play the entire preseason.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: I do have another thing that I am very interested in seeing this week mainly tomorrow, but I want to get y'all to floor like what's something that's on y'all mind before I get to my maybe I even say it but like what's something that's on y'all mind at y'all that's trying to see tomorrow.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm enjoying practice or even Friday during the game.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I want to see Patriot's wide receiver such as stuff on bigs, Kyle Williams, Kenji Born and the rest of that group against Washington's cornerbacks.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_02]: Especially when to see stuff on against Amos and Marsha on Maddenmore.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: You took your first go.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_00]: That was.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we get some good bump in that.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_02]: I know how how lively stuff on can be.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_02]: how live, we are so emotional.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's literally worth a word.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like, did you see Martin?
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: I was about to do that too, so don't feel ashamed.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't, I don't know.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I don't know, try Amos personality, but I know stuff on.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to be talking to the shit out there, so that's definitely what I want to see.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see how Kyle Williams still does his thing.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_02]: from that standpoint.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: And then, you know, I also want to see how Debo, Jeremy Jalen Lane, and Luke McAfrey and the rest of that, why we're seeing what we're going to do against their defense events, even if Christian's resolve is not going to be participating due to his injury.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_02]: I still just want to see them go against other competitions because we're not going to get the CD disorders and the preseason game on Friday, but I definitely want to see
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: I definitely want to send all the one on one is with, you know, the wire receivers and type in groups of both sides of the ball.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's going to be very, very entertaining tomorrow.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: Look for me since I mean, I wasn't good at rapid.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: I did have a backup plan.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: And mine is building.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm really interested to see how Bill shows up against other competition.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I say this because I'm in full conspiracy theorist mode.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I know preseason death charts don't mean any damn thing and it's fine.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: They don't, but it's something to talk about right now.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: They had a list that is fifth on the death chart, which I already know is bullshit.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's not fifth on the death chart at the keys of my tire.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they feel the need to put his name up there because they already know that they want to put him in.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: Now, he is my thing.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: If we come to Friday, it's not going to happen, but this is just me being a conspiracy theorist.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's fun.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's the offseason, right?
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: But if it comes to Friday, and he's one of those guys that sit now, he's starting week one.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's just where I'm going, but he's going to be starting week one if I see that.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_01]: Again, it's not going to happen.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_01]: I actually want to see him out there in preseason.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think where your real conspiracy starts is that he played a preseason game and he bought out.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, that's not where it starts because when it coaches know what they have in a guy before they step on a preseason football field.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_01]: They don't need to see a gas step in a preseason game to sell that guy can actually play football.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think preseason is, you know, more so photos, last chance guys, like show me something that I haven't seen yet.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know, but I think where is, and this is what the joint practices are going to come into play.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't really think we're going to see a start as a lot of preseason because you don't need to see a lot of preseason because they're going to have two joint practices.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to see a lot of what they you need to see competition wise against other teams.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: In practice, you're not going to really need those preseason games.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, for me, the full conspiracy theorist to come out of me.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: it would say that the bill, Bill Mary, Bill Proske, Mary, is sitting out of preseason the first game is resting because they already know what they got, they already know.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I go back to the twenty-nineteen preseason and Terry McCorme was getting set out of those games.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_01]: And we were all sitting out round one there, why is a third round working not playing at preseason games?
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: They already knew what they had to tell you McCorme.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why I just said that either I would go full below conspiracy theorist voted by Friday.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: We hear that Bill is not playing.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think he's going to play.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, I may have a fun in the off season, but that's what I'm looking forward to.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking forward to seeing how he performs against the competition.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_01]: Because this is one of the biggest position groups on the team that we want to see solidify, especially on office.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: What I do think we had the receivers, even without Terry, I mean, I'm with Mall and that you're probably not a Super Bowl contender without Terry.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: You still have receivers that Terry can work with, that he can make things happen with debos, but having a hell of a can of jail and lanes, but getting buzz.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: Someone else is going to step up in that group.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: You already know Zach Erks is going to be some stability.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: You may have a Vincent at coming on who knows, but we don't know right now.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know right now as who he merges in the right.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: I knew he was going to react.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_01]: But Bill is who I'm looking for.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: They hear positive things about in this joint practice because that's going to make you feel like, okay, this guy really is emerging in their running background and not just against Washington practice, please.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: You, you know, let's, let's just go, I'm just going to say real quick, you know, we got the fans so excited.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_02]: They haven't seen a running back and so long cut back like this, like,
- 44:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's been a long time.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like fans are extremely excited about doing like, even at the practice.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, every cup is like, wow, wow.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's fascinating because like, I had to think back like down.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: Has it been that long?
- 44:57[SPEAKER_02]: Cause they had a person that could cut back like this.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's very, it's probably best of CP.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: and Bernd and CPA never he wasn't like that agile like his jump because wasn't like this like aggressive like he didn't have any weight or explode like he he wasn't even like this this free to put like I mean we'll tell you can't wait right so like old five old six you probably saw some some some nimble see if he was different yeah for show but like the weighted bed um
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: Bill runs.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, I don't even see CCP when I, when I look at them, but I get the point in terms of like the type of ability, you know, we haven't really seen since CPN.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: That says a lot.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: But I was going to say to Jerry's point, like if we were kind of the stripper way to conspiracy side and just say like objectively speaking, how can he move up the depth chart?
- 46:03[SPEAKER_00]: Right, there's seven running backs on the roster.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: That is the most at any position, offensively and defensively in terms of like depth, right?
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: And front of the bill, it's Jeremy McNickle's in Chris, where I really is.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think that bill has a very good opportunity to become that third running back.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: And while people are long-term or
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: or along like playing a long game with Bill in terms of like who's spot will he take Brian Robinson or Austin Eckler on my thing in the short term.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_00]: Jeremy Nichols is staring right in front of him like.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_00]: According to reports, Bill is on special teams.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_00]: He's playing second string special teams right now.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_00]: So if we're talking about what he can and can't do, like if he's talking about a front of the way to contribute outside of playing on offense, he can play special teams.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_00]: Um, who knows like how good he'll be at it.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that, but like they're using him on special teams.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Rodriguez, I never took him as a serious threat to ever make a roster.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_00]: I only because of his history, like practice squad.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: If he goes to practice squad, nobody's going to miss him.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like he'll still be there.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's in my school somewhat good for him because he's going to be on active roster.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_00]: Um, the same time I might build has an opportunity to become that third string running back, which ultimately means you're getting and starting out your NFL career.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_00]: with maybe like three, four carries a game.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_00]: And like, if you're a madman player or if you're talking about like, if you want that instant gratification from a fan standpoint, that's not a lot of carries.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_00]: But you build on your opportunities and NFL and that's how you get more opportunities when you show what you can do and you're limited amount of opportunities.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so I, I personally think if he can challenge me knickles, because I think he can easily jump Chris Rodriguez.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_00]: If you can challenge me knickles for that third string spot, then we're talking about somebody who has a really good opportunity and a regular season to eventually force his way into the touches that Brian Robinson has or even Austin Eccler.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_00]: Um, whatever that may look like.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_01]: What do we make a B-Rop feeling of punts?
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: I thought they'd do that when they were ready to see what the hell been.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: What else can we get this guy to do with this point?
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out the real me to tweet this day out.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing sad quests out there.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: And that's something I have never seen be robbed out there, uh, don't puts before and all my years of kind of following training camp, especially since he's been there.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: So it kind of got my curiosity a little peak that what's going on with with that like why why is be robbed back there, you know, fielded puts.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: Because he doesn't strike these apartments out of kickoffs.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: I can get it because you have running backs where they kickoffs.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: This is one of the more popular things with the new kickoff format.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: So, I was just a little curious about here in B-Rops, and they built it quite well, man.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: They really had them build them, huh?
- 49:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and they said he was built up, yes, and he's practiced.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_00]: Right, man.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I mean, I mean,
- 49:25[SPEAKER_02]: If I would be robbed and they would like, you know, get back on specialties and feel punts.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be like, you know, I need to start looking to get rid of my lease, break it by lease here, or something, because that, I mean, you got KJ Osborne that can return punts.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: You got, you got a man, you got B-boe, you got D-boe, you got D-boe, because he's done it.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: I know I personally had a conversation with B-minch about Jayden Lane.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, being the part returner and that was going to be his role for sure.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_02]: He said he just wasn't sure who was going to be taking the kickoff return.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, duties, but he know that he, he's had a conversation with Jayland about kickoff return.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_02]: So to hear that your, your supposed number one running back is back there filled in punts is like,
- 50:19[SPEAKER_02]: What what are we what are we doing like so they don't that's the time you have the kids the conspiracy there is in me wrong at this point like I said the conspiracy there's this kind of building up the display and these things all factor in it I didn't know about this I really don't know what to say from it, but I mean that's kind of that's kind of wild.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_02]: I always
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'm stated on here that I felt like B Rob could be, he could be one of those guys that gets moved towards, you know, the roster cuts and stuff like that trade was.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't really know that that's insane.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we might learn a lot by if he gets some touches in the preseason games.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_00]: Um, a couple things, Tyler Owens, I think is a good, I mean, they've been using him all across the secondary, a slight, free, strong.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so I think that's a good call, but will Harris, um, is the guy that they brought in here money ball to be their starter.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_00]: So, uh, let's not omit his name.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: in this competition because that's the name that you want to kind of pay attention to when you talk about who's going to be that strong safety for Washington.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think Tyler Owens is an interesting guy because I'm even Joe Whit mentioned or it Joe Whit acknowledged opportunity to try to get him on the field.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously with Jeremy Cheng gone played down there a hundred percent of the snaps every single game that he was available.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he played every single game in this season for last season, excuse me.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_00]: uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh
- 52:31[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I do think it's interesting because Joe Whit mentioned, you know, he was dealing with his injuries last year when somebody mentioned Johnny Newton.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and like, I remember a conversation that we had when JP was on here and I was trying to say,
- 52:48[SPEAKER_00]: Not that a list Frank is different.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's the exact same as what was the injury.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you didn't have to list Frank because I had to list Frank.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_00]: It was something else.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_00]: But he had it in both his feet.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, remember the foot injury.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: I remember, but I don't know the exact injury.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember the name.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so it was a lowest Johnny Newton foot injury, twenty twenty four.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_00]: He had Jones fractures.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_00]: And both his feet.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_00]: And like the end of the day, short Jones fractures aren't Liz Frank injuries, right?
- 53:29[SPEAKER_00]: But you're talking about somebody who's having to deal with the surgeries, but also having to deal with the recovery, but also having to play in the NFL.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: and however many games you do play like trying to adjust or move on the fly with like a two surgically repaired feet.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: And like that in itself is difficult regardless of if you had a list, Frank or a Jones fracture right, but you're going to see this season now where you're not dealing with these injuries.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_00]: So now you get like a full off season where your focus on getting better from a player in a technical standpoint.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_00]: And now we got to see like what Johnny can do with like the conversation competition around him.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: elevated even with the loss of a Jonathan Allen like it's a addition by subtraction thing like you just brought in Vaughn Miller, but you got your Vaughn Kim, a little problem on the move across the line.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_00]: We spoke with did you watch right?
- 54:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like he said that what was his favorite technique?
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: He said three to no, he said five to.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, which is like outside of the tackle.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_00]: But he can play he played as close to as one tech so like they can move him if they need to like Johnny needs to find his niche on that defensive line where he can dominate But like he needs to understand I'm it, but of course you're in your second year.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like there's a immense pressure on you when you lose a Jonathan Allen and you're the one that's the long term player here
- 55:04[SPEAKER_00]: We would love to see you take that next step.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure from a coach standpoint, obviously from a fan standpoint, I think Johnny Newton, who mentioned Johnny Newton, so I can get him in the shot up, probably just passed on.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, money ball.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think Johnny Newton is a really good one on that defensive front, regardless of who else is, who else they brought in to bring in or to improve that defensive one.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I think Johnny knew who's one of those other guys that I want to see in their live reps and the preseason game.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I've seen them being stout with their defensive line rotation and he was a part of that.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_02]: But I think that Johnny Williams, one of those guys that can shine in these preseason games is get off.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_02]: He says that he feels healthy.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think his moment of shine will be in these preseason games because he's not going to be sitting out.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_02]: He's not going to be
- 56:05[SPEAKER_02]: I came all our pain or whatever the case is.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think it'll get opportunity to go against some of these these darts and also some of these cycles.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think it'd be able to line up all over the field.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_02]: So be interesting to see how you utilize it and what he takes advantage of with these opportunities because he didn't get to play.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't get to play preseason last year.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_02]: He missed like the first couple of games or regular season of the last year.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't get any preseason right.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think that'd be huge rim.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_02]: They're fully healthy this time and not having to focus on rehab.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I think it's just I think some of the guys that we're mentioning so far, I think we really got to see them and
- 56:49[SPEAKER_02]: and live reps against like actual, a different team, you know me, like Connelly, the Tyler Owen, we heard about him playing some hardbacker being all over in the secondary.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_02]: Now we talk about Johnny new in.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we just got to see what he's going to break to the table in these pre-season games along with the Baptiste of the world.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_02]: Jordan McGee, Jordan McGee is a perfect, another perfect guy.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_02]: What are you going to do in these preseason games?
- 57:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, who's important that we ought to mention before we get out of here, um, Vincent, uh, Zachers at playing in the preseason.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_00]: I guarantee he probably going to obviously going to do the joint practices right, but Vincent is somebody again similar to Johnny who they have under contract.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_00]: for a couple more years.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, what him and John Bates, but like John Bates has his defined role, then Senate has a role, but he was limited because they, if you let the people around the building or like who have strong opinions based on like their daily observations,
- 58:05[SPEAKER_00]: been sent it was slow and picking up the offense.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_00]: And like Ben really needs to have a strong year too.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're strong year two, mean, fifty catches, five hundred yards, a few touchdowns, no.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_00]: But you need to see somebody who is active in terms of like playing faster.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody who's available in the passing game for a jade in.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_00]: And having more than what fucking nine catches on the season, right?
- 58:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's ridiculous.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_00]: And he didn't get hurt.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_00]: So it was like, what the fuck?
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, that's kind of where I met with Ben.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think in the pre-season at the very least, I think this is a good opportunity for him.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_00]: Who's not going to see, I'm assuming, in a position where exact urge is not going to see that many snaps.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think Ben is going to have to need to, like, he's going to have to be the co-alternar, like the person who co-should more in what two years before he, yeah, he's going to win ten.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_01]: And he's talking about something.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_01]: Co-to.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's a busy.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's quite all last year.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's a good luck.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_02]: They're lucky.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_02]: They're lucky.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_02]: They're lucky to both of them.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, so I think I think Ben, no, Ben is definitely one of those guys where it might matter.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_00]: Let me put it this way.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_00]: Let me be spicy.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_00]: If Adam Peters wants to be right about Ben Senate and for how I thought that he reached on Ben and others thought that he reached on Ben, Ben needs to come through for Adam Peters this year.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_00]: And he needs to come through in a big way like to to ease and because he's quietly been is going quietly under the radar for no reason, especially when you get three second round picks.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_00]: And you got one of these guys who were just, it's just.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_00]: hosting obviously year one is, you know, but you get a, you cool, but you coast them right now.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I mean, you need something and Adam Peters need this man to cook more than anybody, because you can't get that with one of them.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_02]: No Ben Senate had shoulder surgery.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think that was earlier in the half season.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_01]: From boom.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_01]: Who knows they these all these those all have come back what was it easy on us for it?
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's all series and what's up why would take it easy on him?
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_01]: But that's my take it easy on be rock and age a you know mentioned early about you know seeing certain guys in live snacks and Ben Senate is one of those dudes who he may not we meant we may not be hearing a lot of fans talk about him We may not even hear the people for the talk about him.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I mean kind of lumped and Johnny Newton into this conversation as well
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_01]: But the disconnected I've been noticing is that these guys all get voluntarily mentioned by coaches when they talk about leaps.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like the coaches talk about these guys and they talk these guys up and who knows what they're seeing the fans and the beat reporters aren't seeing because again.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_01]: I can kind of read between the lines of my coaches don't necessarily like a guy or they don't necessarily think I have a guy.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_01]: But when they're voluntarily bringing certain players names up when they're talking about leaps and these guys that they're noticing in practice that are doing well, I constantly hear Ben's tennis name brought up in this conversation.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like, giant news names have been coming up lately.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's how much the whole office is.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_01]: But Ben's tennis name has been constantly mentioned with coaches talk about it.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't hear media talk about them.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get fans talk about them.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_01]: So much, but they keep saying this is what Ben does.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I also think this kind of season, you may be forced to see a lot more Ben's Senate and that because, you know, Ernst's not playing well with that or, but I think we were very fortunate to get a full season of Zach Kurtz last year at his age.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think you may see Zach Earth's missing games where you're going to have to see Ben Senate force into a role where he's going to have to contribute.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the question is, is he going to live up today?
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you know, it's interesting that you bring him up because we were talking about glass we want to see do well in the joint practices of preseason.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_01]: Ben Senate is definitely a guy I'm going to be paying attention to.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see, you know, if his Earth is not going to get a lot of snap to preseason, he shouldn't.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_01]: He should be getting those best rest days.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_01]: He should be getting that time.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_01]: So this is when you want to see a Vincent it kind of shoulder potential or show why you drafted this guy in the second round and I kind of lump him in Johnny Newton in that same category because these are both second round guys that we all have high expectations for especially Johnny Newton because when you drafted him at the time you drafted him thinking that you just drafted a picture luxury
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_01]: And we didn't get to see Johnny Moon's full potential last season, which is fine.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_01]: But we are hoping to see, it's no rush or anything, but we are hoping to see some flashes of those guys that we dragged the last year.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_01]: So the time to meet for Senate and Newton is now because I think the opportunity is going to be there.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_01]: Both of these guys have their practice in all all season.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_01]: The opportunities alone are rise in the season.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_01]: Now are you all going to start showing those flashes of why you were setting up this issue?
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_01]: So these are going to be issues to guys a lot.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_02]: Jerry, you know why the coaches are mentioning Ben Smith on Solicity?
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_02]: Because his his confidence is shot.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_02]: So they're trying to build up his confidence through the media.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I mean, if he's not doing anything in these practices where the media is even saying, oh, Benson, it did this today, like whatever is because the player's confidence behind the scenes is shot.
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it doesn't just what it is, right?
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_02]: But they could cut him.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have any, I don't have any.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have any.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_02]: They know, but then you're not wrong.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_00]: But they, they know that.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_02]: You can't cut a second round.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_00]: This is, this is very first, this is very first draft class.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_00]: They ain't going to do that.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_01]: If this is what AJ is talking about, you can cut him.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_02]: You could cut them, but you also trying to build him up.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_02]: So you're going to keep him around at least for this year.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, let's say if a yank off or a what Tyree Jackson or someone, you know, man, they take a cut loop.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think even with Luke, he's dropped a lot of passes, right?
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_02]: But I still think that they're holding on the hope when it comes to Ben, I think it's confidence to shot.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we've heard Logan Polson talk about it.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we've heard him mention Benson.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_02]: We've seen the tape where he's missing the wrong reads.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we're seeing him play like a
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_02]: Uninspired player like he's not confident in what he's doing what he's been has of which is very weird because he's been a lot of time in college like this isn't a guy that played one year or two years in college.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, I hope the best for him.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_02]: I hope that you know the Benson at fan club.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_02]: You know, get something to rave about this preseason last preseason.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_02]: It was that they catch down the same against the jets.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_02]: And that was it for the rest of the twenty four.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_02]: But you know, I just feel like certain certain coaches, they do that in the media to build up guys confidence.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_02]: like that, that's all it is because if they don't go to that, that guy's confidence in those sessions, then the media starts to wonder, what is going on with your second round pay, fight in?
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_02]: You feel me?
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like, why is he number three?
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like, even though Bates is a run block or whatever, but it's like, your, your second round pay, tight in that you use, you know, is not doing anything, is not contributing, like,
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_02]: it doesn't make sense so I mean we'll see once again during you know we'll see what he does in these preseason games but I mean I just think that when you see the coach talk and the player on soliciting it's that person is lacking confidence there it is all right
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to wrap it up for us tonight.
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_00]: All thirty two back wins day tomorrow.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and the fellas will be back.
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_00]: Try to dive late night.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_00]: Friday night man.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to actually see I try to get Jay grew to know what today.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to try to swing that for Friday.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like the day.
- 1:06:21[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to try to swing it.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to try to see if you can do.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to try to.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to try to see if you can do.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if I'm going to try to see if
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_00]: This come out this week.
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know why you're doing ever.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like, why do you get no dos.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_02]: You go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep.
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_02]: We back in action, man.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I'm looking forward to, man, football is back.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we got it up above football.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_02]: And Washington got a lot of a lot of spots on that team that we get to see play.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's the great thing about preseasoner.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like the starters on this city have to play but watching and got so many different pieces that we can look forward to and chop it up about that we will definitely have something to talk about not like we gonna be watching a Nico Marley and stuff on the hill.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's a name.
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's if he brings a drink.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna follow up with him again.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_00]: I was gonna pull up on him for the game if he was going to a bar like he say usually do, but we may say that for a day.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_00]: We don't do a close game recap.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe like the last game or something.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_00]: Um, we'll forget out because the last game ain't really shit anyway Um, it's the first two games, but yeah, that's gonna wrap it up for us our money was up pre-says you checking in We will be back Friday night all three to two back tomorrow room as seven o'clock till then man.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'll take it easy to be safe all that good stuff we have out here
- 1:08:14[SPEAKER_03]: That's it, huh?
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_03]: Watchin' throw the bump.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_03]: We gon' pick it up.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_03]: You gon' light them, hit the hole, you gon' cut it up.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_03]: You gon' play through for a long, you gon' put it up.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_03]: You're the funny savvy hitters put your pants in.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_03]: Don't be lookin' for the rest, you don't know flags in.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_03]: Keep the hell man on.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_03]: Keep the police tight.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_03]: You the type you wanna win by any means, right?
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_03]: You should look alive.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_03]: This is trapping now.
